781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will alts crash again ? on: January 02, 2018, 01:10:35 AM
Will altcoins crash again ?

What do you mean crash? The only altcoins that crash are those that are shitcoins right from the start. Big ones never crash. They do experience turbulence along the way of course. That is a normal part of any crypto coin. Even Bitcoin experienced dumping, how much more to altcoins. But that is not crashing down. That is even a sign that all these coins are being actively traded and there are people who are buying and selling such coins. Those that does not move are not alive. They better be kicked out.
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 2 altcoins to invest in NOW. on: January 01, 2018, 10:10:37 AM
Im currently invested heavily into bitcoin, waves, and shift.

what are 3 good altcoins to look into that will see great return within the next 3-6 months.

I only have Waves and of course Bitcoin. I have heard that Shift is also a good altcoin but I have not yet bought shift yet. I was wondering why you are asking about the 3 good altcoins and never mentioned Ethereum. That is the second coin in the world of crypto right after Bitcoin. And so I would recommend that to you before any other altcoin. And then I would also recommend POWR, one of the most looked after altcoin, as it is predicted to become one of the top in the months to come. And then I would also recommend to you the new and young yet as solid as the old Eidoo (EDO).
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest profit from an AirDrop? on: January 01, 2018, 08:48:41 AM
If I have a few mins to kill during the day (usually when waiting for ETH/BTC to hit the exchanges from my wallet) Ill sign up for an airdrop or two. Most of the ones that I have either haven't hit exchanges or are worth under $1.

TRON (TRX) was the first one for me that actually did something.

500 free TRX peaked at ~$30 and is currently worth ~$19

HODLing!

And for me, your $19 was not worth all your effort actually. I also joined a few airdrops. I have not received anything at all in return except a single coin and that is Ethereum Cash (ECash). Well, what would I expect from a certain airdrop which is not totally original and never even made a unique name? But I still kept my ECash in my wallet. Who knows, it might become big in the future. But since then, I did not join any airdrop anymore. I would rather focus my attention and effort in doing something else more profitable.
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of a new year on market? on: December 31, 2017, 07:29:09 AM
What do you guys think the new year will bring us? Massive price drops or maybe prices going up? Or maybe nothing at all? Please share your expectations with me

The new year will give us a very bullish market. Actually, I was thinking that the very bullish days will come in the early days and weeks of the new year but apparently it happened much earlier. We have to remember that the months of October, November, and December were very good months in terms of growth in cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin. And then later in December, the price drop of Bitcoin came. Therefore, when the correction is over, the bullish trend will definitely follow. And that would be happening in the new year.
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Is Really A Good Investment or Not? on: December 30, 2017, 10:58:23 PM
Hello, Friends...

I Recently listen about the ICO (Initial Coin Offerings)! But I'm confused, Is it a Right Investment or Not?

Anyone Suggests me!

It is a right investment but surely it is not for everyone to invest. Gone are the days when there were only a handful of crap or scam ICOs. It was safer back then to invest in ICOs. And more profitable, too. Right now, aside from the fact that ICOs are swarming the market, a great many of them are also scams, or if not, shallow ones. That is why a thorough research has to be done first before jumping into a decision.
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: further knowledge about stakes on: December 30, 2017, 04:19:09 AM
Usually for bounty campaign now they give 1-5 stakes per week it depends on what rank you are.
Share you're thought guys about this but i think this is not apart of token.
My question is '' what is stakes?'' Cheesy Cheesy

Stakes refer to your share of the bounty that will be distributed to all the campaign participants. It is done in that way so that the computation will be smoother and clearer. Your stakes refer to how many qualified weekly countings or posts you have done. If you have read bounty rules, there are included examples as to how to compute stakes. They are not very hard to understand. Just try computing and you will get it.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Wallets for altcoins on: December 29, 2017, 11:59:36 AM
Which wallets are the best for keeping a wide variety of altcoins?

I think I can recommend to you myetherwallet.com for your altcoins that are on the Ethereum blockchain. There is no problem with myetherwallet because they are not an online wallet that is holding all your private keys and passwords. With myetherwallet, you have your private key, password, and a JSON file which you can keep all by yourself.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell my altcoin for btc for upcoming fork? on: December 28, 2017, 11:58:47 PM
I have an altcoin that im thinking about selling solely to get some of the forked coin segwit2.  From checking online, its around 600 dollars for it.  Are people doing this or not?  Thus selling their altcoin for btc just so they get more segwit2?

Im thinking what about this.  You sell it for btc and you get it.  Then after the fork, you immediately buy back the altcoin you had.

Thoughts on this?

A lot of people are really doing this. They are selling their altcoins and shift to Bitcoin simply to be able to qualify for the free give-away coins after the split is fully implemented. Some are even doing cut loss just so their Bitcoin holdings will increase, hoping to get a bigger slice of the free coins. Thus the usual pump of the coins before a split is done. In any case, however, it is important to weigh in the risks and probable profit.
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the most stable altcoin? on: December 28, 2017, 12:41:48 PM
How do you think what altcoin / token is the most stable one (ofcourse not tether please Smiley )? I'm interested in finding something with decent trade volume where it will be possible to save money doring such strong corrections (like from 20k to 14). Please  bring some arguments to your suggestions and add links to coinmarketcap Smiley

There are a few coins that seldom move either up or down. But if you prefer these coins simply to use them as some sort of a parking lot then go for the stable ones that are also not in danger of getting dumped at any minute. XEM has remained stable for the past several months already. Although it has grown also, in general it is almost always stable at top 9 or 10 or sometimes falling from the top 10 a notch or two. It cannot easily fall as it is essentially a good coin but would not also grow very high due to a relatively weak hyping.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH, to hodl or to invest in something else? on: December 28, 2017, 09:09:11 AM
I know ETH is going to have a good 2018 but surely it is not going to be the best performer out there. It seems kind of a safe bet.

I am very new to crypto so my portfolio is mainly ETH that I gained with mining, airdrops and quick investments.

So I wonder...

Would you hodl ETH? Or would you invest it in other coin/s in the hope of bigger gains?

Would you go for Smart contracts (WAVES; EOS; NEO) or anonimity coins like monero and forks? Or any from the equihash family?

Ethereum is a very solid altcoin. In fact, at least as far as my own opinion is concerned, Ethereum is the leading coin in the altcoin world. It comes second to Bitcoin. However, I believe that it is best to put your investments into different coins. It is actually what the great majority of crypto investors are doing. Adding Waves and Monero, as you mentioned, is a good move. These two coins will be flying higher in the next year.
791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach BTC value ? on: December 28, 2017, 06:15:23 AM
Just wondering if ETH can

It will. We just have to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. The time will definitely come when the price of Ethereum will reach the level of Bitcoin's. It might not happen in the year 2018 but I am more than willing to wait. Being patient will really pay off here in crypto. Remember that all coins here started off small. Hell, even Bitcoin started off with its value only in cents. But I guess when Ethereum is reaching the level of Bitcoin's value, Bitcoin is already very expensive.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops and Bounties useful? on: December 28, 2017, 04:57:34 AM
Are Airdrops and Bounties really leading to a successful coin? There are so many out there this time.
Or are they mostly shitcoins, disappear or using your emails for phishing?
Have you ever participate to one with high profit? How long was wait for that?
I think most of them are just bullshit and time wasting and not worth putting some effort in.

Not everything using bounties and airdrops are shits. Although there are growing numbers of projects and ICOs that are causing a bad name to bounties and airdrops. You have to be aware that the big coins in the world of crypto have also gone through the same process. Monero, Lisk, Wings, etc have also their own versions of bounties when they introduced and offered their ICOs to the market.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum a bubble? on: December 26, 2017, 06:38:10 AM
See a vote on this one  Grin

With my vote cast, the voting is already made a tie at 160 for both Yes and No. My vote is a No. I think Ethereum is not a bubble and will not burst. Of course time will come that all cryptocurrencies of today will become obsolete as the rise of so many cryptos, many of them much better ones, are very fast and in big numbers. But this does not mean that Ethereum is a bubble. It simply means there will always be developments.
794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: All my money in 1 altcoin - Too risky? on: December 26, 2017, 02:31:27 AM
Hi,
the altocoin market is so variuous and there are dozen of interesting projects that can be supported.

But  i'm a little investor (500$) and i'm seriously thinking to put all my money in only 1 project I think is very good which curretly is in the top 40 of altcoins. I don't want to say the name because my topic wants to be very general: what do you think is the risk  by doing so? Should I invest in 2 or 3 coins instead?

Thanks

It is indeed risky. You have not made some kind of a safety net for your portfolio in case your single altcoin will dump in value. But if you really believe that the altcoin you are investing into will give you a big and quick return of investment, then you may go for it. After all, you are investing $500 only. The advice will always be to diversify portfolios though. But make no mistake, I also all in sometimes when there is a very good entry point in a trusted altcoin. But I pulled out immediately after gaining.
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now or wait? on: December 25, 2017, 02:14:31 AM

I missed the dip the other day and am wondering if I should hold out for another dip or if the current prices are still decent. Mainly looking at litecoin and etherum. I also need coins regardless so I can exchange for other altcoins.

The prices right now are still cheaper as compared to the past days. You may still buy even the top coins with a discounted price. Look at Bitcoin. It is valued only around $12,000 right? It used to reach $20,000. Ethereum is also cheaper now. It was more than $800 several days ago. The same goes to Litecoin as well as Ethereum Classic. This is the season to buy. Everything's offered with a price sale.
796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regret! on: December 24, 2017, 04:21:45 PM
Does anyone else regret that hasn't invested in certain Altcoins that now rose 400-800%? Because I regret it a lot. :|

Regrets abound here in crypto. But it is all right. One cannot simply get everything. I also have my own share of crypto regrets. First of everything is that I entered into this world a bit later than I should have. Bitcoin was much cheaper back then but I did not buy even a small amount. The same goes to a lot of altcoins. Litecoin, Ethereum, Waves, and a lot of major altcoins were actually very cheap before.
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICO for January 2018 on: December 24, 2017, 03:23:22 PM
Please name 1 ICO to buy for December that can be a gem later?

Oh I thought you are asking for the best ICO in 2018. But your post is asking for a good ICO in December. You must be referring to December 2017 then. Anyway, SwissBorg is a very unique and solid project made in Switzerland and being offered to the world. The project is about crypto wealth management. And they have raised at least 12 million CHF so far. Quite amazing. You still have the chance to take part as the ICO is still running.
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you buying altcoins on: December 23, 2017, 07:27:14 AM
With BTC in such a strong uptrend atm, are you buying altcoins right now? A lot of them are kind of 'cheap' and have been falling while BTC have been increasing.

Of course I do. But since I have only a very limited monetary resources to buy as much as I want, I am only satisfied with what I can buy. Actually, I am already holding several coins. Some I sell high and then buy back during the cheap season, just like what we have now. But right now, I really need to hold them still because they already dumped in their prices. But I am looking forward to a few days from now when they will again fly.
799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Amazing profits from ICO’s? ✅ on: December 23, 2017, 06:07:01 AM
Hi,

I think some people need more patient with their investment in ICO.
Check www.icostats.com. The profits are amazing!

You also need to have a good project for profits..

Investments in ICO are never for newbies and beginners in the crypto world. There is much tasks to do before one invests in ICOs. It is not simply buying a certain token and hold it for like a couple of months and then one reaps profits already. No, it is not the way it is. First and foremost, there are so many ICOs in the market today and most of them are not really good and will probably die soon. Picking the best choices is even a hard task already.
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is everyone "Cashing in" on: December 22, 2017, 03:09:27 AM
Just noticed a sudden drop in all the top cryptos, is there a large cash in for fiat in progress??

Perhaps. It might be because it is holiday season and there is a need to have some money for shopping and presents-giving. But this is not something to worry about. Because for the past several years, the pattern will always be that when there is a dump especially a wider one, what follows is that there will be more fiat to come in. I know there are a lot of people out there who will take this opportunity to buy a lot of coins. They are cheap right now.
