I thought it was the rhetina they scanned on those scanners?

Either way, they are much more difficult to alter as apposed to regular finger print scanning (you can't edit your finger prints to be like others though - you can only edit them to make them look different to the scanners so you don't get detected).

Several years ago I saw a research on tv where they use a camera and attach it to the tip of the tongue to help blind people move around. Guess you can just stimulate the brain to elicit the sensation of seeing.

Must get quite painful/dry if you have to keep your mouth open and your tongue sticking out a little?

What is meant by "experimental French users"?
Experienced.
Ah ok.

First of all, that was just an example.
Problem being, reporting posts in the French section doesn't lead to results when the moderator doesn't moderate.
But it owuld be picked up by theymos if there were a very large number of pending requests.

If he doesn't cite them then report them for plagiarism with the relevant links (by PMing a global mod).
It shouldn't have to be this contrived. :/

If the board is at the point where they have to PM global mods to help moderate the section then isn't it a huge red flag to theymos that he should enlist the help of a new moderator?
Yes. But for some reason he hasn't so that's the best alternative I could come up with.

I'm not entirely sure also why he thought the politics and society board needed a moderator more than the french board, most of the people who didn't want to spam but have relevant topics moved their topics to serious discussion or ivory tow.
7823  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos you don't help us, so now close the french board on: July 06, 2018, 05:08:58 PM
Let's Vote For The OP To Become A Mod Of His Local Board Smiley
I guess you're the only one who really fits well and with the high concern to your board Wink
There's no objection here as I think.  Grin Grin Grin

He doesn't want to be moderator himself. Some experimented french users of the forum already proposed themselves.

What is meant by "experimental French users"? If they're newbies and JRs then there's probably not much hope in getting them to be mods full/sr+ might have a chance at it though...

Since when did Shorena start reporting ?
How many forums does he/she report on?
How many posts are there on these boards?
What is its/hers report accuracy?

First of all, that was just an example.
Because I asked them that many questions Grin. There was a thread on it, I tried to google it but with no avail.
Accuracy was 99% if I remember rightly and what do you mean by forums, if you mean boards then no one actually really has that data other than Theymos so how would I know? And whenever they registered obvioulsy (2013).

@Halab

All the topics created by @Kitcho are translated texts from English news websites to French
If he doesn't cite them then report them for plagiarism with the relevant links (by PMing a global mod).
7824  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos you don't help us, so now close the french board on: July 06, 2018, 03:45:36 PM
You get the idea now. I am not going to post some links but I can easily find 50 within 10 minutes if needed

This might be the issue, Theymos might be waiting for people to report more posts before he has enough data to appoint a moderator - as he didn't seem to have very much data this time last year with only a few reports.

If there are enough unhandled reports then theymos will have to do something, there also doesn't seem to be anyone willing to moderate the board as both you and JohnUser have said that you have put too much effort into reporting posts and if no one is available to take the spot (and we can't magically produce people to moderate a board).

What is this?
You don't understand, we did what theymos said- to report, but nothing has change.

...started reporting since that day. Here are my stats to date: 438 posts with 99% accuracy (215 good, 3 bad, 220 unhandled)...

...Some other french members have stopped reporting because nothing move...

My point is 500 posts isn't that many, and why didn't you start reporting before that point or did you only keep a record since then?

There are users here like shorena who have reported tens of thousands of posts accurately without any acknowledgement of them (disclaimer: this information was read by me a while ago, it might not be 100% accurate).
7825  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if satoshi dumped his 1 million bitcoins? on: July 06, 2018, 03:41:41 PM
We are not even sure if satoshi created bitcoin. There are stories that bitcoin is created in Slovenia. Also there is another stroy that bitcoin is created by some people from America and he had support from NASA.So if even he is creator I am sure that he will not sell own bitcoins for smaller price,he would better go to sell little today, little tomorrow, little next week until he sold all bitcoins because only by that way he can get more money. If that happents but that should not happent price will drop for sure because some traders will be in panic and they will sell for less money.Best option for 1 million bitcoin owner is to HODL all coins.

Yes there are a lot of stories about where is was created/released: US/UK (the thing about the financial crisis)/Australia (Craig wright - fake satoshi)...
I doubt he would go and crash his own party, would he?
Maybe he'd hope it would be stable enough to be able to use them.

there's also a question as to whether he'd be able to use them and get the transactions confirmed, the network might run against any mining he does and blacklist any nodes that broadcast transactions from his address. They don't want the value of the coin to plummit do they?

7827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: No payout dwarfpool help on: July 06, 2018, 02:39:44 PM
Come over to ethmypool.com!

Friendly support from yours truly

You might want to put more power behind your pool before suggesting it. They may as well solomine instead of using the pool as there isn't very much power behind it and people join pools for constant shares.

Nice site though!

When it was announced that the Silkroad coins would be sold on auction a few years ago, the price dropped a little. This is a clear indication that the market reacts on news like this. So I presume that the mere movement of 1 coin from the Million coins that Satoshi mined, would send the market into a Selling frenzy and this will push down the price.

There are so many trigger happy speculators in the Bitcoin market these days, that a event like this will spark a massive dump of coins onto the market. I will be one of the people who would be waiting with open arms, to collect all these cheap coins.  Grin

If I had access to only one of Satoshi's private keys, I would sell 1 coin immediately to flush out all these speculators that are manipulating the Bitcoin market price.  Angry

Maybe you could earn coins without selling any of the million. I.E. I won't sell any of the coins if I get a total of 1BTC to my address monthly Grin.

And everyone is really too trigger happy, I'd be the same if actively trading which is why I don't look at the exchange rates. I doubt it'll fall below $1k per Bitcoin anyway at the moment.
7830  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if satoshi dumped his 1 million bitcoins? on: July 05, 2018, 10:05:48 PM
If he sold it to one person with all the money to pay for them at the regular value then it might not fall at all

yeah, markets would not be crashed by the giga order.
however, will people continue to believe in BTC ? today, satoshi still hasn't touched his bitcoin. if they move, not necessarily on an exchange, I think people would dump bitcoin.
he still can sell the private keys without needing to sign a transaction but man, keys to 1M BTC ...

I'm not sure I'd trust buying a private key, even things like casascious coins look somewhat an unusual buy just in case Mike Caldwell kept all of those private keys.

And money you can't touch isn't great, if you move 1btc at a time it might be less noticeable unless the keys became a collector's item themselves (maybe they already have). But that's still quite dangerous.

Anyone else worried the bitcoin price could crash if Satoshi decides to cash out all his bitcoins one day.

Satoshi is probably dead by now. I don't see him dumping any coins any time soon. If he was going to dump then it would have happened at 20k
Or when it was $200 or $50 or $2000? Maybe he's holding for a reason.
7831  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Abortion is a God Given Right of Females like the right to bear Arms on: July 05, 2018, 09:48:19 PM
I can break this even further and say that only 87% of DNA is inherited on average (there was a study done on it, however, the study was only done very resently so I think they're still going through analysing the statistic and folding other information on it before they release their paper - the other 13% is mutations) - I'm not entirely sure I'm supposed to be sharing this information but...

We could also throw mitochondrial DNA in to the mix, which is inherited exclusively from your mother. As a side note, the evolutionary origins of mitochondria are truly fascinating if you are interested in this sort of thing - that is, they were a species of bacteria (likely Rickettsiales) that were taken up by other more "advanced" cells and utilised in a symbiotic relationship. Over time the two organisms evolved to where we are today, such that we cannot live without one another and are now recognised as a single organism.
Chloroplasts have said to have done similarly if I'm not mistaken in merging with plant cells.
I assume whatever came before mitochondria was probably not very efficient in producing energy as a single cell organism or maybe it was once smaller than mitochondrea and "stole" some energy from it.

Also, there isn't really a way to prove the gender of a foetus with 100% accuracy until it is born and in the first few weeks a large number of organs are generated in pairs and can look similar to each other.

I'm not sure that's correct. Amniocentesis creates a profile of the baby's chromosomes, and therefore sex can be determined by looking for the X and Y chromosomes.

I was always informed that finding information by extracting DNA posted quite a lot of risks, not enough to be offered by healthcare professionals but enough to try to avoid it if you can - hence why the gender is usually found by doing scans at around 24 weeks.

-snip-

Appreciate it. I tend to get a bit soapboxy on topics like this, so apologies in advance.  Cheesy
There always one who goes too far...
7832  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Abortion is a God Given Right of Females like the right to bear Arms on: July 05, 2018, 08:58:31 PM
Oh by the way, 50% of the DNA in that child is daddy's.  And 50% of daddy's is grampa's, and so on--same math for the female side, which I'm sure most people here are aware of, but I don't assume everyone knows basic biology.  Genetics is the craziest natural bitcoin-type mixer in existence.

I'm going to have to be a pedantic asshole here and point out since the human Y chromosome is significantly smaller than the human X, males receive slighty more than 50% of their nuclear DNA from their mothers.

It is said in a lot of countries that the limit is 24 weeks because the foetus cannot survive until that point on it's own.

However, a baby was born fairly recently before that 24 weeks which means that it could technically survive on its own normally at that point in some extreme cases. ref. This is actually quite a surprising read as he was 23 weeks and 6 days old when he was born (yes it's a bit pedantic one day before but still it means they could potentially have survived before then).

This is known as the limit of viability. Although most developed countries still use a cut off of (around) 24 weeks to initiate neonatal resuscitation, there are frequent cases of more premature survivors. I've personally been involved with a 23+1 who survived, and here is a case report of a 21+4 who is apparently developing normally: http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/early/2017/10/31/peds.2017-0103.
That's really interesting that there was survival even below that point, 21+4 is really something.
7833  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Abortion is a God Given Right of Females like the right to bear Arms on: July 05, 2018, 07:54:01 PM
I don't think I'm comfortable with abortion being said as "God's given right". The child or baby itself is God's gift, why would abortion be called that when you are to kill God's gift. Inhumane, it is our right but if we have morals, I don't think it's right to kill a person you haven't met before and did nothing wrong to you. Killing, itself, is already illegal so why do we even dare call abortion "God's given right" legal?

You are not killing any person as what you abort is a ball of cells, there aren't even neurons formed yet, its just a collection of cells. In fact, its less than killing say a rat for experimental purposes because the rat will feel pain, its alive, these cells aren't. And its  best to abort than believe it will be fine because that new person needs more than just air, or water or food! Abortion SHOULD be LEGAL and a human right

It is said in a lot of countries that the limit is 24 weeks because the foetus cannot survive until that point on it's own.

7834  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if satoshi dumped his 1 million bitcoins? on: July 05, 2018, 07:40:53 PM
It would depend on how many people he sold his bitcoins to as to whether the price would crash and if he did it incremently. If he sold it to one person with all the money to pay for them at the regular value then it might not fall at all, especially if that person wants to hodl it for a while (if the coins were sent to me for example I wouldn't spend them for at least a decade so in that time the price would recover).

As another point, in the past 9 years, he may have lost his private keys in order to try to hide a bit better and remain more anonymous (if he never wants to be found at all).
7835  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Abortion is a God Given Right of Females like the right to bear Arms on: July 05, 2018, 06:27:10 PM
Is anyone responding to this topic a female? Quite frankly, men need to STFU when it comes to this topic.
I'm sorry, do trans-gender, non-childbearing capable, queers get a say in this?

No. Apparently if you can't bear a child then you have no right to discuss this issue or post here somehow.

Maybe we should also limit this to people who have been raped and gone pregnant from that point as everyone else is worthless in this discussion under that basic principle.
7836  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! - $30,000 contest now live! on: July 05, 2018, 06:24:08 PM
WTF.  Who edited my post.  I didnt edit that out.  O wellz,  someone quoted it anyway lmfao.  Point is,  you know things are in dire straights when I'm in the top 10 of any referral list for this site lol.  TheQuack himself has said I have shit for referralz lmao (which I agree with,  I dont promote it at all other than a simple link in the description of a 24x7 live stream that shows the bot in use and raping Cheesy,  the rest is word of mouth by the users themselves).

IDK about the whole stealing of referrals idea.  Seems kinda pointless to me since most users referred to the site leave within the first 6hrs and never come back anyway.  Now,  stealing of QUALITY referral users,  now that would be interesting.  All the good referral accounts (AKA idiots) would end up with whoever had the biggest bankroll.  AKA:  The rich get richer.  I'd be all for that,  I have phat stakz.

YOU'RE STILL EDITING POSTS AFTER POSTING THEM WITHOUT LEAVING A SIGN OF IT.
There's an extra paragraph now.
Are you sure you're on this list even though yo're supposedly completely against this site (apparently) - I would like proof of this.
7837  Economy / Services / Re: [1 SLOT OPEN] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: July 05, 2018, 06:11:43 PM
For obvious reasons, posts in Ivory Tower and Serious discussion don't count as well.
How about Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion? I've posted there a few times, but only recently noticed it doesn't show signatures.
I think it should be added to the list.

It is on the list, I remember it being there.

EDIT: I can't find where it said that but I'm sure I read it when I joined here, @DarkStar_ did you remove that?

EDIT2 (proof I'm not crazy): https://web.archive.org/web/20170717185258/https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1935179.0

7. Posts in spam megathreads (based on my opinion), posts in campaign threads (including this one), necroposts for no good reason, posts in the Wall Observer thread and posts that "beat a dead horse" will not count.
7838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: No payout dwarfpool help on: July 05, 2018, 06:10:12 PM
so  I have  been mining for over a year on dwarfpool had some casual problems nothing serious, but last 4-5 days I still didnt receive my payout
its set on 0.05 eth I mine around 0.1 per day and its set on 4 hour
but after 30 of june nothing no payout its just sitting on my current balance tab on the dwarfpool worker stats and I wrote like 4-5 mails to dwarfpool no answer no help

Does the setting still show that you want to withdraw the coins after every 0.5eth.
Quite frankly at the moment there isn't really anything to worry abuot as you still have your coins (even if they're in their service).
Just send them an email and wait for them to reply, sometimes it can take anywhere from 48hours to a month for quite a few services to reply depending on the backlog. Maybe there are a lot of people with this error and they have the process a lot of ticket requests for the same issue but they'd have to verify the person has those coins and then withdraw the coins to them (a fix might not be found within a few days).
7839  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Abortion is a God Given Right of Females like the right to bear Arms on: July 05, 2018, 06:05:25 PM
Why in 2k18 we still use expression "God given right"? Just stop being stupid.

B1tUnl0ck3r is right about what he says.

God is used to refer to nature, much like "Mother Nature" is used to express something that exists that exists just because it does and not because it is added by anything.

And the "stupid" one is the biggot who is open to nothing. You're a biggot here for not considering that everyone who thinks a god could exist is stupid. I'm not entirely sure why we have theist biggot and atheist biggots who both have an issue with each other but both don't realise that they have the same stupidity. You must make yourself more open and accepting of other people's views and opinions: if someone says there is a god, maybe they're right; if someone says there isn't a god, maybe they're right; if someone says there could or couldn't be a god then obviously they're right as it's either one of the two.
7840  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! - $30,000 contest now live! on: July 05, 2018, 05:25:17 PM
Yes please drop freebitco.in and leave the site and this forum for good. Would be a win-win situation for everyone lol  Grin
Selling referrals is anice idea, but you will get indeed lots and lots of complaints, so I wouldn't put it in place.

When I started doing this wetsuit asked me to pass on any ideas that I think are good. The selling referrals idea is one that I'm not passing on.

As for the imbecile troll, wetsuit has put him on his ignore list and you might want to do the same. He's already edited that post you quoted at least 3 times. Currently, most of the blatant lies and shit are deleted, but he'll probably edit more lies in again later. There's really no point talking to someone that moronic.
I just read the first line and get the general gist.
I also think selling refs is a bad idea. Unless you pay more than 1rp, 1000rp or more might be better but still not great. This just means that people who buy ad space to advertise their affiliate link would just give up.
