The teams starting five is looking good I agree with that but let's be honest with each other, even with just one injury, one not being 100% and they are still a bit of a lack in depth type of team. For example as a point guard they have westbrook as a beastly great player, but what about after that? Are you really betting your team on Kendrick Nunn? At shooting guard who are they going to play? Melo? At that age? No way, then who? THT? Malik Monk? Is that really a championship caliber player level we would love to see in our team? Lebron is a beast at SF, then who? Ariza? They got Howard and Gasol as bigs, that is the center position for 48 minutes? Surely AD will go there for plenty of minutes.

Basically they do have the best top 5, but after that it is a steep drop for them and they will not be happy even if just one player gets injured and most of them are injury prone as well.

I'll give it to you that they need help at the center position.  Gasol was a terrible signing and should get bought out or traded in my opinion.  Kendrick Nunn is legit though and can definitely handle minutes at the guard spot.  Between Westbrook & LeBron they won't need help bringing the ball up the floor and Carmelo is still at his age a great spot up shooter that will compliment LeBron and Westbrook's passing abilities well.  Not to mention we're still far away from the season starting.  There will be more trades and veteran free agent signings in the future.  If you want a championship and are willing to take a pay cut, you're really only eyeing the Nets and Lakers.
7722  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Stake.com doesn’t pay my bonuses on: August 05, 2021, 08:34:33 PM
I've never had any problems with stake.com paying out bonuses.  Quite the opposite in fact.  Are you still at that platinum level?  From the dates of your messages it looks like you were at one point and received the bonus in July...  Maybe you tried to claim another bonus as your status was being downgraded by using the previous month's level as your proof?  That's really the only thing I can think of.  Seems shady that you'd have to reach out for these types of bonuses anyway.  It isn't like they're manually doing all this stuff.  I'm sure the system would have rewarded you had you earned it...
7723  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar. Get him out of DT! on: August 05, 2021, 08:23:25 PM
Well, a lot of members here just don't like you--including myself, which I'm sure you're aware of, and if you weren't I just told you.  That's how you talk to someone directly (on the internet at least).

A lot of members here do like OG and think of him as an helpful man with an heart of his own.

Sorry to say, but you are totally off the line here thinking that VOD is not at all wrong in sending all those PMs and threat's and in the contrary, OG is a bad actor for not ignoring what's coming at him.

Blatant school bullying is for real here.

Ya, I get a ton of support in PMs and through outside channels.  People are just afraid to speak up here because as you can see, there are malicious actors that are hell bent on gaining influence and are unable to do so by creating anything of value, so they focus on statistics and lash out at others in the hopes it makes them relevant.  Even after I ignore these completely useless users they continue to beg for my attention (see above).  Sadly, there are more trolls than developers on bitcointalk these days so this is what we have to deal with as a community.  Hopefully my 10 BTC donation to bitcointalk will lead to a block feature at some point.

Now that Vod's behavior with his latest extortion attempt is so blatantly illegal and wrong, they can only say I'm making it up to defend their continued attacks against me...  We all know I wouldn't lie about a PM (if not, put your money where your mouth is and let's bet on it) and I'm sure not even the people stating it believe that, but their combined malicious behavior towards me is so based on fantasy that all they can do to defend themselves now is deny their behavior and say I'm making it up.  Feel free to have the validity of my posted PM from Vod verified by the Administration if you want.  I won't hold my breath for those making the accusations I'm lying to ever apologize or do anything to verify their claims, because they already know they're wrong and I'm telling the truth and they try to spread mistrust anyway.  Smiley

As for people not liking me...  The opposite of love is indifference.  You should try hitting that ignore button if that's the case.  Feels more like you're obsessed with me than indifferent to be honest.

I'm sorry for your loss.  One of the downsides of Metamask is that it makes it so easy for sites to interact with your wallet, that there is a security concern there if you aren't familiar with the way it works or failed to catch the warning signs.  With ease of use comes great responsibility.  Metamask seems ripe for phishing attempts by malicious characters/websites and with the NFT craze in full swing, you would be wise to take an overabundance of caution when interacting with it.
7725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 05, 2021, 06:57:48 PM

Dennis Schroder is just looking for a bigger contract than what the Lakers is offering him, perhaps he just want to maximise his potential while he is still healthy. But obviously, LA doesn't want to provide or at least they don't have the capacity right now to offer it to Dennis because of salary cap.
Staying at LA is no longer good for his career, with LeBron and Westbrook in front the rotations for him might be harder, he won't gets good minutes with healthy King James and WestBrook, Better to find another team since he already decline the extension of his contract.

Schroder just isn’t worth the money that was spent on him or that he’s seeking. The Lakers grabbed him and Harrel because they had roles they wanted to fill and needed talent. They both vastly underperformed and like KCP, their contracts needed to go. I feel like the Lakers aren’t carrying a bunch of dead money around now (except Luol Deng’s contract) and are in a pretty good place to sign more superstars when Westbrook and LeBron get too old for title runs.
7726  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 05, 2021, 06:53:17 PM
I take a nap and wake up to BTC lifting off like a rocket! Sure feels like the Bulls are back in the driver’s seat. Let’s see if they’ve got enough rocket fuel to get us over the $45K resistance and send us up to new all time highs. Seems inevitable with all the buying going on. I think we’re all just wondering how high it’ll go.
7727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 04, 2021, 11:58:51 PM
Now they’re saying LaMarcus Aldridge is considering coming out of retirement to give it another shot with the Nets after talking with his doctor! This Nets vs Lakers matchup in the Finals next year seems to be destiny. Other teams would be wise to think of this as a rebuilding year because if either of those two teams can stay healthy I don’t think the rest of the NBA has much of a chance. As a fan of good basketball you have to be excited.
7728  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: With $20k to spare on a rig @ $0.12/kWh...how much could I earn a day? on: August 04, 2021, 11:54:05 PM
With that power rate you might be wise to explore hosting options with cheaper electricity to be competitive with other miners. Mining profitability can change quickly and significantly so it isn’t always best to look at current conditions when trying to determine investment potential. This is especially true now because of the recent actions in China.
7729  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Youtube channel - what would you like to see? on: August 04, 2021, 11:47:38 PM
A few updates:
First filming day was a few days ago. Hopefully it won't be the only filming day, looking forward to adding more of the cool ideas in!  Grin
We're also working on the channel's artwork. We'll likely need more materials so if you know any crypto artists that would feel inspired by the idea, point them here!
After we get a teaser and basic graphics done, the URLs will go public.

Thank you everyone again!

I’m looking forward to seeing what comes of this. Good luck! We’ll have to make sure to do our part and spread the word to get those likes and subscribes on the main channel and the eventual clips channel. Get that YouTube algorithm doing it’s thing to birth the next viral sensation.
7730  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden devolved on: August 04, 2021, 07:12:42 PM
The administration has done a pretty good job of keeping him quiet this far. Besides that wacky take on needing nuclear weapons to attack America I haven’t heard much from him in the media. Same with his VP, who other than thinking people in middle America don’t have access to fax machines or other fancy technology they have in the big coastal cities, has remained largely quiet.
7731  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 04, 2021, 07:07:36 PM
We’re approaching make or break time for the market. We need to see a jump over $45K to propel BTC to new highs. It’s looking good at the moment though. I’m expecting to see some fireworks as we start heading into the end of the year. Q4 should be pretty much straight up for crypto until the music stops. Until that happens, grab a partner and make sure to be on the dance floor.
7732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 04, 2021, 06:54:50 PM
It’s official Carmelo Anthony has signed a one-year deal to play on the Los Angeles Lakers next to LeBron James. Between Carmelo Russell A.D. and LeBron that is going to be one hell of a team. I’m genuinely excited to see the season start so I can watch them all play together.
That's to be honest a 30+ roster there for the Lakers but I wouldn't doubt that they could still make a difference on the court, they're not to be ignored as a team. Veteran type of players coming to Lakers, it's just a hell of a show they brought to purple and gold team.

I think the fact there are so many of them should help with keeping their minutes down. I’m betting we see LeBron’s lowest usage rate ever in this upcoming season, while vets like Dwight & Carmelo will likely be seeing reduced minutes as well. With a little luck they’ll all manage to stay healthy and we’ll get a show come playoff time.

Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System

That was a few narratives ago and pre-2017 thinking. From 2017-2021 it was digital gold or a store of value. That narrative has switched again as the market is trying to aim at a larger target to justify a higher valuation. The new narrative is that Bitcoin is digital real estate, which is what they’ll need to sell it as in order to reach valuations of over a million dollars per BTC.
7734  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar. Get him out of DT! on: August 04, 2021, 02:58:05 PM
If none of what Vod wrote matters, why not just ignore it?

Dear diary, today I've got a new mail from Vod....

Indeed, Og, it's not about taking sides between you or Vod. But (for long!) this is only between you, Vod and maybe mods and theymos. For the rest of us it's just pointless drama...

It’s pointless drama for me too. We all know Vod is a liar who is not going to be able to do anything. It is right of me to make his extortion attempt public though. Clearly he doesn’t belong in DT and when someone tries to extort someone for millions of dollars it isn’t wrong to make it known. The fact people seem angry at me for doing so says a lot about them. Again, I’ve done nothing wrong here so it makes it easy to see who is in the wrong. Smiley
7735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 04, 2021, 02:55:01 PM
Kemba Walker to the Knicks after getting a buyout from OKC… The deals just keep coming. The NBA looks a lot different this week and it’s still so early in the process. I feel like this is going to be the busiest offseason for NBA teams that we’ve seen in a while. So far no crazy jersey burning or any negativity surrounding any of the moves so far.
7736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 04, 2021, 04:24:53 AM
but seeing LeBron kick it out to a wide open Carmelo for 3 is going to be something I'm going to have to witness in person next year.
Bro, I hope you have extra ticket.  Grin

Thanks to the wonder that is magic internet money, Stake.com is kind enough to sponsor both of us to go see a game just by being excited to discuss events here on the forum. It’s a great thing and I hope we do both manage to see the King in person before he retires. Now that the Suns are respectable, I can even catch a home game in Phoenix and get some added star power.
7737  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar. Get him out of DT! on: August 04, 2021, 04:14:38 AM
Even with this blatant attempt at extortion, there will still be those who defend him.  I hope people are taking note of those enabling this behavior.

Like I said…

At least it’s obvious who is blinded by hate when reporting harassment is met with such animosity. I’ve never lied and obviously the quotes I post are real. The only unbelievable thing is that there are people here who continue to pretend that Vod’s behavior is ok and I’m in the wrong for making others aware of it.
7738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we buy NFT? on: August 03, 2021, 11:29:02 PM
I never owned a Beanie Baby.  My baseball cards are all stored away in storage.  I couldn't tell you where my Pogs are.  Owning an NFT is having a nice digital collectible that will never be lost or ruined (if you backup your keys properly) and it's easily tradeable with anyone on the planet quickly and with a low cost.  It's a no brainer that NFTs are going to be a highly sought after collectible in the future.  The trick will be knowing which NFTs are worthless, and which will make you millions.  I'm guessing 99% of NFTs will become completely worthless, but I also think we haven't even seen the beginning of the wave of shit headed toward the market.  Somewhere in that pile will be a nugget of gold though, for certain.
7739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: August 03, 2021, 11:25:12 PM
I'm just going to say it...  This has been the most exciting day for NBA free agency probably since LeBron took his talents to South Beach.  So many moves today of not just big names, but the "other guys" as well (as Shaq would say).  I'm going to have to study all the goings on so I am not caught off guard next year seeing players in new uniforms.  I'm just so happy that Carmelo and LeBron will be playing together finally.  I've wanted to see that for 18 years now.  Granted they are probably both going to be taking a lot more jumpshots than I expected, but seeing LeBron kick it out to a wide open Carmelo for 3 is going to be something I'm going to have to witness in person next year.
7740  Other / Meta / Re: Viable Projects? on: August 03, 2021, 11:17:28 PM
The problem is that 99.9% of "projects" are just people looking for others to give them money, which isn't a "viable project" as you say.  If the project is good, develop it into something and then you'll have people discussing the project and bumping it to keep it relevant for you.  If your project is just a bunch of promises of building something amazing, and there's no working prototype of infrastructure, then you aren't posting a project, you're posting a pipe dream and asking for handouts.  This isn't the forum for that.  Build something that works first, then promote it.
