781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: August 04, 2017, 09:53:44 AM
there are a lot of options for using Bitcoin, nowadays, Bitcoin is using in the payment system. most important thing is that it provides huge amount of price.also  Bitcoin can be used as the saving and investment purpose for the future purpose. i think, in the future, Bitcoin will dominate in the whole monetary system.
Bitcoin now is used by the local making transactions just like bills payment, shopping online with hastle free. You can make it anywhere as long as you have internet connection that's why they embrace or accept bitcoin as a new type of currency(digital currency). We should accept the reality that, everything will be change just like now. Bitcoin is somewhat to say  a change, a development because we are now in the computer era and it can be easily to used anytime.
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: August 03, 2017, 07:47:04 AM
I think bitcoin can survive. Recalling all the past and until now, bitcoin is still worth it and i think have a bright future.
And also, it has survived for a long time, and keep being the biggest in cryptocurrency. I think it won't die or crash easily.

A very big chance to survive. If happens that this new types of currency are being embrace by everyone, I can say that a bright future of bitcoin is coming. As we observe now  a days bitcoin is now on the process of being legalize in the other countries. A good chance for us to be a part of developing this kind of cryptocurrencies and we can also benefits this. Some transaction can be made easily for this, and I'm surely it will survive .
783  Other / Meta / Re: How long can I increase the activity of the bitcointalk account? on: August 02, 2017, 11:31:09 PM
Hi I'm new and I'm looking forward to increasing my activity count on Bitcointalk. Been a reader for a couple years but never bothered posting! Nice to meet you all.
Yeah, we are the same at first but I still keep reading from other forums begginers and help is a big help for newbie just like us. Just keep reading and be active. Posting is just the way to rank up, but it takes a month to become a junior member, actvities are counted not how many you post to increase your rank. All my advice is just keep reading just like what I do now, we can do this sooner is just a matter of hardwork and patience.
784  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: August 01, 2017, 05:56:35 AM
Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin

I don't think quitting your job is a good thing. We never know if bitcoin will stay in the long long term.

You're probably right. You have a great job and have a big salary, then there's no reason of quitting. Yes we can get much money in bitcoin, but you can play bitcoin while working. Is just matter of time management, you can do it after work or during lunch  break. Just accept the reality that bitcoin is another source of income.
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: gpu bubble well and truly bursting on: July 19, 2017, 07:20:52 PM
I completely agree with you.

There are way too many NVIDIA fan-boys who are always "Seeking Approval" to justify their purchase by bashing AMD left and right.

This DAG issue is very minor like I explained over and over and over again. Every 6-7 days the DAG file slows down the GPU by 0.5%, but every 6-7 days the difficulty goes up by almost 20%.

nVidia is good for the miner with high electricity price.
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How hot is it safe to mine GPUs? on: April 30, 2017, 05:43:34 PM
by default since 290 days, amd default shutdown temp is at or around 94 deg C is i'm not mistaken but that does not mean to push it to the max, back in those days on the 290s even till now i'm still running them till now over 4 years ! 80 DEG C is ok. the lower the better but if you look at default & they stock limits or design is around 75deg C or so. i'd say 75 should be ok, best below 80C for longevity 85 deg C WARNING !

I usually run my R9 390 below 75 degree.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASROCK H81 PRO BTC on: March 26, 2017, 08:45:43 AM
Wanted to do miners a favor, I didn't know 100€ was a lot for new mobo.
Tnx for answers.

If you are in Europe, the 100E price is not so high.
788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: March 06, 2017, 03:56:27 PM
If bitcoin have weak security, i'm sure by now bitcoin would be controlled by government or dead.
Bitcoin is still alive is the proof that bitcoin network is really strong. Most bitcoin stolen/lost usually because user fault or 3rd party service bug anyway Roll Eyes

I secondly agree with you....bitcoin is still on and growing stronger..population keeps increasing of those using it
I agree with your statement, bitcoin will be stronger if more people use it. bitcoin is also not exposed to great effect if global economic conditions deteriorate, and the security of bitcoin was better than fiat.

More users will surely increase its strength, and governments acceptance would also strengthen BTC more. Governments indulgence is necessary for some instances, because local shops, peoples from rural areas kind of believes the government. And there acceptance would also strengthen beliefs upon Bitcoin.

However, the block confirmation time is quite long now, the transaction fee is also high, that will deter new users.
789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: December 31, 2016, 02:31:20 PM

It would be nice if approved brokers accept Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is then in the spotlight!
I would then choose the option to pay with Bitcoin is now with transfer of bank account
I hope Bitcoin become even stronger over the years and you can pay anywhere.
I've built up a nice portfolio Bitcoin and will only increase in value
... Bitcoin allows many opportunities in the future

I heard one ETF will come to the market next year.
790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Zcash 10$ +/- on: November 25, 2016, 11:27:43 AM
everybody tell about price near 10$ but now everything is fine. after downtrend zec went up. and dont forget that now it is a btc bullrun.

It is possible that the ZEC has already reached the bottom. So it might hover around the current level for some time.
Its just a fake out for me when i saw on the recent price of ZEC just like what happen when it was just 0.2 before, it raises up a little bit and some people already said that time this is the beginning price increase of zec but those hope do fail because it really even dumped even more and now the lowest price is 0.02 and not starting to cling up but i still dont believe on this coin.
what will tell now? from 0.08 to 0.014 in one day. looks like good.

The question is that if the rate can be sustained.
791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: October 26, 2016, 04:31:03 PM
Because right now there is fear amiss… One of the largest bitcoin companies, Bitreserve, has gone so far as to claim that bitcoin will no longer be around in five years.  This is large and damaging talk indeed, particularly when the company recently raised almost $10 million to grow and further expand its core services.  If what Bitreserve says is true, why go through all that?  Why not just cut ties with digital currency now?

It looks like they have an agenda. And this agenda is apparently to instigate panic selling and buy even more bitcoins when the price goes down. But talk is cheap, and so far the price has been rising, step by step, and their words have seemingly been interpreted in the opposite direction that they expected. But they might as well have been expecting exactly that, since who knows for sure?

That could be right. The bitcoin price is rising now. That makes me think the previous fud is just to get cheap coins.
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: October 19, 2016, 08:01:56 AM
there is no doubt about bitcoin that bitcon is a very very strong currency becoming more and more stronger as the time pass because more and more people are entering in the world of bitcoin and investing their money here.

It doesn't help us with anything if we won't try to help making it popular. Always ask for payment in Bitcoin wherever you go. It'll make them curious about it or they'll just keep it in mind and whenever they'll see this name they'll go and see what it is. We need popularity.

That is good argument. I some times sell in the Ebay, but it seems that the Ebay does not allow bitcoin payment.
793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: October 03, 2016, 06:44:02 PM
Bitcoin is pretty strong I would imagine. There's lot's of big investors in bitcoin who got alot of money way more than me in bitcoin.
So I am not worried cause hackers would rather target big wallets but it seems they are still doing fine.
There are various hackers. There are strong and there are newcomers. Each victim is in their teeth. So do not be so sure. It is better to take care of what you have closely.

This is why I have split up my money in many paper wallets. I'm now more secure, and doing it correctly can make it impossible for one hacker to get your data. I have split all my money in 0.01 wallets, so.. Yeah Cheesy also, hacking the Bitcoin addresses isn't as easy as bruteforce is. Bitcoin is very secure and if that was the case..... Many rich Bitcoin addresses (especially the top 5, you can find the list on Google) would have been taken down already.
yeah, it is definitely more secure to save up your money in different wallets, in this way you can make more profit

Yeah bitcoin is much more safer than banks because here in my country there are news around that many banks are being hacked and using by some kind of skimming device. They are able to penetrate the security of the banks and tried to steal their money. So for me bitcoin is really strong because no one is able to breach the network.

You might live in a country with too many criminals. The bank cannot be hacked easily. Its custmoers are hacked.
794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: September 19, 2016, 06:27:49 PM
We know that bitcoin is strong and all the wallets have milletry grade security but one of my stupid friend today said that maybe someone can hack it with just a calculater because with math and correct formulas we can even predict gambling bets if that is possible then maybe there is any chance of this
Did not trust the Internet and wallets better to keep on your desktop. Maybe passwords need to be changed constantly, because guess the password is not so easy but still possible.

If you change the password constantly, you need to keep a good record of that. If you forget, you will lose money.
795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: September 09, 2016, 05:55:27 PM
Supply and demand make bitcoins strong or weak, more involved people that use bitcoins in any way are the backbone of the bitcoin. Economy and price depends from that, and if we are strong now, in future and with more members bitcoin can become the strongest currency on earth. I'm thinking that now bitcoin is growing very fast, just in little more then a half of year, bitcoin gambling is exploding, price went almost triple more times up.
Bitcoin is very strong, soon banks, governments and everyone else will realize that they need to start to fear from bitcoins.
I regret cause I didn't found bitcoins earlier, but in some moments I understand that for many people across I'm the world I'm early adopter.

I found the bitcoin in early 2013, when the price was about $100. I bought a few at the time and made some good profits.
796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My new Eth thread builds info and other stuff thoughts and photos included. on: August 26, 2016, 07:15:56 AM
Posting here to follow this, seems like an awesome thread!

Also, how much does the power around you cost? As the power where I am is very exspensive.

my summer power cost is 18 cents a kwatt.  well 16.7 and add 1.3 for extra ac. so 18 cents

I use 2600 watts  or 2.6 kwatts x 24 x 30  x 18 cents  that is 336 usd per month in the summer.  for winter I will drop to 166.

I am earning  about 842 before power or 500 after power for august.

im dual mining on my cards and the siacoins im mining are paying almost all of my rigs power bill. might be something to look into
my hashing dropped a total of 4mhs over 6 cards. im gaining almost 60$ more a month in sia so in the long run im gaining more than losing

You said hashing dropped a total of 4mhs over 6 cards.

Does it mean you use the old cards like the AMD 280x?
797  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: August 08, 2016, 06:44:01 PM
Yes I hope that in 2020 the adoption of bitcoin increased and it certainly is. Many of the companies and people who adopt also bitcoin will certainly increase the price of bitcoin. So in 2020 bitcoin will be progress and development.

If bitcoin will be progress and will be more developed, it will lead bitcoin for much strong currency. And if most companies will adopt bitcoin then it will be widely used in the market.

But don't expect a price increase for it. It won't happen anymore if bitcoin will become stable and widely used.
The bitcoin price needs to increase if more companies adapt the technology because the demand for bitcoin will increase.

No. Companies will soon adapt the technology of bitcoin if the price will become stable. Fiat dealing companies doesn't like the idea of bitcoin having such an active price fluctuations.

If bitcoin price will become stable then that's a good start for the companies to consider accepting bitcoin as mode of payment.

Some big companies like Steam have already accept the bitcoin even though the price is still volatile.

I think Amazon will accept the bitcoin in the next two years. A few other big companies will do the same.
798  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: July 27, 2016, 07:26:52 AM
It is hard to say what Bitcoin is going to be like in 2020 but I am sure that not much is going to change except for the price.
What the price is going to be is what I do not know but it has to be high.

If the bitcoin is developed continuously, there will be more usage and the users. So the price will rise higher.

Like said below, which developments? People here, at least some live in rinse and repeat of bs.
Bitcoin development, bitcoin price reaches 100 milllion billion. It doesn't work that way.  At best bitcoin wallets get a mandatory upgrade, no fancy things.

And it's not the people but the whales who determine the price.
It could be the whales that are controlling the price but why have we stayed at the mid-$600 levels for a while now? Are they accumulating at these levels so they could pump the price?

it could be the case or just to much resistance
bottom line is that price will go up by end of this year but in 2020 we could expect to see 1000-1500 stable range in that time
maybe not just that wide but close

I am more optimsitic. I think the price of bitcoin will be between $3000 to $5000 in the year of 2020.
799  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: July 17, 2016, 10:19:18 AM
Bitcoin could have around 1 to 5 million users in 2020. But that depends on the infrasture of the bitcoin being built.
800  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: June 29, 2016, 06:52:20 PM
I began my career in the bictoin . In 2010 the bitcoin was worth 0.01 euro , now a bitcoin worth 400 euros. I ask myself a question: what will be its value in 2020 ?.

A friend told me that its value will be 10,000 euros. Shocked

Sorry for the spelling for I am french . Wink

Thank you for your replies Smiley
What will the bitcoin be in 2020 i dont think the bitcoin will rise allot after this year and not even in the year of 2020 there are allot of users right now so wehn the
bitcoin is not rising allot the last view years so i dont expect allot of 2020.

The price rise will be correlated to the number of users. If the number of users continue to rise, the price will also rise.
