7661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: August 29, 2021, 08:24:59 PM
I think with all the sponsors he will be getting he may be making well over a million dollars along with the guaranteed fees and it will be the biggest payday in his career and i am sure if Tyron Woodley looses against Jake Paul he will call out his brother Logan Paul .

This is what I do not understand? Tyron was a world champion in UFC and everyone is saying that he will make more money in this fight than his entire career. How is that true?

The short answer? Dana White. The UFC is a cash printing machine that chews up fighters and spits them out. Occasionally they’ll prop up a Connor or Ronda to get the hype going, but a majority of UFC fighters aren’t making enough money to live on from their fighting alone. Meanwhile the UFC and it’s owners get to be on top of the world. These are the types of things that won’t last. Fighters are already doing their own thing and proving they don’t need the UFC.

I saw my first counterfeit vaccination card yesterday. It was as far as I could tell indistinguishable from a legitimate card. They told me they paid $100 for it and are now able to return to work without the forced vaccination. I think this will become commonplace as the government tries to enforce the unenforceable. As the saying goes, the more you tighten your grip, the more sand will flow out through your fingers.

Oh wow $100 is quite a lot for a fake card. Kind of interesting how many people are going to buy such a card. In the end the vaccine is free, so why bother spending $100? Also what kind of fine do we have to pay if we get caught with the card? I am always a bit afraid that I would get caught with such illegal things.

Maybe I should have described it better. It was indistinguishable from a legitimate card because it was a real card with real dated signatures. What made it counterfeit was that no vaccine was ever given. Maybe counterfeit isn’t the right word? I’d be happy to edit it if someone has a better descriptor. Definitely not something you could get for $0.60.
7663  Economy / Services / Re: I would like to make a sports betting bot for stake.com is it possible ? on: August 29, 2021, 07:10:28 AM
Is it possible ?
Any programer here who can help me ? And thank you

Sure it’s possible. If you can do it, a bot can do it. The questions are how much time and energy would it take and how much would it cost you to hire someone to do it. If you’re serious, you should post a job offering in a different section that developers might read or a site that caters to software development.
7664  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I saw my first counterfeit Covid vaccination card yesterday… on: August 29, 2021, 06:53:37 AM
but now im not surprised you have friends willing to pay $100 for a business card that has no value beyond $0.60(£0.40)

I can’t speak for the UK, nor did I say anything about a “friend” but don’t let me stop you from making wild assumptions to cast insults to those who don’t share your fear. They were glad to be able to get back to work and an hour of salary was a small price to pay to make that happen.

Now, the point of this thread is that government is attempting a level of control that is impossible to achieve and vaccine card requirements aren’t a magic bullet. You seemed to agree with that so I’ll just take your snide comments as you having something else going on in your life causing you to spread negativity when it isn’t appropriate.

Ya, imagine someone wanting to earn a living to provide for their children without having to inject themselves with experimental vaccines for the flu every 6 months. Definitely cause to call them names.

Just know these cards are out there, easy to get, cheap, and will keep you from being banned from employment or being in public. If you’re scared of catching the flu, you probably shouldn’t leave your house.

There is a rumor that Rajon Rondo will become a free agent because he has agreed to a contract buyout with the Grizzlies. It seems that he will return to Los Angeles, considering that the Lakers are going to sign a contract with him on Monday. On the one hand, it's good news for Rondo, and on the other hand, it's probably bad news for Isaiah Thomas. Cheesy

I just read that and was going to comment. I’ve never really like Rondo’s style of play but he’s become a better shooter in his old age. If they can grab him to be a backup for the playoffs at the veteran minimum then I think the Lakers should do it. Anything above the minimum and I’d pass.

I’m also glad they won’t be bringing back Gasol. Thinking he could replace Howard was a foolish mistake I’m glad they rectified.
7668  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 28, 2021, 08:33:37 PM
Bitcoin has nearly doubled now since July 19th.  I don't think the strength of this "recovery" can be overstated.  When you look at a 3-month chart it is blatantly obvious that the Bulls have been in control lately and have quite a bit of momentum.  Sure, every market needs cooling down periods, but this looks more to me like the start of the bubble.  We're basically in the same spot as when BTC was at $4,000 in 2017.  Even though I strongly believe we'll see a x3 rally in the next 3 months, I will still be shocked at it's sheer power when it happens.
7669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 28, 2021, 07:09:42 PM
The Cavs said they’d buy out Kevin Love’s contract and send him to the Lakers to win another championship with LeBron James. Kevin Love basically said thanks but no thanks. Which is a little odd since he was tanking last season… Still, it looks like he’d rather lose and hurt his team then lose his $60 million dollars. Can’t say I blame him.
7670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 27, 2021, 06:52:21 PM
NBA rumors I’m seeing today… Kevin Love may be a possible buyout candidate and if so the Lakers would be a strong suitor for LeBron’s ex teammate. I’m also hearing that the Bulls are looking to sign DeMarcus Cousins to a deal. They’ve been making some good offseason moves and I think that team might make some waves this coming season.
7671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 27, 2021, 06:12:39 AM
Dudley seems a little bummed about not getting another run with the Lakers as a player. I did hear that he’s close to signing a contract with the Dallas Mavericks to be an assistant coach of some sort. I think that’s probably a better role for him, but I was surprised to read quotes from him talking about how the Lakers were making a mistake not resigning him as a player… I think he was probably kidding.
7672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will bitcoin end ? on: August 27, 2021, 06:09:18 AM
The market they are trying to take aim at now with the, “Bitcoin is digital real estate” nonsense is the global real estate market. If Bitcoin were to carry such a value, it would be worth around $10,000,000 per coin at current real estate valuations. I find it unlikely that this will happen, but I’d say that is a pretty good estimate of how high it could possibly go.
7673  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 27, 2021, 05:57:48 AM
Looks like we’re about to bounce off the trend line. If things continue as they are, I could see hitting new highs in early October. Certainly that would be the beginning of a run to a blow off top sometime in early December. That is if you believe in fractals or stock to flow ratios.
7674  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: So, i bought a BTC atm (machine) on: August 27, 2021, 05:18:19 AM
At least the machine looks cool. Even if it isn’t usable you can still enjoy it as an art piece of sorts. Maybe try and turn it into an arcade machine for your house or something. I’ve seen worse things sitting in people’s mancaves.  Smiley
7675  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are humans not changing naturally? on: August 27, 2021, 05:11:52 AM
The Netflix documentary Unnatural Selection was pretty crazy talking about and even showing people trying to “hack” their own bodies to do things it wouldn’t do on it’s own. The scariest part is the documentary is a couple of years old. I was shocked at how easily it was shown to be to obtain things that in essence altered your DNA.
7676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 26, 2021, 08:27:47 PM

weeeeeeeeee pumping downnnnn? lol

Looks like the bears are feeling confident enough to start placing shorts again. The bear trap is set and the prey is in sight. I think it’s about time for another squeeze to teach people why exchanges offer the option of trading with leverage. Like I told my buddy yesterday, if you think the price of Bitcoin is going down, zoom out on the chart. We’re about to have a 100 day run they’ll be studying about for decades to come. Buckle up.
7677  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden devolved on: August 26, 2021, 06:36:22 PM
With the recent loss of American life in Kabul as a result of Joe Biden’s “leadership” I honestly think he should consider stepping down. His pullout was stupid, everyone knew it was stupid, and Americans died. This is the sort of act of incompetence that should find him in a jail cell, not the White House. I honestly think Joe Biden is the worst President America ever had, and I fear the amount of damage he’s going to be able to do while in office.
7678  Economy / Speculation / Re: People are panic buying right now! on: August 25, 2021, 07:36:38 PM
I’m not feeling the FOMO yet. There’s still plenty of bears out there and we’re likely still 2-3 months away from an ETF approval. Wait until Halloween if you want to see what FOMO looks like. You’ll be reading about people mortgaging their house and taking out private loans to buy Bitcoin. I think we’ll see a >$10,000 gain in a single day before this is all over.
7679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch introduces restrictions on gambling-related links - deadline 17 Aug on: August 25, 2021, 07:12:46 PM
Those gambling streams are pretty ridiculous. The streamers are usually open about the fact they’re being paid to gamble with house money and nobody should be so reckless with their own money. Still, you know there’s kids out there bankrupting their families trying to win big so they can be the next big twitch streamer. I guess it’s a better use of money then donating to the girls licking microphones on twitch.
7680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: August 25, 2021, 07:10:17 PM
I’m not even sure who I think will win. I feel like Jake Paul might lose this one, even though Dana White was pretty clear that Woolley is past his prime and unable to win in the fighting sport he’s a professional in. I don’t think Jake has ever faced such an opponent and I think he’ll be surprised how tough he is. Still, I’d love to see him win so the shit show can continue.
