https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5v5y3icu6YYThis is pretty amazing. This guy somehow nailed it and is now 200% up at least. He somehow saw how the simplicity of Litecoin would be it's killer app. Im not sure if he is aware of segwit and he predicted how segwit would fail for Bitcoin and Litecoin had higher chances at getting it activated and moving a lot of capital there, but in any case, this man went all in and he's now making some killer gains. Yeah I think it is awesome that someone would sell their house for cryptocurrencies. This proves really their belief in cryptocurrencies. However personally I would have definitely sold my house if I had the opportunity to buy bitcoin instead of litecoin. Obviously though he has made a very good profit for himself. So he can't complain about the deal ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Right now litecoin is up big time, I would take the profits right now, or at least half of the litecoins sold for bitcoins.

Hi, is there any update about increasing the reward, it seems very low as for me. I might join this campaign after my current campaign which will be over on 27th of this April.
Yeah the rewards seem pretty low right now for any campaign. Hopefully the Pinkcoin team can increase the rewards substantially in the near future becasu ergiht now nobody will actually join it. There are so many other better signature and avatar campaigns out there.

As we all are aware that the price of bitcoin is drastically going down so can we called this a trading opportunity. What i was thinking is all the people who are currently holding bitcoin can convert it to any alt like maybe monero and let the price of bitcoin go more down and then buy when yiu think the price won't grow more.
Disclaimer: I would recommend only for those people to do who will get some sort of profit by selling their bitcoin if you purchased at a higher then i would recommend you to refrain from doing this.
Retrospectively thinking you are completely right. The price was certainly down by a lot, actually to around $800 even. That price sounds too good to be true right now. I wouldn't be surprised at all if bitcoin price is going to $2,000 or even more by the end of the year. People said bitcoin could never break $1,000 againn last year. I think this is again true, but the figure is $2,000.

Last year I focused on developing the bitcoin economy in Iceland, a country that is not friendly to bitcoin but could gain a lot from it's adoption. This year I am looking toward Africa. Last month's blockchain Africa conference in Johannesburg demonstrated a growing interest in bitcoin for the un-banked to do remittance and in person exchanges. I have not done much in Africa yet. I donate a bit to http://medicmobile.org/ . They develop medical apps for disease surveillance in Africa an other places. But I am considering going to Africa and meeting with business and government decision makers. I think I can make the case for bitcoin among everyday Africans. For example, many poor Africans already use a form of digital currency. They trade phone minutes for goods when shopping. What I could use help with is selecting a country and choosing who to meet with. If any of you are in Africa and/or have contacts in government/business, I would love to hear your thoughts and back your efforts to popularize bitcoin. I also plan on hiding another bitcoin geo-cache somewhere in Africa and maybe even hosting some kind of event. Please let me hear your ideas and observations on the topic of bitcoin's future in Africa. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I believe that bitcoin has a big future in developing countries. When countries have an economic problem, which is especially prone in underdevolped and developing countries, they seek alternatives. Nobody in the US is seeking alternatives because they have the comfort of having a stable currency, even though we know it'll burst anytime. Just look at Venezuela, when the economy crashes, everyone races to BTC. I believe that it's going to be something similar in Africa. Help the unbanked get a bank account in bitcoin.

Dear folks
I want to remove my data (profile, mail address, password, just everything) but I can't do that in the settings. I already sent a DM to theymos but never received an answer. I know that I didn't post something yet but I still want to remove my personal data. What can I do other than sending a message to theymos?
You can't. Just abandon it and if you want, delete all the posts where it is possible. It's notworth the hassle for theymos to personally delete all of your history, especially if you have something to cover up. And it's either you're on an alt account or that you are just a 1 activity newbie... Just register a new account.

I am thinking about exchanging directly to my paypal account which way would be the fafest and that has the least fees?
Well, if you have USDT you have to first exchange that to Bitcoin. And then once you have bitcoin, it's easy. Go onto paxful or localbitcoins and sell it there to a reputable member, make sure they pay in friends and family, but also make sure they have at least 1 year experience trading because if they have ever charged back it would have been within 180 days.

Announcement: We will withdraw support from February 21’s roundtable consensus, unless Adam Back gives us a reasonable explanation why he quietly changed his title from Blockstream President to Individual at the very last moment — without anybody noticed. We feel we’ve been cheated. I don’t know how we can trust Blockstream anymore in the future.
According to Mark Friedenbach, Blockstream developer: "Thankfully we at Blockstream are given the freedom to speak and act as individuals on this matter. Even Adam is attending as an individual, his signature not carrying the weight of representing Blockstream in this instance.I cautioned against going and was not in the room (I feel this meeting was antithetical to Bitcoin and no good outcomes were likely) so I only know second hand like you what was or was not said. But regarding the "consensus" document that was posted on medium, no I am not on board with that outcome." https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/46po4l/we_have_consensus_in_april_we_get_sw_3_months/d07gqic

How much was just dumped there?
6000 on flix in one go I am seeing. Probably a 20 000 BTC dump. I thought it was more like 12k on finex?

Are they not out of coins? Sold out long ago?
I think so, but they might be bluffing all along so I think they still have some left. I like the threads of kwukduck giving some precautions. That guy has wasted months of his life (in actual total time) making foolish predictions. What a thing to tell his grand kids.

One major flaw -> Willy bot. It wasn't adoption.

Bitfinex @ 321
Higher than Greece crisis.

Wasn't the Willybot so successful because it used funds for trading that were not really there? So pure manipulation?
Normal trading bots, backed by real bitcoins and money cannot do what Willy did. It will be punished by the other traders relentlessly
Exactly. I have my own bots! I am a developer. The point is, the Willy bot had no funds. It was all fake. That is what I am asking about these two exchanges.
