Good stuff! Someone just recommended the following video to me and I'm happy to see it's already listed on your channel.
Bitcoin vs. Political Power: The Cryptocurrency Revolution - Stefan Molyneux at TNW Conference
782  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama unveils plan to start federalizing state and local police on: March 06, 2015, 06:56:08 AM
This guy is completely out of control and it seems the more he acts on his own w/o restraint from Congress, the more he feels invisible from any sort of curbs on his growing power. The large part of him being pussy footed around with is because he's black and you got the liberal white guilt on one side and the panty wastes in the GOP that can't handle the liberal mainstream media leveling racist bullcrap at them for putting their foot down on this guy once and for all.
The puppet masters certainly know what they're doing and almost certainly placed him in power for this very reason, knowing they'd have free rei(g)n. Do you think it will work as well, by calling critics misogynists, if (let's say) Hillary were to take the throne?
783  Other / Off-topic / Re: How long do you know Bitcoin? on: March 06, 2015, 06:17:05 AM
I don't know BITCOIN personally, but I like this song of his, which I discovered, in December 2014, soon after its release on Youtube.

Anarchist/Nihilist.
785  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The end of copyright and patent is where we should be headed on: March 06, 2015, 05:30:29 AM
I personally don't see this ever happening, since not only would people have to put aside their own petty and selfish desires, but they'd also have to destroy the formidable political and corporate power structures which supports such behavior.
Correct. This will happen.

Even though I don't believe it's quite enough, the end of monetary inflation would surely be a great start and certainly a move in the right direction. Great video. Thx!

Though this all seems good but think for a moment that you work your ass off , day and night , crowd fund a project and then some rich guy steals your idea , get's it done and Ta-da! who get's the credit ?
The Rich guy because media will go to him.
The idea of patent is to get people what they deserve and if someone works their ass hard and gives us something good , they deserve the royalty

I did address this in my original comment. You're missing some context here, since Beliathon didn't quote my comment in its entirety.

Here it is again.
If we were to eliminate patent and copyright laws without moving on to something like a 'gift economy', rich and powerful entities would simply steal your ideas and flood the market with their own versions. I personally don't see this ever happening, since not only would people have to put aside their own petty and selfish desires, but they'd also have to destroy the formidable political and corporate power structures which supports such behavior. Frankly, I don't believe people will ever become intelligent, vigilant and responsible enough or care for one another enough, to break free from this perpetual master/slave relationship with one another.

<Edit> Isn't this topic better suited in the Politics & Society section?

Some of the analogies Stefan Molyneux makes in his speech are priceless.

I once tried my wife's guitar and ended up breaking the wire , never touched them again out of fear

If only there was another 'tit' thread to wedge this 'cock' thread between.  Wink

These threads are really funny Cheesy

Thank you. They were inspired as a response to the stupid "What color is this dress?" threads that popped up a while back. Smiley

792  Other / Off-topic / Re: Weed or Alcohol? on: March 06, 2015, 02:28:44 AM
Weed is a lot less dangerous and less habit forming.

Smiley
Both are equally dangerous.

That's not true at all.

No-one has ever died from being "too high", yet many people have died from alcohol poisoning.

By decriminalizing weed the dangers associated with criminal elements disappears as well. When it comes to organized crime, you are just as likely to get hurt or killed if you are dealing with baby food as you are dealing with pot.

Marijuana has been demonized (for approx. the last 80 years) by the establishment (and friends) in order to suppress its medicinal (and textile) value in favor of other less abundant, therefore more controllable and profitable ones. Prior to this era, the medical community was enamored by it and preferred it over other medicines in use today, namely aspirin.
793  Other / Politics & Society / Re: i don't hate muslims on: March 05, 2015, 10:47:26 PM
i posted cause every time i watch the news, watch youtube, check out CL rant and rave, or bitcointalk politics and society, i see and hear about hatred towards muslims or anybody else from the middle east that have nothing to do with ISIS. yes ISIS is a problem but for me the police in the US is a much bigger problem. both sides kill people but the police are killing far more and they are suppose to protect and serve. the police are domestic terrorists and i hate them more than ISIS. we are so busy fighting and hating regular people when we should be paying more attention to the rising police state.

Indeed. I knew that's what you meant. The US is busy creating enemies (terrorists) to fight on both sides of the fence. I just wish people would finally wake up to this fact.

Definitely prefer weed over alcohol, but I'd really like to try some 'Mad Honey'.

795  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best multiplayer game. on: March 05, 2015, 09:01:22 PM
Minecraft is still amazing, but new games like Starmade are taking it to the next level. Also check 7 Days to Die, is a zombie survival with high end graphics and you can destroy the terrain and build anything just like in Minecraft. This game is so damn addictive once you get the basics.
I just finished checking out a couple videos of '7 Days to Die'. It does seem like a modern, up to date version of Minecraft, but I wouldn't call it the 'best multiplayer game' out there. Still, if you like Minecraft, this is probably a game you'll want to check out.

Didn't your wife bake you a proper birthday cake?  Sad

Much info? You mean, you didn't provide ANY info. This, along with your poor grammar and spelling indicates your lack of commitment and authenticity.

Although I can appreciate you not wanting someone to steal your idea (even if you are being genuine, which seems doubtful) I can guarantee you will not find ANY support this way.

...
Analysts have proposed a variety of explanations for America's hyperactive, oversized militarism. Here are the top three:

1. The US government has been captured by the military-industrial complex, which demands to be financed lavishly. Rationales are created artificially to achieve that result. But there does seem to be some sort of pressure to actually make weapons and field armies, because wouldn't it be far more cost-effective to achieve full-spectrum failure simply by stealing all the money and skip building the weapons systems altogether? So something else must be going on.

2. The US military posture is designed to insure America's full spectrum dominance over the entire planet. But “full-spectrum dominance” sounds a little bit like “success,” whereas what we see is full-spectrum failure. Again, this story doesn't fit the facts.

3. The US acts militarily to defend the status of the US dollar as the global reserve currency. But the US dollar is slowly but surely losing its attractiveness as a reserve currency, as witnessed by China and Russia acting as swiftly as they can to unload their US dollar reserves, and to stockpile gold instead. Numerous other nations have entered into arrangements with each other to stop using the US dollar in international trade. The fact of the matter is, it doesn't take a huge military to flush one's national currency down the toilet, so, once again, something else must be going on.
...

There's plenty more and I would add that this is a great representation of what really goes on with the US military and those that have commandeered the US govt...http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-03-03/financial-collapse-leads-war

Don't know if there is an objective to fail. Seems more like bad policies being followed. But I wouldn't say only the current administration is to blame. The general policy has been the same for over a century at least. Maybe it was most successful when America had half of the wealth on the world. And the other major powers were practically destroyed after ww2. But not so much now that there is a greater distribution of wealth and power.

The way I see it this MIC wants the foreign policy to be of constant interventionism so those in this line of business and investing are constantly making money and getting contracts to develop more tech and weaponry. So, those in the Pentagon and State Dept have unlimited toys, money and lives to play around with and the concept of failing w/ any of their plans never meets w/ penalties. The more you can spend the more you can justify an increase in your budget the next year and we all know that the military gets a blank check and much of the public either has no say in the matter or they're for it because military spending has been conflated w/ supporting the troops and national defense. Like General Smedley Butler said and wrote a book about, "War is a Racket". Remains a salient point to this day even tho we don't declare wars anymore.

Exactly, there's a lot of money to be made in just the logistics of making war, then there's the rebuilding of destroyed infrastructure and buildings after the war machine has moved on, as well. There aren't many building contracts to be had in an area that's already developed... unless you destroy it, of course. There's also the simple prospect of acquisitions too. Like Baron Rothschild said, "The time to buy is when there's blood in the streets."
799  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lets help out! on: March 05, 2015, 07:44:42 AM
I don't believe in doing that. There's no way of knowing with absolute certainty what you're contributing to. They may tell you it's to cure cancer, but they could just as easily be covertly researching designer viruses to wipe out certain races or demographics. No thanks.
800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many Bitcoin news sites? on: March 05, 2015, 07:36:25 AM
One can only hope it's a sign that Bitcoin is becoming more mainstream. It's probably no exaggeration to claim that there's many thousands of news sites out there covering nearly just as many different kinds of topics. It seems only natural to me that the number of news sites covering Bitcoin is growing. It's also normal that many won't be original and some will even try to spread disinformation, but all of them will try to make money from whatever they're doing.
