I would not be surprised if we saw a Guide talking about how to create a Guide in the forum, but really, does this information deserve to have its own Guide? Account No. 2 and other accounts have been deleted and may have been created by Satoshi or Sirius, but if the title of this topic was about this question, it would be somewhat acceptable.

Tracking the account ID will help you if the user changes the username, as the account ID cannot be changed.
Thanks for the information but change of user name doesn't seem to be common on the forum.
This is because first of all I didn't think it can be done from your profile but rather by theymos himself right?
762  Other / Beginners & Help / Profile trick on: November 26, 2023, 02:34:03 PM
What was the first account created on Bitcointalk ? Well the simple answer is admin
How about the third ?
That is actually Satoshi ok precisely here are the first 5 created accounts on Bitcoin talk after Satoshi.
Why did I bring this up and how did I get this info?
Now here is a simple trick on how I got these profiles.
Open your profile, click merit then click the url text box and edit the last digits after the url.
Points to note;
1. The digits in the url signifies your unique profile number.
2. Now if you place a new set of digits after that url without ur unique profile digits and hit search it will open the merit history of the user with that profile number.
Below are a series of illustration

Why didn't I mention account 2? This is because I tried using same thing for profile numbers 2,5 and a few others but it didn't return any profile what could be the cause?here is the message displayed.

Don't forget to keep your keys safe 😁

First of all Bitcoin investments is not for everyone.you do not expect one struggling with drug addiction to invest in Bitcoin or someone who hates crypto to buy and hodl some Bitcoins.
Secondly you must not buy large amounts of Satoshi before you can say you have invested in Bitcoin.you can always buy al little as possible that is why we say invest what you can afford to lose

MATTER WEY NEWLY DE SUP SUPPOSE MAKE EVERYBODY ALL COMMOT THEIR COINS GO THEIR OWN WALLET

Everybody no say u suppose hold ur key and coins by ursef. To de leave your coin make other pipo de control am like Dem centralized exchange, web wallet ,interest account and many many others , mean say no b ur coin at all and Dem fit make am say u no go fit access am any time.Apart from the matter say many of dis service don lock pipo make Dem no fit access their account many times con sti de pressure Dem make Dem do KYC , many many pipo sti de use all dis pipo and service take de hold their coin con sti de put am 4 mind say dat kind matter no fit happen to Dem.

Den to come talk of dem truckers way de canada. Weda you agree wit Dem or not e nor matter. Watin I b de interested in na how government go take answer Dem,way b say Dem go freeze account, reverse transaction and seize money way dis pipo and pipo way de donate give dem get.Nor b only normal bank account oo dem sti do am to their crypto exchange account.dem nor no say their government fit access their moni any time.i nor no d kind matter  way Dem de reason. After dat matter come talk of Russian invasion matter.some Countries de seize Russia pipo property, de freeze their accounts, de stop  Russian banks, de commot Russia from all d  SWIFT system way de, plus many many other tins.Yes na,dis matter go painPutin, but e go sti pain other  Russia pipo, plus d ones way no get hand for anytin way no sti want war. How u go feel wen u no say decision way ur government make way u no agree to at all fit make Dem seize or freeze ur moni and asset? Beta thinking matter no de here. 768  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Y beginners need to de shine eye 4 their privacy matter on: November 24, 2023, 07:45:40 PM
Nice translation Mia Chloe. Privacy na one matter wey we suppose dey take very seriously when we dey surf for internet. Corporations like Google, Facebook, Twitter etc dey collect our data from our devices like name, sex, age, location, ip address, browser history, purchase activity, come sell am to whoever get deep pocket. Another way dem dey take steal our data na through KYC, it's either the exchange go sell the information or the agency wey dem contract to sell am Sometimes this data fit go end up for dark web, so imagine the harm wey e fit do to you if bad actor get hold of your data. Like this, make we dey careful, make we dey use VPN, TOR and make we dey avoid KYC.
Thanks for this thread, this information really dey helpful. You know say many of us don believe all this browsers wey we take dey save our personal information, things that are very necessary to us, we believe say, it's save than other places, this is very surprised say government fit get access to our bitcoin informations, how possible is it for them to even cast our privacy? We really need to be very careful, now wey don know say this kind thing dey sup, we need to know what we are doing, because many people don believe on this chrome and website that we are saving our privacy, base on say we no believe people wey dey around us, dey can cheat is at any time, now the government and the website we are using is what to be afraid of now, because nobody want take lose waiting dey important to am, internet na very very scary place.
The tin na very annoying matter my country people d worst part b say many people no de aware of all dis tins and Dem de trust does useless privacy policy way most of dis website Dem de give us.
All dis people de use dose privacy policy matter take cover pipo eye from d risk way Dem de as Dem de give out their KYC information.
769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How do I go about this? on: November 24, 2023, 12:09:08 PM
For the generation of the master keys and child keys:

Use https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ offline, not online. You can use it to generate the keys and addresses from seed phrase.

For offline usage:
Use the html on a word editor: https://github.com/iancoleman/bip39/releases/latest/

For security reasons, use it offline on a word editor.
Thanks alot Charles Tim and Zaguru12
Is there a similar script I can run on phyton?
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / How do I go about this? on: November 24, 2023, 11:47:11 AM
Using mnemonic phrases also known as seed phrase to generate private keys for a wallet is normal during wallet creation.however I been wanting to try generating a private key by myself from the seed phrase outside the wallet software. I tried using the seed from  an HD wallet of BIP-32 standard But am having a hard time getting the right algorithm for generation of the master key and chain code .
How do I go about this pls?
771  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things you should know about dust on: November 23, 2023, 02:26:36 AM
Op what about a scenario whereby you merge both the amount of cryptos you want to transfer to someone including the transaction fees but yet it keeps saying unable to transfer due to dust UTXO what can someone do at that time because I've encountered a situation whereby I have 0.0008575btc in my wallet then I wanted to send it to another address but the transaction fee was about 0.00093btc so I now tried sending 0.0007645btc to the address but I still got the dust UTXO error so what can be done in other for the dust error not to appear again
From the numbers you gave above,0.00093btc which is the transaction fee is larger than the amount 0.0008575btc which you are willing to send.I suggest you fund your wallet with more Bitcoins as the mempool is still quite congested owing to high fees.
You can also make use of SEGWIT address on lightning network to help reduce your fees

The press child board is not quite active like the main discussion board although it contains some elements of news.
773  Other / Meta / News board on: November 23, 2023, 01:30:37 AM
The importance of news and information cannot be over emphasized especially in the crypto space. With the fast growing network of Bitcoin alot of things happen which as Bitcoin supporters we would like to know from time to time.
Over time threads of many kinds have been created on this forum which served as a form of news  to forum members in general. Here is a couple of them I could  find on just the first page of the discussion board;

A news subboard would increase the rate at which more news updates on Bitcoin are shared in the forum.it would also organize the  forum better.
What do you think?

I nor de eva normally tel people make Dem watch videos, but dis one worth d 30 minutes even if I nor sti like him style: Data Brokers: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

The whole matter sef de fear pesin. Everybody no (or suppose no )say many browsers, websites, and apps de  monitor you and Dem de  collect ur data. Watin many people no no b say data brokers de buy and sell Every single one way Dem collect  from u. dis data fit b money way u de owe or how your body take de and Dem fit sell am give  anybody way want am.One broker way dem de  call Epsilon settle 4 $150 million after Dem don sell data tire  give  people way Dem no say b scammers for over 10 years. Dem don sell Data give domestic abusers and stalkers(people way de monitor) way go  allow dem track  old victims.D video talk one case way pesin die bcos of him data way Dem sell for money way no reach $50.

Many  companies talk say ur data de hidden, de-identified, or Dem de added  with other data before dem share am or sell am, and many pipo think say Dem de safe.dem find out from One study say 99.98% of all dis  anonymized data Dem fit  de-anonymized am  and Dem fit use am identify users. To de Anonymize  data no get meaning.common website way we fit visit(without say we no even do anything for d website) go still give the website enough information to take identify the user, track their contact information, con sti send am email after some minutes.

Dem de  sell your data give government. Governments fit need  warrant or other legal ruling to fit come search your computer or device, but Dem nor need any permission to take buy that information from data brokers. Many government agency de buy ur data and dem de use am  for anything way Dem want.dis matter ressemble matter of dis agency Dem de use data analysis from many blockchain company tay track ur Bitcoin transaction and ur Bitcoin address.

To add join am, centralized exchanges de  provide many type of data give data brokers, especially if you by urself  give Dem ur KYC information d same tin with  blockchain explorers d same tin with  SPV and light wallet servers.d same tin wit sites like Coinmarketcap or other  crypto news site. All dis Bitcoin information and other information way relate to crypto Dem go pool am join other of ur info way Dem get con sell am give  anybody way want am,even Dem  scammers and criminals. Remember say na simple click of website give d website info way go reach no d pesin way click am.you really wan make d whole world know how many bitcoin you de hodl?

D way Dem tay de cast our privacy and watin we de do day by day too much. So no make am worse by say u con de cast ur privacy matter by ursef.

775  Other / Beginners & Help / Things you should know about dust on: November 21, 2023, 01:25:14 PM
The term"Dust" or "Dust coin" is unique to Bitcoin. It refers to very small amounts of Bitcoin that are economically too small to spend. This is because these amounts of Bitcoin to be sent are so small that the transaction fees needed to transact them  becomes bigger than the Bitcoin to be sent. These dust coins are typically tiny fractions of Bitcoin that are lower than the minimum transaction limit of the network.Due to this fact many wallet would display a UTXO error or rather some custodian wallets would display a feedback of  insufficient Bitcoins. To further explain better, below are a list of properties related to Dust coin.
Note-->Any additional information would be appreciated

  •   The Dust Limit factor
The Bitcoin dust limit is the minimum amount of Bitcoin that can be included in a transaction or transacted with. This limit helps maintain the efficiency of the network. It also serves as a form of protection against spam on the network.
  •    Transaction Fee factor
The major problem accompanying dust transactions is  the transaction fees required to spend them.Due to the fact that it makes the transaction economically unfeasible. Consider it a situation of trying to send 1 cent with a fee of $10 or even more.
  •   The UTXO Set
The UTXO error is one of the most common error displayed when trying to carry out a dust transaction.Dust transactions can contribute to the growth of the Unspent Transaction Output (UTXO) set which consists of all unspent transaction outputs on the Bitcoin network.Large UTXO can have negative effects on the Bitcoin network performance and scalability.
  •   Wallets
Some cryptocurrency wallets carry out certain strategies to handle dusts. For instance some wallets consolidate small inputs into larger ones when possible to make  them easier to  manage.
  •   Dynamicity
The problem of dust and other limits on the Bitcoin network may be fixed over time based on changes that may occur to the Bitcoin protocol, community consensus and other network related factors.
  •   To Prevent Spam
The reason for the dust limit design is to prevent flooding of the Bitcoin network with numerous tiny transactions, which could be used for spam or  bloat the UTXO set of the Bitcoin network.
  •   The Satoshi
The smallest unit of Bitcoin is referred to as a satoshi. One Bitcoin contains a standard division of 100,000,000 satoshis which contributes to the number of decimals in a Bitcoin. in some cases dust transactions can involve amounts smaller than a satoshi.

In conclusion, generally a Bitcoin transaction consists of an input which is the source of Bitcoin to be sent and the output which is the receiver or destination. In most cases if the input size is too small the transaction may be treated as a dust.

Don't forget to keep your keys safe mate 😁
776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins on: November 18, 2023, 06:16:04 PM
Haha 😅
I don't think Bitcoin should be compared with alt coins. Bitcoin is the OG of the crypto space so if there be any important comparison I think it should be between alt coins only.
Altcoins are mainly suitable for trading not hodling.trading with altcoins also require experience and skills to avoid losses
777  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: November 18, 2023, 05:38:43 PM

I get some senses that we are not just arguing about semantics, but I also get a sense that you have differing ideas from me (more than just how we are expressing ourselves) about how to think about probabilities of some things happening in comparison to what ultimately ends up happening.

I am not necessarily going to stop responding when I differ in opinion from another member, and I believe that a point needs to be clarified, but sometimes I am not going to feel any need to repeat  points that I already made, even though sometimes if I am being directly confronted, I might choose to attempt to clarify, to the extent that I might feel that it is possible to clarify without too much just attempting to repeat points that I feel that I had already made more clearly at an earlier time.
Apart from the fact that this thread serves as a form of enlightenment as JayJuanGee as well as other forum members have taken their time to give Thier different views on investment in Bitcoin,This thread also serves as a form of modification of wrong ideas of people in investing in the wrong assets.
One is advised to invest in assets that would appreciate over time rather than dip therefore Bitcoin is the easiest choice.one only has to be cautious of his wallet security and private keys and hodl as much as possible to be successful in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

I do not support the opinion that Bitcoin is only a topic for adults, if Bitcoin is to become the currency of the future, isn’t it our responsibility to prepare those who own that future for it? Btw I just watched the video and I’m impressed with how they explained the concept of Bitcoin in layman’s terms. Kudos to the creator for making a Bitcoin educational video that’s not boring but contains some humor. So far the reel has 841k views on Facebook, that means it’s going viral. I went through the comment section, and ofcourse there were a bunch of scam accounts promoting one exchange or the other.
Wow SatoPrincess it has been a long while since I saw your posts on this forum nice to actually see you reply here.
Actually the cartoon was quite interesting due to the fact that it still had some humor and funny parts. Teaching kids about Bitcoin is not a bad idea but they simply should not be forced to learn about it.

Most people especially kids have heard about Bitcoin or crypto currency without really knowing what it is about or how it works.recently I came across a particular video which I found online.it was an animated video giving a very brief and basic knowledge about the concept of Bitcoin. It talked about why Bitcoin was created, how Blockchain works ,as well as mining.I saw it as a good approach to teaching young ones or even newbies about Bitcoin.Without saying much here is a link to the video.
