781  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Should i change my BTC Wallet Address ? on: December 16, 2023, 08:27:32 AM
Or with coinjoins. You could use whirlpool for example.
Why not just swap it to monero and back to bitcoin? He is using a a centralized exchange. There is possibility that the exchange may still also seize coinjoin coins.

If I am the one, I will send the fund to two addresses, wait for some days, send it to another two addresses which makes it two hops and I will leave it for some days before sending it to an exchange to spend.

But I do not think OP has any problem, because Binance ought to have seized his coin or freeze his account but there is nothing done.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: December 15, 2023, 11:39:41 PM
If casinos will make their terms and conditions more shorter and readable, a lot more gamblers will take the time to read through what the casino says. The problem with term and conditions is that asides the fact that they can be long and boring, the font used for the writing of theses terms is not always attractive to read, hence many gamblers do not waste time there, but will quickly accept the terms and conditions even without reading.

The terms and conditions of the sites that I have know before is not boring and have good font.

It is the old casinos that do have longer terms of service. New casinos terms of service are not that long. I do not see it long generally because I only read the important parts, not all.

Some other gamblers also assume that the terms and conditions of all casinos are the same, so because they have read the T and C for this casino, they do not read the  conditions by the other casino.
It is good to still check the important information. Some gamblers may later be banned but found out it is because he did not read the terms and conditions.
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I ask for refund if casino game has bugs? on: December 15, 2023, 11:31:43 PM
For some casinos you could send a complaint or an appeal, provided that you give them the proper documentation stating the fact that you experienced a bug on their part which led to the loss. if you couldn't provide such then you're sadly not gonna get too far. Some casinos outright trash these kinds of cases and complaints cause there's nothing in it for them monetarily. If you personally experienced this and are looking for options to take your win/money back, check with your casino first if they offer such, I personally take it as a red flag if the casino I am in's not taking complaints about game-costing bugs and glitches but it's all a matter of preference. If they take your complaint to heart and fix your issue, congrats, if they don't. I suggest you take your business elsewhere.
I am sorry to ask you this question. Did you read the OP at all?

OP is asking that if you gamble, like using a slot machine, which we know can have bug as this has happened some times in the past that a gamblers that uses the machine would win too much amount of money like $50 million. The casino may not want to pay the gambler or not able to afford to pay the gambler.

This is not about a machine that is faulty that led to loss, but the one that is faulty and led to big win. OP said, if it is loss, the casino will not say anything, but if it is a huge win, the casino will say the machine has bug.

The gambler which is the victims should be in lawsuit with the casino if not paying. The court will accept that it is a bug but the gambler will still have to be paid some amount of money which is still not small but not all the money won.
784  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why does the halving increase the price? on: December 15, 2023, 09:28:31 PM
Investing after halving massively is something that is becoming norm and no special reason. But I think what makes people to start it is because after halving, the mining reward decrease by half which makes the supplying of bitcoin into the market to reduce, making it deflationary and valuables.
785  Other / Beginners & Help / I put money on Ledger on: December 14, 2023, 10:05:45 PM
I saw the tweet today. Making it sound like it is noncustodial wallet fault. This is the tweet:

I put money in the bank -
Banks going bankrupt.

I put money in crypto exchange -
The crypto exchanges going bankrupt

I put money in defi wallets -
Fcking defi wallets getting hacked

I put my money on offline wallet -

NOW FCKING LEDGER GETTING DRAINED

I think he is a rich person. But I am disappointed that people like him is still using Ledger Nano wallet which is not a wallet that people should advise anyone to use.

Ledger wallets are full of flaws. I am expecting another flaw again but some people will not listen until they are affected. I will like to say that DeFi, DAO, Dapps and other innovations are just another way to give scammers privilege to do their work.

787  Other / Meta / Re: How did you know about Bitcoin and Bitcointalk? on: December 14, 2023, 02:51:59 PM
How did you know about Bitcoin? From good news or from bad news?
In my opinion, that is not a bad news. Theymos might do research about bitcoin and see how promising bitcoin can make someone's future to be.

How did you know about Bitcointalk?
I know about Bitcointalk online from an online article. I decided to join and it was fun.
788  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does anyone find the spate of online casinos a bit uninspired? on: December 14, 2023, 09:48:49 AM
All of them copy the exact layout of a famous crypto casino with a minute difference in colour and graphic. Some go ahead and copy the games without any hesitation. This not something that we did not notice or the community did not discuss. The current online crypto gambling market is lucrative and companies want to cash on it. There are only a handful of few which have originality and new concept. If they succeed then we will see a copy version of them coming out very soon.
Yes it is true that scammers will copy the a legit site, but what about the games? I do not know how that is done and I do not know if a game on legit casino sites can be copied. A casino site that has no enough money or that have just established may depend on third part game providers. Many of the gambling sites that we visit, third parties provide them games. To know that, you can check the URL when you are about to play the game. You will see the URL to be very different from the gambling site. But if it is a sport gambling site, a scammer will prefer to go for such and copy the matches odds from another sport gambling site.
789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Target your wins in a series of bets on: December 13, 2023, 07:55:46 PM
One thing you should understand about betting is the fact that there is no amount of permutation of your bet games that will give you the predicted results you certainly want, betting is unpredictable so your 5 odds might not even go the way your predicting, 4 bets in a series of 10 bets with the odd being 5, that 4 bets might not go your way too.
People sliding into psychological crisis while betting, has to do with the addiction and their level of maturity, gambling is for mature minds, is for people that can take a bow and go when they know that they've lost a lot and try to fight another day.
I just know that house hedge is real. As gamblers are gambling, they will most likely see the game not favoring. The longer they continue to gamble, the more they might lose. I think you are correct about this. What I use more is the martingale strategy. It is risky too but I do it wisely with just the money that I can afford to lose.

Whether we are so confident about a particular bet or not, we just have to make sure that we don't over bets because this is one of the major problems many gamblers used to face and if they don't make sure they reduce it or control it, it could lead to big problems. For us to keep making profits from betting, it is good for us to check our strategies and how often we bet so that we don't bet in a way that would after us in the future with great bad effects. We might be doing somethings now that we might not know that they have consequences in the future, until the right time comes and we see it for ourselves.
Greedy gamblers would win and still continue to bet until he is no more favoured but losing. Some will be losing and instead to stop playing, they will continue and continue to lose. The strategies used is very important, also the money used. Small amount of money will let you gamble longer if you want to have fun, but martingale strategy will help you to gamble within a short time. Risk management is very important.
790  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you still use Banks ? on: December 13, 2023, 02:47:51 PM
I hold bitcoin and few shitcoins. But that is for investment and store if value. Store of value for Bitcoin. Gambling for altcoins. So I convert altcoins to bitcoin or stable coin when it is time.

I still use fiat because people in my country are buying and selling with fiat. You will find it hard and frustrating to buy with bitcoin or other crypto. I prefer to use crypto, but the way my country is do not let me.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is fun, watching with bet or without a bet? on: December 13, 2023, 08:38:03 AM
It's more exciting to watch a game with a bet, our emotions swing as the game goes on, because the outcome of the game will determine whether we lose or win.
Especially if we bet a large amount. It's very tense. LOL I strongly advise not to bet on the amount of money that makes you fall poor when losing it.
I can remember a match that the winner won with 2 goals. In the first half, a goal was scored by the away team. There were many people watching the match and I was among them. A man was seen unhappy. Although we should not be happy because the away team was winning our country's team, but at least you can still see the energy in us. This man was helpless. At the second half, the away team scored the second goal and the man fainted. What caused it? He gambled the match with huge amount of money. If we are going to watch a match or not, we should avoid using too much amount to gamble. You are able to watch the match enjoyably because you used little amount of money to place bet on the match.
792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: December 12, 2023, 11:53:25 PM
This is the worst-case scenario that can happen to a person engaged in gambling.  I think the person lost all his finances and at the same time the money is allocated to somewhere important.
If this is how it is, he supposed to think about the consequences if he lost the money. That is how some people are. People need to think not about the profit only but also if it would be loss. People should just not see gambling as a way to make money, it is a way to ruin oneself life if using it for money making. Gambling can not be used to make money. It takes than give.

We have read and heard of stories like this and this may not be the last. People need to think of what will happen to them if they lose the money they want to spend on gambling before they gamble with the money at all.
793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Passionate gambler keeps the gambling boards rolling even after retirements on: December 12, 2023, 07:03:17 PM
Well this doesn't look like gambling to me. It appears like  a gifting that the organiser wants to do and allow people and the neighborhood catch some fun. They are not staking any of their money yet they would be given prices based on their performance of the games so organized.
In short it is not gambling but they are just having fun with someone that sponsors the competition. What the OP is talking about is that a gamblers that is retired have fun with something related with gambling but not gambling. That man is only doing that to help people to come and play game and win something for the yuletide. If you are not using money to play game, yes it is not gambling.
794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Logic of some gamblers against math on: December 12, 2023, 06:40:36 PM
The best after winning is to just quit and not gamble again for that day.  Some gamblers will want to have fun, they can reduce the money that they are using to gamble. Example is if a gambler has won $10 for the day, the gambler can just use $5 to gamble for the remain gambling time of the day. With $0.5 in each game, it would make the gambling time longer. If all the $5 are lost, he should not gamble with the remaining profit but stop gambling for the day.

But that's not how it works. Every spin is a new game, and you're just as likely to win or lose as you were on the last spin.  There is no math that says you have less chance after winning a huge multiplier if the outcome of the game is truly random.
If you have been betting and experiencing how it is, you will understand that the more you gamble the more your gambling fund will reduce in a way that you may likely add more bankroll. That is what OP is talking about and he is definitely right.
795  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Centralization in mining. on: December 12, 2023, 01:06:07 PM
Even till now, Foundry USA and AntPool are both having over 51% of the hash rates in total. But not that only one mining pool is having the over 51% hash rates.

It would have been good if the hash rate can be more distributed than only two pools having over 51% of mining hash rates. Let us see what will happen when Tether and Ocean that former Twitter CEO raised funds for will start operation. Tether said they are investing $500 million into bitcoin mining.
796  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I start investing in Bitcoin? on: December 12, 2023, 09:51:27 AM
If you can begin to invest in bitcoin now, before 2024, it would be good. If you want to wait until the beginning of 2024 to start investing in bitcoin, it is not still too late.

Next year will be full of the bulls. Bitcoin will get to all-time-high. Bitcoin may reach six digits.
797  Other / Meta / Re: How do I fix this ? on: December 11, 2023, 09:07:02 PM
Having a good internet connection helps, but it doesn't prevent things from taking a long time.
The server response time must be taken into account. In addition to processing this request, it is processing thousands of other requests made per second from other visitors.
But from my end, I noticed something with my 4G router and 5G phone. Once you have clicked on view all on a thread, it will show what is seen in the OP, but if you go back and click on view all again, it will not show it again but load the page immediately. Also if you go to other different threads, it will not also show it again if you click on view all, even on different boards.
798  Other / Meta / Re: How do I fix this ? on: December 11, 2023, 08:58:10 PM
If you click on view all, it is normal for you to see that. It happens to everybody.

Have you tried using a network provider with a stronger signal?
I am using 5G with good connection and high internet speed, but it is still like that.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Spending more or less money on Casino this Holiday season on: December 11, 2023, 05:04:56 PM
Why should I spend more when I have other things to spend on at the end of the year? I have some people to spend on, my spending will increase. It is either I cut the money I use to gamble or I just use the amount of money that I am using. I am not affected because I receive enough salary, which means that I will neither increase it nor reduce the money I spend on gambling at this time.
800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one you are good at? on: December 11, 2023, 04:58:06 PM
I think I'm more on the "selecting the right bet". I don't have a well-managed bankroll when I'm gambling because I really just want to enjoy and maybe if I'm lucky, cash out early. Most of the time, I noticed that I got myself into the streak of losing. I just want to get over with. I'm not profitable in gambling.
If you really want ro enjoy gambling, take care of your bankroll and do not use any substantial amount to gamble. Just be using little amount of money. From the little amount of money, divide it into 100 places and use each to gamble and you will have longer time to gamble than using higher amount of money to gamble. You will see the fun than chasing money. People that do not have good gambling money management are not having fun and they are only going for money than entertainment.
