7841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TUTORIAL] How to Earn 1 Bitcoin in a Week on: July 23, 2015, 08:04:31 AM
ouuuuuu , the worst ever tutorial.
this is makes misleading, if we buy altcoin on 100 and then the price drop to 10 satoshi what would you do hah?
you are just talking on good side.

But the guide says make one BTC a week... you think someone would lie about going from .05 to 1 btc in 7 days.... . 10 times.... .someone would lie?

Ok someone lied... sadly a lot of people have read the mess though.
7842  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tether wallet on: July 23, 2015, 08:02:29 AM
never heard of it, is this an online wallet? if so it's not recommended, it does not matter how safe they claim to be

at least they can provide you the private key? otherwise it's even worse...

A weird wallet it appears to me.  They say its "anchored or ‘tethered’ to real-world currencies."

Sounds like your trading BTC for a usd amount in wallet... but can spend btc from your usd?   I could be reading it wrong.  But I don't see it being used by many.
7843  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [$10] Udemy Course Ripper Script [RIPs any paid course for free] on: July 23, 2015, 06:53:50 AM
When I originally purchased it had features to come including "course files (PDF/Text/HTML)".  No mention of upgrade cost when purchased.  Or cost mentioned to get future upgrades.

Changed original purchase agreement.  Suggest staying away at the moment.

I didn't change the agreement because there never was one. You suggest staying away because it's $5 more?
Here the agreement:
All minor updates are free, you will always receive an update if udemy changes something, and updates like adding slideshow support to the other files already supported.
Major upgrades like the ability to download files may be free or paid. There is nothing that states you must buy them and the old version will still be maintained.
I doubt there will be another paid upgrade as there's no more major features to add really.

You said those were features to come.  There was no mention of cost.   The agreement I wish was put up by future features to come.

It mentioned no cost at time I purchased for the future upgrades.  And ofcourse it's not about the 5 dollars it's about you adding agreements after original sales.

Today was first day it was ever mentioned we purchased a video only version.

Oh well I won't lose sleep over it.  If any others read it when it said features to come please post aswell wish I would have taken screenshot.

I also read it as "features coming".  There was no mention of these features coming to a "New version at a cost"

Glad I'm not the only one.  I wish I had a screenshot it said features to come.... naturally we thought we were getting those.

And now he added a TOS that was not there at time of our purchase.   It was worded as if we would get it.  With new TOS expect 5 dollar updates on what he sees as a big update.... and anyone who bought before TOS hes holding to it.
7844  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [$10] Udemy Course Ripper Script [RIPs any paid course for free] on: July 23, 2015, 06:44:44 AM
New PDF download update is out!
Does this mean that everyone before this update was bought is not going to get future updates now?

So you read it as I did aswell?   Sure sounded like they were feature updates to come.

And anwser is no.  With new TOS he made we purchased a "video only" version.  Who knew?

Let me get this straight.....you live in Seattle (or at least had it delivered to Seattle usa), but paid for it in Euros? (600 Euro)  When I go to the site it was $649 usd for the S4+ and I'm looking at the site from Seattle.

Otherwise maybe it's some kind of promo for the site? Not sure,if so you got great deal! :-)

It really does smell of scam all the way around.  What I can't figure out is why they would make the scam show up late... maybe they thought made it more believable?

Either way there is more to this story.
7848  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you one of 62%? - 62% of People Say Bitcoin Will End 2015 Below $500 on: July 23, 2015, 04:07:06 AM
I we hit 500 at end of 2015 I consider that a big win.  We really are not to far away from the end of 2015.

If you look that is almost 2x of where we are now.  So that would be a nice jump.
7849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coin.mx shutdown by federal government, top executives arrested on: July 23, 2015, 04:05:42 AM
The lack of reading comprehension and substantial analysis here is dismal, almost worthless to discuss anything on bitcoin talk it seems. In the entire 18 page legal document there's one example of someone buying bitcoin from coin.mx for ransom ware. Some of you guys eat up what the media says without even thinking or researching.

Literally no useful information is in this thread, which is appalling. Are people just trying to get signature campaign money and posting brain dead garbage everywhere?

I think it is more useful for exchanges.  Make sure you have all your paperwork in line, or do not operate in the states you don't is really the end of story.

Some mentioned coinbase I don't think  we will see this effect coinbase.  If they are hit it would be a huge blow.   But coin.mx going down does not really to have changed BTC price much... so that is good.
7850  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN going up or down on: July 23, 2015, 04:01:35 AM
Hi guys, I'm recently wondering all this work and investments we do with bitcoin, and 2015 hasn't been a very pleasant year for btc. Do y'all think that bitcoin will keep going up or drop to what it once has in 2009? Just imagine one day bitcoin drops 200 dollars, that will probably give all of us depression. Advice and predictions please Wink Huh

The current value of Bitcoin decline, because they emerged and similar other currencies real competition. Bitcoin is the only real currency, and I think that soon the value of bitcoins to start to grow despite the occurrence of other currencies

But the value also went up in the last week if you had a close and regular look at it. It didn't climb too heavily but it certainly went up in the last week. But yes it would go up in the coming time and reach to a new level where we all expect it should be.

I think for this difficulty level were going to stay a little under 280.   We have been pretty steady at that.

I'm hoping next change we go over 280.  My hopes are in a month or two we see 300 again.  That was nice to at least see it.
7851  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Bitcoin Ruin Your Life, Or Help Your Life? on: July 23, 2015, 04:00:01 AM
Overall helped as I enjoy playing with it.  I am in it for the long term, so not selling all the time.  It's not effected be in any bad ways.

I could see how the ones that invested a lot at 1k per could have hurt them financially.  But even then I'm not sure it could have ruined their life.  You should never invest more then you can loose.

It is helping everyone I guess who holds the bitcoin even if it is least amount. I personally feel that It has added value to my earnings. As it is like part time earnings for me where I can take care of my basic stuffs keeping my salary intact. Where I can invest my part of my salary into bitcoins every month.

I pay for electricity out of my BTC.  This keeps it accountable where one day if BTC drops really low.... I didn't lose a ton of money on electricity.  I run a decent amount off miners so that could be a loss that would hurt my life.

Some miners I have paid for with Fiat.  So I could possibly lose that I guess.  But  I try to keep it long term on most of my bitcoin.
7852  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks Suck on: July 23, 2015, 03:55:33 AM
My worst story about a bank was I opened a checking account in a good bank for where I went to college.  After college I had 0 need for the account.

I went in nicely asked to close my account they gave me like a 50 dollar or something fee they wanted to close the account.  I said I found that a little unfair that I was locked into it till X date.

So I then asked what was the minimum amount I had to leave in account without a fee.... the manager said there was none.  I nicely told them I would take everything out of my checking account but 5 cents.   They sent me letters about my balance for a year and a half or so until they finally closed it.  I consider that a win for 5 cents.
7853  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Nano - Stick Mining Fun! on: July 23, 2015, 03:44:44 AM
I received one of these at the beginning of this week, I put it at work and this is what it's giving me atm:

Quote
cgminer version 4.9.2 - Started: [2015-07-22 19:47:54.802]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(5s):5.029G (1m):4.865G (5m):4.818G (15m):4.811G (avg):4.800Gh/s
 A:9624  R:0  HW:663  WU:52.0/m

I had a spare cpu cooling fan, I decided to give it a try putting it above the stick heatsink. Without the fan the stick was mining at an average of 3.7Gh/s, with a WU of about 23.0/m - it really gets hot Smiley

Just to share it, I'm having fun with it - it's my first miner after all  Cheesy

Glad to hear we have a new miner!  Welcome to the club.

And I do highly suggest a fan or something to keep heat down.  Without a fan it just gets to hot and slows down.   It does not have the biggest heat sink on it so the active cooling really helps.

Hi ,
This is just to inform that i have received my shipment today , the only thing that i disliked about cloudthink.io was its delay in shipment .
although i ordered it (BITMAIN ANTMINER S4+) in june but i received it in 18th of july (today).

i inquired the FedEx support from the reference of my tracking order and they replied that my shipment was misplaced and was placed in another cargo , i really wonder how such reputed courier services can do such things.
Anyways i am happy with the hardware , seems to work fine with me.
The packing was awesome around 1.3 kg of extra cushions to protect the BITMAIN ANTMINER S4+.
Few things that i would like much if it was there in Antmiter:
1. It lacks LED.
2. no Buzzer Sounds

Courier received snapshot:

-skip-

Thank you for your Hardware hope it will be worth of 600 euros.

where you buy? Im not see cloudthink.io sell his hardware ? Im only know cloudthink is Ponzi site
am i wrong Huh

All i did was i ordered it Last month , after that i read here about them , i was afraid that they are scam , but soon few days back i got their Product , hope they are legit now.
I bought this device from their official website , http://cloudthink.io

So your saying it took around a month for you to get a product from them?

If that is true I would still say scam.  A month allows them to mine it for quite a while then send it off.   I hope I read it wrong but one month is long waiting time.

0.2 w/gh is a big step! If they can do this, there will change the market for sure!  Grin
No shit Grin
They will do nothing until next bubble  Grin
And do remember to remove 30% from advertised hash rate and double w/GH in order to face real world from China specs Grin
Finaly be prepared for a battle with bright and shiny Chinese web and closed source shitty software...
How nice a?

Agreed. You [only this guy] should stick to good old american Butterfly Labs. MUUURICAAAAH!!!!

Wait, wasn't he with Technobit Huh  They screwed over folks almost as bad as BFL...............  Roll Eyes

I don't know if they did BFL level.  I mean BFL was to level US government got involved.  So not just personal lawsuits but agencies.

We really don't need to throw this topic off much more though this is a S5 thread Smiley
7856  Other / Archival / Re: July 11th to July 25th diff thread. Picks are now closed. on: July 23, 2015, 03:38:28 AM
Price is just right below 280 on coinbase.  Looking like we might be stuck there for rest of difficulty change, just not much varience.

Hopefully next change we can see a increase over 280 again.  And 300 is would be nice.
7857  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I want to start a farm mining bitcoin on: July 23, 2015, 03:36:50 AM
What does your power cost?   8 cents usd or lower  you may make money  more then 8 cent usd you most likely will lose money.

The S-5   uses 600 watts  maybe 650 watts.

You need 4 to do 5th.

They are loud .  you need power supplies  what volts are in your mining farm 120 or 240?

Phil hit the nail right on the head.  It is all based on electricity price.  If you pay a high one you have no chance.  Also a high vat/import tax can kill profits aswell.

If to high look into hosting centers.  That is the other option for those with high electricity prices.
7858  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it worth to mine with my old computer on: July 23, 2015, 03:33:41 AM
I have a computer which will not used, however, it is about 4-5 years old already,
is it worth to use it to mine BTC?

If yes, how much will I expect to get in 1 month Huh

Not only it is not worth but is impossible to mine bitcoins with a computer. It is impossible to mine with a new computer. To not speak here for a old one.

It's NOT impossible. Even when we were to where it was "impossible" to GPU mine, someone hit TWO blocks with a USB miner. It's basically just the lottery. Claiming it's impossible is naive. Are you likely to? No. But if you feel lucky, go for it.

Were talking very very low odds though.  If you just use a old pc and no asics on mining BTC it is going to be just horrible odds.  You can use a few old block erupters and be more of a lotto machine.

If you are going to do it get a raspberry PI you will pay it off in electricity savings.  And you can run the lotto machine there with a few usb miners.  Chances are you will never hit a block... but if you get very lucky not impossible.
7859  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How are block sizes determined? on: July 23, 2015, 03:30:45 AM
Here is a good article that is still kinda recent as far as block size.  These pools are around 50-60 percent of the network and worked together as far as size.  So nice to see them work together.

http://cointelegraph.com/news/114577/chinese-mining-pools-propose-alternative-8-mb-block-size
7860  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: best way for earning bitcoins on: July 23, 2015, 03:25:19 AM
Well the signature campaign of bit-x offers unlimited posts soo a person can make around 1btc weekly ,and some people can just work here ,i mean from posting.... the only thing is needed is time and internet ,pretty sure around 3 -6 btc montly can pay those bills and others....

that will be very hard to do without getting banned for spamming. if you're a Hero Member you'll need to make 114+ posts a day in order to gain 1 BTC weekly from the Bit-x campaign. I've never seen anyone make that many constructive posts in a day.

well i dont know about it but pretty sure you can make around 30 -60 posts daily with quality but will become a bad investment user.... soo may be invited to get out from the signature, besides those pretty sure some people has 2 accounts one use in home other at some friend home this way can reach and make those income montly Grin

With one that is unlimited it makes no sense to have multiple accounts.  If anything would get you more on the mod radar they check IPs...

But it's all about content of messages.   If your messages suck or what I like to call one iners, eventually you will be kicked from pretty much any campaign and if you continue a temp ban from mods.

My post vary greatly in amount.  Depends on if I find a thread interesting, how much time I have, etc.  Those directly effect my posts.  I think sig campaigns are very good way to get a little btc if used right.
