7681  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BitBlender Signature Campaign | Up to 0.0003BTC/Post | Member - Legendary on: May 21, 2019, 04:16:37 AM

Very early as always Cheesy
Let's hope this campaign will run for 1000 weeks or more.

Interesting data from tranthidung. So the longer this campaign gets, the more post made in each week and respectively the higher BTC paid in each week. Badass.
7682  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-15] Crytopia Opts for Liquidation Binance for Upgrade on: May 21, 2019, 04:03:42 AM
Not using exchanges is not a solution as many altcoins are listed on exchanges like binance etc. and if anytime you need to exchange these altcoins for bitcoins/ETH or even you need to convert it to fiat, you can't do that through any hardware wallet. You need to pass through these exchanges and that's why we actually have no options than to immediately liquidate it via exchanges and then transfer them to our banks. Exchanges too take 1-2 days to transfer.

There is another solution(s), such as using DEX like Bisq or atomic swap, though not a lot of people prefer doing that way. You also miss important points from figment post that essentially said use exchange like an exchange, not a wallet.

So many people are storing their crypto in exchanges and never withdraw it due to various reasons, and that's why when the exchange got hacked they're rekt af. Sadly most of us learned the hard way, and that's why I believe case like Cryptopia or any other exchange won't stop unless customer also realizes their own responsibility.
7683  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-19]Bahamas to Regulate Cryptocurrency and Token Sale on: May 21, 2019, 03:39:48 AM
They are just following the footsteps of other successful island countries out there and I think the rest of the countries who barely have any economical risk should also follow.

Not should, but would I think. This is their biggest chance to take part in one of the most interesting markets in this decade before the bigger countries eat all of their opportunity. As long as they make sure scammers can't register and claims that they're legit easily, I think we should support those countries.

Pretty sure there will be a lot of ICOs or IEOs that would love to have clear legal standing in other countries if they can't do it on their home, but the question is how to filter the good from the scam one. Not only that, another problem in the crypto market is the quick profit mindset that is so hard to remove, which makes fundamental values tend to get plundered with price and exchange talks.
7684  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-19]Blockchain to Combat Modern Slavery in Supply Chains on: May 21, 2019, 02:50:47 AM
For instance, there are a lot of middlemen involved in the cobalt supply chain, these middlemen purchase and mix cobalt that has been mined in different mining places, hence making it hard for buyers including battery manufacturers to effectively trace where the mineral exactly is sourced from.

Hmm, so in short what they need is to cut middlemen and make sure they have an irrefutable identifier for each product. So blockchain will be used to store the hash of that product? Why need to go for blockchain if they can keep their own database and require everyone to submit their data ID there?

It's their own interest so I'm not sure if they'd fake their data. What's more important than that is how they will verify that the inputted data is legit and not just a made up from the mining site.

If they're serious in this matter, then they need to have more intel and more surveillance and stricter law to punish slavery imo.

Terlalu banyak jd binfung gan, apalagi aku blm paham dgn mining

7686  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Scammed by Bitblender!? on: May 20, 2019, 02:41:03 AM
Google can't detect scam or to recognize if a certain project has a good reputation or not.
It couldn't even check if reviews are true or not.
However, regarding Op's query, you can always chat their support team to ask for assistance.

Their raters should be able to do it tho. Raters can rate ads as negative if it is a scam, such as a phishing site. Even though this depends on their knowledge too, they should at least research the legit site and confirm if the ads don't mimic it. If they failed to do it then their payment will get reduced or get removed from the project.
7687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Problem Requesting Blockchain wallet address on: May 20, 2019, 02:17:59 AM
That looks weird. What browser that you use? Have you tried on another web browser?

Your error message seems to be similar to this case: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1e95o0/trying_to_backup_blockchaininfo_wallet_export_of/

Seems like it's a bug since 6 years ago.
7688  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: BTC Not Showing in Electrum Wallet on: May 20, 2019, 02:04:21 AM
just updated to the latest version of Electrum which seems to have done the trick.

What's your previous client version? If you used version 3.3.3 or newer, it should've worked too, so in this case, updating is not really needed to fix it. If not, that might explain the reason why your wallet is unable to sync to good servers.
7689  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: BTC halving and hash power on: May 20, 2019, 01:53:26 AM
By logic of doubling prices , In next 40 years ,BTC should cost more than 7 million USD per BTC. I just wish if it can be true.

Historically speaking that's not entirely impossible. We've gone all the way from less than $1 cents to $8k-ish now, which is 8k times. I'm not surprised if it can do the same thing again but for sure we can't rely on such prediction.

Mining needs to be profitable, so either the code changes or miners find another way to mine, like using green energy or highly efficient device.
7690  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What is the best way to build your project community in 2019 ? on: May 20, 2019, 01:00:05 AM
Economic incentive is the best incentive in this area, so that's what you should count. Rewards helpful members with money/rewards (tokens etc). I don't mean this like your usual bounty hunting thing, just see what LTO or Elrond does for their community. I've been participating in both of their community programs and I can say that it's quite interesting that it feels as if the community are taking part on the marketing/development of the project. Kinda like participated in an open source development. However, you also need a solid product. Even though you have thousands of tokens but your product is worthless, then you'll only get your usual bounty hunters spammer.

If you're talking about the media, or the channel to build your crypto community, Telegram is definitely one of the best alongside with Discord. Average joe would probably use Telegram more, however, keep in mind that some FUDders or simply trollers who join a chat just to troll and keep bringing negativity in the room is pretty much existed in every project. Some members would only care about the price and keep bringing discussion to that point or trying to push the team to hype up the project. Simply put, you'll face a lot of users who only think about profits and not feeling connected with your project at all.

Don't forget to choose a good community admin, and make sure you have more than one. You should never let your chat get 'attacked' by spam or something similar if you want to keep your community happy.

Roll Eyes

7692  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Interesting, weird and very different Bitcoin websites on: May 19, 2019, 05:04:11 AM
The site is interesting. It looks really cool, though I don't understand a bit for a while, especially the part where the ball rolled off the floor (I assume it means confirmed). Where did you find this or what keywords you use to find a site like this?

I tried "bitcoin cool site", "bitcoin interesting site", and so on but most of the results are about exchange reviews or casino site.
7693  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you secretive about trading currency? on: May 19, 2019, 04:50:17 AM
Yes, very dangerous, people think we have a lot of money. Robbers are dangerous in my place, A lot of people got killed because of money. Some traders even hide their real idedntity in social media.

If you were being secretive about trading, then I don't think you should ever use social media and publish your story.

Traders that I know use social media are those who either run a private group or just love sharing ideas to others. If you just want to learn or follow them, use Twitter. No need to make an account.

I don't tell them exactly and specifically my activities involving cryptocurrency. I just tell them that I'm doing an online job because I don't want to explain things further.

I do the same thing, and part of it was true. My full-time job is online freelancing, writing, design etc, so 'making money online' is definitely spot on.
7694  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [Q&A][TIPS] Seputar Bounty/Airdrop Di Sini on: May 19, 2019, 04:33:22 AM

- Waktu pendaftaran
- Campaign yang diikuti
- Username
- Last login
- Post history

7695  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Chinese Debt Trap (Belt and Road Initiative) [Opinions] on: May 19, 2019, 04:23:15 AM
I can understand OP worry as my country has a tangible interest in China loans too. Though they're not the biggest creditor as of now.

Chinese government really tries to control the developig country by offering such loans, and if the government fails China will have their own personal interest. I’d rather work with the Japanese known for a quality services than to the Chinese government, well I’m not a politician and I can’t do anything about this one. Blessed the Philippines.

Looks like this narrative is famous recently. Rather than China, Japan is better.[1] Well, based on history, Japan can be fiercer than what you think. See what happened to the nation under their control in WW2. While time has flown, history remains as our lessons. On the other hand, China denies that what they did was debt-trap policy, as expected.[2]

On the other hand, looks like China involvement in Africa make Uncle Sam unhappy about it.[3] Will we see another war between China and USA? Looks like this will be a capitalist vs capitalist war instead of communism vs capitalism.

Here's a nice article if someone wants to look at this Chinese debt-trap diplomacy since 2017[4].

7696  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: ELECTRUM - BITCOIN WALLET on: May 19, 2019, 04:06:41 AM

7699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CloudPay - new exchange service for Telegram messenger on: May 19, 2019, 03:32:25 AM
No keys are requested. This is a safe exchange.

I'm not saying your exchange works exactly like I said, just telling others that others Telegram based exchange bots work like that.

I'm not technically well versed with this but IMO, it will be hard for you to convince me to start using this kind of exchange.

Just telling the truth, and I think others will have the same words as I've said unless a well known and reputed exchange will also take a look and adds a feature like this.

Have you taken a look at their website? I think you'll know how they work. Long story short, they provide an all-in-one place for you to exchange your coins via exchanger like Changelly or something similar. You choose the exchange, you deposit to their deposit address, and get your desired coins in return on your wallet address that you provided. It's simple enough but you have to make sure that the deposit address really belongs to the exchange that they listed.
7700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Market Roiled by New Allegations Against Tether, Bitfinex on: May 19, 2019, 03:24:16 AM
I have an imagination that the people in the regulation board are also capitalists who sees tether and other corprations as threats to their investments and profits.

That's just an assumption. And even if your imagination were true, it doesn't mean that they should stop doing this. Tether is shady af and there is no other way to make sure they run their business properly if the government doesn't step in, and request any official authority to audit them, even though the government is corrupt as hell (though I'd rather hope they were the good guy).

If you don't want the government to step in, then don't use any stable coin created by a centralized company. Use DAI or other hard-coded stable coins.
