Maybe it's an age thing yeah. I've seen kids just watch videos and livestreams for hours. Watching, not even participating. And then apparently people actually tip these guys after spending hours watching them. My life is too short to just watch something that doesn't give me any value but hey everybody has their own thing right? If it brings money in, why not. Totally get it.

Are you a gamer yourself?

I was, yes, but probably not as much as most people! I played a lot of multiplayer games with people but with always to make sure there was a lot of story. Sometimes I played just to see the story, entertaining and I preferred to go out and play sports mainly though. Of course I hope no one took offence with my comments. IT's still better than going out and making mischief!
7622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: February 06, 2020, 05:35:22 PM
I think that tonight it is a good opportunity for us gamblers to make some money with the Copa del Rey games. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona are playing in the quarter finals and if we combine both teams to win we get an odd above three.I think this bet can be a win.

Not good enough odds actually for me but yeah, I am still betting on Barca (almost 2x). Both big giants scored big in their last 2 games so obviously now it's this close to the finals they'll both want to play their best, definitely worth betting on Barca, Real should have better odds but maybe people betting against them a lot.

It would be a cool final to have too for El Clasico!

Ansu Fati brace!
7623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun had a dinner with Warren Buffet! on: February 06, 2020, 05:01:24 PM
At least Buffett doesn't seem like the idiot everyone keeps insisting he is. He had dinner/lunch with all these guys and he's 89 and can still have a sensible conversation. I don't love guys like him but I don't just hate on him for all his dislike of BTC. Thanks for sharing! Wish it was someone else rather than Justin Sun though!
7624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using Crypto at Gas Stations on: February 06, 2020, 03:52:33 PM
So crazy to think about Bitcoin at petrol stations when I haven't even seen Bitcoin at online merchants in where I come from;)

But I think like others, probably not a wise idea unless you have a fixed petrol price and not floating like most countries do.

Imagine petrol and Bitcoin both pretty volatile on a day to day basis and trying to come to settlement;)
7625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think ETH will hit all Time high(ATH)? on: February 05, 2020, 09:01:34 AM
Miners were dumping ETH too much POS is a sign of ETH  growth, less energy this time many will like to hold as expenses won't be much to finance masternodes and probably raspberrypi. I strongly believe ETH2.0 will let me win the bet. Keeping my Faith even stronger.

I don't get it. Too much POS is a sign of ETH growth? I think the problem always was that it was "too easy" to mine, and that's kind of why they moved to POS right, and among other reasons I think they just felt that the supply was a huge problem and we all know ETH is held mainly in the hands of the few. ETH 2.0 is finally getting traction so I too have hope for the ones I bought at $400;)
7626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this Right Time to buy Some ALT coins? on: February 05, 2020, 07:41:31 AM
I think there is never a bad time to buy any altcoins, but in this case should be good coins not those flocking around with no value. In addition, the choice or decision towards buying any altcoins should be in what the person really wants and expects. Study the team to know if they have concrete plans as well as the exchange the coin is listed on.

That's an attitude that'll get you killed my friend;)

I can personally say that as a guy who bought into some alts at what I THOUGHT was a good buy. For example XRP at $1, which was less than 30% of the ATH. And I also even got into something called Elastic also at 50% of ATH.

I actually timed my purchases of alts thinking I bought at the dip.

Guess what. Look up where Elastic and Ripple are today.
7627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A clue on how to make them see that bitcoin isn't a scam on: February 05, 2020, 07:07:23 AM
My thoughts exactly!
I'd rather spend my time building my riches with cryptocurrency than spend time explaining to them what Bitcoin is. It's hard to convince people who don't have a real interest at first, they will only find faults on what you do. Let cryptocurrency speak to them when you bought a car, house or something valuable as they'll probably ask you where did you get the money to spend on things like this. I've learned about Bitcoin through a friend but it is not some spoonfeeding that took place. He did not explain how Bitcoin works, I guess everyday exposure help me learn something about it.

I don't know about building riches with crypto. I'd rather just use Bitcoin on my own and if people ask me about I'll tell them I use it. If they ask me if it's a scam, I'll tell them I don't think it is, and I know for sure it's not possible to be a scam and if they want to know more and seem curious I'll talk a little but my advice always is to tell them to go online look up bitcoin.org and if they want to know more ask me.

No comments on esports. I'm glad a few people love the idea but I'm absolutely out of it. I tried watching it too, can't really understand why I didn't like it. I love games but watching others play is a bit unsatisfying for me:)
Exactly same feelings. I have no idea about esports. I like to play some games myself, but watching how other people play, I don't know, it's not for me. It's just not interesting for me. Well, maybe I'm too old for it.
But I understand that demand for esports lines is big and it's good that people will be able to bet on it on Freebitco.in.

Maybe it's an age thing yeah. I've seen kids just watch videos and livestreams for hours. Watching, not even participating. 7629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run or Bull Trap on: February 04, 2020, 09:24:43 AM

The support however rounds to $8,900 - $9,300.

That's a great support so no wonder we are still staying at $9,000+ now.
It's been quite for awhile, there's a small correction but it wasn't strong enough to bring the price below $9,000 so it's high time to expect a new run.
Bitcion as the halving is approaching might be bullish most of the time and those who believe on the hype are holding in a good price now which they are up already 30-40% when buying at $7k.

Well the analysts have been asking for several days now to stay above 9k and it will almost be a week I guess, so does the extra days of staying above it without moving up mean something good for btc?

I notice also some alts have moved up a few more levels ahead of bitcoin. People will soon be whispering alt season:P
7630  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.me - Crypto Casino 🎰 Now Accepting EOS | Roll Hunt | Bonuses on: February 04, 2020, 07:56:40 AM
fightemhard is seriously doing it hard with those numbers. My brain can't even process 1 BTC wagering in a day, let alone 34++;)

Can't actually imagine the kind of numbers we'll get once the wager comps start kicking off. And with the markets consolidating now, seems a good idea to cash in.
7631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [TRX DApps] Gambling platform is looking for first users (testers) on: February 04, 2020, 07:23:07 AM
Hello! If it's not too late to apply, I'd like to try. I don't actually own TRON though, just a little that I'd prefer to just keep staking (For my winks and my btt even though they only give me a few cents).

I actually never tried these TRON dapps but hey, time to learn. If the gambling's fun, anyway.
7632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is libra (from facebook) will be a good invest ? on: February 03, 2020, 11:03:34 AM
I hope they will comeback soon enough when they realize Libra may actually still work, the other possibility scares me. Think about it, one company is trying to build a stablecoin and the government is against it, and this is a company that is as big as Facebook yet they are not letting it be, meanwhile people are using USDT or USDC or whatever like nothing is going on.

You have to remember that Facebook made a lot of people angry in the US when they practically stole people's data and sold it to make money, and some people still blame them for making the elections happen the way it did (even though I think Trump would have won anyway).

I think everyone should be working hard to stop corporate powers from being even more powerful so Libra getting killed should be good news for us all.
7633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: February 03, 2020, 09:17:34 AM
Barca won against Levante 2:1. Nothing special, just 3 points and move on. I'm happy for Fati who had great match tonight. But I'm disappointed that Barca didn't signed any forward during transfer window. Lack of Suarez is clearly visible even against teams like Levante. And during last 30 minutes we gave too much control for Levante.

Agreed. I put a lot of money because I was hoping the club would feel like I do, that this was a must-win game. Good that our kid had a great match, it's a reminder of what he can do, like winning us that last CL game against Inter all by himself;)

But I think more than a forward we just need a bit more discipline and hunger in the game. Some players definitely look jaded to me.
7634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: February 03, 2020, 07:14:19 AM
Maybe he just exaggerated in that aspect wherein he pointed out the time he learned about Bitcoin. Going back to Bitcoin's profitability, it is a good source of income but it cannit be the main source of income to MOST of the people. There are people who primarily get their income in crypto but since there are changes with regards to the market value movement, it is only good as a sidejob and not a primary job, in my opinion. I do also earn profit from campaigns and sometimes, trading.

Or maybe TimTheYoutuber is still a kid? If he learnt about it five years ago and he was a kid, he's at oldest 21 now, which is still a kid in most places I know;)

But joking aside, I think we should always look at bitcoin as something useful for sure but never about money and profitability (even though that will come with price going up slowly). I think people who think about profit first tend to lose their btc.
7635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if you have 1 btc what would be the coin that you buy and hold ? on: February 02, 2020, 01:43:09 PM
The  best thing now is to hold on to your BTC, most people that converted their BTC to Altcoins end up losing out. Just look at the performance of BTC relative to Altcoins is can see it as out performed most of them and this can be seen in the BTC dominant and this is my I feel would happended, BTC dominance is going to 80% soon because we have seen that most of these ALtcoins are going to zero

Best thing to do now and any time. I do agree that if the market was at a low point, like 3k in 2019 last year, then may be it would be good to put 10 or 20% into some really struggling big alt like LTC or ETH, since those tend to recover 100% faster than BTC. But as soon as they do, put it all back in BTC. Always!
I really think that is the reason most altcoins are still alive today, in the past many thought that an altcoin could take the place of bitcoin and replace it, but now I doubt anyone thinks like that anymore, they only invest in those altcoins because they are expecting that the coin goes up in value against bitcoin and then they sell and get more fiat or bitcoin in return, and since this has been an effective tactic for years then most people keep doing this in the hopes of getting more bitcoin.

Of course that's the reason, there's really no other explanation for it. And no, actually even in the past, no one REALLY thought altcoins would take over bitcoin. That was just the propaganda developers used to make people fall for the hype. Even the ETH guys who said flippening were just marketers and not actual ETH devs themselves.
7636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to survive if you lose more than 80% of your Capital? on: February 02, 2020, 01:10:10 PM
Some just need to take a chill pill.
Panics usually happens due to massive plunge of the price, or even when the market crashes. Looking at that plunge of Bitcoin from 7k to 4k, I was about to panic actually but turns out when I checked the Wikipedia about the price of Bitcoin throughout the years, it went the same thing while it was still in 3 digits and now look where we are.

Hard to take a chill pill when people lose money they CAN'T afford to lose;) That's when the real panic happens actually. Because if I'm putting in a bit of money that if I lose I don't feel anything, doesn't matter if it disappears, because I consider it lost. But the problem is people putting money in BELIEVING it will return them a lot of profit.
7637  Economy / Speculation / Re: corona virus & bitcoin market on: February 02, 2020, 11:59:31 AM
It has nothing to do, because I only know that the rise in the price of bitcoin occurred even before the corona virus spread and circulated in the news media in every country. If indeed it is related, at least the corona virus has become a serious problem before the rise in the price of bitcoin occurs, that is a simple thought because in reality every bitcoin price goes up and also goes down, there will be many people who associate global problems with the crypto market, because I think it has absolutely nothing to do.

Actually for me it's not even corona virus. I think every time the price crashes or springs up, people immediately put a reason to it... and it's usually so completely silly. I mean the flu virus hits Europe and kills hundreds of people at the same time. Yes guys this is a flu, just mutated. Just cause it's China everyone makes it such a fuss.
7638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: February 02, 2020, 11:16:05 AM
I don't like throwing in everything so early, but if Barca don't win this today, then we should prepare to see the trophy get in the hands of Sergio Ramos end of the season. I really thought Atletico might win or at least draw but Benzema had other thoughts.

I went with emotion and put a lot of money into the game tonight as well!
7639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: February 01, 2020, 11:03:39 AM
Don't support anyone but today I'll hope for Atletico to somehow overcome an inform Real. They actually have a pretty impressive track record compared to anyone else outside the top 2 for the past 2 seasons, so I'm counting on them to help peg back the current league leaders! @toma you really think Barca will drop out in the next Copa round?
7640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in football on: February 01, 2020, 09:43:22 AM
some yes but some didnt  .they are only being paid to advertise btc on thier shirt or on the field banners  . like for example the fc watford , the one that we saw on sportsbet  . they are sponsored by sportsbet if im not mistaken  . there are many companies use bitcoin and they are willing to pay others just to carry those crypto names under thier names  . btc and crypto were already known on this forum but some take it on the next level and spread the word outside the web  .

Yes, Watford is sponsored by Sportsbet, that's a shirt sponsor. The bitcoin logo is actually not a sponsor at all, but sportsbet's decision to just promote the logo for free. Actually they could have put something else there but the didn't. Pretty cool of them to do so, don't you think? Wolves have Coindeal but that's just an exchange and they have no forum presence here.
