Up for auction is a one of a kind piece that rarely if ever will come up again. The mintage was limited to 10 made and this is #402 (series started at #400). This is a papersafe product and one of their finest. Reluctantly putting this up for auction but need some funds for an upcoming project so it might need to go to another lucky owner. *Note the paper sleeve that went over the piece is a little wrinkled around the corners due to taking the piece in and out of the sleeve and the protruding pieces from the note case. OK I've done a bit of Newbie homework. Got my 5 BTC coin graded (see pics) and put in a nice protective case which took much longer than I thought. It's MS64. Now I realize that this coin also holds "forked" currencies BCG and BCH which at market price today (0.11 BCH/BTC) would put face value at around 5.55 BTC. Right ? I've also found out that there is some mistrust with Newbie auctions as it seems they may chicken out of a deal. So kind of cath 22 here. How does a newbie gets sufficient buyer interest for an auction if no trust exist - just like in my case  https://imgur.com/a/k2FKYAuction it off here, so long as you can prove you own it, maybe the general paper with name and date next to it and offer the ability to the buyer to utilize a trusted escrow here you should get the same interest as a long time buyer here, especially since it's now graded. Yes it is. The way to identify which coin it is of the coins around the outside rim was an engaged name on the bottom of the coin and the corresponding public key engraved on the back of the coin. |

Have been away for awhile and didn't even know these were coming out.
I would be interested in a sealed box if anyone has one for sale.
If I had known I would have tried to get a few, one to open one to keep sealed and one for charity like last year.
Nothing against you but I'm happy you didn't get any haha.. The charity thing is great but as a coin that is meant to be collected and sets to be completed it really sucks when some people just hoard sealed boxes as it makes a few sets impossible to complete  . Obviously just my thoughts and I may be the only one bothered with this haha. That is so true... Cmon people -post your coin numbers We all are waiting to complete our sets Someone also needs to win that 1 sealed box in prize. There might be some numbers. I still think because the cas market is still niche with the premiums so low it's definately HOLD. When bitcoin hits mainstream and the collectables market catches up these will only go up in value but you guys can keep peeling that's fine with me Has anyone out there collated figures on how many have died since prices and forks started going through the roof? It must be quite a significant number of fresh deaths by this point in time. Don't know but each peel is another reason to hold, would be interested in seeing how many of the 25s survived since those don't have a real high percentage resale. |
