781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: September 09, 2023, 10:03:10 AM
There is no difference if you are a woman or a man in gambling.. but the majority of people say that men spend more time gambling than women because the male gamblers even if they don't eat until dawn, it seems like none of them are hungry. awake tired as if hagard
How can you think like this, of course there is a striking difference between female gamblers and male gamblers because the thought patterns and hormones between men and women have been different since ancient times.

In fact I once read that women are more likely to play bingo and slots because they are trying to entertain themselves and also vent any frustration that may occur so it is not surprising that we see women playing slots or bingo more often than men.

However, the interesting thing is that to treat gambling addicts, both men and women, the method is the same, they must be supported by family, partners or taken to a rehabilitation center when they have entered the severe category.

It's funny how Rickiedx thinks but I don't blame him, we all have our different point of view to everything, honestly, both male and female have different motivations and preferences with gambling, men are most likely to gamble frequently because male are the man of the house, they have responsibilities on their neck, some female does to but the level of responsibilities on a male's neck is bigger.

I believe females are most likely to gamble occasionally, and male are most likely to gamble frequently.

As a male you need to make money every week, constant money is what makes things going for male due to responsibilities, this is why I always warn men about gambling, as it's not a worthy way of making constant income.

To me I believe gambling should be engaged with on occasionally, it's better to focus more on something that brings you a steady income, no luck needed but your hand work, it's the only thing that won't deceive you.

My final answer is men are closer to the risk of gambling problems like addiction than women because men are mostly motivated to gamble and take higher risks than women.
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What's your actual dca strategy? on: September 09, 2023, 09:20:04 AM
Instead of just DCAing because you can afford that tinny amount every month well there is a risk you probably don't know about.

Assuming you plan to invest for 12 months by dollar cost averaging, and you keep buying 200$ worth of bitcoin every week or month, do you know that there will be times where the market will go up rather than down? DCAing at such times are increasing your risks.

There is a saying that, stay away from the green candles, do not chase them.

There is DCAing when the market is going Up and DCAing when the market is going down, well I have been investing since last year now and my DCA on Bitcoin only happens when there is a bigger dip and so far it's my best plan yet.

What is your own DCA strategy like? Investing based on value averaging? Dollar cost averaging? I think it's better to have some dollars awaiting your buying signal and buy the better dips.

Monthly investment is the best frequency to some people, they advice to never delay any investment, are you one of those people? Regarding of the price action of that month?
783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Faruk Ozer, turkey crypto whizz sentenced to 11,196 years in jail? Wow! on: September 09, 2023, 08:22:17 AM
Money laundering, fraud cases and organized crime? I don't see any reason to feel pity for this fella, I reaped what he sow, I prefer spending some time thinking about those people he defraud of their hard-earned money, some people still invest more money than they should in crypto these days, they like risking it all, and imagine they meet this bad fate of Thodex founder?

This is what Sam Bankman Fried or whatever his name is should face, but the US isn't Turkey anyway, the laws and upright of every countries are different, and yes Sam did used FTX customers fund to help some politicians, maybe the reason why this Thodex founder is facing this charges is because he took all the money for himself, he funded no politicians.

The most corrupted people are in politics, if not I don't see why FTX case hasn't turned to something similar to this, anyway.

Same thing is happening with Fiat too and I am sure that it happens more with Fiat than Crypto, because these criminals have understood that crypto money is traceable.

Whatever this man did tarnished his own image not that of crypto, because there is crime in everything that's created to make life easier for the people.

784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is KYC mandatory in CEX? on: September 07, 2023, 08:13:51 AM
Another thing is, when it comes to airdrops the owner of that project has some way to prevent duplicates and one of them is to make their participants do KYC in order to prevent them from getting double rewards or sometimes this is their way to not distribute the rewards for others because in the first place, they tricked their participants and they just implemented these rules in the last minutes when they are about to distribute the rewards for airdrops or bounties.
Yes, in the past many new projects that introduced airdrops end up asking participants to pass KYC before they can get the free coins, but there are few projects that collected KYC information from participants and they still don't give up the free coins and tokens, makes me wonder what they did with the KYC details they took from people.

I was against KYC in the past but not anymore, there is no easier way to get rid of money laundering, and some bad criminal behaviors in the crypto space than using KYC, if there is no KYC the crypto mess would be more than what it is today.

785  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is safest wallet for bitcoin long term holding? on: September 06, 2023, 10:53:24 AM
Electrum wallet is still good for new crypto investors if they can't afford an open-source hardware wallet like Trezor but a hardware wallet is still better and more secured than every other wallets available, I have an Electrum wallet that I still use since 2016 and till today I still use it to move my Bitcoin around.

I will like to warn you though, do not keep a lot of money on any wallet apart from hardware wallets, if you can afford to invest a thousand dollars on Bitcoin you can afford a hardware wallet easily.

Keep this in mind and make sure it's part of your plan in the neartes future, as many people somehow feel relaxed after using mobile wallets for a while, thinking nothing can go wrong with the wallet.
786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When to invest in bitcoin on: September 06, 2023, 10:04:15 AM
Since nobody can predict what will happen to the price of Bitcoin tomorrow, I also believe that it is okay to invest now. Some people may believe that the price of Bitcoin will eventually decline, but it may never reach someone desired level. As a result, it is best to preserve the existing price and subsequently resume price increases. The best way to reduce risk in a bitcoin investment is through DCA, which involves buying small amounts consistently. I'd like to say that buying bitcoin at a low price is always the best, but the question now is how we can get the chance to do so because that is always the ideal low target.

Everyone will share their views some will be in favor of Bull season whereas other will says against bitcoin but real knowledge is unknown yet because we are all humans and we cannot know about future. We can share only the benefits of bitcoin because convincing others are very difficult task so if someone wants bitcoin and believe on its success then he will not be effected by fake news.

Next year bitcoin will be pump and its holders will be able to take advantage because the lower price for months also occurred before but people with sharp mind did not loss hope as a consequence of which they become a constant participants of bitcoin now.

The bear market can be a good time to invest in crypto or bitcoin but if your goal is to invest in this market for the long term, i recommend investing with a dollar cost average(DCA). Because you never know when you will need money and when you invest in a bear market, there is a high probability that your investment will decline. During this period, you may need money urgently and you may face big losses.

To avoid this, you can buy Bitcoin periodically. This way you won't have to make timely trades in the market. It doesn't matter when you invest in Bitcoin with DCA. Because your capital is spread over predefined intervals, your purchases during the investment period will bring the average price down to a more reasonable level. I recommend investing with DCA.

The reason for DCA is not because maybe you will need money, that's a different problem, the advantage of gradual DCA is because of volatility in the market, no one knows the top and no one knows the bottom, that's why DCA is very good.

It safe you from going all into an investment where as more volatile attacks the asset, if you will need money you shouldn't invest that money into crypto in the first place, crypto investment is very risky that's why you must invest money you won't need any time sooner.

If you are very careful with yourself and your investment you should always have emergency funds somewhere, and you should also have some money aside to run your daily living and responsibilities, I believe this is the right way to invest in any assets.
787  Economy / Gambling / Re: COINS.GAME | THE MOST REWARDING CRYPTO CASINO on: September 06, 2023, 09:19:07 AM
Welcome to the forum coins.game

You have so many games, and so many options for crypto deposits. You also have slots from no limit city providers, it is always interesting to play slots there, although it is difficult but once get maxwin the satisfaction will come

It’s more of a jurisdictional thing for most casinos. It’s not like they don’t understand the need to be versatile across more nations and getting more patronage but, there is always a niche to it and the level of operational rights the company can get within a place as well as license to operate. Surely, they’ve got some reasons to there restrictions and it’s normal.

All casinos definitely want to have lots of users from various countries, but there are countries that prohibit gambling activities so casinos that have a license will comply. Maybe that's what coin.games do. But not to worry, a VPN is the solution  Cheesy. Hope they don't ban users from using VPN while playing on coin.game
VPN is still not an option for me to gamble on online casinos, if we can exclude all countries that put ban on gambling I am sure that the list of countries that don't care are much more in numbers than those that put ban on gambling.

Also, even if there is a ban how will the leaders or governments of such countries know what their citizens are doing in their rooms behind every close doors? If the ban thing is real then it will only work on using Fiat to gamble since that money will come from bank account direct, it will also affect offline gambling dens in such countries, that's all.

I will also like to know the names of countries that put ban on gambling because I believe the numbers won't be much, maybe max of four or five? Now we all know how many countries are around this world, how will this affect gambling in anyway? None, some countries have gambling nature in them and they are the most active gamblers over others, I believe USA is one of such countries.
788  Economy / Gambling / Re: (duelbits.com) Is it possible for duelbit.com to retrieve my wrong deposit ? on: September 06, 2023, 08:02:39 AM
I can see it that Duelbit support USDT, but likely it is on ERC20 network.

Which means Duelbit is not supporting USDT on TRC20? If so, that is not good at all.

It has been August 2 that their official account on this forum is active: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2859659

But you can PM the account, maybe he will get a notification about it.
Luckily DuelBits have an ANN on the Bitcointalk forum, it will be much troubling if this casino is one of those that are not available on the forum, this is why choosing from the list of online casinos on here is the best.

I don't want to believe that this problem is unsolvable, I have made such mistake with a few crypto exchanges before and only two helped when I contacted them through telegram channel, but I was forced to pass KYC verification first, and the amount is not even that much, around 196$ at the time, they refund the money and told me to never repeat such mistake again.

On the Huobi exchange, I made the same mistake, This exchange has a limit point of deposit for every asset available on the exchange, so I deposited below that amount and the fund never reached my account, I contacted them and they said there is nothing they can do about it.

Huobi is considered a big crypto exchange, yet they can't help me out, I think this is a form of punishment for those who lack patience when operating any platform, I learned from my mistake but honestly, they should be able to help.

I hope the same thing won't happen with this OP's case, your best shot is to drop this issue on their ANN and wait for a reply, all the best.
789  Economy / Gambling / Re: No KYC Crypto Casinos & Sites | NoToKYC.com | Exclusive Bonuses on: September 05, 2023, 11:24:41 AM
I thought NoTOKYC is an actual online casino at first, anyways.

The link consists of few online casinos that doesn't require KYC before anyone can start gambling, thanks for the information but the problem is this list will go down in few years maybe, and that's because many no kYC casinos have started to ask for KYC verification, there is no way to evade this unless the casino is not popular and well successful yet.

Some times I am even thinking that No KYC is a marketing scheme to attract people, because people do love to gamble without any verification, but running the casino for long is going to be a problem when the regulators come for the casino, there will be nothing else the casino team can do than to proceed with verification or risk getting fined and charges.

My advice to everyone reading this is that casinos are not very far from forcing KYC verification on customers some days, enjoy these while they last.

It's not the casino's fault, it's just the way things are in this world, The government always wants a piece of every pie.
790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is actually a Bitcoin investor on: September 05, 2023, 09:09:49 AM
Trading shouldn't be confused with investing, there are two types of crypto investors, the short term investors and the long term investors.

Short term investors buy some Bitcoin or crypto with the hope of making some percentages in a very limited period of time, for example in a few months, when that time comes they take profits and move out of the market until they are ready for another round, mostly after another dip occurs.

Long term investors are those who willing believe in the money making aspect and also the technology, they are ready to make money from Bitcoin and they are also a long term believers, such people will always stay even after they sold their bags, they focus on having more quantities of Bitcoin as year's go by.

Traders cares about price action only, through the fluctuation of prices they make their calls and if they are right they go home with profits, there is no need to wait for weeks, months or years to make money with trading, price actions is what feeds traders, they are not investors.
791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government vs Bitcoin on: September 05, 2023, 08:44:01 AM
Bitcoin hasn't harmed the government, but the innovation that is in bitcoin makes most governments afraid. Governments are afraid because they can't control bitcoin, of course that has made some of them ban it. But I am grateful that my country's government has not banned bitcoin completely, I mean bitcoin can be traded even though it is not allowed to use it as legal tender.

The policies taken by the government towards bitcoin are sometimes detrimental. Governments tend to say something negative about bitcoin, but they're basically just lying and pretending not to know. Bitcoin is just like any other currency, it can be misused for whatever reason. But that's not a good reason to ban a currency.
Bitcoin was banned in my country and later the ban was lifted but I don't trust them because while the ban was ongoing the government ordered all banks to block every bank accounts that have once traded with crypto and Bitcoin one way or the other, later many Bank accounts got frozen, I guess it's better to secretively trade Bitcoin, if you are already using your Bank account for crypto trades you could be in trouble in future.

Government consists of smart people that's why I don't believe they lack understanding about Bitcoin, they understand Bitcoin perfectly and they are in fear of what Bitcoin could be in the future, they want the world's attention on something else, not Bitcoin.

They are also pissed that they can't control Bitcoin, this is an innovation that should have been created by the government themselves, I believe that's what's in their mind, instead a random unknown person created Bitcoin.

792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using Statistical Data to Win Sports Betting Picks on: September 04, 2023, 08:23:51 AM
It's just a part of been a smart ass gambler

At least you are different from those that gambles based on what people tell them.

I can still see people who are not into sports placing bets on UFC and Football leagues.

The thing is sports data won't tell you what will happen in a match tomorrow.

You will only stay ahead of some people who have no clue.

You are still at risk of losing your money because you don't know how the team or the fighter will play it's game.

Just learn to be more responsible with gambling, every other things comes after this.
793  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help us build the greatest crypto casino on: September 04, 2023, 07:19:14 AM
There is nothing new that gamblers want from new online casino that's not already out there today, and as for someone who is just starting up their casino I believe they should hire experts in the field of marketing and setting up a good casino.

I can't tell you to start making people win more than losing on your casino, if that's possible you will win over all customers of Stake and other popular online casinos but that's not possible or is it?

Just give up the best customer services, gambling bonuses, fast withdrawal after a jackpot and fun games.

There is one thing that's still missing, something I still can't find in gambling till date, Maybe that's because there is none yet, gambling straight from our crypto wallet and withdrawing instantly, something very close to connecting your wallet to decentralized exchanges kinda operation.
794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: September 04, 2023, 06:34:31 AM
But this does not mean that everyone cannot control the gambling activities they do. I'm sure when someone is aware of the losses in the gambling activities they are doing, they will slowly try to control them. And be a responsible gambler. And it's just a matter of time, the sooner he realizes the "loss" he is experiencing, the sooner he will try to control himself.
I have to disagree with this. Addiction isn't something you can control or choose to have it or not. Anyone is prone to addiction but on different levels. It depends on how vulnerable the person in question is. Everyone know that gambling is not always profitable and that the chances of losing are higher than those of losing but they keep playing till they become addicts. Knowing the risks doesn't exempt you from becoming an addict.
From someone who have two brothers in the family that are gambling addicts, I will like to correct you that not everyone knows that gambling is going to make them to lose money over and over

I have a brother that was introduced to gambling by his school friends, they just introduced him to gambling and he had no clue about how one will mostly keep losing to the casino, he just went ahead and threw all he can.

It was when he kept losing that I heard about his addiction, I was the one that explained to him how casinos are wired, gambling only benefits the makers themselves, not the gambler, I told him to start using what he can afford to lose and when he win he should stop gambling.

Right now he is no more into gambling, but he still gambles once in a while, but at least he understands how casino and gambling works, but honestly not everyone understands this, most people knows after they lost a lot of money or after they become addicted.
795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I choose Bitcoin (and you'll must choose it too) on: September 04, 2023, 05:57:15 AM
If you look to the press to get news you're pretty lost, I hope you know that.

Depending on what the press is feeding people, I checked the link out and it's clean, the information on that link is accurate so why are you saying if someone look the press to get news they are lost?

The first time I bought Bitcoin was in 2017 and I summoned my courage to hold because of the past Bitcoin price action, such things give encouragement, there is nothing wrong with looking at the past data history of Bitcoin.

We are all different, some people don't need proof to keep believing in Bitcoin, and as we head into the final battle of the bears, faith will be shaken, doubts will arise and only the strong will prevail, in these cold ❄️ times we can only hope for the best.
796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Constant wins in the casino for several days, then constant losses. Noticed?! on: September 03, 2023, 10:10:44 AM
There are things many people seem to forget about gambling and casinos.

1. Whatever you do it's for the casino's best interest.

2. Know your gambling limit.

3. When you win it doesn't mean you outsmart the casino.

4. Learn to take your leave when you win or you lose all your limited gambling money.

5. Gamble often to limit your chances of addiction.

6. When you start feeling like borrowing money, there is a chance you are already addicted, Remind yourself and stop, using only what you have at hand and that's if you are willing to lose that amount to gambling.

7. Gambling will forever remain a game of luck, the more you accept this the more cautious you will be with gambling.
797  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin, the only thing that stands on its lane. on: September 03, 2023, 09:12:55 AM
In just August, DeFi was exploited and resulted to over $16 million losses.

What I used to read before was annually, but DeFI exploits are like almost daily and it is now monthly report  Grin

Another DEFI was known in August 27. Nearly $900000 was stolen.: https://cointelegraph.com/news/balancer-protocol-exploited-for-900k-as-defi-hacks-mount-finance-redefined

Do not worry, another DeFi exploits are coming this month.

DeFi which was not even decentralized was created for hackers to enjoy.

I am not protecting defi projects, the majority of them are scam, I do believe that Bitcoin is more reliable than other decentralized practitioners, they are all liars and that's why hacks are happening with DeFi, they can't be caught and they can do all they want, that's why my topic said that Bitcoin is the only true decentralized project that stands on its lane.

Bitcoin protects it's investors, there is never a hack on bitcoin blockchain, but because many projects are ready to deceive the masses in the name of DeFI and Decentralization that's why some people believe them.

We all want decentralization on crypto space to be more than just Bitcoin only, but the truth is I believe there won't be another.
798  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are some cryptos decentralized while some are not? on: September 03, 2023, 07:58:47 AM
This is the problem with new crypto investors, we want another Bitcoin that's decentralized because we believe that we are too late to the Richie of Bitcoin, Decentralized is not something any developer can just come out and say they can offer, it's probably not true.

Soon you will see them asking for KYC or some type of verification, I can use Ethereum as an example, when it was running the PoW algorithm I believe it's another Bitcoin with smart contract features but after they start saying they are going proof of stake I started to hate the project.

A project starts with a feature that many adopters adopted it for that reason and along the way the project decide to switch into something that looks more centralized, isn't that a betrayal? Bitcoin is the only coin that stays the same.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Socialtournaments-A way to stop gambling addiction on: September 03, 2023, 07:12:34 AM
What is damaged can't be repaired and when it comes to human, we are given the gift of repentance and the gift of will, if you are willing to do anything you will end up doing it, when it comes to gambling addict, there is no amount of remedy, strategy or treatment that can cure your addiction, it's something that's ongoing in the mind and your thoughts, if you can't fix yourself there is nothing that can get you fixed.

These platforms that offers help can only be effective on someone that's just starting out his or her gambling, when they know what's ahead of them they can always evade the bad side of gambling, but for someone who is already an addict, only such person can cure it's addiction.

There was someone who I knew, he was a gambling addict, his mother took him to church and the pray every day for him, this went on for months, and when he got back home things looked normal and he at one point said he will never gamble again, until all eyes are no more on him, today he is no more alive, he died with many debt on his neck.
800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has your Responsible Gambling had any of these Effects on You? on: September 02, 2023, 10:27:58 AM
This is not a case of being addicted to gambling. There are people who are actually in control of their gambling habits or addiction. For instance, they do not gamble beyond their budget; they commit an hour or two to gambling per week or twice per week and strictly adhere to it, among all other things. We have heard and read stories here and out there about how gambling ruins lives, careers, relationships, throws people into debt, and more. But my question is, could this be happening to everybody? Has your responsible gambling habit had any positive effects on your relationships with your spouse, kids, parents, and others? Has it improved your finances and helped you stay out of debt? Has it improved your mental health and well-being in any way? Has it been able to help you meet an urgent need? Let's discuss.
Filling up the urgent needs from gambling? This never happened to me before, The money I made from gambling came unexpectedly and since my business is what I use to take good care of myself and my spouse I do not expect anything from gambling, I only gamble when I have extra money on me that has no other purpose.

I used to gamble with whatever I had until I learned the act of responsible gambling, honestly, it's not easy to be a responsible gambler unless you are not already addicted to gambling.

How you make money in your life always has its impact too, if you are making money as a married person, you will have enough to fill every hole, like responsibility in your home, your spouse and kids, your investment, and your gambling too.

Whatever I plan on doing though, gambling comes last.
