Mining can still be considered profitable for short term seekers although the real gain are made in long term. Most of the best profit are made when the average bitcoin user consider mining as unprofitable because in future those mined coins will fatch you massive profit.

Considering the ways of earning bitcoin, I don't think we have any new profitable way (I stand to be corrected) although I still consider trading as a good way of earning bitcoin as far you can master the skills and have a little bit of luck on your side.

They aren't addicts, if they were then you won't see them on forum more often. Most of them are just pretenders and many of them are only here to meet their post count. Take a good look at their replies most time you will get a hint that they don't have an idea about gambling. I do gamble occasionally so am not an addict.  The forum is filled with gamble lovers not addicts

I see some truth in your statement but when you come to think of it, the reason the saying "Do your own research" is highly encourage is because this days you won't know who to trust. You speak of them been better off listening to advice from others, the same "others" that get paid to promote a particular token or those hired to hype some wanna be shitcoins calling it the main or next bitcoin?. I still feel you'll be far better doing your own research. When you DYOR and pick the right coin/tokens to invest in and profit, you succeed and if you pick the wrong ones and loss, you learn and move on. Although you are far better sticking to investing in bitcoin to avoid falling victim to those scam projects out there.

Technically they are although lets not forget, DT members are also forum users and should be allowed to benefit from wearing a signature. Those campaign didn't reserve a special bonus for been a DT member or leaving reviews, the DT members applied themselves to promote the project therefore they aren't buying the trust of DT members.

Instead of taking too much of a risk investing in ICOs that majority turns out to be a shitproject (scam), why not invest in already tradable coins that suffered huge price decline due to the bear market. Usually I don't advice buying of altcoin that's if you can afford just one bitcoin you're good but since you don't have the fund. Draft out some spear time, research for those project with real life usage which aren't just hype project and invest in them instead of replying on some random advice on "best project ICO to invest in 2019".

Be a little less strict towards them. I Believe the forum is losing it's friendliness towards newbies. From history the early forum users always welcome new members and assist in any means they could but this days every newbie is seen as a scammer/spammer untill proven otherwise. I believe the newbies are the future of this forum just as most early user have stopped using forum that's how the current user will stop and we need the newbies to take over. This newbies what they lack is direction and forum should always try her best to accommodate them.

Has anyone here watched "big bang theory" the bitcoin episode? Although it was just a movie their illustration made me consider the most surprising thing in bitcoin history as the profitability of mining bitcoin. The early miners just did it for fun because technically it had no value. Based on the movie, If I can recall correctly one of the actors told the others "so you mean we get to sit down all day solving mathematical problem and end up with worthless coins we can't spend? Then they replied "Sounds fun".

After watching that movie I came to a conclusion that the early miners that believe in bitcoin to the extent they even mined in losses are the true heros.

Worst decision ever, this act of your (begging for merit) is strongly frown at and might earn you some red trust and possibly end you on must reputed users ignore list. If you feel you deserve some merit based on your previous quality posts that you have contributed to the forum, participate in Giveaways dedicated to helping user within your rank status to rank up.

Am with you on this one, thanks for the motivation in this time of testing and only those who pass the test of hodling will celebrate when the bull market comes. Thanks guys, i decided not to start a thread celebrating it. Kinda lost childish to me now as a snr member not saying other shouldn't if they feel like but earning of merit is now like a regular thing just like quoting of my posts. I guess the moment i developed the habit of continuous quality posting the merit started coming in their numbers. January i became a full member and now march snr member, it feels good knowing your effort is been rewarded. I might celebrate it when i get to hero status hopefully before the year ends until then lets keep having fun as we put effort into making the forum better each and everyday with our quality posting.

It might not favour the price of bitcoin directly as every investment and currency will mostly be affected by the crash but It'll lead to people losing faith in the fait currency resulting to them, looking for alternatives and what other option will they have than (bitcoin) cryptocurrency. Sometimes people need to learn the hard way therefore, if another crash of the system will open their eyes so be it.

I love the turnout of the champion league this season, it's getting so unpredictable unlike previous seasons when we knew teams destined to make the quarter finals. So technically, as you claim you were writing quality post because of signature, no wonder you have such high numbers of Post with little evidence (merit) to show quality. Well I was interested in reviewing your account to give you the 1merit you needed to rank-up but the qouted sentence above discourage me. I wouldn't like to merit someone who takes a break from contributing positively to the forum just because he has stop participating in signatures.

About newbies been able to pay to post Image, I think the account created mainly to post project [ANN] which are newbie were put into consideration before this discussion was made.

Have you tried getting their attention through PM or any other means. What you/forum consider as spam, to the user it might not be spam. I went through users few post history and saw some post kinda average although mostly one line reply. Banning of user won't solve the problem since they can just create a new account and continue in their old ways.

That user isn't wearing a signature so I won't say he's posting for post count. Maybe a pm to inform users to increase his post quality might work (it worked for me). Banning won't always solve the problem.

One of those reasons is due to fact they can't find a single wallet to hold all their coins/tokens because they invested in multiple shitprojects from misunderstanding the concept, "Don't keep all your eggs in one basket" not knowing it's ever worst when you keep your eggs in multiple unsafe baskets all in the name of investing in multiple source of income when technically they're investing in one (cryptocurrency investment).

Before we start advicing newbie to stop storing their coins on exchange, they have to first be educated on investing wisely.

Those are just hype and will die off sooner than you think. As you can see, majority of the project listed aren't that old enough to be considered trustworthy. Beside I don't consider any project making use of the EOS blockchain as a decentralized project. The EOS blockchain doesn't just fit my definition of a decentralized blockchain.

That's accurate, Unlike the early days of bitcoin when majority of those who engaged with the currency were true believers that saw the technology as a revolution. These days those joining the community are profit seekers and they're coming in their numbers which is contributing destructively to the high level of fud and dip in price resulting from any negative news.
