For me, ever since I started to manage the amount of money I put into my gambling account there have indeed been some changes. In terms of debt, even when I go to my account to gamble without having a budget I have never been in debt, although I can be online and spend so much more than an average gamble would spend on his/her gambling account b it since I started to manage funds and stopped going above my allocated amount I have been able to make good use of those money that was supposed to have been wasted trying to win a slot game or mines.

For the mental health, I’m no gambling addict but I do get the fact when you go online to gamble and later find out that all through your section you were only able to win a few games and the rest were kissing streaks you’d get depressed to some extent and some might even decide to gamble more thinking they would be able to win back what they have lost without them realising that they are chasing their losses and since I learnt the risk of one chasing losses and how to avoid it I have become better than before.

Right now, all I do is to go to my account i.e when I have a spare cash that I can afford to lose place some bets on  some games have fun and leave I don’t really have any other motive towards gambling as at now so whenever I’m lucky to come out at the end of my section with some profit I just spend it on other things.

Not directly, but because i did not use the money necessary and for savings on gambling. That is a positive effect.

I think this is the question. Of course when you do things in moderation and responsibly, you wouldn't have problems with yourself or other people because you have balanced it out. You can only be a responsible gambler if you are not an addict, which means you will have control of yourself, your activities and relationship. You will also have a budget for gambling and you will keep to it. For example I get satisfied with my budget even if I exhausted it without winning and I move on very well with myself and people around also until the next time I decide to. It is fun to gamble responsibly because you wouldn't have to start chasing your loses which is a major reason for addiction.

Obviously yes, financial and with my overall functioning as an individual. I get to enjoy playing without stressing that much because of losses unlike before when I wast too hyped and thrilled of winning bigtime. Humble enough, I think this is happening to me and I'm proud of myself if I can adhere to the not get addicted to it. If I lost one or two I'll tell myself maybe I'll have to stop for a week or two then come back later on. I think it improve on my finances especially if I win lol.

My responsible gambling doesn’t improve my personal life because I don’t experience any problem regarding to gambling to begin with. The only benefits I can get on being in total contral to my gambling activities was not being too upset whenever I lose my bankroll since I’m on,y using the money that I allocated for gambling.

Other people having trouble to cope with their losses because they are using money that is not supposed to be wasted on gambling. Interesting topic, I’m looking forward to see personal experience of someone who improve their life by being responsible gambler.

Mental health and well being can be something that gambling responsibly can contribute to greatly. Gambling is a fun activity can serve as a stress reliever against mental exhaustion from work and other issues, and if you are doing it right and responsibly, it can be a source of a feel good feeling to you knowing that you are gambling responsibly and it is not causing any issues for you or your immediate family.

Sports will always be a family affair. This strengthens the family ties especially if you have a boy who is a fan of a particular sport like soccer. If you are a sports bettor I guess you can gamble while you can also support your kid. It helps your relationships for sure.

Being a gambler who only engages in sports is somewhat of a kind of gambling responsibly. You have the discipline to only bet on the sports you know and you only do it when there are games.

Not everybody, only for who can't able to control at some point which can happen to anyone because we cannot say for sure that we are in control of ourselves all the time, sometime our emotions can take over the mind.

It doesn't affect anything speaking of myself because I am not spending anything beyond my limit, like spending on expensive wines for once in a while which differs depending on an individual's financial status.

Not, as I am aware of. But it changes many people's financial state for a few which is from zero to millions and for the rest what they had to nothing.

I only used to kill time if I had any so doesn't have anything to do with my mental health and definitely I do not see gambling as an option to get funds for my emergencies, nor anyone should do it.

So far I don't have any problems with my gambling, because I always gamble only on weekends for a few dollars for fun.
Even if I want to play it, because weekends are my time with my wife and children, visiting my parents, hanging out with friends who sometimes don't have time to gamble. And other days I only have time to work and rest, and I have a big difference when I gamble compared to when I don't have a job and when I have a job.
And from all that I concluded and experienced and without stopping the habit of gambling, by having a job or activity that generates income, in this way I can gamble responsibly and work to earn the income that is my responsibility.
And I don't feel any loss either, and if I lose a few bucks, that's normal, because to enjoy the game and sometimes luck comes.

Lately,  people are becoming professionals in their approach to gambling and one of those ways that gamblers maintain this kind of level is for them to set a limit, Just like you said @Gozie51 it is sure that if one does things in operations,  she/he won't have any problem with others even his immediate family as long as you do not allow one activity to overboard the other activities and scheduling time for each activity.

Gambling shouldn't be taken as a way of making passive income,  but to be seen as a means to getting entertained and if your luck shines on one or two occasions to have made a win it should be taken as a bonus rather than being taken as a job which is a risky mentality in the long run.

I have come to realize that gambling multiple times within a week increases your chances of losing all that you have won within the first few games if you are lucky at the early stage to win,  so choosing a lucky day to gamble just once a week is the perfect approach to avoiding loses possibilities.

Most of the losses I have recorded in recent time comes as a result of not withholding myself from continuing gambling when I have already reached my limit in the week.

Not the responsible gambling, but the luck along with it have helped me several times. Why I say it as luck along with responsible gambling is all because of the win that need to be withdrawn or used at the right time. Yes, it has a great impact for me since it all affected the whole me. It makes me disciplined in all areas and makes me more aware of everything around me and that keeps me from getting addicted and become more reliable to my own mistakes and and learn from it. Being responsible in gambling will give you only positive outcome and never a negative things to have.

Gambling has never helped me meet an urgent need, and on the other hand also, it has never put me in dept, in all my years of gambling, it is only once I can say that I lost money that I really regretted, and also affected my family, my business, but not my relationship, it also affected my health since I found myself in the hospital, and the doctor said I had a high blood pressure, this was when I lost over $3000 to sports betting during the 2022 world cup, it's an experience I believe I can never forget as long as gambling is concerned, after this experience, I had to stay away from gambling for 7 going to 8 months, to help myself recover from the shock, also see if I could gather some of those money back since it really affected my business,  good percentage of that money was my business money..

So aside this experience, my gambling life has been relatively smooth , I experience losses and experience wins, gambling has not helped better my life in any way aside just having fun, but then again,  it hasn't made my life worst in any way,  so I guess it's okay to say that I am just neutral when it comes to the negativity and the positivity that comes with gambling.

I'm not sure if you use this banking apps like Opay and Palmpay, that's the app I used in funding sport bets especially Opay, they have lightening payment.That's the best place I put my gambling funds, I don't combine it with my main account because I know myself that I will go beyond my budget if I live everything on the app, this is how I am able to control way of gambling and it's has always help me responsibly without been in debt.

I don't have number a particular number of time to bet but I do have a budget, once I cross that amount for that day(Saturday, Sundays and sometimes Monday), I don't bet again, this has help me and I don't get addicted to gambling no matter the outcome. I sometimes take break when I win something good for that week to cool off because I have noticed that when I win and I don't take break, the joy of the win makes me take wrong decisions in my next bets and usually, all lead to losses.

Concerning relationship, I'm single and I don't stay with anyone, my decisions, my calls and my girlfriend don't have time about gambling. She doesn't even like sports no casino games, and I don't bet in her presence, so she hardly notice any gambling activity around me.

Oh definitely! Not only did my responsibility and choice saved me money, but it also prevented me from causing any impact to my relationship with my family and peers.

From what I have gathered, gambling is an act which can cause potential damage if a person becomes addicted to it. By being addicted, the person loses their rational ability to decide and to think clearly, which ultimately leads to poor decision making and management of funds. Like what most have mentioned also, gambling may result to a strained relationship with your colleagues and even your family.

I am lucky enough to have avoided the pitfalls of what have experienced and it is mainly due to threads such as these where people continuously share their horrific experiences.
