761  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be mindful of what you says out there because it could affect the other. on: January 06, 2024, 08:51:06 PM
This na one of the reason why some persons nor dey like to help others with any update, because person wey you feel say na your gee, fit dey you back dey cast you back to back. I think if you wan introduce person to this forum, na to tell Dem say you want make everything dey on a coded so that if any of you friend go cast you, you go just know say na snitch be that, though you fit forgive am after the act oo but trust no go fit ever dey the same. So abeg all those new comers make we mind the way when we take dey talk give outsiders about this forum matter. Including inside the forum, for out side Nigeria local board, some person dey go outside dey talk anything wey enter their head, and e nor good, new year new life, make we try change abeg.
762  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: 15% annual profit on: January 06, 2024, 06:18:35 PM
Actually no to your question, I no sure say any naira investment dey worth am, so long as say na legit which means the return nor dey high reach even 50 percent for small period of time. I bet you say if to say you put that same amount for the beginning of last year your profit for big pass like that. Like this now, the only reason wey I dey see to keep savings for naira na just because of emergency situations if not, the rest na to use am buy Bitcoin keep for a long time. Because like this, naira no worth to keep for long period of time oo. Wattin bank go give you as interest for keeping your money with Dem for 1 year, you fit get am for Bitcoin for just 1 month.
763  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Glo and it's network wahala on: January 06, 2024, 06:06:00 PM
Omor no be small oo, now sef e come be like say na all the networks Dem naim dey misbehave. Because I dey use Airtel and MTN and before you go know their network don dey misbehave even for normal call sef. I think say joke until people tell me say dem don dey call me say the network dey tell them something else. Then when e comes to data, omor some kind times I just dey wish say the competition plenty pass like this so that Dem go dey provide the best network  and cheap data rates😎. Actually Dem dey try but we expect more more from what they are getting from us.
764  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: NAIJA BOARD 2023 ART CONTEST 24th DEC --- 31st on: January 06, 2024, 05:38:59 PM
Congratulations to those who won the art contest, you deserved it, indeed your hardwork has paid off. I want to still use this opportunity to thank Mia Chloe for this contest, at least we need competitions like this once in a while here in our local board, thank you very much sir. I want to still those who participated but didn't have the opportunity to win the contest due to limited slots of winning. You guys tried, I must confess that most of your works looks great.

765  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Incredible Bitcoin stories to ginger our BItcoin accumulation on: January 06, 2024, 05:27:28 PM
E nor easy oo, I believe say any decisions wey we take now for ourselves so weda na good one or bad one e go surly affect us either positively or negatively. I no blame Laszlo for using that amount of Bitcoin take buy pizza, because only that deed sef naim help prove say Bitcoin na legit coin at that time. Nobody go like carry money go o buy fake something wey nor dey work, but apart from him, I believe say many other persons sef go don use huge amount of bitcoin take buy wattin no worth the amount of bitcoin. But if only say them see am as investment opportunity rather than just digital currency e for good well well.

I will suggest creating an avenue where cryptocurrencies and it's importance is being thoroughly emphasized on to these persons that doesn't know the importance of cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin precisely) and some other valuable coin.

I think now wey government don remove the ban from Bitcoin and other crypto some persons go use that opportunity take they do tutorial to make small cash from teaching people about crypto, how to trade etc, already we get some forex trainer for this country so Dem fit even add crypto join their scheme. Place like El Salvador wey Dem don dey use an as legal tender since, I believe them dey teach am to those wey nor know about am.
766  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Hand work and skill or well paid government employee on: January 06, 2024, 06:03:22 AM
Normally I no go fit see work wey dey pay me well say I go leave am for hand work oo, because wattin some hand work no go fit pay in 6 month naim some of those men dey receive in just 1 month, and the funny part na be say, many of them just dey work for 2 weeks for 1 month. The gap for the comparison too much, nobody dey say hand work no good oo, you fit dey do hand work while you still they find all those kind of works. But e dey very rear say you go see person wey be NNPC staff say na hand work e dey fine.

The poor naim supposed to even see hand work as good opportunity sef because money no go fly from heaven come meet you, I remember when I been wan learn how to do recoiling of pumping machine, fan, blender generator coil etc. na oghoaja naim I do take get money to pay for installment fee.  So I see how poor background fit hinder any body to learn hand work.
767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to check if an altcoin is a scam on: January 05, 2024, 07:04:18 PM
New altcoins are constantly being born in the market along with the number of scammers. Except there are some established altcoins in the market, almost maximum altcoins can be scams. I think no matter how much testing we do, we can never know for 100% whether an altcoin is a scam or not. We often take a lot of information about the team behind the project, experience, credibility, roadmap, media. These are the right ways to know if an altcoin is really a scam. I assumed that the altcoin was good, invested there, kept it for a long time but never saw the pump of that coin, it turned into a scam at some point. Where altcoin assurance is questionable, how do I know it's not a scam.

Thumb up bro. The truth is we cannot clearly identify all scam projects, some might look very obvious for us to identify by simple study and reading. While there are others that even your study won't point out the spots that makes it a scam project, just like what I said earlier, scammers are becoming very smart and they might want to make their coins pass through all the verification process to be considered as a reputable coin before they stike. However, we cannot tell for sure all the scam projects in the market. But I'm certain that there are the crypto network is filled with mixed multitude.
768  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin legendary or first class graduate on: January 05, 2024, 06:42:02 PM
Op I nor blame you for the comparison, based on wattin person dey see for this country, even though say no be only us they suffer for this unemployment matter, our own reasons Dem just look obviously stupid. Actually if we reason this matter well, we go see say, this kind of comparison no suppose to even dey. Normally we know say if you don dey hold Bitcoin for long, maybe since 2014 and you get some thousands or hundreds of Bitcoin for you portfolio you be big boy. And you fit leave well without any stress, but for the main world your reputation no go strong like when you get school certificate. Apart from just being a first class graduate, if you serious for school, you go dey very exposed to many ideas and innovative things wey money sef no go fit bring.

Just like wattin person been talk many of the richest men na business men and business women, but Dem go still agree with me say the education wey Dem receive still follow join wattin build their psychological reasoning wey make Dem go far.
769  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Date set for Nigerian new stablecoin cNGN launch on: January 05, 2024, 05:57:03 PM
Our country no go kill me, though I admire their vision and the effort wey Dem don dey put into this cryptocurrency matter, but I pray make Dem still see the need to continue, make e no go be like say as dem do reach here na there Dem go end, make Dem continue oo. But pegging the cNGN to naira with 1:1 naim be the wor wor part so. Stable coins no suppose dey volatile well well, but with the wey the Nigerian naira dey go with dollar, our stable coin fit go turn to regular altcoin oo 🤣😂 na only God go help us rise again oo, if not we go just dey play around.
770  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Abeg my country people make we no dy paint ourselves black for outside abeg on: January 05, 2024, 05:31:21 PM
Actually wattin you talk na true oo, we nor supposed to cast ourselves for outside like that. Even if say na true the guy been dey talk, at least that na why we get local board wey we go fit use take discuss our problem dem the wey we want. some persons no understand the work of house, house na primarily for protection, but for literal term our elders Dem say e dey cover many things, so that people for outside no go dey see everything wey you dey do. Anyway the bitterness why dey em heart naim e don pure so, but na for the wrong board. Wattin dey bad if e carry that thread come here make all of us shook mouth put? Some person na builders while some na destroyers.
771  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: My advice concerning the new trend (No gree for anybody) on: January 04, 2024, 08:33:49 PM
Lol, Tru Tru make we no gree for anybody oo, because life don pass that talk wey Dem say the patient dog eat the fattest bone. For this country now, if you say you wan dey do seme seme , you go just suffer Tay, except say you already get money. And just as the op talk, before you no gree for anybody make you sef no gree for yourself, because you self be be the reason why you never reach where you dey plan to  reach. Sometimes na our own lazy decision naim make us dey were we dey now. So make we shine our eyes, and sa no to some kinds of urge.
772  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bet9ja vs Forex on: January 04, 2024, 08:21:38 PM
Actually to speak the truth, the both of dem na just gambling, just that for forex trade e dey  reputable unlike normal bet9ja gambling. Wattin I mean be say, for the eye of any person, dem go tell you say you fit take forex trading as work. Yes I don see plenty person wey na forex trading Dem take dey feed themselves and family. Person wey dey do forex get good reputation pass person wey Dem know as gambler. So you fit bolding tell person say you be stock investor or forex trader than to say you gambler.
773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: January 04, 2024, 05:25:39 PM
However, when the mentally unstable person had no intention of disturbing the people who were also gambling at the casino, the officers also didn't mind. They just assumed he was among the many gamblers who wanted to gamble. The officer allowed the person to gamble, and I think before the officer allowed the person to enter the casino, the officer must have asked his superiors first. Perhaps that's why the officers allowed the person to continue gambling after he finished his activities, especially since all this time, the person only came to gamble and left the casino after he finished gambling. And it wasn't a threat to the casino because they didn't see anything suspicious about the person while he was gambling at the casino. But if the person looks suspicious and has different intentions than before, the officers will interrogate him and take him to another room or even remove him from the casino and will not allow the person to return to the casino.

I don't think you understand the profile of the person we are talking about. You might want to read the op again to be in the same plane with us all. Actually it was stated clearly at the op's that the mentally unstable person could be obviously identified due to the dirty cloths he wore, with his unkept hear and beard. However that description would only mean one thing when ever someone put on that kind of look, it means he is mentally unstable, meaning he goes nut most times or he doesn't think like a normal human being.
774  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] Utopia P2P - Official Android Review Campaign (Newbie - Legendary) 💎 on: January 04, 2024, 03:32:22 PM
Here is my review in pidgin( Nigeria general local language)

Utopia una too much, wattin dey burst my head pass na their AI wey you fit ask any question and e go deliver asap, as I register I come ask question na so the answer come immediately. Another tin wey Dem do wey I like well well na the security and privacy wey the site dey offer. Normally e dey easy for person to crack you password, but when we dey talk about seed phrase e dey very difficult for person to crack am. Their security na blast, if you be persons wey love anonymous tins, utopia is ok.

English translation

Utopia team has done a great job, what I like most about the application is that, they offer AI technology in which their users can ask any question and will immediately get response. Another feature of the android application that I like is the security and privacy the app offers. Normally it is easier for a hacker/scammer to crack your passwords, but when it comes to using advance security like seed phrase, the possibility you'll can be cracked is very minimal. I give their security a thumbs up. If you admire anonymity then, utopia is ok for you.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: January 04, 2024, 02:45:20 PM
Just as I said earlier, there is no way I will be comfortably walking into a casino hall with a mentally unstable person. If that happens, it psychologically means I have accepted that we are even. Since the person is mentally unstable, what are the odds that he might not be gambling irresponsibly, or stealing just to gamble. If I'm in the shoes of the attendant, I'll just quite letting the mentally unstable man to gamble. The major reason we where told to gamble only when we are above the age of 18 is because, at that stage of our lives we are now mature enough to know when to say yes and no without guidance or direction from anyone, and we are responsible for our actions. But in the case of the mentally unstable person, it seems the attendant was just taking advantage over him, because with that condition, he cannot fully make a responsible decision.
776  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is English language really necessary in our local board? on: January 04, 2024, 02:15:53 PM
I no see reason why, person go bring suggestions come for something wey dem don talk tire come make final decision join. I no go lie you even as I join the forum last year I don see post wey Dem don talk about this kind of matter for here, and the end result dey always be say, na the two language naim we go use. The other day na so person come out say make we make room for yoruba forgetting say other languages dey for this country. Our boss Dem don think tire before dem come to conclusion say na the two language we go use. Though e go dey good if we go fit do make na only we we dey understand ourselves by using only the pidgin. But make just follow the one wey dey since to avoid problem wey mouth no go fit explain.
777  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why some newbies dey quick lose interest for the forum?? on: January 04, 2024, 01:57:23 PM
Some newbie believe say working or contributing in the forum is something that is too hard and they don't give themselves the chance to get use to the forum instead they want everything fast without paying any price. It is only people who lack patience that sees the forum to be difficult place . But if you understand the forum their is nothing difficult to be here, the forum is place where people learn and it is expected that people will improve everyday.

Exactly, patient naim be the main Koko for anybody to grow for this forum. Dem say, the patient dog eat the fattest bone, though e get places for this life wey that phrase nor dey work oo, but for inside this forum,  you gats dey patient to succeed. Besides, for this forum na spoon feed Dem dey spoon feed us. For here naim Dem go still give you everything wey you need to use take study about wattin you want know about, and we nor dey even pay for directives or knowledge wey we dey get from other people, as you get freely na so you go share freely. After all minus crypto discussion sef we dey get very important information from topics like security, hack etc. so person wey no fit  relate for here, make try another wey of learning weda e go better pass this one wey we dey get for here.
778  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Your challenges when you were a newbie and how did go about it on: January 04, 2024, 01:39:37 PM
Actually the newbie stage na one of the stage wey come with ginger and high motivation. I remember when I first join this forum, my expectations been dey very high to try to rank up under 3 months based on say I been dey plan to make quality comments and post, and as I come start to dey read and do study about this crypto and Bitcoin matter, I come discover say the only wey to grow na when you pay attention to wattin dey happen around the market, news, and discussion from this forum. So the best wey to grow, na to do your own research. Nothing sweet reach when you discover something by yourself. To be honest some kind times the negative response wey I been dey get from some kind users been just dey do me like say make I quite, but I just take small break den come back again with full force. The newbie rank dey very boring because for that stage you never too under how things dey work for this forum, you fit go receive enough criticism from baba Dem.

The best wey out na to get patient and study really hard and make quality contribution.
779  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why does the halving increase the price? on: January 04, 2024, 12:51:25 PM
Let me tell you something, I remember back in the days when I was still in college and anytime they gave me an amount money for breakfast, I used to be happy because the amount can get me anything they sell in the school and I will be okay but guess what today, that same amount of money are giving to toddlers for breakfast and they will complain that is too little, it wouldn't do much for them and that is because the purchasing power of Fiat is dying every year. What you bough last 5 years for a $, you can't do that today, that applied to bitcoin, not saying we might not see bitcoin at those price again but with development coming so far in bitcoin, $40k will become a normal for people that have the means to buy and $7k might be a history.

When Bitcoin was traded around $3, many of us here didn't have the means to buy it then, many of use in 2009 would'nt look at bitcoin twice but it is because the nature and profit is appealing that is why they want it and people that have the means and want to buy are going to buy and they will sell when they have a significant profits.

Quote
- Why would people invest loads of money in BTC after the halving and not before?

Bitcoin bull run most of the time is after the halving, they don't want to be stuck when they aren't sure yet. The answer is simple, has believe that Bitcoin price grow in every four year circle and they know that miners wll anticipate for the price increased because they will most likely be operating at lost.

I love the way you used your college experience to explain the price movement of Bitcoin, any newbie would understand perfectly if he can relate well. For some weeks now, the price of Bitcoin has been wondering about in $42, $43. And this might even be the least we may see or experience this year, it's possible. Talking about the devalue of fiat currency, that is a continuous process especially in my country, our fiat currency get worse every now and then. The only way to escape is keep some of your savings in Bitcoin network.
780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a new trend of Altcoin Bull run? on: January 04, 2024, 12:30:57 PM
I never think about the trend, the trend is changing with time. Bitcoin is not a vanishing currency. Bitcoin still dominates the crypto market. All cryptocurrencies are based on Bitcoin. Altcoins will pump up following Bitcoin's price movements. As we have always seen, the value of alt coins tends to strengthen along with the increase in Bitcoin price. However, despite the increase in the price of Bitcoin this time, not all alt coins could wake up. Although the price of altcoins has started to rise slowly in recent times. I think this matter will return to normal situation in a very short time

I grab your u point, just like when the Bitcoin price hit $45k majority of the altcoins also followed that trend. Though this is not the first time this has been happening, but that just proves that there is just one master of them all and that is Bitcoin. What explains the whole following process completely is when the same Bitcoin had a correction after the little spike in price and altcoins also followed the trend. Trends can be caused by manipulating the market so we shouldn't be surprised if the market just experience a sharp movement.
