Ok guys - once again MiningPOol.co is having problems with this iCoin pool. I have no idea what the problem is, never seen this sort of behaviour with a coin on MiningPool.co before. Getting constant disconnects from the pool. Like I said either this coin has some issues with the version of Stratum I am using (Which is the same as I use for all POW scrypt coins) or someone is attacking the pool. Going to leave the pool up for a while to give miners time to change pools then switch it off. My apologies but there is no point wasting peoples hashes until this problem can be solved. Will place a notice at the top of the iCoin stats page now.

I will NEVER use http://www.miningpool.co . Started off good but then 50% went orphaned and then all of a sudden it just stops for 1,5 hours before everybody is kicked out. Worst. Pool. Ever. Chill out - have been trying to solve the problem since the retarget. I am quite sure either this coin has problems or the pool is getting attacked. I have run pools for over 30 coins and never seen these problems before. I have now changed the port to 3391 which seems to be working now - but still seeing orphans. Thanks Seems the pool is running normally again, only a couple of orphans amongst the found blocks now.

Sorry guys, had some serious pool problems when the re-target hit. Vardiff was set for most miners way above what the network diff was. Tried to change it and, for lack of a better way to put it, the pool crapped itself. Is your pool sorted out now? No, I have never seen these problems before - not sure what the heck is going on. Everything seems to be getting orphaned.

i deleted the old blockchain and started with simply the new client, is this correct?
What block are you on? You should be on block 5195.

My Client got stucked at Block 3099 for the third time. I downloaded the 1.2 client. Created the *.conf file. Starting it, waiting for blockchain-download, but it gets only to Block 3099. So i deleted the peers.dat and all other files and restarted the client. Again ... only till block 3099.
Whats up there?
same here. love the design of this coin, yet this 'launch' seems again totally shitty. Follow these instructions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=407866.msg4422727#msg4422727great. Works. Full night wasted of mining tho. Stuck with 0 coins. Kinda angry now bcs i just downloaded the wallet and started mining. Another failed launch for me. I tried to support this coin because i like the design but this is just a no go like this for me. If you make a post like this, atleast make sure u got your shit together. Always a good idea when you download a new client version to check that you are on the same block height as the rest of the network. Never just assume you are on the right chain.

I seem to be on the right chain now with 5180 blocks. But https://www.miningpool.co doesn't seem to be getting squat. Been mining in it and turning up zero. Should've gotten a few blocks by now... Is there a mining pool that is actually getting some blocks? At the current difficulty - that iCoin is stuck in currently (until the hard fork fixes this issue at block 5200) - and with the pool hash rate of just under 1MH/s it will take on average around 32 hours for the pool to find a block. The whole network hash rate is currently just a touch over 20MH/s. {EDIT} So the hashrate on MiningPool.co is now around 9MH/s so estimated average block time should be 3 Hours 21 Minutes 39.5 Seconds Just got to hang in there and get to 5200!

I have two clients stuck on block 3064..
This worked like a charm, From Comment Above Step to get correct blockchain (even if you got stuck at block n or anything, this will fix) 1. Close icoin wallet 1. Delete %appdata%/icoin/* (except wallet.dat and icoin.conf) 2. Download this block chain database https://mega.co.nz/#!VotmFbhZ!TICrbzUlmRivS4EkfSM1vzDidUs5VcCTj7e1dEM2jSI and copy to %appdata%/icoin/ 3. Start icoin wallet you will get correct blockchain and peers. The dev created a fork for this coin when he started this thread and none of you see why. He says right in there that THE WALLET VERSION CHANGED TO 1.2 AND TO DOWNLOAD THE NEW ONE AT RELEASE. All of your "fixes" are telling people to download and mine on the OLD wallet because people continued to use it. My wallet is fully synched at 3074 as I write this and is counting blocks as we speak. It's also the wallet that the dev released with this thread. Everyone that is on block ~5000+ is mining on a beta version of this coin. Edit: I see also that the dev decided that the old wallet is the "real wallet" despite telling people that it needed to be updated in this announcement thread. What a fucking crock of shit. Get your shit straight if you're going to release a coin. Pathetic. lol - you are incorrect - get your shit straight.

To get on right block chain (current block 5179) please follow these steps: 1. Add node to icoin.conf addnode=162.243.22.117 addnode=seed.icoin.pw addnode=68.0.250.177:9889 addnode=95.21.29.79:9889 addnode=207.138.200.76:9889 addnode=84.98.195.43:9889 addnode=77.172.93.38:9889 2. Delete everything in %appdata%/icoin except wallet.dat and icoin.conf 3. Download this block chain database https://mega.co.nz/#!VotmFbhZ!TICrbzUlmRivS4EkfSM1vzDidUs5VcCTj7e1dEM2jSI and copy to %appdata%/icoin/ 4. Start icoin wallet you will get correct blockchain and peers. Thanks - https://www.miningpool.co back on the correct chain now.
