761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you were Satoshi Nakamoto, what would you do? on: February 05, 2024, 11:27:27 PM
If I were Satoshi Nakamoto, I would probably send the entire 1M BTC to charities around the world. I would not dare to appear and have my identity revealed for fear of endangering my life. Bitcoin has succeeded beyond all initial expectations  Grin
Then it would cause a major crash in the price of Bitcoin on the moment he executed the huge transaction to charity. Neither the charities, neither other investors would be benefited by Bitcoin anymore, as BTC's reputation would be completely destroyed from that moment on.

I have some questions for everyone: If you were Satoshi Nakamoto, what would you do?
Satoshi Nakamoto is right by acting the way he has been doing since the beginning. It's actually a good example on how every of us should act if we were on his shoes. If he wants his creation to work, he has to remain anonymous and outside of the cameras, otherwise Bitcoin would be heavily prejudiced and accused of being launched with the sole purpose of enriching its creator. Bitcoin works because there is an ideal behind it, which goes beyond wicked human's nature of being greedy and only acting on their own interest. Satoshi Nakamoto, on the other hand, looks loyal to what he believes and what he has created.

It must be a temptation to sell all his coins at anytime and conquer power and money immediately, but somehow he fights the wicked human's nature back, and remain noble to his initial purpose. I think the question is, would you be able to do the same, if you were him?
762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Supported by Larry Fink - big opportunity for Avalanche? on: February 05, 2024, 11:08:38 PM
It's not directly supported by Larry Fink but Blockchain revolution and tokenization of assets is, where Avalanche is having good partnerships already, like JP Morgan or Deloitte:
JPMorgan tests tokenized portfolios with Avalanche blockchain tech
Deloitte Partners With Ava Labs To Leverage Avalanche Blockchain
Then the title of your thread is misleading, and those who don't read the post entirely will be lead to misunderstanding. But I agree AVAX seems a promising altcoin, because it's being supported by some big players of the industry. It has a maximum cap of 720 million coins, and it's currently at 35$ price range, against a 135$ ATH in 2021. It looks realistic to assume AVAX can reach its previous ATH in the next bull run, as the distance isn't that long, what would proportinate investors potential profit around x4 over their investments made at this moment.

Also, news are 1 year old already, but seem worth to be mentioned, as Avalanche is partnered with Amazon:
Amazon Web Services Taps Avalanche to Help Bring Blockchain Technology to Enterprises, Governments

It's definitely a coin to keep an eye on. I really don't agree it's so innovative, unique or original, as some people might try to promote it, but I believe there is enough speculation and wealthy investors around it that it might worth for little fishes in the sea like us to take some advantage of the scenario to make profit through this coin, although it's advisable to still put only a minor percentage of your total portfolio in altcoins.
763  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: February 05, 2024, 10:27:33 PM
- Your interpretation could be improved considering that the price to sell FUN in some Exchanges can be 1 satoshi higher than in Freebitco.
Hmm, thanks for the information. In that case the current investment value would go up to 0.06331494BTC then.

0.10666132BTC - 0.06331494BTC= 0.04334638BTC

A 10% difference upside by adding 1 single satoshi to each FUN's price. It means that FUN doesn't need to skyrocket, but just have its price raised a little bit, so it will be already enough to make a considerable positive difference for the investment's outcome.

Checked it out myself but also had a similar problem. You can go to the buy/sell page but there is no price showing up and you get an error when you try to buy it. I don’t believe in a rugpull so it will just be a glitch that should be fixed quickly.
I've been reading complaints about it since yesterday at freebitco.in's official thread. Just checked myself right now and it's still not working yet. Let's wait for an official update from the platform, it must be nothing serious to be worried about. I remember other glitches/bugs were already been found in the past on the website, and even though they took some days to give an update to the community, everything was fixed later without any prejudices.
764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use profits from the crypto market? on: February 05, 2024, 04:21:17 PM
I want to hear from you:
  • Have you ever been profitable and taken profits in the crypto market?
  • How did you use that profit? Do you use that profit or reinvest it?
  • Do you think using profits is also important for your investment journey?
1. Yes, since I started dealing with cryptocurrencies I've been making consistent profit along the time. I'm not a trader, neither I've made profit from gambling when taking into consideration all the money I've already won and lost, so my profit comes mainly from tasks I execute online to be paid in crypto for my work. It's the best way to earn, because even though payrates aren't too high, at least it's a safe way to earn money on the internet, so it gives us the opportunity of saving and investing within time in order to grow this money.

2. I have been using my profit to invest in crypto market, to invest in real life businesses and on my education, besides also using profit made to pay for my basic expenses and once in a while for charity. To keep reinvesting is a great idea, because this way you make your money to work for you, rewarding larger and larger sums of money the more you reinvest. That is what I advice people doing, especially when they are young and full of energy to work.

3. Using profits in which way? To spend the profit made or to reinvest the profit? Both alternatives are important, because at same time you have to keep your investments sustainable on long run through new investments, you also have to enjoy the profit made somehow, otherwise it doesn't make sense to invest and work a lot to not get any satisfaction and pleasure in the end. Money exists to serve us, and not the opposite.
765  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Beware of Crypto.com (difficulties cancelling debit card) on: February 05, 2024, 04:08:34 PM
That's a significant amount. But has it already matured or surpassed the 6-month or 180-day lock-up period? That's basically one of the conditions of staked CRO to be withdrawn, right?
CRO was staked to maintain the card active. After those 24 hours, more or less, I was replied by their app's support through chat and they initiated the cancelling process. Just received a new message this morning confirming the card was finally cancelled, so I unstaked the CRO immediately and sold it.

After more than 1 month the request is finally solved!
766  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: February 05, 2024, 04:02:53 PM
This means that the only assurance of investors is that their money is in safe place but will
never make them millionaire even in how long , and people that investing in this should realized what
they are missing , instead of trying their chance here why not in more moving currencies that is are
in the top ranks.
Well, if the platform is reliable on long term, it's possible to make decent profit. If you are going to become a millionaire it will depend on how much you are willing to invest since the beginning. I don't think 1% monthly interest is a bad idea, although if we can take a lesson from this experiment it's to stick with the 12,500 FUN tier level, as it doesn't worth to go beyond that (at least so far).

Altcoins in general are risky investments (including the top ones), and the pros of investing in FUN isn't the token itself, but the raised daily interest it gives over Bitcoin's balance, which should be the main focus of every investors. When investing in FUN, we aren't aiming to accumulate more FUN, but more BTC through holding some FUN in order to boost our Bitcoin earnings.
767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Management on: February 05, 2024, 03:10:51 PM
I started to realize and change my habits. Now I use $$ from the profits from the previous bet to place the next bet and save my initial capital.

What do you think, is this good and can help me overcome losses that will occur so that $$ remains safe and can be used in future betting? Are there other unique ways that you can use to grow your money in gambling? feel free to comment. Thanks
You have to set a budget destined to gambling. This budget must represent a portion of your total income which won't prejudice your finances, and won't involve money to be used to pay daily expenses such as food and bills. Once you have defined the budget, you can spend the whole sum of money with gambling, that it won't have further negative consequences for you. So it's up to you to decide how you want to split this budget among different bets.

Some gamblers prefer to place more small bets, while others prefer to place few large bets. I can't say what is better or worse in this case, as it will depend on the personal preferences and strategies of each gambler. My only concern and advice is that you stick to the initial budget, never going beyond your limits. Respect this simple guideline, and you will be fine. However, don't expect to recover your losses on long term. Although you can be lucky to do so, most gamblers don't achieve loss recovery. Therefore, you shouldn't chase losses, because it's a risky deal in gambling universe, which can potentially increase your debt, what is quite the opposite of what you are looking for.
768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The scam of FAKE fixed matches on: February 05, 2024, 01:04:42 AM
This is one of the easiest scams to be executed, as little creative is needed from scammers, besides zero costs, therefore it's not a surprise they are so popular and are targeting lots of people who watch sports matches and want to make some easy and fast money.

Anyone can predict any matches' results as they wish and tell everyone else they had access to inside informations, so their predictions are accurate and guaranteed for that reason. If the predictions are made over minor leagues' matches, then the scam looks even more legit, because such leagues are well known for fixed results and inconsistent results.

In my opinion the best way to avoid being scammed is to avoid fixed matches. Don't try being clever to take advantage of a scam (the hypothetical fixed game itself), because you might be the one who will end being scammed after all...
769  Economy / Economics / Re: A course worth studying ? on: February 05, 2024, 12:02:14 AM
So, if you had the opportunity to advise people about courses to choose In University, what would it be and why?
I can't advise people about what courses to choose at university without knowing what they are predisposed to learn. People have to know what they enjoy, in which professional fields they would like to work in order to choose their careers. Many students finish high school without any clues about what to do next, so they just gave up on the idea of attending to a superior education institution, or engage in a determined university just because they were advised by their families to do so. And that is a big mistake, because after few years, they regret about their choices and realize it wasn't what they desired to do.

Every educational areas have their advantages, disadvantages and are demanded by society at some level. In my opinion, people should study what will make them proud and accomplished later. Wages are also important, but they can't be the only factor to take into consideration, otherwise the individual may earn a lot of money, but it won't mean anything in the end, since he will feel bothered, annoyed and stressed by working on something he hates.

In your case, it's a good thing you have chosen economics, as it's a very essential matter of everyone's daily lives. By being a specialist on this area, you will be ahead of most people in the world, and can potentially not only grow your personal patrimony, but also help other people in this process as well. Moreover, don't give too much attention to these coaches from internet's videos saying absurd things, like "you shouldn't study economics". These sensationalist sayings are just clickbait strategies for views.
770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not everyone deserves to hear of your winning in gambling. on: February 04, 2024, 11:20:04 PM
I'm not of the opinion you should be constantly meticulous about your words in order to not potentially harm someone around, especially when sharing personal achievements which were and are important for you, as this way you are expressing your happiness and emanating it around. It's wrong to be opressed to not express feelings anymore, being them good or bad emotions. If people around are going to get upset somehow, then it's their problem, not yours.

Of course, each case is unique, and you won't arrive to a burial laughing and joking, so use your reason and act accordingly to the present situation, but don't feel fearful of saying something, because you don't know how the reaction of the present people will be. Actually, people are too fearful about saying and expressing how they feel and their genuine personalities nowadays, which turns to be one big issue in our society, as people don't act naturally and authentically anymore. In the end people just get paranoid and artificial.

This is the same kind of mindset where people can't tell someone he or she is beautiful, because an ugly one who is present will feel offended. A gambler in loss has to be aware there are winning gamblers in the world, and there is nothing he can do about it besides accepting it's not his case. We can't have everything we want and things don't always turn to happen the way we want. To understand and accept it means to be mature to face reality.
771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another Two Category Of Gamblers That We Are Not Aware Of on: February 04, 2024, 06:41:32 PM
I didn't find any significant differences between both categories of gamblers, as both of them are addicted and display characteristics of being manipulative, low self-esteem individuals who have been losing money along their lives through gambling practice in a disfunctional way. Would the action gambler be a more energetic, active individual, while the escape gambler would be the passive, depressive one?

They are very similar, anyway, and I think the most important aspect when labelling them is to identify the trigger, the cause which drove them into addiction. The key differences I'm interested in investigating further is if such gamblers are driven by pleasure seeking, or if they are just escaping through gambling from an aversive reality they are facing, or from an aversive opinion about themselves, which would perfectly explain the low-esteem factor displayed as well.
772  Economy / Economics / Re: are we returning to stone age? on: February 04, 2024, 06:18:27 PM
Society isn't returning to Stone Age, because it's in constant technological development. On the other hand, we are indeed declining from the social and interpersonal perspectives due to the extreme differences appearing among people's traits, personalities, morals, values and points of view, besides an extreme emphasis on individualism, turning people into very selfish and egoistical beings, who only care about being satisfacted by the world around incessantly, without giving anything in counterpart.

Actually, at th current point we have reached, I consider we are in worst state than in Stone Age, because at least on those times people could work together, develop skills and have a good time with each other, while nowadays we see constant conflicts everywhere even inside families, couples, schools and between brothers, friends, colleagues, who were supposed to have a friendly and constructive relationship aiming the personal development of every parties involved, besides the positive effects these partnerships should have on the external environment.

That is how society evolved since the early days of Stone Age, but nowadays I have a strange perception about how things are doing, as something isn't doing right like it used to be... I try to find elements which could enlight me on this matter, and all found so far are these social aspects.

It's like life cycles, isn't it? Some say "hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times." We're certainly in a time of easy access to information, with technology at our fingertips.
The theory of cycles makes sense and I believe it could possibly be the right answer... There have already been better times in this world to live in, but also equally bad times and even worse times. The bright side of our age is the comfort and wide access to technology, although at same time it's also a cons, because not everyone is prepared to have access to it in a benefical way, as we see so much worthless and brainwashing content being developed and widely consumed by the masses full of excitement.

Accessible technology + uneducated masses + greedy, unscrupulous developers = inversion of values boosted and modern society's decay.
773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The "loaded slots" scam on: February 04, 2024, 05:32:41 PM
But surprisingly it's made a resurgence.
There's scammy ads and promotions all around. Someone claiming that if you pay them x amount of money, they'll give you some very secretive sets of information about what slot games to play and when, in order to get surewins.
Will they give you some secret informations regards which virtual slot machines to play? Well, if we were talking about land based casinos, it would make more sense, as physical machines are more prone to be frauded, since they don't have the provably fair mechanism enabled and each of them can be configured manually in different manners. There was even the belief depending the hour of the day some machines rewarded more than others, so there were gamblers analyzing which machines they should be playing at, depending the time of the day.

However, someone must be too naive to pay a random stranger on the internet who supposely promises to reveal secret informations about what slots they should play, since there are hundreds or thousands of players betting simultaneously at the same slots' games on the internet. In theory, everyone should be winning together at some moment of the day. And if they are talking about land based casinos, it's not a great scam scheme either, since it's hard to reach customers of a specific casino with their "hot" informations.
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your take on this Robert Kiyosaki's thought? on: February 04, 2024, 05:17:56 PM
what's the guarantee that once you've bought bitcoin you are 100% certain that you've made profit.
There are no guarantees, there are only possibilities. Let's take the current scenario, as an example. It looks a very good moment to purchase Bitcoin, because we are coming from a bearish season to a halving event, which is well known for boosting Bitcoin's price to new ATH levels. Even though it can't be considered a guarantee, I believe it indicates a strong bullish market is ready to start, so I go for it, full of confidence, expecting a decent profit margin between 2024 and 2025 by investing in Bitcoin. I can't foresee the future with certain, but I'm pretty sure this is the most likely scenario to take place soon.

In this crypto market, that is the best you can do, because if you keep waiting for guarantees, you are actually not going to invest at anytime soon, just like many people who have been always complaining they missed the train or that they can't buy Bitcoin now because it's already too expensive and they should have bought it earlier.

About Robert Kiyosaki's thought, he is correct by meaning long term investments are more interesting than selling your BTCs always you have an opportunity to make cheap profit on short run, as by doing this, you are risking to not be able to purchase Bitcoin once again for a cheaper or same price you sold it for.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investment in gambling on: February 04, 2024, 01:34:49 AM
You should be aware that Ponzi Schemes will lead you to losses on long run, even though you are being successful on this current endeavour. I believe you are fully excited by this, what will lead you to try repeating the dose once the current scheme crashes down. It's exactly like winning in gambling one: you feel invencible, and wants to keep multiplying your money, so you use your profits to gamble again and again, until you inevitably lose everything you achieved so far, as these aren't sustainable methods of making money.

Be careful to not get hooked on ponzi investments, otherwise they are going to drain all your money. I actually think they can be even worse than getting addicted to gambling, because you may start believing to be possible to analyze when it's safe to invest in a ponzi, although there are never guarantees. The sites can completely disappear at anytime, despite them not being matured yet sometimes. You can even be the first investor of the platform that it won't assure you are going to hit ROI before the pyramid comes crashing down.
776  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: February 04, 2024, 12:54:59 AM
I came to see some good results on the thread but it seems the OP has an invalid image. I think OP needs to repost the image and also show the updated information on profitability calculations.
Fixed the images, you can see them now. About my progress, investment is still going on intact, but I lost track of daily extra BTC income. Anyway, you can take the previous spreadsheets as estimative of how much you can expect to earn from this investment.

One thing is sure, everyone is making progress in the premium program launched by Freebitcoin. In comparison with other websites where you can stake FUN but you don't get those additional benefits along with the APY. I am grateful that I staked it on freebitcoin tbh.
Progress is still being made: slowly, but surely. Even with the crash in FUN price I was making nearly 1% profit monthly. However, I decided to cashout a portion of my BTC funds from the platform, so the daily extra BTC income has decreased from 0.00003260 to 0.00001853BTC.

To say the truth, as the experiment has been running for more than 1 year and we have already seen everything it has to offer, I would like to retreat to 12,500 FUN tier level, as it's the best cost-benefit package. However, I'm in a delicate situation, because FUN is too cheap, and by selling it I'm also going to lose a percentage of daily extra income over BTC balance. So, it's probably better to keep holding and locking FUN for some extra profit, for now.

By the last month I shared results here (08/04/2023 - 07/05/2023), ROI was at 18,7609%. Let's round up the following month to 20% ROI, and then consider 1% per month until January, what gives us 27% ROI.

Initial investment of 0.14611140BTC - 27% ROI = 0.10666132BTC

Current investment value of 487038 FUN x 12 satoshis = 0.05844456BTC

So, 0.10666132BTC - 0.05844456BTC = 0.04821676BTC

Value in red is what is left to be recovered to call it a tie.

You are free to share your opinions on what you would do if you were me in this case.
777  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 04, 2024, 12:09:16 AM
I got the consolation prize though:

It happened 3 days ago

and I was so happy to win this rare prize from the Wheel of Fortune! I really hope to win one the even more rare prizes on the WoF one day, like that Amazon Gift Card or iPhone or Rolex, why not? Smiley
Nice, congratulations for your winning! It has been a long time since I saw this prize for the last time... I'm also hoping to see someone winning the Gift Card, Rolex or iPhone from WoF anytime soon. I confess it would be the event of the year for freebitco.in's community, as everyone is excited for that.

Once again I used up all my wheel spins because price hit the weekly average and rose.  Its now just sitting at a ceiling so there is no decisive direction perceivable in BTC, its just a bit of a drift right now. Either we hit the rocks or take off, cant say which just yet so for monthly bet I have to wait really I think better info later.  The FED gave a no change decision and thats mostly how it's going just balance between buyers and sellers so not much room for movement in price it seems.   Staying this high is all bullish in the wider picture is my usual take but doesnt help me guess price end of this month etc.
I'm still saving mine and I really don't know when I should use my spins from now on, because it's not very likely BTC's price is going to fall into a point we could get 50 satoshis per spin anymore. But to think we are going to receive 50% less rewards from each spin (only 25 satoshis) is discouraging. At same time, the more spins we save, less rewards we are going to earn later, as Bitcoin price keeps rising. On the other hand, corrections in price are still possible, what would leverage WoF's rewards to 30-40 satoshis... That would be a good moment to use the spins, I suppose.
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What remarkable thing have you achieved with the money you won from gambling? on: February 03, 2024, 11:58:32 PM
I have never done anything remarkable with money made from gambling. I've just spent on trivial things, such as paying bills, paying for food, dinners... Anyway, since I'm already at loss when comparing my whole gambling's history, I think it's impossible for me to do anything remarkable with gambling money from now on. I confess I had some hope when I was in profit, so I thought I could have turned gambling into a side hustle to make income for future investments, but it ended that the idea didn't go well on practice, because as we know, the house always win on long run.

Only few lucky gamblers are able to make huge profit from gambling in order to achieve notable purchases from it, so they acquire mansions, luxurious cars and yachts, hire lots of employees such as drivers, bodyguards, cookers, maids, gardeners, start their own businesses, travel around the world, and live the life everyone has been always dreaming of.

Personally, what I would do if I were a lucky gambler to hit the jackpot, would be to purchase a large piece of land where I could build a legit medieval thematic empire for tourists to visit.
779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Psychology of Investing in Bitcoin on: February 03, 2024, 09:08:46 PM

And for a privacy supporter like me I just realized this recently that im more into Bitcoin because of its privacy and freedom, I don't like being controlled so I chose to be free with my finance with the help of Bitcoin.

Is this right? Because I see most people always talk about privacy, freedom and that's the main reason for them to choose bitcoin. But meanwhile, most people just talk about bitcoin's volatility and price on a daily basis. It doesn't stop there, the majority are using bitcoin as an investment and people are using centralized exchanges to buy and sell bitcoins. Most of us are here for profit, few of us are here for technology or privacy if bitcoin is not profitable. We don't need to deny our true purpose when choosing bitcoin.
I like to believe Bitcoin is profitable because it gives us the possibility of being over control of our own money when transacting it worldwide without frontiers and when storing it in our self-custody wallets, without intervention from regulators and governments. Bitcoin has become profitable due to its features and benefits to adopters, and not due to a temporary hype. It has come to stay and to improve our personal experiences when dealing with money in this digital world we live nowadays.

Profitability is a consequence of technology and privacy. So I think we should be thankful for every characteristics of Bitcoin, otherwise we wouldn't have access to the profit factor, after all.

That's right, bitcoin brings us many conveniences that no other currency has. But I mean, it would be a lie to say that we chose bitcoin because of the technology, because of the convenience it brings us, not because of the profit. Of course, we also need the privacy and anonymity that bitcoin offers, but profits are what we want more from bitcoin. And this life is very pragmatic and money is very important, everyone knows that and everyone needs it. So why don't we dare admit our main purpose when choosing bitcoin? That's not a shame. I am proud to be a bitcoin investor and to be able to make money from it, and that was my main purpose when I chose bitcoin .
Indeed, there isn't any problem in confessing opportunity of profit is the main reason which drived you to be a Bitcoin adopter. After all, we live in a capitalist world, where those who have better financial conditions achieve access to superior life quality. It's natural that we constantly seek for improving ourselves. And if it wasn't for Bitcoin, probably many of us wouldn't have access to alternative profitable investments and earnings opportunities in our local areas and communities.

Everyone wants to thrive in life, to be autonomous, respected and live safely. Thankfully Bitcoin is helping us to achieve it in a decentralized and ethical way, so we can thrive in life, without having to "sell our souls" or prejudicing and abusing other people in the process, which is, unfortunatelly, the case of many powerful men in the world who have become successful, but by the price of a lot of suffering, injustice and contradictions.
780  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: freebitco.in - is it even worth it? on: February 03, 2024, 03:44:52 AM
It is not and FUN token is worthless. Its price is going to lala land. Turned into a worhless and cheating site.
FUN price has nothing to do with freebitco.in. If FUN's price is falling it's simply due to supply and demand rule. The fact is that FUN's supply is just too high, and there isn't enough demand for it, therefore the price tends to remain stable or decrease along the time. However, you don't profit from FUN only by investing on it. In freebitco.in you earn extra daily interest on your BTC holdings by also holding FUN in your account. That is the best way to take advantage of this token, as you will be earning extra money in BTC, which is constantly gaining more value on long term.

However, it's only interesting for those who have a considerable sum of Bitcoin on their balances, otherwise they will only make cheap profit through WoF spins from the premium FUN program, besides some extra profit through locking FUN for determined periods of time, up to 25% APY by locking them for a whole year. Anyway, don't expect 25% liquid profit, as the price of the token may keep falling during the time they are locked...

What I mean is that the token isn't totally worthless. It's still profitable, depending the investor's bankroll size and for how long he is willing to invest.
