761  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some tips for posting habit and to grow in bitcointalk forum on: October 09, 2020, 03:14:45 AM
First, read the bitcointalk forum rules and regulations including the thread for the newbie before posting -
Reading these both threads is really important, beginners should read it first before anything else, it will help them avoid making mistakes. It will also guide them on how they should act as a member of this forum. Without the rules, our forum will not be so good as what it is now. Beginners who don't even spend their time reading the rules can be prone to having violations.

Quote
Second, use the search button before posting any threads or topics you want to discuss with.
I agree with this, make it as your habit before you create a thread to avoid topic redundancy, you may also use the search engine of the forum whenever you want to know something. If you are looking for an answer to some of your questions, the search button can help you.

Quote
Third, Try to create the the best title of the topic that suits to its content.
This is important whenever you are going to create a thread, you should always make the title and the content-related, people might see it confusing. Just find the message of your content and you may use it as your title.
Quote

Fourth, Use proper grammar when using English language.
Even though not all of us are good in English including me, we should still try our best, it will improve as time goes by, just keep on reading because it will help you to improve your English grammar.

Quote
Fifth, Learn to post all details necessary for the readers not to get confused.
This is important, we should not skip any important information on our threads, we should also not add some unnecessary details just to make our content long, remember that quality is better than quantity.

Quote
Sixth, Read all the post above before making the reply.
This one will help you gain more knowledge and understand more about the topic, if you don't understand very well the topic then you may look for some information from the replies, some of our co-member have great experience in the topic and they can provide a good explanation about it.

Quote
Seventh - If you have queries and start a thread, try to be patient if you will not get replies right away.
Don't lose hope or get sad whenever you don't receive any replies on your topic because it doesn't mean that you created a useless or nonsense information.

Quote
Eight, Stay on topic if you will going to reply.
This is somehow related to the number 5, just focus on the topic whenever you are going to make a reply, just don't add any unnecessary information.

Quote
Nineth, Do not copy and paste posts of others.
This is written on the rules of the forum, you should never plagiarize or else you will get banned, in our real life, plagiarizing is a crime, you should know the consequences whenever you will do such things.

Quote
Tenth, Do not spam like sending generic reply just to increase forum activity.
This is true, we should avoid this thing, I've noticed some members that they are doing things like this just to complete the number of posts they should create for the campaign.
762  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin over $10,000 for the past 66 days on: October 09, 2020, 12:53:29 AM
No one can predict the value of the bitcoin or any cryptocurrency, it is volatile and it changes its value time by time, so there is still a possibility that it may go down from $10k and can go up as well. I think that it can reach $20k within this year, if this would happen then there would be many people who will earn a big profit.

Even though a famous or well-known person in cryptocurrency predicts the value of it for the future, you still don't need to believe them because they are just assuming and there is no big possibility that it might happen.
763  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ransomware: How to avoid CYBORG ransomware. on: October 08, 2020, 04:21:32 PM
...
I don't want to argue with you, just think what you want to think, I just shared this information that I gathered from the sources given. I don't beg for merit, do you see any a "merit" word in my thread?
Quote
How ransomware can affect our devices?
It affects it in only one way: All data is encrypted and a ransom has to be paid to decrypt them.
It's my bad, it should be "infect" and not affect, sorry for the mistake, the word is already edited.
764  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get rid of CYBORG ransomware. on: October 08, 2020, 02:08:22 PM
You have tried to let us know the risks of ransomware and how to avoid it, but the topic title is a bit different from your write up, your write up is about how to avoid while your topic title is about how to get rid of (remove) ransomware, it will be good if you edit the topic title. Preventions has always been better than cure.

It will also be good if it is generalized that all malware can be avoided using the same process of malware avoidance for all types of malware, be it trojan, botnets and ransomware etc.
Sorry sir, I am not that good at English grammar, its just a misunderstanding about what word will I am going to use in the title  Grin, anyway thank you for the good criticism, I appreciate it. I am done editing my topic title and I already generalized about how to avoid ransomware.

Introduction
There are many people who have so many important information or data stored in their computer or any devices that is why they are really afraid when a specific virus enters their computer but there are still some things that we do that causes a virus to enter our devices one of which is the ransomware specifically the cyborg ransomware.

History of ransomware
The first documented ransomware was on 1989 which is the AIDS Trojan and also called PS Cyborg. A biologist Josep L. Popp sent 20,000 infected diskettes labeled as "AIDS information - Introductory Diskettes" to the WHO's international AID conference, after 90 reboots the trojan hid the directories and encrypted the names of the file to its customers. They asked for $189 to be sent to CYBORG corp to regain access.

What is Cyborg ransomware?
It is a kind of malicious software discovered by GrujaRS, this malware is considered as ransomware which is design to encrypt your data and will ask for ransom or payment to decrypt the data. Your files will be renamed with the extension of ".petra" examples, picture.png.petra, intro.txt.petra. when you see that extension then you are under cyborg ransomware. Once the cyborg's process has finished, it will store a text file ("Cyborg_DECRYPT.txt) on your desktop and will change your wallpaper.

Text presented in CYBORG ransomware text file ("Cyborg_DECRYPT.txt"):
Code:
------------------------ ALL YOUR FILES ARE ENCRYPTED BY CYBORG RANSOMWARE ------------------------

Don't worry, you can return all your files!

All your files like documents, photos, databases and other important are encrypted

What guarantees do we give to you?

You can send one of your encrypted file and we decrypt it for free.

You must follow these steps To decrypt your files :

1) Send $300 bitcoin to wallet :9e3d4e3fad796f4eb15962b74fb2e55fe47

2) write on our e-mail :petra-mail.ru

Your personal ID :3N3LN3RJ7OBBQ90191NJ2F51N7K L02R2A99K75QKPKLOA79933

Threat summary:
Code:
Name:	CYBORG virus
Threat Type: Ransomware, Crypto Virus, Files locker.
Encrypted Files Extension: .petra
Ransom Demanding Message: Cyborg_DECRYPT.txt
Ransom Amount: $300 in Bitcoins
Cyber Criminals' Cryptowallet Address: 3N3LN3RJ7OBBQ90191NJ2F51N7KL02R2A99K75QKPKLOA79933 (Bitcoin)
Cyber Criminal Contact: petra-mail.ru
Detection Names: Kaspersky (HEUR:Trojan-Ransom.MSIL.Gen.gen), Fortinet (MSIL/Kryptik.OVF!tr), McAfee-GW-Edition (BehavesLike.Win32.Backdoor.tc), CrowdStrike Falcon (Win/malicious_confidence_80% (D)), Full List Of Detections (VirusTotal)
Symptoms: Cannot open files stored on your computer, previously functional files now have a different extension (for example, my.docx.locked). A ransom demand message is displayed on your desktop. Cybercriminals demand payment of a ransom (usually in bitcoins) to unlock your files.
Distribution methods: Infected email attachments (macros), torrent websites, malicious ads.
Damage All files are encrypted and cannot be opened without paying a ransom. Additional password-stealing trojans and malware infections can be installed together with ransomware infection.

This text file includes a message saying that your data has been encrypted by CYBORG and they will ask you a ransom or a payment of $300 in the bitcoin currency for decryption, and for the proof that they can decrypt your data, they will decrypt one file for free to show that the can still be encrypted by them. There is also an email address provided to contact them, those hackers used a strong way of encryption and cannot be "cracked" by free programs.

How ransomware can infect your device?
Trojans, spam campaigns, fake software updater, software crack can spread the virus and the ransomware as well.

1. Trojans - is a malicious program that can infect the chain, it downloads and installs other malware.
2. Spam campaigns - it is used to send out emails containing some deceptive words and infectious attachments. Those mails are commonly highlighted as:
- priority
- official
- important

These attachments can be in various formats:
- archive and executable files.
- Microsoft office documents(PDF, Docx, etc.)
- Javascripts

Opening one of these can trigger the sustem infection.
3. Fake software updater - it install a malware instead of installing new updates.
4. Cracks - infects the system by downloading and installing a malware,

How to protect yourself from a ransomware
1. Suspicious and irrelevant emails should not be opened.
2. Use official and verified download channels
3. Software should be updated with functions/tools provided by legitimate developers.
4. Have a reputable anti-virus/anti-spyware suite installed and kept up-to-date.

Here is the text file from the CYBORG ransomware:

This is the picture of the encrypted data.

This is the picture of what will be your desktop after the process of CYBORG:

I would like to know What is House Edge and how it effects gambling ?
I am not new to gambling but still never understand this term clearly.
You are not new in gambling but you don't know what hours edge is?
You don't forget to be active in gambling but you forget to make some research, we can identify things through research, there is always an answer when we take time for searching about it.

The House edge is all about favor on the casino itself, once the gambler wins on a specific game, the casino still wins and earned more money than the winners, it happens in the long term of the game when there are many players who try the game.
767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Say btc is Not ponzi but its look like ponzi on: October 08, 2020, 07:00:23 AM
I have some few questions for you  OP,
1. How do you define Ponzi?
2. What makes you believe that bitcoin is a Ponzi?

Well, in fact, the ponzi scheme is about fake investment, and bitcoin was not made only for investment, we should gather more information first before we conclude some important things.

Have a time on visiting these threads and let's see if you still considered bitcoin as ponzi Smiley.

768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are people giving up on Bitcoin too quickly? on: October 08, 2020, 06:27:22 AM
Those people who started giving up on bitcoin are those who do not know too many things about cryptocurrency but if you are a strong believer in cryptocurrency then for sure you know how much can bitcoin benefit all of us. It has good potential to replace the fiat currency in the future but it takes so much time before it happens. Those people who gave up on bitcoin have wasted the opportunity to become successful in the future.
769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone accidentally sent or received BTC to and from another address? on: October 08, 2020, 02:19:24 AM
I haven't encountered yet receiving any funds from an unknown crypto wallet but if I have, it would be a blessing for me Grin, the person who gets wrong of sending the funds in the wrong crypto waller would be so sad because it is their lost especially if we are talking about the huge amount of money but they can't do anything just to turn back the money that has sent to a wrong crypto wallet. This should be a lesson for them that we really need to double-check the recipient's crypto wallet before we send the funds.
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption - Climate Change - Internet Access on: October 08, 2020, 01:44:17 AM
Internet connection plays a big role in the adaptation of the cryptocurrency because without it we cannot have any access at all to the crypto world. Just like in our country sometimes it is hard for me to have any online transaction because of having an unstable internet connection, whenever I am going to send a fund to another crypto wallet, it takes time before you can send it. It is convenient to have access to your crypto wallet and have a good transaction whenever you have a strong internet connection.
771  Economy / Economics / Re: Mathematics and economy on: October 07, 2020, 03:22:51 PM
Those people who win the OLYMPIC will have a good future because for sure there would be many opportunities that will come to them after winning, winning in OLYMPIC means that you are really good and there are many companies who are looking for that person to work with them. This would be better if you add the link or the source where you get that information do we can believe that there is a good relationship between the increment of the investment and the winning to the Olympics.
772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people avoid bitcoin? on: October 07, 2020, 09:44:01 AM
People tend to avoid having a transaction in cryptocurrency because they don't have good enough knowledge about it, that is what I notice for some people in our country because of being lack of knowledge, of course, if you don't have good knowledge about the crypto world and you are on the traditional bank, you wouldn't believe any online money because you only believe on fiat currency because you can see it and you can use it for anywhere.
I do notice that some people naturally don’t allow bitcoin in any of their daily transactions
Totally wrong. You misunderstood it. People can not allow or disallow bitcoin and bitcoin transactions. Miners do it because bitcoin is operated by Proof-of-work and the transaction will be confirmed by miners, not a person.
I think what he meant is that people do not use yo have any transaction using bitcoin.
773  Economy / Economics / Re: Waiters/Waitresses/bellboys etc just lost their jobs on: October 07, 2020, 05:36:18 AM
Well, that is what technology can do for us, they are capable of doing things that we can do, and for sure there would be many robots or AI that will be implemented and will take over for some other jobs, there are many jobs that has been replaced by the technologies, for the company that is using it, this thing is very helpful for them to finish the things they need to but for those people who used to do those things will be bad for them because they are being replaced by technologies which result of being jobless. The question we have now, do we really need to have robots or not? What do you think?
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: October 07, 2020, 04:32:25 AM
Boxing and MMA are quite different, if it's boxing, it's Manny who will win and if it's in MMA it's obviously Mcgregor.
MMA vs boxer, not a good fight to watch but since this attracts money, good for them.

And one thing I would disagree, Pacman does not upset Thurman as he was the betting favorite in the fight.
Yeah, that is true, both MMA and boxing are different sports, I think it is a good fight for me, the fight will be going to boxing and I want to see McGregor if he can win against a professional boxing player. We know that both fighters are great and can show the things we want in their different sports, that is why I am so excited for this fight, this would be a great fight.

It is just a bonus fight and the money that Manny Pacquiao can earn here will be sent to the victims of the pandemic in the Philippines.
775  Economy / Economics / Re: People lose Faith and Hope for banking and tradional markets on: October 07, 2020, 04:13:12 AM
We are still suffering because of the pandemic, there are many things that have changed when the pandemic started and there are also many people who lose their job as well. Even though the economic falls so har, I am still believing that it can recover because as we can see the cases of COVID-19 is now decreasing compared before.
There is Strong evidence that BTC Will hit to 100k+
In one Week or Even faster!
Evidence? Then where it is, it is impossible for the bitcoin to hit 100k+ in just one week that is a big joke, so basically you are only assuming ,that and besides you don't even give the evidence that you are talking about.
776  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: October 07, 2020, 03:08:25 AM
Both cryptocurrency and fiat currency is important in our daily lives but I prefer this cryptocurrency as of our current situation, because of this pandemic, I lost my job as well, I am working in a convenience store and when the pandemic started, the store had to stop so I lost my job, one thing that makes me survive with this pandemic is cryptocurrency. I joined some forums like this one and cryptotalk. I also become more active in trading and investing which also gives me some income.

There are many people who suffered because of the pandemic, thankfully we have the government who help us in our daily needs during the lockdown.

Actually, this pandemic is not bad at all of me because it makes me more active in this forum and I learned a lot of things about cryptocurrency, I am so thankful because I joined this forum which has much quality information.

I don't know the things that I can do to earn money without this cryptocurrency. I am so thankful to my friend who told me about cryptocurrency.
777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another record, this is the 79th day on 2020 in which BTC has opened above 10k. on: October 07, 2020, 02:21:57 AM
I am also looking for this year to reach the record of the year 2019 but I am more looking if the price goes up to $20k, it would be a big profit if this would happen.
We still have a couple of months before the year 2020 ends and within those months there are many possible things that might happen, there are many people who are looking for $20k within this year and there are also many people who get disappointed because it seems like it wouldn't happen but for me I will still hope for it. There are still many things that mught happen, we don't have control over it.
That is true, we still have many months before 2020 ends and there are also many things that might happen within these 3 months, maybe we could see the price of bitcoin hitting up to $20k, if this would happen, I will consider it as our Christmas gift, this is what can make us excited and happy.
778  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enough is enough! Good bye Bitcoin! on: October 07, 2020, 01:53:40 AM
There are many people who also experience the way you experienced and it is way harder than yours because of having a greater amount of lost money. Maybe that should serve as a lesson for you, every beginner or those people who do not have enough knowledge about cryptocurrency will usually experience losing especially if they invest because of being a lack of knowledge. For all the beginners who wants to invest in crypto, you better gain knolwdge first about cryptocureency before trying it. It would be hard for you to earn from investment ifnyou dont have knowledge about it at all.
779  Economy / Economics / Re: [POEM] Is that all? on: October 06, 2020, 02:02:15 PM
Nice poem buddy, this year 2020 is the worst year so far because of many things that happen within this year. This pandemic is the worst thing for this year, there are many changes that happen because of this. There are many people who die especially that older one because of the pandemic, there are also many so many businesses that fall down, especially those business that is only renting for the store, that is a big loss because the payment for the rent is still continuous even though it is not open.

I am hoping that we can recover from this things before christmas so we can celebrate without any fear and full of joy.
780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: October 06, 2020, 07:27:22 AM
Having good knowledge and enough information is such an advantage for you to win the game but it doesn't mean that you the odds of winning are always on your side, it will help you to know whether the opponent team is matched on the team you know, that is the only advantage that you can have in sports betting. It is really hard to bet or to choose where to bet if you don't have a little bit of knowledge about the game. It is just a full guess for you and it will only be based on the luck if you win the bet.
