7741  Other / Meta / Re: Simple answer to getting rid of all the trash threads here on: June 15, 2018, 07:36:35 AM
The forum main purpose is not fighting spammers.
After the shitposting attitude that people put up the only way the mods can control it is to trash their posts. We get so many redundant threads everywhere where members are posting nonsense in order to get paid.

Quote
This is a place where newbies are welcome and they can find a community to help them, answer their questions and help them to discover bitcoin.
That was (and still is) the actual idea behind a forum discussion

Quote
Shitposting is a problem, but the forum is still working.
Shitposting is not a problem its a cancer to this forum metastasized by the scumbags in the forum who love to get paid for writing rubbish.

Quote
Your solution would take out an important functionality from the forum.
I agree with your point because what the OP says - will actually incite more merit trading.
7742  Other / Meta / Re: What does a Jr. Member do? on: June 15, 2018, 07:28:31 AM
Participating in signature campaigns is a good idea. You will earn post count and activity.
You can also "earn" (sic) post count and activity if you post in any section of the forum without a signature as well.

Quote
Participating in bounty campaign was not so good idea. If you want to earn btc in jr member, you must join first sig camp.

Do you come to this forum for this sole purpose of earning for signature posting? If you do then you need to leave the forum and get a new job or some new hobby to kill time. Because the massive amount of spam that you people create is dragging this forum down the abyss.

Quote
Earning merit was not a easy thing.
Merit was created to make it difficult for shitposters to rank up. Roll Eyes

Quote
Its not a easy quicky way to have merit but you, we, must try harder.
Keep up the desperate attempts to earn merits and watch yourself get exhausted. Tongue
7743  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quit cryptocurrency trading its not for you! on: June 15, 2018, 07:20:36 AM
It's absolutely crazy, every ICO channel is full with when when when questions, only those will have big gains actually who realizes that new projects take years to mature.
To some people crypto is a get-rich-quick scheme. Specially after the 20k USD mark being touched last year people have flocked into ICOs and crypto only for the huge returns and complain if some project is a bit slow to grow and act lik self-righteous pests. Its best to ignore such people because will only make life miserable for others with the FUD and propaganda speech.

all new people will never understand how the real reality if the information they get directly from people who can be practiced expertly in trading or investing in crypto and if you know everything needs a process to produce the best.
The problem is that new people would not read the project whitepaper or do some research but with start with the question "is this a scam?"
7744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How gambling can effect the economy of a country [Part 1 - USA] on: June 15, 2018, 06:55:00 AM
Yes, there's definitely a positive side of gambling as well. Our country has been in a gambling war ever since and I don't know if they are very successful. But on the last 20 years or so, it somewhat legalizes some gambling and we even have a lot of casinos right now bringing jobs to us.
That is called employment and that is associated with every company that needs to deal with people. Gambling industry is porfitable for the owners and the employees but not for the player though.

Quote
I have talked to some of the dealers and they attest that working in a casino has a lot of perks besides their monthly pay, they can earn thru tips or even have night differential payments (obviously) that most of them as young as mid 20's have there own car already which is not the norm here.
If they like their job then they should be enjoying it as well. That does not mean everyone would like this as a job. Imagine going to a social meeting and people ask you about your job and then you say "I work at a casino"

Quote
My take here is that its not the casino's problem is somewhat get's addicted, its still up to the person on how he/she will manage and the responsibility to not immersed themselves in too much gambling.
Most people cant control their emotions and tend to addicted.
7745  Other / Meta / Re: A good way to obtain merit points on: June 14, 2018, 08:36:30 AM
The only sure way to get merit is being active and contributing smartly to activities in the forum.

There is no "sure" way for anything. Merit is awarded for posts that are worth reading knowledgeable and informative. If you are posting here in order to get attention of some merit source then you can be sure that your posts will be ignored.

Yes maybe merits are good tools to increase your level and with higher level you can achieve more with bounties and stuff, but I think the whole point should not be getting merits and increasing your level, where in the same time you can learn more than everything with the elements that are available here, so know how to find them read them and learn from them

Correct, Merit is not a "tool" to rank up. It is a system for awarding posts and thus bringing some recognition to the posters in between the flood of shitposts - a post that might be worth reading in the entire noise spectrum.

I'm very new to this community and would like to know more about the technology behind cryptocurrency, but it seems I will going to have a hard time ranking up, but I'm going to treat it as a challenge more than a task,
You can also gather knowledge from reading the threads - but dont get too caught up in the shill posted ANN threads.

Quote
I respect the management decision to place merit as one of the requirements to rank, it's a sure way for newbies that they are not going to spam this forum.
Oh newbies are doing everything they can in order to squeeze merit from people from outright begging to direct threatening. Dont worry they are all being exterminated as we speak.
7746  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does IQ greatly affect a person's success in trading? on: June 14, 2018, 08:27:00 AM
I think IQ helps as you need some level of intelligence to understand how to trade in crypto. However, it is not the sole factor to succeed. EQ is important to stay calm and focused in a volatile market - especially now when everything is down

Being calm during the storm is important. But then again those who have a higher IQ would not be a trader - they would actually be the exchange them-self or satoshi himself  Grin Then we have people who have good knowledge about the market but then they still are panic selling. Again some people might need money in states of emergency and thus have to get their funds out of the exchange.

Volatile market now means a better growth tomorrow. Keep up the hopes people.
7747  Other / Meta / Re: What does a Jr. Member do? on: June 14, 2018, 08:18:42 AM
Being a jr member is a good privilege for those who wants to start joining in some bounty campaign.
That is the sole reason why people like you are going to be added to Ignore lists. Soon enough this forum should change its name to "bountytalk" for the safe of recognition for the shitposters.

Quote
A jr member is starting point of everthing here in bitcointalk forum because you can do anything what other higher members can do like participating in signature campaign is one of th good advantage of being jr member. Because a newbie has a limitation here in this forum even though you can join in some campaign but sometimes it is rarely unlike jr member.
The only think you people can blabber about is getting paid from a campaign and then complain that you are not getting merited. If you are a junior here then keeping a personal signature is what is preferred by others. Merit sources generally tend to avoid the people wearing signatures unless they are pretty old and well known or reputed.

Actually I am a Jr Member too , I spend my time mostly reading different contents and trying to expand my knowledge instead of hunting for mertis, because to get the merits you need to give an amazing content really

LOL that typo caught my eye. Shitposters are so engaged in posting spam that they forget about spelling and punctuation.
7748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did the use of online gambling increase with crypto moneys? on: June 14, 2018, 08:14:11 AM
It less depends on your age and more depends on your knowledge, if you know the tricks and ways straight towards success then you will win and if not then you will face with unfavorable situations.
What are you talking about? Gambling is always a loss unless you get lucky. There exists no methods to get a 100% win streak. In gambling the game is designed to make you lose in one time if you keep on playing. All those bullshit about secret methods and winning methods is pure crap.

Quote
We have seen kids with a lot of knowledge about gambling and are called experts. These mini experts are earning online sites. However the age limit is restricted in many countries but you know online system made it easy for them to gamble.
You have seen nothing and are commenting out of the blue. Underage gambling is punishable well. Stop making up false stories in order to get your daily posts done so that you can get paid.
7749  Other / Meta / Re: What does a Jr. Member do? on: June 13, 2018, 02:13:35 PM
1. Join Signature Campaign
I wonder who this "friend" of yours is or if they are just another reincarnation of the same person who made this thread.

Quote
2. Keep reading and posting good threads
Read more and post less. That is the way you should grow your account. If you are a born shitposter then you wont get any "recognition" from anybody.

Quote
3. Investigate spammers and  merit farming then report them
Tough to do on a daily basis if you dont have a lot of free time to waste.

Why do I have the feeling that this was another pseudo-merit begging crybaby thread? Huh
7750  Other / Meta / Re: Calling for a moderator why my account banned for no reasons? on: June 13, 2018, 02:09:20 PM
I wish to make an appeal for the reactivation of my account please. This is my bitcointalk url: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1028803. I'm working as a Filipino translator.
Your last page of posts - has only a bunch of translations being reserved as posts. This is a type of bounty spamming - though I dont know the forum moderation policy so I cant comment. But if you ask me that would be the reason for the ban.

Quote
To be honest I don't see anything wrong on what I've done.
Honesty is not equal to "not spamming".
Quote
I don't think I am spamming anyone because my posts are within the rules of the thread itself and they are bounties.
Bounties are spammed like anything. My suggestion would be (if your ban is lifted) - along with translations reserving do make some informative posts in other sections of the forum. Otherwise it seems like you are coming to this forum to only spam and get bounties done - which is looked down up in general.

Quote
My kind mod, if I am going to be banned, then maybe half should be banned as well. I am working as an honest member of Bitcointalk. And I did not violate any rules as far as my memory serves me.
Half of them? All of the bounty spammers need to be exterminated. They are the low-life filth of this forum.
7751  Economy / Speculation / Re: Need money... on: June 13, 2018, 02:01:56 PM

Being a Legendary rank member and replying stupidly without reading properly what OP is asking. This shows that how much you properly read english post. OP is asking suggestion for his problem.

OP is literally begging for money if you are reading in between the lines properly. I believe he might receive a warning from the Mods or might even get banned because of making this thread.

@OP if you are looking for suggestions for trading then all I can say is that you need to keep patience and hold the coins that you see are dropping in price. Its a continuous cycle of rise and fall in crypto and if you cant handle that then dont venture into trading at all.
7752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories! on: June 13, 2018, 01:58:43 PM
the first time the most influential on gambling addiction is the friend who is there. someone who first played gambling, and the next day would accept a call from a friend to play again. that's what I've experienced and it's so much fun. but when I accept defeat, it is very painful and that is why I started to leave gambling.
You need to get rid of friends who try to accompany you to gamble. If you waste too much money in gambling you will realize that the money only goes one way if you dont get lucky. Then its only the casino which is making money even when you think you have won big since the number of losses will be bigger than the number of wins.

Its not about victory  or defeat. In gambling the odds are against you so whenever you have started gambling you have already lost.
7753  Economy / Lending / Re: I need 0.5 btc, who want to Loan for me?? on: June 12, 2018, 03:01:00 PM
I need 0.5 btc
Imagine yourself going to the bank and asking like a beggar (cough, cough) - "Please give be 500$" - you will receive nothing but a kick on your sorry bum if you dont offer them any collateral. Grin

Quote
who want to Loan for me??
Nobody. Lips sealed
7754  Other / Meta / Re: Copy-pasting the same all over the forum. What to do? on: June 12, 2018, 02:51:23 PM
Yep, there are many, this is just one grain of sand on a beach. I`ve reported already three or four of her posts, but they are still in there.
I will report it on the link you gave me above, thanks for that.
Just report them with the message "Copy paste". Mods will handle them and hammer these scumbags with a ban on each. These people need to to be exterminated from the forum. It is because of lowlife spammers that the forum is being becoming a toilet for the infantile diarrhoea of self-righteous shitposters from every dying corner of the world.

Is there any airdrop-scam board or something? For I feel this is the fault of the airdrop manager, isn`t it?
No. It is the fault of the parents that they gave birth to such a shitposter.
7755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any gambling site that uses bitcoin? on: June 12, 2018, 02:45:09 PM
In online gambling many sites use bitcoin but almost all type of online gambling is done with bitcoin.
Any reference that you can site for this? I dont see the idea being true rather the opposite. Online gambling is more popular with credit card and old skool fiat money and definitely not bitcoin. Crypto is gaining a popularity? In my opinion its just among the people who are already into crypto who are being counted. Very few traditional fiat money gamblers are going to venture into crypto gambling.

Quote
Yes, there are also many scam sites of gambling but before gambling one must confirm the site and search about it the he should go for gambling. I think if someone wants to gamble with his coins then he should go for it but must confirm the reality of the website and must have a limit in his gambling.
Isnt that like the basic thing that anyone would do before they put in their money into any site?
7756  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Critical week for Bitcoin on: June 12, 2018, 02:39:02 PM
There's so much accusations and FUDs on bitcoin.
There are just conspirracy thoeries and paid news. None of them are proven and none of them have been experimentally been proven to be true. On the other hand I have seen people saying stuff like Bitcoin is never going up again but then right after a few days price rises again. Thus you should not believe in such man-made-fake news.

Quote
From the start of 2018 the price has rallied from 7 to 15K. Everybody's waiting for a bull. People tend to panic because of the unpredictable price.
People tend to panic because they dont have the intrinsic belief in bitcoin and its future. They are only looking for the easy money and not willing to keep their emotions under control.
7757  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Critical week for Bitcoin on: June 11, 2018, 05:06:57 PM
It has been critical with bitcoin since the drop from last November. People are waiting for its recovery but its mid year already and bitcoin still has not increased at least to a $10k mark this month.

Lol bitcoin had never recovered from its original drop from power level 20k USD to 10k USD. It was rallying around 7k for sometime and this drop is expected after the FUD about bitcoin started in some forums for being stagnant.

I mean when do we see a time when no FUD is spread? If bitcoin rises people call it a bubble. If bitcoin drops people call it a scam and now when bitcoin was stagnant they call it an addiction and ponzi and all other BS.

We are sick and tired of people making up conspiracy theories but then that is how crypto is.
7758  Other / Meta / Re: Address changes on: June 11, 2018, 05:02:17 PM
1) How can use my BTC Address to proof my account (Because my Blockchain.info address changes ) .
2) how will proof that address back to me (Send screen shot or what ) ??

You can sign a message from the address that you control and state in the message that you are changing your address to the new address. If you already have an address posted anywhere on the forum then use that post as a reference to your signed message.

Check this thread for how to sign a message - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0

Screenshots are not accepted because they can be easily edited in photoshop and changed. Still I wonder what reason this is for?
7759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories! on: June 11, 2018, 04:48:43 PM
Great decision ha has made. I thought that gambling is bad for our income since it will have a negative effect if lossing is in a streak. But for some reason, if we gamble with our convenient time and our extra money then there is nothing bad to it.

There is nothing bad to doing drugs then according to you. If you have a vice its better to keep it under control because it the cause of your down fall in the long run. You never know where your money went away to because you have been keeping your vices under cover for too long. If you have some "extra" money which is itself a ridiculous idea because money is never extra its always scarce, then you should save it up for use in future for any emergency need or for stocking up for hardships.
7760  Other / Meta / Re: How the process of banning works on: June 10, 2018, 05:32:28 PM
I'd say that even though banning isn't something which is done often on here, we do have a good amount of people who regulate what you're going to be able to do with your account and if you're going to be trusted. As most of the scams in the services, lending, etc (sections) are all painted red by the DT people to ensure that people know that they're not to be trusted.

Action isn't taken on banning too often, this is due to the fact (in my view) that we really don't have enough mods to be policing every section-- though default trust painting the scammers red does pick up a lot of the work for the staff team here. So I don't see the lack of bans as an issue IMO.

The forum policy for dealing with scammers and spammers is different. As you can see yourself, a scammer or potential scammer would be tagged accordingly by DT. But that does not mean they are going to be banned.

In other words Red Trust and Ban are mutually inclusive and not exclusive in all cases. They may be exclusive if both offences of scamming and breaking rules are there.

If you refresh it now, and then you'll soon see that there's hundreds of posts/users being dealt with every hour.

Honestly I am myself often at awe of the huge amount of work the mods are having to do - to nurse the diarrhoea of the forum shitposters who are spamming the threads to get paid.
