781  Other / Off-topic / Rap artists you listen to? on: April 04, 2014, 01:03:25 AM
Trying to diversify, don't want crap rap music like 2chainz (IMO).
Listen to Eminem, B.o.B, Drake, Yelafwolf, and Lil Wayne ( his "more mainstream" music)
I really like the genre of Rap, what do you guys listen to? Recently got into Chakuzza, he's german, and IDK what he's saying but it sounds great! So language of rapper is not a problem Smiley
782  Other / Off-topic / Re: How long have you been logged in for? on: April 04, 2014, 01:00:39 AM
Total time logged in: 34 days, 56 minutes.

a whole month wasted  Tongue
Was it really wasted though? I'm sure you learned something! Smiley

Indeed, I'd rather have 660 days here than on my WoW account. :/

660 days?!?!? I myself am a gamer (PC) but I just can't WoW..... That  is rather impressive.... That takes dedication  Grin
783  Other / Off-topic / Re: How long have you been logged in for? on: April 04, 2014, 12:58:45 AM
2 days, 19 hours and 31 minutes. Plan on staying long here!
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: These new EFFICIENT x11 algos everyone is talking about ?? BULLSHIT or real? on: April 04, 2014, 12:57:53 AM
Yeah I get it now, as GPUZ claims on Avg. 89% loads, but WU in cgminer for me stays the same. If it could be better coded, what do you think the hash rate improvements would be? Also as stated before, what would the consumption increase be like?
785  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: If I had $1000.... on: April 04, 2014, 12:56:02 AM
IF your dead set on mining, definitely a rig. Note I didn't say scrypt. I personally think either x11, scrypt-n(adaptive), and scrypt-jane will probably be the algo's that are going to be the gpu miners algo. Keccak maybe. Leaning towards x11 because:

1. Use 30-50% less power
2. Less heat (I get 20 degrees celcius cooler)
3. "Faster" hash rates. (Since algorithm runs more efficiently, expect 3-4x faster hash compared to scrypt)
4. ASIC resistant*

* For now. Like every other algo, if there's enough interest in it, ASICS will be made. Eventually.
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: These new EFFICIENT x11 algos everyone is talking about ?? BULLSHIT or real? on: April 04, 2014, 12:46:24 AM
What he's asking is while you are mining x11 on your 'deliberately inefficient' software and GPUs, are there already those out there with optimized/tweaked hardware and software mining much more than the rest of you right now?

I'm not sure of the answer, but it's an uncomfortable question and I wouldn't be surprised if there are.

Wait he's asking if there is a more efficient miner of the x11 algo?
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: These new EFFICIENT x11 algos everyone is talking about ?? BULLSHIT or real? on: April 04, 2014, 12:32:57 AM
I will post gpuz/cgminer screenshots if you would like of my gpu (7750) running script and x11 algos. I don't have a watt meter so I can't measure power consumption but one can assume lower temps, lower watt usage.

Yep, i mean nobody doubts that mining x11 with the current "widely known" x11 miners we have... uses less of the cards resources than scrypt or scrypt n, scrypt jane etc. So it does use less electricity and outputs less heat.

However, read the car analogy in the OP to see what we are really asking here.

I saw your car analogy, and I can't quite really give a solid answer. I mean, if everyone is using that algo to mine, what does it matter someone is mining "faster" as it is all relative to the algorithm. IMO, we should mine the most efficient algorithm energy and heat wise, as your hash rate is proportional. This does make ASICS easier to make as the more efficient an algo is, the easier it is to ASIC.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: April 04, 2014, 12:28:35 AM
Looks very interesting. Technical details are fuzzy for me but is it that you run a node and it works likes POS or is it like POW? Also what I think would be better that we were rewarded in coins that you could redeem either for:

a. More storage space for uploading.
b. Bandwidth, etc....
c. BTC

Thanks! Got the 270.

no problem   Grin glad to help.
791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LEAFCOIN - NEW UPDATE AVAILABLE - DIGISHIELD + FLATREWARDS + CHECKPOINTS + MERGE on: April 03, 2014, 11:36:54 PM
What pool right now merge mines leaf?
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New Gridseed Blade Miner 5.2MHash/$3000 on: April 03, 2014, 09:22:50 PM
Haha seems like some hype then  Grin
793  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price/BTC rise to 1.000 USD again you think ? on: April 03, 2014, 07:54:59 PM
I believe more major companies will need to adopt it before price can rise again. Also more countries will need to lift there ban on BTC and actually give it a chance. I think IRS needs to revise there taxing statement as it prohibits daily transactions. As much as this breaks the purpose of BTC, I think a central figure will be needed to further legitimize bitcoins. It could still be decentralized with owners of coins have a certain percentage power based on there amount of coins, with no one have no more than 1% voting power. So in summary: More backing, more repuation, more trust is needed for price to rise. Also, consumers must feel safe using it and not be burdened with setting up a wallet.

My $0.02

@precrime3 Are you reading my mind? I was just in the middle of setting ECC up on our new stratum to switch to it now. Smiley

I just have a talent of seeing coins that have potential xD. Wait let me guess your name....... Drake?
795  Economy / Lending / Re: Seeking investors: Guaranteed 3% return in 24 hours on: April 03, 2014, 07:48:44 PM
Because usually a guaranteed return is sketchy, especially every 24 hours You must be like a pro trade, a whale, pumping and dumping everyday. It is not possible for arbritage to be that profitable, if you could be transparent on how you are making that kind of money, and told us, that might build a little bit more rep. But now it seems like a ponzi.
796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HBN Investment Journal - 2% returns every ten days - 80,000+ HBN Porfolio on: April 03, 2014, 07:42:01 PM
I was looking into TEK last days and i think there is not enough volume - the 40% per month is nice, only if you can sell it.

Theres a decent amount of volume on crypsty, as your not needing to sell them as you just need to run the client. Plus I would hold till I had enough to make a self-sustaining stream of revenue from just POS tekcoin. IMO all other POS coins seem to have a either low, fast yield, or high, slow yield.
797  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 3rd Gen? on: April 03, 2014, 07:39:23 PM
Thanks for the link  Cheesy
Good lord, 4.5 BTC for 300 gh/s?Huh Seriously?
No thank you, antminers please.
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] ipoMiner - Profitable multipool targeting new coins on: April 03, 2014, 07:37:37 PM
I personally think we should swap back to ECC. Difficulty is low (30 or below) and if it follows the same pattern as other coins that have POW distribution, it should double or triple in satoshis xD
799  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Check out this Antminer S1 Price on: April 03, 2014, 07:31:55 PM
I think its people heard so much stuff about BTC, but they don't really understand. Also since none of the ASIC brands are mainstream, they don't know who to trust. So people are willing to pay a premium for paying in cash on a site that offers consumer protection. My $.02
800  Bitcoin / Hardware / Avalon 3rd Gen? on: April 03, 2014, 07:22:14 PM
I remember seeing a thread started by dogie... It had a timer and then it went to sh*t. Any updates on 3rd gen?
