762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a source of income? on: May 03, 2017, 05:34:18 PM
Today many people rely on bitcoin, in the sense that they are now focusing on the world of cryptocurrency, leaving their jobs

Is there something like this, is there any special tips because i want to focus but not yet dare?

Bitcoin as a source of income was a good opportunity, but if you have a job at the present, don't stop or resign at once, try to start doing bitcoin as your additional source of income, then after months or what together if your position is also in high rank,I think that's the for you to decide if your going to leave your job or not.
763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What were your experiences with Bitcoin when you first started? on: May 03, 2017, 04:03:20 AM
I would like to know what experiences did you had when you first started with Bitcoins. As for me, I had many that I would like to share with you.

When I began in the Bitcoin world, I was a complete rookie with no proper knowledge of how did mining worked or anything about cryptocurrencies. I just thought about Bitcoin as another payment processor like PayPal. But when I joined the BitcoinTalk community, I learned so many things along the way. In my process of learning in the first days, I decided to invest into cloud mining services. Since I didn't knew much about it, I invested a plenty amount of Bitcoins to start my journey into it. During that time, I had gotten into many different services. Those were GAW Miners, then Cointellect, cloudminr.io and finally Hashnest. After getting scammed many times by the services mentioned previously, (except for Hashnest) I have lost many Bitcoins. As a result, I decided to never invest into cloud mining and thus dedicate myself into learning more about the cryptocurrency and look for other ways to earn Bitcoins. It was then that I enrolled into the signature campaign that I am currently into and during all that time I began to earn Bitcoins as well as diversify my investments into different alt coins. Now I am dedicated to trading Bitcoins and other alt coins, as well as working for it (like the signature campaign and working as a freelancer) in order to earn coins and build up my portfolio along the way.

Anyways, what would be your experiences with this exciting cryptocurrency?  Cheesy
When I was starting in bitcoin of course I don't know anything about it, I just only heard and read it most of the in a socials media, until one day I became curious about the Bitcoin. After I heard it, I search it in google what is really all about until I found that it is a digital payment online, then by it was the beginning of my journey on Bitcoin.
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: May 03, 2017, 03:48:22 AM
How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?
i'm just a newbie here, and I'm not thinking any about how does bitcoin die, well I guess it not gonna be happen at the price of bitcoin has now, No I don't think so. And the only chance of it, if the internet now will be destroy that's the starting point of downfall of bitcoin, but like what I said, its not possible if that happen.
765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan to accept Bitcoin as payment method. on: May 03, 2017, 03:33:53 AM
the first japan bill containing virtual currencies is expected to come on april which recognizes bitcoin as a method of payment.Although,it doesnot define bitcoin as a legal currency,it is still considered as a remarkable progress for bitcoin in japan.Hope, most of tourists who would go to japan to see 2020 olympics would be able to pay in bitcoins.

Wow! that's really cool if that happen in 2020 olympics, and it is also good news for the bitcoin enthusiast that bitcoin was now already form as legal currency in some places in Japan, sound good to me actually.

768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen to your BTC and Alts if you died today? on: May 01, 2017, 07:03:56 PM
I have accumulated some Bitcoin and other alts. Most of my holdings are in a single wallet yet I have a few on different platforms and one left on an exchange. I have tried to explain this to my spouse yet there is not a full understanding. If I died I am confident that all of this would not be recovered.

This weeks project is to write an encrypted note detailing where are the holdings are and how to access them. Even with access, the knowledge is not there to be able to convert the holdings to fiat if necessary.

What is your situation ?

*Edit* I have added "today" to the subject line of the post because we are all going to die.

Many people responded stating that if they knew they were going to die soon or when they are 60 etc.  they would.... You do not know when you are going to die! I had a serious accident not too long ago that almost killed me and I am not old, not even what I would call middle aged.

Many people also said they have hardware wallets, paper wallets ... Do you have backups outside of your home ?

                            My Solution
I have all of my seed phrases, 2fa restoration numbers and passwords saved in Google Drive. Google, although I hate them, will be around forever. I have saved this in the cloud because if my house were to burn down, everything would be lost. Now I am not confident in the security of Google Drive so it is in a folder that is encrypted with Cryptomator. This is an open source program that works with both Drive and Dropbox.I am also going to make a video showing how to restore the wallet using the seed phrase and also how to restore the 2fa to the google authenticate. Along with a detailed list on what coins I have and where they are located. This list I will update each time I purchase a new coin.

I have tried to explain this to my spouse yet there is not a full understanding. If I died I am confident that all of this would not be recovered.
- this is totally true, if any of your loved ones doesn't know everything about in bitcoin, all your accumulated bitcoin and altcoins will be stock only to their wallets. But if your loved ones knows the procedure to encash it there will be no problem at all for sure.
769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: May 01, 2017, 06:29:42 PM
Hey Guys,

what would be your opinion if there would been Bitcoin shops in big cities like London, Berlin or Paris (also smaller cities).
So you could go inside the shop and buy or sell Bitcoin for a good price.

I think it would be an good (and an advantage) idea because more people would use Bitcoin so the price would rise up and the people who are owning Bitcoins at the moment would have more money in Bitcoins. Wink

Best regards,

Patrick Smiley

In my perception, it will be an advantage for us a bitcoin users or fanatic, but there's a little bit disadvantage too, it should be  the area must have a strong internet connection due if not it will not be good for the shoppers if the delayed confirmation will happen of course shoppers will get mad also.
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: May 01, 2017, 06:04:53 PM
Hello everyone as the title says ^
Do you store your bitcoins online or on a wallet on your computer, perhaps cold storage?

My Bitcoin so far was in mycelium , and electrum wallet. Then I also have in the exchange sites such as bittrex, c-cex, novaexchange, and yobit but not that as high amount only enough for buying altcoin if there are coins in the platform will be dump.
771  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is real freedom in your view? Are you getting it? on: May 01, 2017, 05:04:16 PM
What really freedom is ? Every morning when your get up think once do you really have freedom? You may be tied up with your job, family, college, university, school, problems in life. Undecided Then think once what really freedom will be? No tension, no fear in mind. That's the life we life we want to live ,don't we ? And we can make it possible. Live every day like its your last day on earth.
What is real freedom in your view? Huh Undecided
Real freedom was you can anything you want whether it is good or bad something else like that.
But let us not abuse our freedom to do some bad things in life as much as we can we should use our real freedom into something that will become meaningful to others, I mean it will become make sense at all by doing good things to your neighbor.
772  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining Site on: May 01, 2017, 04:32:50 PM
All cloud mining websites are complete and utter CRAP. You will NEVER get any money you put into them back.
I think even how many times you guys always says this here in this thread, some community will still get unto it to invest in cloud mining sites, due to  there are individuals who are lazy enough that all they want is to invest only then wait for the profit. This is what I read in some thread I just don't know what section is that. But I believed that cloud mining was too risky and dangerous to invest in, therefore you must listen for what others said to avoid it.
773  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you manage ur emotions? on: May 01, 2017, 10:32:27 AM
Greetings!

While trading sometimes I drop back from my original plan. Such emotional decisions often bring loss cuz I tend to change orders on panic or when I mistakenly expect more potential income. How do you deal with that if you feel the same way?

Changing decision to your original plan was not a good idea, it will give only confusion and regret in the last.
Meaning, we must be at ease to our decision.

774  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Poloniex isn't the best place to trade alts on: May 01, 2017, 10:19:39 AM
Okay, so in last ~3 weeks, I've come back into crypto, facing some financial difficulties and putting all last financies into old and good btc. I've been using poloniex a lot and that's what I want to share with you. During this month I've been arbitraging and trading a little and got my coins stucked or lost or somewhat for 3 times on polo. The longest one was 4 days and 6 hours, when the system made coin withdrawal but no actual withdrawal happent. I've got my ticket answered only after 4 days. During this I've lost ~5-10% of value in btc of this alt and lost a huge amount of investment/trading oppotinuties I wanted to try. Even though my problem could be solved in 2 minutes with just giving coins back on the account. And after 2 days since resolving the last issue I got into another. Today I saw a 6% gap between trade price on bittrex and polo and wanted to use it. Bought coins, send on actual, working deposit polo wallet and... Nothing. Absolutely nothing happent. So for now it's over -35% of the initial price and will go even more for sure and it's only 13 hours. My ticket won't be solved until 2 of may when it would be delisted so high chance that I will lost everything. It is the most retarded situation - everything is fine in blockexplorer, they received everything, this can be finished in several clicks by polo, but they don't care. Just because of issue on the other side I'm loosing around 0.04 btc minimum.  I know it's not much, but for me it's pretty significant amount and all losses are only because of the technical issues from the exchange side.
Now I just hate my life and hate the poloniex for experiencing it. This experience even more devastating than cryptsy's was.
Bittrex is running much more alts markets. But they somehow can deal with them and most problems are solved in several hours. And tickets are answered after 6-12 hours.
But polo while making like 300-400k$ a day now can't hire enough support staff to deal with 600-700 tickets a day and run 20-30 wallets.
You will have to deal with 2-3-4 or even more days to get your tickets finally answered.

So, what I want to say to you - don't trade with alts of high volatility on poloniex - you'll suffer big losses. Avoid depositing not top alts there. They don't care about you. On the my message of like "Thanks for -30% poloniex" in chat after explaining my problem, I've received answer from moderator like "You are welcome." and then was  banned. They are making money and don't give a fuck about customers.
Thanks for your attention. Avoid dealing with polo in non top 5-10 alts, or you are risking to lose a lot of time and nerves.
I think this is bad for the Poloniex, someone is not satisfy to their services, this first time happen I hope this will get affect by the poloniex because of this concern.
775  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some trading videos you shouldn't miss! on: May 01, 2017, 09:42:06 AM
Good morning everyone!

I started making some videos on some trading tools. Things I found many of the advisors are missing, like simple shortcuts to speed up workflows. So far the response has been overly positive. I hope you enjoy these too!

Tools I Use to Trade on Poloniex

https://youtu.be/9U5kSM7WwHc

In this video I describe which tools I use to make my trades on Poloniex.

We discuss:

How to choose coins for day trading and swing trading
Do some (basic) technical analysis
When it's best to get in on trades?
When to get out of those trades
How to maximize profits
How to minimize losses with stop-loss orders

This is basically starting point for the newbie like me before I proceed to the actual trade. Very technical, it has skills development too, and how to control our emotion during actual trading, then the right timing to do it. Wink
776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: May 01, 2017, 08:17:27 AM
I have think of it and i have save up bitcoin just a the small amount because i have plans for it to have fun like travelling didn't even save it for future purpose. so i wanted to know what are you going to do with your bitcoin if you save bitcoin. Why do you save bitcoin for? and why? what is the purpose why you save up bitcoin to your wallet and not to spend it.

It is really important for us to save for the future, especially bitcoin has a brighter future so if we save bitcoin
there is surely a big reward awaiting for us because of the volatility it has.
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If BTC gets a Dump on: May 01, 2017, 07:13:22 AM
What will happen to all the altcoin if Bitcoin experiences a big dump? For example lets say BTC price goes under $500 or even $200, how it will affect the prices of altcoin? Will one or two top crypto currencies at marketcap like Ethereum, Litecoin or Dash will take over and become the number one crypto currency and have higher value than bitcoin? Or do all the altcoin also fall with bitcoin?

Your question is too impossible to be happen it maybe drop the price value but not the price you are talking about in between 500$ or 200$, And if ever that happens it maybe also that some of the altcoin will increase again while bitcoin is dropping down the value but doesn't they can over take the price of bitcoin and can replace the position of bitcoin.
778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: April 30, 2017, 06:51:54 PM
I have been seeing Bitcoins' price rising with a stability in its growth, but due to the higher mining fee that is being levied on transactions these days, big businesses are now moving their funds towards alts and taking advantage with their least fees as well as shaping a completely new economy in the trends of altcoin markets. Do you think this may harm Bitcoin's dignity and open up a chance in real for alts to rise?

I doubt that there is alts have chances against Bitcoin. If you are going to look at the value of bitcoin into altcoins there is a big difference.. So how come that is happen, maybe in their dreams only but not in reality.
779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin 20 Years From Now on: April 30, 2017, 06:21:45 PM
We are now experiencing the efficient, fast and amazing convergence of technologies which one way or the other greatly contributing to the rise of the cryptocurrencies and making Bitcoin as the King of the Hill so far.

Looking into the future...what do you think will be the scenario involving Bitcoin twenty years from now? Will Bitcoin be worth more than a million or will it ceased to exist? Or will a new crytocurrency replace the supremacy of Bitcoin...?

I don't know actually, what could it be after 20 years from now. But, I think more merchants will rise up and accept bitcoin while other business company can be that they adopt the system of bitcoin. Or it maybe by that bitcoin is the world currency in the entire world.
who knows that might gonna be happen by that year.

For what I'm gonna do to my bitcoin is I will save some of it for the future of course. Then, some of it too, I will use it to sustain all my expenses for the whole week budget. Therefore, I will hold it in a long term basis.
