So you are saying that Barcelona does not have as much of a problem as we think in terms of finance? I don’t think we can say that just because of what the weather is getting Gundogan as a free transfer. Yes, the salary amount is going to be there but it is at the end of the day a free transfer.
But anyway, I am positive that Barcelona is going to be able to get him on the team without too many problems. Unless of course, the player decides that he’s going to go to some other Saudi club where he is going to get paid a lot of money. And let’s be honest, the Saudi league can actually pay him a lot more money compared to what Barcelona can give him right now.
According to an insider, Fabrizio Romano Gundogan has already signed a contract with Barcelona for two years with an option to extend for another season. Yes, he could have earned money of a different order in Saudi Arabia, but obviously he decided to continue his career at the highest level, because with all due respect to the Saudi Arabian championship, La Liga and European tournaments are tournaments of a much higher order and level.
Based on the news I read also said that Ilkay Gundogan has been confirmed to join Barcelona this season. And the reason Gundogan chose not to renew his contract at Man City and instead went to Barcelona was because Man City's contract extension offer only gave him a 1-year contract. and surely that's not a good enough thing for 32-year-old Ilkay Gundogan who certainly wants to be sure about his career. And Barcelona came to offer a 2-year contract with a 1-year extension option with a higher salary than that offered by Man City, so it's no wonder Ilkay Gundogan chose Barcelona. And at least Ilkay Gundogan will also continue to play in the Champions League if he joins Barcelona. And my guess is that Xavi will focus on the Champions League for this season. And Ilkay Gundogan is likely to replace the midfielder left by Sergio Busquets, whose contract has expired.

Ilkay Gundogan really seems to be leaving Manchester City this season. Man City has actually tried to defend the captain. But it seems Ilkay Gundogan wants to get a new challenge in another league. And Gundogan's goal is now clearer, namely to Laliga and more precisely based on the news I read that Gundogan seems to have agreed to leave Man City and will join Barcelona. And Gundogan seems to have met Xavi (Barcelona coach) first. And have made a deal. I think Barcelona were very lucky because they got Ilkay Gundogan. Barcelona already has many great players and with the addition of Gundogan, Barcelona will be even stronger. I hope Man City can find a replacement for Gundogan with other great players. And currently Man City itself is also hunting for many great players. and I believe Man City can always get another great player.

Sourch: Sport.detik.com
Ilkay Gundogan seems want to try new challenge with difference league, indeed Manchester City tries defend him and rumor with Arsenal interested with him but its not enough to make Ilkay Gundogan keep stay in Primer League for next season. But I don't believe with Gundogan accepted Barcelona offering because he leave Manchester City with potential winning Champion League next season and priority Barcelona not compete last two season in Champion League.

Manchester City have found replacement for Gundogan position, Kovacic have reached agreement for joining with Manchester City and looks he has more chance winning many tittle next season by joining City than stay with Chelsea.
Man City will indeed have no trouble finding a replacement for the midfield position left by Ilkay Gundogan. And it seems it is true that Mateo Kovacic will replace the position left by Gundogan.

Apart from expecting new challenges, it seems that the reason behind Ilkay Gundogan preferring Barcelona is because the contract offered by Barcelona is much better for his career. Because Man City only offered Gundogan a 1-year contract. whereas Barcelona offers a 2-year contract and an option for an additional 1 year. and also the salary provided by Barcelona is indeed greater than that offered by Barcelona.

If only Barcelona met Man City in the Champions League later. then I think it will be the most anticipated match.
763  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: June 22, 2023, 01:59:59 PM
This is a great topic Hydrogen!  I'm surprised I'm just now seeing it.

Cutting costs when it comes to food/fuel/energy ...things of this nature is something I'm very in to.  I use a lot of the methods that you've pointed out.  My grocery store has an app and a fuel savers rewards program, and I'm constantly taking advantage of it.

I always check the local papers for coupons.  I will also always do a google search before I buy anything to make sure I can't find it at a lower cost.

Buying in bulk is something that has saved me a lot of money.  For example I buy a 36 cans of Monster Energy instead of just buy 1 or 2 at a time, and that's saved me a ton of money since I drink them for work fairly often.

Walgreen a pharmacy/grocery store here in the States will often print out coupons when you go there that are  "Spend $40, get $10 in store credit".  What I do is buy $40 worth of toilet paper and paper towels and stock up.  Anytime I get the chance to make this deal, I do.  Those $10 in store credits add up!

Wal-Mart has good credit cards with great savings being passed back for food purchases.

I will think of some others and post them here as they come to me.  But great thread!
I like how you are also quite competent in carrying out savings methods to meet your daily needs without reducing consumption or anything like that. but you tenaciously search for information and take advantage of every discount or coupon or whatever can make you more economical.

Actually I also have a character similar to yours. I personally prefer to buy in bulk. or in another sense I prefer to buy things in large quantities at once. such as for example energy drinks, medicines, even children's snacks and some instant foods. I'm used to buying them in bulk at a time because you'll get a lower price than buying retail individually.

but for vegetables and fruits I prefer to pick them in the small garden that surrounds my yard. I made my home page into a vegetable and fruit garden which was just enough for me and my family.
764  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is Inflation Happening All Over the World At Once? on: June 22, 2023, 01:49:11 PM
Inflation is happening all over the world at once due to disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, expansionary monetary policies, geopolitical tensions and trade disputes and rising commodity prices. During the pandemic it caused shortages of goods and services as well as disrupted of supply chains, which led to increased prices. Central banks around the world have implemented expansionary monetary policies, such as low interest rates and quantitative easing, to stimulate economic growth. While these policies have been successful in boosting demand, they have also led to an increase in money supply, which can lead to inflation. Geopolitical tensions and trade disputes have disrupted global trade and increased the cost of goods and services. Commodity prices such as oil and gas have also contributed to inflation.
yeah that's right. In essence, everything really started from the Covid19 Pandemic which hit almost all countries on this earth. So it is only natural that now the economic impacts experienced by all countries also have similarities. Starting with inflation caused by various factors as you mentioned. and also then the other fear right now is RECESSION. where the level of economic growth has not yet recovered and the unemployment rate has also increased quite rapidly. but this recession is also the result of the government trying to avoid inflation by raising interest rates which makes the circulation of currency withdrawn slowly. so that the economic downturn also occurs. And now even the US has temporarily stopped raising interest rates because a recession is in front of them. but in contrast to inflation that hit almost all countries. it turns out that the Recession did not hit the whole country. because in Asia it seems that the recession is not too worried for some countries.
765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: June 22, 2023, 01:41:34 PM
We've heard a lot of rumors about star players who will play in the SPL, of course this will make the SPL even more interesting to watch. Starting from Cristiano, Benzema, Kante and many other players strengthening big teams such as Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal. Last I heard rumors about Son Heung-Min being interested in one of the clubs, but he told the public that he had rejected the offer with a fantastic salary and chose to stay at Tottenham Hostpur.

What do you think? is this a sign that the future of football in Asia will be even better? or is this actually a setback because the presence of these big stars will make local potentials no longer visible?
I think the main focus of the SPL right now is to attract more attention from the football world and increase the quality of competition in the league itself. And we must also realize that there are only 4 clubs that are most actively hunting for top European players at the moment. The clubs are Al-ittihad, Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli and Al-hilal. And please also note that the four clubs are owned by the same owner. namely PIF Saudi Arabia (Public Investment Fund) which is also the owner of one of the clubs in the premier league, namely Newcastle.

It's not even half-hearted from the news that I read that there are around 50 target transfer players in this season's transfer market that you want to get. PIF manages Saudi Arabia's government finances of more than 700 billion dollars. And of course that big money is also ready to be invested in various things including in the world of sports such as football.

And I think it's a big step forward for Asian football.

With Manchester city signing Kovacic from Chelsea; i do not think they expect Gundogan to stay. Its been over a year dragging contract terms and they have been unable to reach an agreement. I hope Barcelona are able to manage Gundogan injury crisis just like Manchester city did or it would be a wrong transfer for the club.

Right profile for barcelona? yes of course. Would he fit into the barcelona team? time will tell
Without injury, Gundogan is a very good player for the team and if Barcelona are able to get this Gundogan to be placed into the team next season, I think it will be very good for Barcelona because considering Barcelona are in need of great players to support their increase in performance at Next season. After all, Manchester City also has more powerful players at the moment so Manchester City still has the best choice even though they will also bring in new players to their team for next season.
Actually Ilkay Gundogan I think would really fit in at Barcelona. Because in a fit condition Gundogan can really help become a midfielder as well as an attack line. Even when Gundogan has the chance he very rarely fails to capitalize on the opportunities he gets. Even if he is a striker I think he can be a goalscoring machine like Haaland. But the most suitable position for Gundogan remains in midfield to help the front line and also help the back line. midfield position plays an important role in the overall balance of the game on a team. And Gundogan has sufficient skills and experience for this. I think Barcelona will not let us down this season in the Champions League.

Real Madrid are a smart club and they have a policy to avoid signing too long contract with old players. I don't think they will break their policy to sign a contract with Harry Kane and even have to spend not cheap transfer cost for that striker. It wipes out all terms in their policy which has been applied in Bernabeu many years.

Between Harry Kane and Mbappe, it's wiser to invest money into Mbappe, not into Kane. Kane is older than Mbappe and even Kane is a world-class striker, he has never played beyond Premier League. Will he be able to adapt to La Liga style? Who knows? At his age, two failed seasons will be like an ending for his career.

Quote
Jesulu may only have a short-term contract with Real Madrid as he was the only alternative being considered after Real Madrid lost Benzema. If Real Madrid don't find their best new striker, then they might do it again in another transfer market while following developments on Mbappe's situation at PSG.
Joselu is young and just scored a win goal for Spain to beat Italy in Nations League. However, he is far to be considered as a world class striker. He can improve his skills like Kane did years ago and became a world class striker but I feel he won't be able to do this if nothing really big will change his career.

I am doubtful that Joselu will be able to replace Benzema for Real Madrid as there is big differences in skills and experience of two players.
Joselu himself even spoke in an interview where the content of the conversation was more or less that he said that he was indeed not a substitute for benzema. because he knows the difference in quality between himself and the Real Madrid superstar, Benzema. But Joselu is also a young player whose career can still develop much better. One day he might even become another star player.

And about Harry Kane I think Real Madrid have given up because of the high price it cost to bring Harry Kane to Real Madrid. even though about 2 weeks ago Real Madrid asked Tottenham for a discount regarding Harry Kane's price. but nothing has happened since then. and Harry Kane's name is actually more associated with other premier league clubs, namely Man United. But Man United are also rumored to be giving up their hunt for Harry Kane if there is no price reduction.

I personally feel quite sorry for Harry Kane. he is a star player but he was locked in for quite a while at Tottenham. and don't get much credit.
769  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: June 21, 2023, 07:43:56 AM
The best way so far I have found to cut expenses on food is to go shopping with a list. For me this is the only way to resist temptation of buying something tasty just to have it, when I already have a stock of something tasty at home. Also take basket but not trolley. Large and empty trolley will make you feel uncomfortable and you will fill it less needed food. That is one of the tricks marketers use.
The way you do it is exactly what I usually do. When my husband will go shopping for weekly needs, I will first make a shopping list for him to bring. And it also makes us more effective in spending money, especially in shopping.
But for the types of vegetables and fruits, I personally have a habit of planting them at home. when our family is on holiday, we have fun planting together. So that we can find plants such as tomatoes, chilies, onions, cabbage, kale and many other types such as spices around the house without having to buy them from the market. and it is our frugal method in terms of food stocks. but we didn't grow much. just enough for our family.

Another way to cut food costs is to cut back on ready-to-eat meals. because actually ready-to-eat food is quite expensive compared to the raw materials that we have to cook first. it takes extra effort but it's effective in saving.

There are speculations about Arsenal allowing Thomas Partey to leave this summer. Honestly I don't really have a problem with selling Partey at that amount. The problem is also selling Xhaka as well. It'll really leave their midfield lacking in experience though. In as much as I want him gone too but not on the back of losing two of their midfield generals at one go.
Remember that the midfield is at the heart of how they play. Even if the new guy comes in and hits the ground running, we can't realistically expect two new midfielders to hit it off immediately.
I personally prefer Arsenal to keep Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka. But it seems that Arteta really wants to make big changes to the Arsenal club. Even though what I expect from Arsenal is to keep the existing players and add a few players to the attack line. As for the midfield, I think the two players actually played quite an important role last season. But Arteta seems to have a strong desire to bring in Declan Rice. Even though the first offer was rejected by West Ham. but it seems Arsenal have not given up.

In fact, there are many other names that are also being targeted by Arsenal in the transfer market this time. for example, like Timothy Castagne and Ilkay Gundogan who are also players targeted by Arsenal this season. And Arsenal are also eyeing James Maddison, who is one of Leicester City's mainstay players. I think this season the Premier League will be much hotter than last season.

Everyone likes it when their efforts are appreciated. and also for all users in this forum. So it's not even a matter of low rank or high rank. But I think everyone will feel the same way. It's just to a different degree. And maybe it's true that for beginners getting Merit can foster higher motivation and enthusiasm. Because I've ever been in that position. when I first joined this forum. But what's more important is to focus on our goals on adding insight and believe me the quality of your posts will increase by itself and getting Merit will be more enjoyable. And the most difficult thing to maintain is our level of consistency in maintaining quality. because sometimes the influence of problems from real life can also affect our mood here.

In fact, what makes me most curious is the Al-Nassr vs Al-ittihad match, which of course will bring together Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema as an opponent. The competition from the former two best strikers from Real Madrid will be very interesting to watch.
True and im waiting it as well. Al ahli will be also coming with new squads as it was trying so hard to secure more and more european players.

https://twitter.com/centregoals/status/1671297556217753601

Since kante was officially ittihad's player and benzema welcomed him as a teammate in ittihad. It's known that if kante and benzema were coming from the same country.
That's good for benzema and kante.
I am even more excited to hear that N'Golo Kanté is also joining Al-ittihad. But to be honest, I initially suspected that Kante would enter Al-Nassr. Because Al-Nassr also made a fairly high offer for Kante. But it turns out that Al-ittihad won in the struggle for N'Golo Kanté. And with this Al-Ittihad, which already has Benzema, will certainly become a stronger team.

I wonder who Al-Nassr will bring in to accompany Cristiano Ronaldo. because from my observations last season Cristiano Ronaldo was a little difficult to find colleagues who could accelerate with him. And rumors have reached me that Al-Nassr has found a suitable candidate to pair up front with Cristiano Ronaldo. The player is Hakim Ziyech (Chelsea). but at this time there is no certainty. it's just that if Ziyech also joins the Arab league. then there is no doubt that the SPL will further enhance its reputation in the world of world football.
773  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: June 20, 2023, 01:53:50 PM
I think it does. Wages are generally lagging behind inflation and financial crisis. If you are able to set up stable business you can avoid many issues. Second jobs are bit too useless in my opinion. You waste your life marginal gains. But money generating business is something perfect. If you combine wage with business you can strike huge investment opportunities too. Not paying from bill to bill but saving money to do investments is better.
Having 2 or more sources of income will actually be enough to help financial growth in our lives. But sometimes people forget to also prioritize their health, namely giving them enough time to rest. Because doing side jobs looks easy but actually it takes our rest time. So that proper time management is needed in this case. in order to maintain a balance between work time and rest time. But indeed to avoid the impact of inflation, we inevitably have to work harder to make more money. so that we can continue to invest for the future with the maximum.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 20, 2023, 01:45:05 PM
Simeone apparently very confident with his current squad and that's why he has confirmed will not bought a lot of players to strengthen his squad this summer and it says he and Atletico Madrid will focusing to renew the contract some of players and recently Atletico has been attempts to give contract extension to their captain Koke Resurreccion and besides that Simone will attempts to hold some of important players such as Griezmann who targetted by MLS club and Alvaro Morata who aiming by Arabian club but Simone said if he want to buy players probably he will find new defenders and midfielder players but regarding forward lines although most likely Joao Felix will leave but Atletico still have Alvaro Morata, Griezmann or Memphis Depay
Diego Simeone is certainly confident with the squad owned by Atletico Madrid since last season. Because even in the last season Atletico Madrid has proven that they are quite consistent throughout the season. and managed to finish in 3rd place and get a ticket to the Champions League is also clear evidence. Diego Simeone, who has been a coach for 12 years at Atletico Madrid, of course already knows the best move for the club. It's just that the obstacle he has to face is that he has to be able to retain several players that are being targeted by other clubs.

And it seems that Joao Felix's presence at Atletico Madrid did not have much effect. because even half of last season Joao Felix also spent his time strengthening Chelsea in the Premier League. But this season Joao Felix returned to Atletico Madrid. and actually I hope that Diego Simeone can give this young star a chance to strengthen Atletico Madrid. but if he eventually had to let go. then of course it won't have any effect on the club either.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 20, 2023, 01:35:59 PM
Next season will be really tensive and unpredictable, Alot of team are really preparing to challenge Manchester city next season and Manchester city is also strengthening their team also, so we should expect an interesting games and more winning for gamblers.  I'm sure, Manchester city will not retain the title, Newcastle and Manchester United are the favourite for next year title contenders. Liverpool and Arsenal may not make the top four list next season, Liverpool needs to reshuffle their team while Arsenal has to bring in more and build a team they Will compete well.
Competition is much more fierce it looks like it will happen in the coming season. And Man City, Newcastle and Man United, who currently have quite extraordinary financial strength after changing ownership, certainly have the opportunity to be better in the hunt for the best players in the transfer market. But some news say that Newcastle has a spending budget in the transfer market this time is not too big. And this might prevent Newcastle from bringing in expensive players in this transfer market. but actually Newcastle already has a squad that is strong enough. they just need improvement in midfield and front only. getting some additional players might refresh the Newcastle squad.

But I still see Man City as the favorites even in the coming season. but because Man City may lose their player captain next season, namely Ilkay Gundogan. So of course there will be something different. but so far the line-up of Man City is the best. even their strength seemed even. it's not just Haaland they rely on. but all Man City players can always be very dangerous to the opponent's goal they face.

Im very happy now after al hilal failed to get messi from PSG and it's now able to get neves from wolves. Never has been getting an offer from barcelona but he refuses it as he was even more interesting to play in al hilal.

He will be in the same club as koulibally too. Im very happy as never has been picking the best choice rather than going to the barcelona.

Barcelona is again losing one of its target in summer transfer season. I hope that more players to come soon. It seems like that all of things going so well for al hilal after messi rejected to join in this club.
Clubs in the Saudi Professional League look set to land more stars from Europe this season. In fact, I heard that there are players from a club from the Italian league who will also join the SPL. The bottom line is that in the coming season I think the SPL league will really put out a much better game than usual.

In fact, what makes me most curious is the Al-Nassr vs Al-ittihad match, which of course will bring together Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema as an opponent. The competition from the former two best strikers from Real Madrid will be very interesting to watch.
777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Important Points to Learn from Your Worst Sports Betting Losses! on: June 20, 2023, 01:17:35 PM
Although basically I bet just for fun. But I never underestimate my bet. I always do a thorough analysis before placing a bet. And I don't like using money from my business profits either. but I only use money from side jobs which makes me less worried about losing. even though in the end when I experienced a series of defeats it really made me feel frustrated and feel the frustration that was being held back.

What I learned from my defeats is that I have to limit the amount of money I can gamble with. Because in the past I entered a moment where I almost spent my savings. Well, you know when we lose in a row and we will be curious to keep trying until we win. And can only stop when we finally win. although more money has melted and disappeared. but the satisfaction of winning I think is a pleasant sensation and makes me addicted. But that was before when I was young and didn't know risk management and financial management.
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 18, 2023, 08:36:09 AM
I can't wait to see Pochettino's performance in Chelsea because he joined the team at a moment when they don't have a good situation and the players are mostly disappointed, while still according to transfermarkt Chelsea is one the most expensive team in the premier league which can give them a good potential for the next season which is what Pochettino can use to take better place for Chelsea in the next season.

However, because of the current atmosphere in Chelsea, he needs to rebuild the team and needs to hard work there.

If Mauricio Pochettino manages to improve the squad that Chelsea has and make Chelsea even better in the new season. Then his reputation would definitely rise by leaps and bounds. And vice versa if he fails to improve Chelsea into a better shape in a short time. So actually Mauricio Pochettino's reputation will not be reduced and there will be no loss at all. because we would all take it for granted. because not even Ten Heg and Potter were able to fix Chelsea last season.

But I personally am quite optimistic that Mauricio Pochettino will be able to improve Chelsea, even if little by little. But the problem is whether Todd Boehly will be patient to see his club grow slowly or instead he wants a much faster development that will put Mauricio Pochettino under pressure and it could be that this will make Chelsea's performance fall again. I want Todd Boehly to be more patient and give the new Chelsea coach more time. because to get maximum results certainly will not be achieved in a short time.
779  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: June 18, 2023, 08:24:39 AM
Indeed, everything will return to the individual himself and to what habits and plans the individual has made for his future. And even people who are already rich are usually used to making more mature future plans. So that saving and investing may have become their habit. Because they can become rich, maybe because they have been accustomed to reliable financial management and careful financial planning since they were before they became rich.

So whether it's rich people or ordinary people, all of them must still have careful planning for the future and preparation is needed, of course. and the way is by saving and investing.
Everyone should plan saving according to his position. A wealthy person thinks about how he become more wealthy and go ahead according to the plan. A man can never succeed without a plan. Especially if some one is not financially planned then his future can be under big threat. If one is able to maintain both investments and savings normally he can be financially sound in a short period of time. Agree with you that both rich and poor should keep both savings and investment as much as they can according to their ability.

Besides, most of the wealthy person in the world knows the reality of the world more than we probably do.

We should still save and invest accordingly because if we don't, there will be a time that our wealth will go down the drain as we don't have any passive income that will support our lifestyle and we should always think that what we have is not unlimited too. I agree, there must be a plan for everything and a plan after that as a back-up because we never know what might happen down the road.
Exactly right. And rich people sometimes they have information that they get a lot faster. They have informants everywhere. This will make them always one step further ahead of us. Their insight into the world of business and all things that make their opportunities for profit much greater than the average person.

But still, we as ordinary people can also take wise steps in finance and in planning to grow our finances. with the internet, now we can use it to get information faster than anyone as long as we are proficient and active in searching for it. To save maybe we do not need any information. but to invest it is very clear that we will need fast and accurate information.
