781  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FUN] Is DdmrDdmr even human? on: June 27, 2022, 01:21:07 PM
It would be nice if he can share us the Merit Script he uses  Tongue

But it is not just about how fast he makes the merits, the quality on his post it's brutal. I would say Ddmr is one of those users who has apported more to the forum than 99.99% of the users. And it's awesome to have him in the Spanish section.

He is super active on the Spanish board and sadly I do not know Spanish. Most of his other post is long and informative which requires a lot of time to write down. After seeing some top-tier members of this forum the only thing that came to my mind is this is not possible for me. I just try to imagine how it is possible to write down that much text in a single day if they are not superhuman.
782  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ROEE BEN SHUSHAN] Multiple scams including PARTYLAND, GPN Coin, PCN Coin, etc.. on: June 27, 2022, 01:00:59 PM
You have done a good investigation about all these scam projects and all these scam projects follow the same pattern. It is possible that all these have been done by one person. But what are the points of doing this anyway? We know he is a scammer and he already red-tagged for that. That all can be done through this forum. I can see for every project he has used a new BTT profile so in the next project he will create another one and change his methods if he sees your OP here.

Investors should be aware of where they are putting their money into. He must have spent some money on all of these activities. He gets motivated to do these again and again because there will be some people who will invest. I do not think investors came to this forum to learn about a project before investing. All of his funds have been raised through social media promotion.

He is just using this platform to get his work done by promising a shit token distribution. All we can do in the forum is not join any project that is promoted through newbie accounts. I really doubt this will work because there will always be some people who will join these scam campaigns no matter what. Most of them don't even do some research before joining whether the project is legit or not.
783  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the golden rule of investment? on: June 26, 2022, 02:13:43 PM
If you keep crypto aside then the golden rule of investing in buy the assets. Some People will laugh and say everyone knows these so this is not important to know. But What I see is people know these rules but they do not know what assets are and what liability is. They brought liability instead of assets and later regrate buying that thing.

If we bring back crypto investment in our discussion then I want to say keeping your full portfolio in crypto is extremely risky and is a bad idea. Spreading your money too much is not also a good idea but crypto should not be your only and primary place of investment. Like OP said how luna disaster impacted someone's life because most of the investment was in crypto and in one particular crypto asset. If you have extra money that you were going to spend in a club or in a party then brought some crypto with that money. If you are lucky it will change your life and if not then you just missed the amazed of your party.
784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching college students about Bitcoin on: June 26, 2022, 02:00:19 PM
Actually, it is hard to do this type of educational activity where BTC is illegal. Where I am living is not a very crypto-friendly place But I also hope I will arrange a seminar or meetup about BTC in my country one day.

What amazed me is those exam papers. They have used BTC-related questions there which means they also have discussed it in their classes with the students. That is something needed to spread awareness about BTC to our youth because they are going to lead this community in the future.

785  Economy / Reputation / Re: Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great! on: June 26, 2022, 12:56:00 PM
😅 😅 😅
Like seriously, this thread is for me😋 I haven't logout from forum since morning. Do you know why? 🤔 I just earn my first merit this morning 💪and the happiness I'm currently having is just like heaven on earth. Honestly, it makes someone to be happy and also give strength to push for more of it.

You just remained me of my first day of getting merits. It was like winning a lottery. Before that day I was just thinking that getting a merit in the forum is extremely hard and only for people who are specialized in certain knowledge. Actually, it's all about helping each other. You do not have to always create something new to get merits it can be a piece of info that someone is looking for.

What is hard in this forum is increasing activity. You need to have consistency in posting to increase your activity. Only merit won't rank up if you do not have activity. Also, this motivates people to be active in the forum. The overall system is a piece of the creativity of genius minds.
786  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 26, 2022, 12:45:57 PM
Coinbase is one of the worst of evil exchanges.

edit: TRIGGER WARNING

yup i hate coinbase because of their history and actions.

but guess which exchange i tell starting btc noobs who arent very computer literate and even less cyber security conscious? yup. coinbase. for the simple reason that they are legit from a usa law point of view.  it offers yubikey security.
accounts can be transferred to surviving spouse or executor if the account holder dies.

Not only coinbase most of the centralized exchange is evil. Another top-tier exchange binance is being accused of money laundering through hacking and exploits. I can see why binance has become a hub for hackers and scammers. I know centralized exchange offers many services which make our life easy when using crypto but it gives them more chances to do illegal activities.

There are rumors that Formar Binance's CEO will be imprisoned for money laundering charges.
787  Economy / Economics / Re: You win or you learn. on: June 23, 2022, 08:49:51 AM
-snip-
1. Money management is very important. It is better to have some plan than no plan.
2. Opportunity will come again and again so do not FOMO.
3. Anything could go to zero no matter how big the project is(Luna disaster).

-snip-

1. Obviously money management is very important. But i would say it is better have a no plan than have some random bad plans (investing in shitcoins).
2. Wrong. Opportunities won't always visit you again. There will be a time where you missed something that will never return. You will never have the opportunity to invest in bitcoin when it was only a dollar or two. You won't get another opportunity to invest one dollar in shiba inu and become a millionaire overnight. But yes, you shouldn't FOMO.
3. Anything can go to zero, but there are projects that are very obvious that won't make it. People did warn about Luna before.

1. How do you know a plan is bad or good? It can only be justified once executed. When you have no plan you are not an investor anymore. You are a gambler and your only hope is to do nothing but pray. So if a plan proved to be bad then that can be revised and tweaked to be better.

2. It's possible same opportunity won't come twice but there will be plenty of other opportunities that will change your life. Example: Everybody now wishes they brought BTC at 0.25$ when it was early. That opportunity was one time but BTC goes to 20k then 3k was an opportunity, BTC again goes to almost 70k, and now sitting below 20k it is an oportunity. You just need to have the eyesight to identify the opportunity. Buying BTC at 0.25$ would be more profitable but buying BTC at 3k later also made a hell lot of money.

788  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mistake I made till now investing on crypto projects. on: June 21, 2022, 03:07:51 PM
Very informative post a newcomer getting some new messages from your post.just want to say before investing we should make justify.

This post was actually for newcomers who invest blindly ignoring many facts. Many of them came from the stock and forex market and they think this is the same here too. There are so many things that need to keep in mind when investing in a crypto project and I think I have mentioned most of them. If you face anything new which is not mentioned in the OP then mention it will add the end of my post.

Not only for newcomers there are still people in the Crypto space with years of experience still fall into poor projects because of not checking on what's on you've posted, I think you covered everything, sometimes we forgot the basics because of the hype we become blinded by the hype and FOMO we know there's a risk but we prefer to proceed to hope to make a profit and exit until we realize that it's too late to exit and we become bagholders of useless tokens.

If you made the same mistake again and again then you were not giving your attention. We need to make mistakes to harden our knowledge and will but the truth is nobody like to do mistakes even me. But nobody is born with skill and knowledge, right? And its human nature that they learn from mistakes. So I want to take it in a positive way so that it won't influence my will of work.

Any changes to the Bot? I was using this bot for sometimes but today I saw it stop giving me notifications. Any suggestion or fix about it?
790  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tronlink / Coinbaby - SCAM? on: June 21, 2022, 02:15:25 PM
Hello, I made some profits on the trading platform TRONLINK (https://coinbaby.me). They want me now to pay my personal income taxes otherwise my USDT funds are blocked there, i.e. I cannot transfer them back to BINANCE to change them into FIAT.

I have used a browser extension TRC-20 crypto wallet called Tronlink. I do not it is the same Tronlink you are talking about. I visited the site link you have provided and I can see it's a dex that wants your wallet connection. They probably used a template to create this site through WordPress. You have said you made a profit there which means you have already given wallet connect there. It will be better to change your wallet address by creating a new one. They probably already got your privet key. Be careful when connecting your crypto wallet to an unknown dex.
791  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FAKE TESLA Coin ICO on: June 21, 2022, 02:03:04 PM
What happened: I have just seen another FAKE ICO related Tesla coin. Of course they are not running anything like that and this is just another scam. Don't waste your time/money in such stupid things!

I first saw an ad promotion about Tesla selling their tokenonnFacebookk. I was surprised to see this and after doing some investigation found that it's a scam. DM to provoke someone to click a link or join a fake token sale becomes an old method. I doubt anyone still fall for these type of offers in DM.

But scammers now using money to promote their fake token sales ads through social media(Especially on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).

We broke $21k... it was a nice few seconds  Cry

These won't last long for sure. The market looks still weak and a flash crash towards 14k is expected to liquidate some VCs and Institution's positions. If wants to take a risk now go ahead.
793  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign: The lowest and highest payment BTC and USD in 2013-2022 on: June 20, 2022, 03:35:13 PM
This place could be a dead cat if the new bounty campaign stop coming. Thought this is the best place but this is not the only place now where people can discuss or learn about bitcoin.
There might be a few active forum like altcointalk, bitcoin garden or cryptotalk but at the end of the day, if you need something to discuss with the veteran or if you need some important info or if you want a healthy discussion, you must be here in bitcointalk. I have browsed all the other forum back in the day but I didn’t find them with enough resource for learning about cryptocurrency. Bitcointalk is the only place with a lot of resources on cryptocurrency and I believe, regardless of the presence of signature campaign, it will still be the most resourceful place for cryptocurrency.

I didn't mention another forum either and I know this is the best place to get information about cryptocurrency but there are other places where these things can be learned too. Most of the exchanges now have educational materials. Even coinmarketcap, coingeko is also increasing their educational content from where a new user can learn about crypto. I know this place wasn't created for earning purposes but earning opportunity makes this place more attractive for many users.
794  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign: The lowest and highest payment BTC and USD in 2013-2022 on: June 20, 2022, 03:08:57 PM
I knew there was a drop-off from 2018 to 2020, though obviously I didn't have it represented in graph form.  You could just tell from the Services section that sig campaigns were in danger of dying off, because there weren't as many new ones being started.

Again, props to OP for compiling the charts.

The altcoin section is full of shit projects. Recently some new member emerges from the grave who doesn't value signature campaign and most of their marketing is based on social media. USDT and BTC paid campaign are very low in the service section and most of the existing project is old. If members lose earning opportunities then most people will leave these places expect those who are really here for the BTC not earning.

This place could be a dead cat if the new bounty campaign stop coming. Thought this is the best place but this is not the only place now where people can discuss or learn about bitcoin.

795  Economy / Economics / Re: You win or you learn. on: June 20, 2022, 02:16:57 PM
The truth is that if you are in control you win all the time without losing.  This can only possible in a Perfect World where you actually know things ahead of time and have control over them.

A perfect world exists but is often denied by those living in the imperfect world. It's a World ruled by the CREATOR of all things, and it exists on Earth.

Why do we need a perfect world? Those who fear changes complained about the world not being perfect. Changing the world is a hard thing so why don't you pick an easy one. Change yourself you will get a perfect world.

New things are good because they bring more opportunity and knowledge.
796  Economy / Economics / Re: You win or you learn. on: June 20, 2022, 11:52:18 AM
The book "Rich dad, poor dad" isn't about trading. AFAIK, it was about buying and selling real estate and gathering more assets, while reducing your liabilities. It was about having a good cashflow and multiple income sources, while trying to reduce your costs. Crypto trading has little to do with this. Of course, Robert Kiyosaki is teaching the good old "failure is a big part of success" common sense stuff. You don't really need this book, in order to know that losing and failing is a big part of life and you can't win all the time. Opportunities come and go and losing or wasting an opportunity shouldn't make you frustrated. Everything can be summarized in one sentence- Put your ego under control and stay humble.

It is about investing actually not speculations. I know I can not relate this book to crypto but there is some advice that can be followed in every part of our life. I mentioned that book name because that title is from there and which I think is very true. This quote influences my thinking about life and makes my thoughts more positive.

Not only that there is some other quote from that book that changes my thoughts too. Like this one" Those who try to avoid failure avoided success too."  Many times I didn't do some work because of fear of failure which later proved beneficial. I knew these quotes before that failure is the step toward success but it didn't shake my mind that much till I read that again in that book.

Lessons can experience can be learned from anywhere and reprogrammed in other circumstances. So I do not mind gaining knowledge no matter what it is about.
797  Economy / Economics / You win or you learn. on: June 20, 2022, 06:24:04 AM
Recently I was reading one of the famous books called " Rich Dad and Poor Dad". This quote just changed my thoughts and reduces my depression. Like many others, I myself also made a huge loss in this recent BTC crash.

When I first came to the crypto world I start with only a laptop. This was all I have and I made a good amount of money because of the last bull season. But because of poor money management and lack of experience, I took a big amount of loss too. I do make some losses but the lesson learned is priceless.

1. Money management is very important. It is better to have some plan than no plan.
2. Opportunity will come again and again so do not FOMO.
3. Anything could go to zero no matter how big the project is(Luna disaster).

Now I know how cash circulates into the crypto markets. I know fundamentals are the most important part of a project. I again could do mistakes in the next bull season but I will be more mature than to handle the situation. I do take some losses but the lesson it gave me would save a hell lot of money in the future.
798  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 20, 2022, 06:04:27 AM
When gold prices (in dollars) soared from 70s stagflation, then crashed, was it smart to sell the top?  OK, how do you know what the top is?

In gold’s extreme, extended bear market, after it started crashing, was it smart to sell at $800?  $700?  $600?  Selling for $600 and later re-buying for $300, you could have doubled your gold holding.

...$500?  $300?  $260?  Whoops!  Selling for ~$260 (IIRC*) would have been mindrusting gold.

Holding gold is always safe, if your biggest concern is not to be stuck with less gold than you have already accumulated.

Holding BTC is always safe, if your biggest concern is not to be stuck with less BTC than you have right now.

*  Numbers here are tossed off the top of my head to make a point.  If someone corrects any errors as Jay corrected my recollection of when Slaying the Bearwhale occurred, then... eh.  Here, at least, it will not change my point.

So you are saying investors should only accumulate gold or BTC to increase their portfolio? If you do not extract some profits from your gains and reinvest them in that same assets or something else then you are not an investor. You are more like a collector. Professional investors always circulate their money in the different asset classes. If you do not know what the bottom or upper limits are then follow the market sentiments.

If you think of yourself as an investor you must keep track of the market about what's going on. Many people think a bear market is a downside of our economy but wise investors knows this is their opportunity. You can get things with a high discount price in a bear market so buy when everyone is selling and start selling when everyone is buying. This is that simple if you do not know about price actions charts or fundamental analysis.

Semantic game, No True Scotsman, and an absurdity:  What you mean is that I am not a trader.  You are repudiating the whole concept of “buy and hold”.  (Also, you implicitly figure PnL in dollars—not in real money, i.e. BTC.  For my part, I sometimes spend BTC on investments to make more BTC.  Figuring PnL in a depreciating, perpetually devaluing currency is extremely stupid.)

You say “collector” as if there were something wrong with that.  It is funny, because I have called myself a “collector” in my own thoughts about investment strategies.  My explicit goal is to collect and to accumulate valuable things, and to keep them.

In stocks, would you call Warren Buffet “not an investor”?  Buffet is a damnfool about Bitcoin; he should stick to what he knows, and he does know stocks!  He is the most famous (and only most famous) investor who takes the extreme buy-and-hold approach to stocks.

I call the extreme buy-and-hold approach to investing:  If you buy something good, the best time to sell is never.  Selling is an admission that you made a bad call when you bought—either you bought too much of something that’s not good enough (so, reduce your exposure to it), or you bought something bad (get out! run away!).  It happens.  Nobody makes the right call on 100% of investment decisions.

Of course, it is not the only good approach.  But in my opinion, it is the only good approach that >99% of people can achieve.

I can see you agree with me here. The basic rules of investment are circulating your wealth to make more assets. It doesn't matter whether you are converting your BTC in fiat or not. The primary approach here is to increase your wealth. This is the main goal of investment and every successful investor do. The market goes ups and downs which gives investors the opportunity to increase their wealth. It is not a straight lineup. If you are not circulating your assets to buy other assets then you are just ignoring the basic rules of investment. I think nobody has unlimited money so that they can only buy and hold.

Do you know how warren buffet like investors makes a hell lot of money? They buy small stocks or real estate when the market is declining and sell it when it's strong. The rule is this simple. Then they buy bigger stock or real estate. They start small and increase that same money through investment. They are billionaires not because they only keep buying stock and hold it. No one has an unlimited bucket of money. They are billionaires because they know how to reinvest.

If your intention is not to sell ever then it is not your wealth. We do not have unlimited lifetimes.
799  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ranking up is possible! 2900 Merits earned in less than 12 months! My 11 Hints! on: June 19, 2022, 12:04:30 PM

Although we all have different ways and you could have slow growth in comparison to him but you should not loose hope and continue your way but it must be productive and effective for the forum as well as you that will help you to grow on the forum with merits on your profile. So keep your work high and hopes less and results would come eventually to you.

Different ways are the key. You don't have to walk in my footsteps (something I can't particularity suggest for you)  if you aren't keen on working on knowledge.
If you look closely at my history anyway you'ìll find that I spent many months on the forum almost inactive. Only later, once I found the way to contribute to the community, did that meriting start happening.

Maybe you could suggest to new users about your research methods. How do you gather information and where to look for it. I have seen many news users try to contribute to this community and they just wasting their time on old things which have already been shared or discussed a lot of times. They are just stuck with a blank mind because they do not know what they should be looking for or where they will get something unique that could be shared.
