7821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining , Is it worth it? on: May 17, 2018, 06:08:46 AM
From what I have learnt from my own experience is that if you have a capital of only around $1,000 or $2,000 to start with, then don't go for Bitcoin mining. A much better option would be to do some altcoin mining. Consider Bitcoin mining only of you have funds of more than $20,000.
7822  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Kill Syrians because Syrians are killing Syrians... on: April 30, 2018, 07:45:08 AM
6 years have passed since the civil war in Syria began. The players have changed, but the suffering and death still remains. And now the things are getting worse, after foreign powers such as the United States and Turkey are directly interfering in the war.
7823  Other / Politics & Society / Re: OBAMA was the best President in the world on: April 30, 2018, 07:42:58 AM
Obama is the same guy who increased the American federal debt by $10 trillion, right? I am surprised that so many people are still having a good opinion about him. I couldn't list a single significant achievement of Obama during all the 8 years.
7824  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Kill Syrians because Syrians are killing Syrians... on: April 19, 2018, 11:05:20 AM
War is money. It's unfortunate that the involve countries don't find ways to really end the war. When one war ends a new one starts, it is a vicious cycle and "We" can only watch the the players toy with people's lives.

War is highly profitable for the private defense corporations such as Boeing and Raytheon. Also, the private security contractors (such as Blackwarter) profit enormously from global conflicts.
7825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the price be stable? on: March 30, 2018, 06:34:33 AM
It is a well known fact that the Bitcoin prices will never stabilize like, say gold. But as the user-base expands, we can expect the volatility in the exchange rates to reduce significantly in the future.
7826  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: March 08, 2018, 10:40:41 AM
Well we should be discussing the future of crypto as I think crypto is still the alternative culture. The mainstream is still and will always be paper money. Think of this like pop music, even during the era of led zepelin, popstars ruled the charts. Eddi Van Halen's biggest hit song is a pop song. Today Bieber earns much more than Metallica or Trivium do! We as a collective could not end the pop culture then how do we expect to end paper money when it has legitimate reasons to exist. Smiley We will be childish enough to think that everyone has access to bitcoins. This thinking is just plain hyperbole. Smiley Smiley
7827  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: March 07, 2018, 09:24:49 AM
Well, for me I will never put all eggs in one basket. You should invest some and save some as a contingency fund. The ration may be 60-40, 70-30 or even 80-20 in favor of investing but there should be some contingency funds which will be useful in case of emergencies. Saving does not necessarily mean you put your money in a vault, you can save it in your bank account or do a fixed deposit sort of thing which locks in your money for a period of 3-5 years or something and you can use that fund when it matures. 7828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin? on: March 07, 2018, 09:21:52 AM
Well just like any business decision, you have to take that call. There is as usual 50 percent chance that you will succeed or you will fail. But it is up to you on how you calculate your risks, your back up plans, your entry and exit strategies and your short term and long term plans. Once you have done these analyses, you will be more confident on your decision on whther to quit your job for bitcoin or whether you want to do it partially. Smiley Smiley Wish you all the best! I hope you are successful in whatever decision you take. Smiley
7829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: March 01, 2018, 08:57:47 AM
I feel there are enough people to have multiple currencies at the top. Bitcoin is dominant now but it has many drawbacks which make some people wary of transacting in bitcoin. This is the gap which others will fill. There will be a time when we will reach maximum supply beyond which the transactions will be difficult to handle. Bitcoin also has a low transaction speed. Eventually there should be 3-4 major players followed by 4-5 little league players which will be abenefit for all as there will be no one thing that controls all the wealth even though it is not a human Smiley
7830  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Life working abroad on: March 01, 2018, 08:53:31 AM
People go abroad not just for themselves but to improve their living standard to a level where they are comfortable that their future generations will reap the rewards and will not have to face the same difficulties that they are facing now. One generation has to sacrifice and take the leap of faith once in a while to keep the family name in good hands and make a comfortable and happy life with multiple opportunities for its future generations. It is easy to think that these people are selfish, but well who isn't. The poverty in some developing countries is so much that it is out of imagination for most of the westerners. Everyone wants to just chill and relax but to achieve that someone has to sacrifice their life to provide to the family Smiley Smiley
7831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why People Can Not Believe Bitcoin on: February 28, 2018, 09:57:47 AM
It is a tough nut to crack. Humans since time immemorial have been resistant to changes in their spheres. The unknown scares them and makes them vulnerable to bad immature decisions. Secondly, people who are already powerful are scared to lose their power and influence. Hence, they do everything in their power to stop the changes. To do this, they use everything in their arsenal to hoodwink the masses. The same philosophy works in the case of war and peace. People in general do not care about things unless it happens in their own family. Everyone is patriotic till they go to a war or are involved in a life changing scenario at a personal level. All these reasons, make people believe that bitcoin is not actually good for them, hence the disbelief and discomfort when they talk about bitcoin because the idea has been implanted in their heads that bitcoin is bad! 7832  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Satoshi is dead,If not where is he now on: February 22, 2018, 10:23:01 AM
In my head I like to think Satoshi as a teenage kid trying to take revenge from his bullies locked himself up in the room to build an anonymous system where no one could take anything from anyone. He worked day and night to develop this thing (with a metallica song - master pf puppets playing in the background while he is develping blockchain in his room). The result of his development is blockchain at its rudimentary stage. He tries it out in his school and it works out swell. He slowly tries to redistribute power to people by making people solve his issues which make his system even better. However, one fine day a pretty girl knocks on his door to find out whats going on as she was in his class and was worried because she hadn't seen him for the last couple weeks in class. Satoshi had a huge crush on her so he went out for a coffe with her as he did not want to show himself as sloppy maniac on computer. He went out for the coffee while locking his so called bitcoin wallet along with his computer in a hurry. He had a really nice time and was enjoying his time out there. Once he was back, he unlocked his system but unfortunately he could not remember the password to his wallet as he created one in a hurry. He cursed himself and cried out loudly in the corridor scaring a lot of people. He eventually went into depression. He was taken home as he was unfit for school and was taken care of by his poor mother who could only afford school because of Satoshi's scholarship money. Once that was gone so was all thefuture success plans. Slowly in a year Satoshi could be normal again but he was not interested in bitcoin anymore. Around this time, his mother his source of inspiration passed away. Disappointed in life and hopeless with his future, he decided to travel to Tibet. Here he finally found peace away from all the worldly pleasures and is now more than happy to be a monk amongst the other monks in a monastery. It has been a decade since he invented one of the biggest things of the planet. In time he also remembered his password, but for him it was not important anymore because he had found what he was looking for - The key to life Smiley Smiley
7833  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Impact of drinking alcohol. on: February 22, 2018, 10:11:01 AM
It depends to be honest! Anything in excess leads to a whole lot of mess for our bodies. It does not matter what. Excess sugar, excess working out, excess alcohol, excess smoking. Everything. is dangerous in excessive quantities for the human body. It is on to us how we control our urges and how we control ourself. Everyone has a different limit based on their body mass. Some people have better metabolism than others. Based on all these qualities, a person should decide how is too much for yourself. There is no point in making your body go through pain unncessarily. A lot of us do not appreciate the gift of good health when we are young untill its too late for us to do anything. If we take care of our health, our body takes care of us Smiley Smiley
7834  Economy / Economics / Re: Do bitcoin millonaires deserve their wealth? on: February 22, 2018, 10:06:32 AM
Well no on e deserves their wealth if you think about it! Everyone becomes insanely wealthy only because of a stroke of luck. A lot of people do a lot of hard work or invent technologies that are way beyond human capabilities which could have made them rich but they did not sell it due to their principles (for example Nicola Tesla or the penicillin guy). By the same logic bitcoin billinaires are not at fault if they become wealthy. They invested in something based on their logic and thinking and they were right! People invest in stocks as well so it does not really matter what you think or believe about wealthy people. People become wealthy for a multitude of reasons and bitcoin billionaires are no different or are at no fault of theirs to become wealthy. Smiley Smiley
7835  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate islam? on: February 15, 2018, 09:53:00 AM
This is because the world lives on perspective. No one has time or energy to go after the nuisances of truth in their daily lives because of the pressures of sustaining your family, education, etc. Hence, the ones in power to keep themselves in power play on the subconscious righteousness in people's mind. The innate belief that their own belief system is the best in the world (which makes sense because if you did not believe it to be the best you would not follow that belief). In today's world, the world media dominated by a certain sect shows that some belief system are better than others. This creates a perception of black and white and all good even though what the Europians have done throughtout history (colonial era) is the worst a person can  do to another human. But oh well!! you know what I am talking about!!! Smiley
7836  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think that bitcoin can reduce corruption? on: February 15, 2018, 09:46:08 AM
No! Not a chance. Eventually tha rich sharks will join the commoners and eat the small fish out there and eventually hoard enough to control demand and supply in the world as there is only limited quantity of bitcoin. Of course, there will be a few who will be new rich people but apart from that everything will eventually remain the same. No system is fool proof and just like a fruit, a system grows, ripens and eventually withers away to give way to a newer system. This is what will happen to bitcoin too if it is the main source of money in the world. Nothing is beyond corruption or democracy. Wink
7837  Other / Off-topic / Re: When bitcoin will grow again? on: February 15, 2018, 09:41:36 AM
It will continue to grow whenever it reaches a low point of around USD 6000. The reason being that bitcoin is pretty much mainstream now and everyone wants their share of the bitcoin pie. So as soon as it goes down, people start hoarding bitcoin and when that happens it shoots up the prices and what happens then is that it raises the benchmark a little higher and it growss from there. This processs will repeat till the holiday season this end of year during which people sell to spend on vacation or something which reduces the price again. Smiley Smiley
7838  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering on: February 08, 2018, 04:18:52 PM
Hell yeah bro!!! It will not only recover but kisk some doubt spreadinig fear mongering asses out of the park!! Bitcoin is becoming too mainstream and people are not ready... People need time to understand what bitcion stands for and what it is!! but eventually people will wrap their heads around and understand the true power of bitcoin. Till then , there will be the powers that will try to stop the bitcoin  for their own selfish need and greed but eventually bitcoin should break through and benefit everyone that believes in it!!! Smiley Smiley Till then stay strong and be positive Smiley Smiley
7839  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do you believe God exists? on: February 08, 2018, 02:50:32 PM
What exactly do you mean by God? If you mean the standard definition given by various religions, then I am sorry I can't help you there, but if you feel God is a force or (set of forces) which direct the universe, then it gets more complicated than the standard definition. It is pretty possible that the seeds of life were created artificially or at least sped up for unknown reasons. But everything is pretty hard to guess or understand. We are still trying to figure out the possibilities that exist for us! We can only believe in a power that created us! I definitely dont believe that he is involved in our day to day activities Smiley
7840  Economy / Economics / Re: It's Not Over Yet on: February 08, 2018, 02:46:34 PM
True! This is good in a way that the panic sellers get out of the way from the long term holders! Tongue There is only a limited supply and not everyone is going to get a hold of it! So, poeple in power who do not understand bitcoin or could not get their hands on it usually try to control the situation by banning or controlling bitcoin exchenges. Unfortunately, Korea was one of the biggest investors of bitcoin and shutting down that base has hit bitcoin very hard! This will of course be back to normal again in about 6 months or so, when the base will be shifted from Korea to some other country which will have more bitcion friendly policies (or no policy Tongue). Till then good luck! Smiley
