And here's a lovely little companion piece to the picture in the OP:

Yes, those are US troops. No, they are not stopping that man from growing poppies. They are protecting him and his fields while he does so.
Yeah because pharmaceuticals need poppies in order to develop morphine and opiates which SAVE LIVES in critical situations...

That doesn't mean that I am for the drug war however, as it has created more problems than it has solved, and marijuana always gets unfair and brazen treatment, even though it's less addictive than coffee, and less harmful than many over the counter medications.

However, implying that the US troops are part of some massive conspiracy to smuggle heroine into the western world is a bit disingenuous.
782  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Guns on: July 23, 2012, 08:10:04 AM

A chainsaw is most definitely designed to kill.

I would not want to hang out with some of you people.   Shocked

Seriously...
783  Other / Off-topic / Re: Possible Bitcoin connection to Colorado shooting? on: July 23, 2012, 07:54:26 AM
TSA in movie theaters & gun control is quite a motive. They have been trying to push TSA in theaters for some time, now they have their excuse. I don't care who you think is responsible or why it was done, the end result is clear, more lock down.

As far as this thread is concerned, I am sure the OP thought it was funny or cute or something, but I tend to agree with the sentiment that it is destructive to the Bitcoin community, not helpful or even funny. Bitcoin has enough trouble being associated with drugs, arms, and prostitution without adding mass murder to the list.
+1 please close this thread mods... please its nothing but FUD.
784  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Guns on: July 23, 2012, 07:12:04 AM
One thing I don't understand is the idea many Americans have that having guns would protect them from the government. The government has more weapons, more powerful weapons (atomic bombs for that matter), more people, more skilled people, and just more access to resources. Just having a rifle would not do much good in vs. government scenarios.
+1

Only a modern day idiot would think they can stop the government with just a few thousand people (yeah that's how many would be fighting when it came down to it)..

The government has NUKES stupid. Even if they were getting over-run do you not think they would use them?

In this new nuclear era, governments are to be changed with voices & ideas.. NOT with brute force.

Using any violence to attain ones goals should not even be a reasonable option.

1 tweet message in today's era can have more effect than 1,000,000 bullets.

Think about that.

How is that in any way relevant to the post you quoted?
An adhominem is negating the truth by pointing out a negative in the person supporting this "truth".

This cannot be an Ad hominem because I am not negating "truth", I am negating the lies that you guys try to push on a consistent daily basis.

The government sure lies, but no-where near as much as the "experts" in this forum.

I will not stand for fake homemade statisticians playing "experts", represent the majority of us in this new-age currency.

I will not let their wild conspiracies and their disservice to truth and justice, hurt the chances of Bitcoin ever becoming adopted by a sizable number of people.

Lol the sites main focus is on crypto anarchism. And how to stop over-opinionated "twats". Linking me to some nutjob site that teaches people like you to dispel facts doesnt make you right...

Obvious troll is obvious. Welcome to my ignore list.
Shows why you're so god awful uninformed. You filter opinions that don't reflect yours , then have the nerve to say that we are the sheep?
I hope you didn't filter my post... but I'll save the Tu Quoque.

Shall I continue to point out the incoherent fallacies that roam through your head mykrul?
Quote from: Me
You know, the main character on The Big Bang Theory did the same thing: call out a logical fallacy and then fall into his own. (What's his name, "Sheldon" or something? Anyways, he called out post hoc ergo propter hoc then fell prey to the Gambler's Fallacy: "What are the odds that I'd be wrong twice in one week?")
Specifically, Appeal to Authority, Ad Hominem, and Appeal to Ridicule. Would you like a side of Latin?
Let's add Ad Hominem Tu Quoque to that list, shall we?
I am not negating any truth.

The truth is already out there.

I just have a problem with you guys changing it  Cheesy

Bitcoin geniuses who know more than law enforcement officials, compiling their own data in an attempt to disprove the obvious. Cheesy ... the amount of ego see in this forum is astonishing.
I don't recall yanking your chain....
This is a public debate. You are stupifying the public. Therefore I feel a need to respond...

In other words, "duty calls"? Or perhaps this has more to do with it?
So I am a government spy looking to overthrow this forum with my radical statist ideas right : D? A lot of people here on the forum know me personally (some staff members) , they know that I am a private business man and not a government worker... Is this what you people think of anyone who holds an opinion even midly in favor of government oversight ( which after all is supposed to be run by the people ).

It's sad that you need that crappy website to confirm all of your logical fallacies.

No, I didn't state that you were necessarily a government forum spyx. Did you click the first link? I left open the possibility that you were simply an over-opinionated twat.

Infact it only makes you look weak & proves you cannot debate what happens in RL , and can only keep your opinions limited to what you "think" you know on the  internet...

If you came to Bitcoin Talk it would sure seem that way...

And you guys wonder why the Internet laughs at us... Undecided

cryptoanarchist, you really have a warped mind.

By holding such unfounded views over incidents like this, you actually help the government when they do act in an underhand way. You make it easier for people to dismiss potentially valid arguments as crackpot theories and turn people away from critical thinking. Well done if that is your intention.

Please, if you honestly want to hold the government to account for its actions focus your mind more - living in such a fantasy world plays into their hands.

+1 ,people like him hurt Bitcoin, and they don't even realize what they're doing.

Sad.

Crypto once again you're a FUCKING IDIOT.

And anyone trying to dispel me as "angry"..

Just stfu....

Watch the news, and see why this guys an idiot.

FlipPro Do you have anything to say other than trowing insults and telling us to watch the news ?

How many time do we have to tell you, only idiots listen to MSM news (for what it is)  ?
Sure because only geniuses equate EVERY SINGLE THING that the "MSM" comes up with as a lie...

You have a resident BITCOIN forum member telling you they are there and are affected by this disgusting act.

And then you have people who aren't there, don't know anyone involved, and who have the most twisted out-there opinions, and all of a sudden they're the experts??  Cheesy

Not to mention all the "reasons" why this is a conspiracy are absolutely retarded. If I have to pick them apart one by one I will...

Whatever about what you are actually saying,
You should probably accept that maybe you are angry.
"If you think I'm angry, SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

How many times did you stab the fullstop and return/enter keys while you were typing that message?
No just putting clear emphasis on the unfounded stupidity of another human being.

He says we're the ones who are sheep?

Atleast this sheep doesn't get ALL of his geo-political information from the likes of Alex Jones.

That sounds like a REAL sheep if you ask me...
794  Other / Off-topic / Re: Possible Bitcoin connection to Colorado shooting? on: July 22, 2012, 06:43:20 PM
I don't even have to watch the news... Everything that is happening is on the Bitcointalk forum Tongue

BTW it's Alex Jones who is pushing this "conspiracy" filth.

Don't think these are original ideas for one second...

Nuts parrot each other.

I hope he gets hammered for the ignorant commentary.

Fake story, fake shooter, fake victims.

The Colorado shooting reads just like every other false flag the media has carried out.

Go eat a bucket of cancer you fucktard.

This happened right near me, I have acquaintances that were there and got shot at, ive seen the evacuees of his apartment complex (which they detonated earlier today)...this affected me, my freinds, and family directly.

So, from everyone here in Colorado, fuck you, you awful piece of shit.

Well, I'm 100% sure that this story is pure BS, so that means you're full of it too.

If you want to give me information and say who you are and who your friends are, I'd certainly be interested though.

By the way, I lived in Denver, and know that part of Aurora pretty well myself.

We are seeing some of the worst psycho-nut BTC fan-boys in this post. We wonder why the Internet is so polluted...

Anyways this thread is FUD, there is absolutely no proof that this guy bought the ammo with BTC...

No proof.

The conspiracy nuts who say this was all fake need to get their heads checked.

The people who buy pathetic acting like this need to get their heads checked:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbNlm7lEmEE ....HONESTLY!!!

Here's a vid by someone who isn't a dumb sheeple and realizes how fake "Jennifer Seeger" is:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHpOQwEirmc
Dude you are a fucking MORON.

*HONESTLY*

I wish I had the time to tell you the 1,000,000,001 reasons why....

P.S You must not be from the US for you to think this was a staged event... or not following the news properly...or just plane old fucking stupid... =\

Most likely all three.

what a dunce.

He doesn't get that the same person is the one that is moving the price up and down.

well I can't speak to the merits of the video since I did not bother to watch it. I can attest that unless you suppose Pirate just lost 4500++ BTC last night by being both the buyer and seller of recent large movements then it is not him.

4500++ is what percentage of his total holding?
Genius you are such a bear.

What are you still doing here Tongue , by your metrics we shouldn't even be here speaking at this moment.
800  Economy / Service Announcements / tweetforum on: July 22, 2012, 02:15:42 AM

TweetForum 2.0 BETA is now ready to begin testing!

TF is essentially a content revenue sharing engine that connects twitter to an innovative instant rewards system powered by Bitcoin.

Posts earn Bitcoins by the amount of retweets they receive. A daily retweet rate is set on all posts, and users earn this rate automatically on their onsite wallet.

TweetForum onsite wallets can be used to send payments inside the TweetForum community (fee-free) and any Bitcoin accepting website.

The steps to earn Bitcoins with tweetforum are as follows.

1) If you have a Twitter account simply login, if you don't you'll have to make one.
2) Make a post.
3) Bitcoins go into your pending wallet balance for review instantly.
4) For "tweet forum celebrity's" (hero members) , re-tweet payouts will be released instantly.

The site works awesome on mobile devices, and should be a great replacement for any of your social media applications.

Posts on tweetforum are categorized by Retweets.

Essentially, the more tweets a post gets, the higher up the forum ladder it goes. Good tweets get more exposure and earn more Bitcoins!

All replys/posts are automatically syndicated through twitter and the TweetForum network, so it guarantees maximum visibility of all the public dialog.

The money that is used for rewards on tweetforum will be coming from our advertising revenue and TweetForum mining operation (offsite).

----

All bugs found on the site should be reported on site by clicking on your account button, and selecting "report bug".

Much thanks to forum member and friend NothinG for helping me with much of the Bitcoin integration.

We plan many more upgrades in the weeks to come so stay tuned!
