781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero under scrutiny of the FBI on: January 31, 2017, 10:04:49 PM
Same story again. Because of dark markets they told same old stuff about bicoin and now about monero. I don't really understand governments here. I mean fiat is used to buy groceries and drugs too for example, but it's normal. Why cryptocurrencies can't be the same ?
782  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CurrencyGuru - Exchange Comparison Website on: January 31, 2017, 10:00:24 PM
I like your idea of website but I don't like the implementation. Website design is good but user selection (that dropdown that pops up) is just awful. Before you advertise your site I think you should work on it a bit more and maybe share it with some friends first so you can get some feedback. I'm telling you this because of first impression that your website will make.
783  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Faucets on: January 31, 2017, 09:55:49 PM
There are no good paying faucets since they got rekt by google adsense some time ago. So if you can really spend 8 hours a day doing something (well in this case sitting at your pc) maybe try to apply for some real job just like LTU_btc said.
784  Economy / Digital goods / Re: BUYING bitcoin sites NOW! on: January 31, 2017, 09:53:46 PM
I think you should clarify a bit more what exactly are you buying. Are you buying done websites with domain and web hositing or you are buying just scripts so you want to put up website yourself ?
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Power hungry gpu or asic miner??!! on: January 31, 2017, 09:51:48 PM
If you are looking for gpu best one would be amd radeon r9 390. In case you are looking for asic a lot of people are selling used antminer s7 really cheap
I searched for the r9 390 but i found that it still holding a good price maybe it's good in gaming. Do you know where i can find those cheap s7. Thx

Well GPU price depends on country. If R9 390 is expensive in your country try looking for older Radeon series cards like 7990. About s7, again I don't really know where are you from but look on ebay, saw a lot of those there
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie wants to create new altcoin on: January 31, 2017, 06:58:06 PM
You can "create" (if you can call it create) your altcoin easily but have you asked yourself what will you do after that ? With none programming knowledge and (probably) little to none knowledge about blockchain technology in general what will you do when something goes wrong ?
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is mining worth anymore? on: January 31, 2017, 06:55:58 PM
Forget GPUs. I don't know how you expect to earn $1100 per year. Even with multiple GPUs, you will only mine maybe 0.00002 BTC per month.

You need an ASIC miner.

Worst advice ever. In order to break even with GPUs you don't need to wait like year or so. You just need few months mining and if you see that it's not going your way you can always sell your GPUs to gamers for almost same price and you did not lose any money.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Burst coin mining on: January 31, 2017, 04:12:12 PM
You can make money with BURST with a lot less than 50 TB - just not a LOT of money.

1 TB of available space you already have is entirely practical.

with 1TB he will earn (with current price) 1.22$ per month. Do you think that is in any way profitable or just worth losing 1TB of storage for ? I mean with that profitability you are just better off looking for nickels on street (and you will probably earn more in a month lol)

Everyone's different.  Maybe he's looking to mine and hold.  BURST's price hasn't exploded yet...but a year ago it was about 19 sats.  This week it's been between 70  - 80 sats.  Where will it be a year from now?  2 - 3 years from now?

Obviously the more HDD space the better though.

I get that, but If that is what OP wants to do he is just better off investing 15$ into BURST since that is the amount he would earn in a year if he would be mining it
789  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-01-31] Federal Reserve Employee Mines Bitcoin Using the Fed’s Server on: January 31, 2017, 03:20:48 PM
Well I guess he is happy now. Time he spent mining (from 2012 to 2014) earned him a lot more than few thousands of dollars that he is fined with that servers, especially since that was not time of ASIC miners (first was here in 2015)

GPUs with 1gb of ram are quite old at this point. I woul't say it would be profitable for you to mine anything since electricity costs would be much higher than what you would get.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin mining with bitcoin appliances on: January 30, 2017, 01:42:11 PM
When you say bitcoin appliances  I assume you mean ASIC miners. And yes you can mine some altcoins with them. Bitcoin use SHA-256 algorithm so any altcoin with same algorithm could be mined with ASIC made to mine bitcoin. For example DigiByte is popular one.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Burst coin mining on: January 30, 2017, 01:40:06 PM
Burst is proof of capacity type mining coin. In order to mine burst you need a lot of storage space. What I can say right now is that if you want to invest say away from burst if you want to make profit. With current price of HDDs it's just not profitable. But if you already have like 50-100TB of storage go for it.
794  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis Mining vs Hashflare Review - Which is better? on: January 30, 2017, 01:37:12 PM
Is there anyone in their right mind that would go for 400+ days ROI when you can build rig yourself cheaper and have ROI time that is about half of what they are offering. I mean I get it that cloud mining was popular at one point but now definitely not.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help for begginer on: January 29, 2017, 09:50:48 PM
Thanks for fast answer ! If I choose to do miinig for Ethereum, what can you recomment me ? Thanks in advance. Can I trust to https://whattomine.com ?

There are no ASIC for ethereum. Best card for mining at the moment is RX 470, but if price difference between RX 470 and RX 480 is not that high go for 480. Other stuff like cpu ram just buy cheapest possible.
796  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-01-26] China Trials Its Own ‘Bitcoin’ But Here’s Why It Will Probably Suck on: January 26, 2017, 10:18:13 PM
Well yeah it will suck at what bicoin is good but transitioning to blockchain technology is not all about anonymity and stuff like that. It may be just better and more secure way to just own and make cash transfers from one person to another (like bank transfers today but better for banks and for us too)
797  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-01-26] Bitcoin On The Rise in India: Steady in Growth... on: January 26, 2017, 10:15:26 PM
Most countries in India are not well developed. Say what you want but in order for Bitcoin to become really popular country needs to be well developed and have to accept bitcoin in as many places as possible. I just don't see that happening in India for quite some time
798  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN]New Product by HaoBTC on: January 26, 2017, 10:07:39 PM
Where it started getting funny is actually the first person to comment who didnt even bother to know what is going on here and concluded that its definitely a cloud mining service and the few others that followed him also didnt bother. But the issue is about the name that anything 'hao' is definitely cloud mining. Actually the GUI of wallet is cool but this Chinese language is where the issue is. I guess things needs to be done about that ven befpre launching at all...

Well they think anything with "hao" is cloud mining because HaoBTC was cloud mining company and this is the product of HaoBTC. So I would't blame them if they don't feel like this company is trusted enough
799  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [BlockTrail] API Issues. on: January 26, 2017, 09:47:19 PM
When you get that message it should refer to the IP that request was sent from (your server IP) but you said you already changed that so my guess is they banned your domain name. Try sending request from local development server and see what would happen
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why use ATI cards for GPU mining? on: January 26, 2017, 09:02:44 PM
As far as I understand, amd cards are preferred in bitcoin mining due to reasons such as optimization, price and mining performances.
At present, however, mining is not done with video cards anymore. But the opposite is the case in sub-mining. I heard that nvidia cards are preferred to amd cards in Altcoin mining.

Is this true?
Bitcoin mining with graphics card stopped when ASIC miners appeared. Now you can still min altcoins(sub-coins lol) with them and it's not true that nvidia cards are preferred. They are better only in Zcash mining, for everything else AMD cards are better
