7861  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images on: May 21, 2018, 10:07:42 AM
Hello, hope you can help me with the question concerning Copper Member. I'd like to purhase this status, but due to some limitations, can't pay exactly 0.00208333 BTC, but can pay the sum starting with 50$ at least. So can I buy the status for couple of accounts at the same time? (then what is the address I should transfer BTC to?). Thanks!

You can't purchase Copper Membership for couple of accounts at the same time because they give unique BTC deposit address for every account.
7862  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why don't Neabie participate in signture campaign on: May 20, 2018, 11:28:30 PM
Do you see any reasons why signature campaigns would need to accept Newbies? There are few main reasons why they aren't accept Newbies:
It wouldn't be beneficial for advertisers. Newbies are allowed to have only very basic signatures without styling, links and only up to 50 characters. Such advertisement wouldn't be visible well, so there are no point to hire Newbies.
Limited knowledge. Newbies usually don't have solid knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. It's likely that they will spam or make low quality posts and it would only give bad image to company.
Abuse. If signature campaigns would accept Newbies, what would stop users from making 10, 20 or 50 bitcointalk accounts and join campaign with all these accounts. And now when campaigns accept Jr. Members, it's easy to cheat these campaigns. It tooks only 1 month to reach Jr. Member rank, you don't need any Merit, so, many people make unlimited number of Bitcointalk accounts and then they join bounties with these accounts.
7863  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Copper membership on: May 20, 2018, 11:16:05 PM

I think It's allowed to send more than 2 PM's in one day but limited to 5PM's per hour check this quoted below posted by our admin.

I've adjusted the limits to make spamming more difficult.

Activity   Min. seconds between post actions   Max PM recipients   PMs per hour
036035
1674530
3060560
6030560
1001210120
2001015120
300820120

I hope that the above quoted could help you to get an idea.

Anyway, upgrading to copper member could increase your interval limit for pm's and posts.
You posted outdated quote. Few months ago theymos updated PM limits, here is link to his post:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2536728.msg25872334#msg25872334
If OP will purchase Copper Membership he will be able to send up to 40 PM's per hour/ 120 PM's per day.
7864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: May 20, 2018, 09:00:18 PM
So, La Liga season officially ended. And results of matchese weren't important on last round.
Fernando Torres ended his career in Atletico Madrid by scoring 2 goals against Eibar. Great way to say goodbye!
And today it was last match for Andres Iniesta in Barcelona. 16 seasons, 32 trophies. Amazing player and personality. Hard to imagine Barca without him.
Legend of Real Sociedad Xabi Prieto played last match in his career tonight.
I can't remember season when so many legendary players left their teams or retired - Iniesta, Buffon, Carrick, Toress.
P.S. I think we can name 2 teams which will join La Liga from Segunda division - Rayo Vallecano and Huesca, while teams which will finnish in 3-6 positioons will play play-offs.
7865  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: My coinpot account has been hacked on: May 20, 2018, 05:07:53 PM
Unfortunately, you can't do anything. Your money was gambled and there are no chances that Coinpot will restore it. And it's impossible to reach Coinpot support.
What you can do now? I would recommend to change your password and set 2FA to prevent account hacks in future.
7866  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Self development and BitcoinTalk [Must read for new members] on: May 19, 2018, 10:28:02 PM
-Use google translation for the Indonesian version on the original post. It helps. The easy way to use the translation is...
In google chrome browser
# Right click anywhere on the page
# Find "Translate to English" from the toll-tip box
# Left click on "Translate to English"

The entire page will be translated to English.
Thanks for recommendation. Google Translate aren't perfect, but it works better than I expected, translation are really understandable.

This page seems pretty complete and detailed: http://www.pitt.edu/~poole/PGP.htm
There are also great videos that you can see to understand the basics. Eg: How To Use PGP/GPG Encryption - In 2 minutes - PGP /GPG Tutorial for Beginners
Wow, great stuff, thanks for sharing it! Will spend time to study these resources.
7867  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: May 19, 2018, 08:05:16 PM
@TheQuin, maybe you know, why I'm getting this message from SolveMedia captcha on Freedoge.co.in so often?
Quote
error: configured site limit exceeded. try again later

Publishers:How can I fix this?
It's not big issue, because we can use ReCaptcha, but still, I would prefer to use SolveMedia captcha.
7868  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: may i post referral link in forum in my post? on: May 19, 2018, 11:32:40 AM
I have good news and bad news, good news you can post your referral and bad news you can get red tag/red trust or even worse you can be banned.

If there is one best thing that you can do, that is you must read the rules.
You're not absolutely correct. He can't post referral links. And he wont get red trust rating if he will post ref links. His post just will be deleted. If he will continue to spam ref links - he will be banned. I'm not only sure, does ref link spammers get temporarry or perma ban.
OP, there are one simple solution - you can create simple website, group, telegram channel or something where you will post airdrop affiliate links. And then you can open thread on bitcointalk (something like "Best airdrops") with link to your website.
7869  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Self development and BitcoinTalk [Must read for new members] on: May 18, 2018, 06:06:12 PM
Thanks for making this thread. You're right, Bitcointalk isn't all about the money, it's a great tool for self development.
Actually, I joined Bitcointalk just to find new Bitcoin faucets on Micro earnings board and promote my website. But later I realized I started to read helpful threads and educate myself. I will post links to few most important topics.
Tutorial how to sign a message was really useful for me. It helped to recover my bitcointalk account.
This thread, called"Terminology" is also important:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=126798.0
When I was newbie, I saw so many unknown and change terms and this thread helped to understand what some terms means.
Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=155054.0
I think this thread is also meaningful. It's important to know story of Hal Finney.
Now I still would like to learn about PGP keys and how to sign it, but I don't know good tutorials about it in English.
7870  Other / Meta / Re: New Report to moderator stats ;) thank you theymos on: May 18, 2018, 05:22:12 PM
It's very interesting to see how many if my reports was marked as bad and how many are unhandled. But I'm wondering why my report history page is empty, I don't see any posts there, just stats. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=reportlist;mine
7871  Other / Meta / Re: Why are so many accounts being reported as hacked? on: May 17, 2018, 05:06:04 PM
I can tell you from my own experience, why my account was hacked. I just didn't cared much about security. I used weak password and no 2FA on my email. No surprise - it was hacked. Then hacker changed my bitcointalk password with "Forgot your password?" function, later he changed email address of bitcointalk. Luckily, I was able to recover my account by signing a message from staked Bitcoin address. It was very good lesson for me that I need to secure my mail, exchange and other accounts with strong unique passwords and 2FA.
7872  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of scammer like this..... on: May 17, 2018, 04:24:02 PM
Scammers can't get ban on bitcointalk,

Why scammers can't get banned from the forum. Is there any rule like that ?. But I have seen lots of people have been banned due to posting same thing again and again/ sending PMs/ etc. So why scammers can't get banned ?
According to forum rules:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0
Quote
19. Possible (or real) scams and Trust ratings are not moderated (to prevent moderation abuse).

But that guy can be banned because he break 6th rule:
Quote
6. No linking to phishing or malware, without a warning and a valid reason. [e]

7874  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do you really care if your data is exploited?? on: May 17, 2018, 01:41:32 PM
I don't care much. I'm not very important person who have many secrets and lot of things to hide. And I'm trying to reveal as least as possible my personal information to services like Facebook. If it would be exploited, it wouldn't harm me.
I tried to check what Google knows about me:
https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout?pli=1
It's a lot of information, but actually I see that some things that they "know" aren't even accurate.
I see that mostly people on this thread saying that they care about their privacy. Oh, really? If yes, are you really reading all these long ToS before clicking "I Agree" when signing up on service. If you don't read it, you don't even know how service will use your personal information.
7875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: May 17, 2018, 11:51:57 AM
It was typical match for Atletico Madrid. They scored first goal in a mid of first half and then they gave ball posession to Marseille. As usual, Atletico defended very well. After Payet got injured, I didn't believed that Marseille can win this final. In second half Atletico finished everything by scoring 2 goals. And as expected, Fernando Torres got his few minutes to play in his last final in Atletico squad.
What...?  The Europa League final is already over?  Nooo!  I can't believe I missed it!!  ...  Not.  Lol.  Grin

But seriously, I think it would be better for UEFA to expand the CL by combining the EL with it.  I mean, do a lot of fans really care for the EL?  Not much from what I've personally seen.
Combine? No. Champions league would become more boring if we would more mediacore teams. Actually, I heard that big clubs and UEFA aren't happy that there too many weak teams in CL group stage and maybe they need to reduce number of teams participating. It's not very interesting to watch Real playing against teams like APOEL or PSG against Celtic.
I don't understand one thing - why EL matches are always played after CL games. After we watch exciting Champions league on Tuesday and Wednesday, it's difficult to watch boring Europa league on Thursday. Maybe UEFA need to organize EL matches on Tuesdays like warm-up before CL games on Wednesday and Thursday?
But for me Europa league become interesting starting with 1/4 final round only, where there areless weak teams left.
7876  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I avoid phising site? on: May 16, 2018, 05:26:29 PM
It would be best to bookmark original website and use bookmarks to reach it. Always check url on address bar. I would recommend to avoid clicking links one emails, personal messages which was sent by unknown senders. Be careful with links which are hidden under URL shortener. When you are using Google search, never click on websites which are shown as ads in search results.
7877  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I Met My Scammer on: May 16, 2018, 05:18:59 PM
Oh, that wasn't smartest scammers I've ever say. It's obvious scheme which are used by Nigerian scammers, so called Advance-fee scam - they will give you millions but before that they will ask to pay more or less money to cover fees or sth. Luckily, you lost only $60, other people loosing thousand bucks by giving it to scammers. It always hurts to lose money, but at least you learned from mistake.
But nowadays scammers are making more sophisticated schemes which can attract much more victims and more profit to scammers. Newbies and even more experienced people must be extremely careful in crypto world before investing.
7878  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of scammer like this..... on: May 16, 2018, 02:09:22 PM
As I understand, he gave you link to a phishing website? Good that you didn't tried to login. Otherwise I would recommend to change your password ASAP.
I see that this guy was already tagged as account farmer in past. I suspect that he is hacking accounts with help of phishing links. If victim tries to login on phishing website, he just collect login details, change password and later sell account.
Report the PM to Admin, so he get perm ban.
Scammers can't get ban on bitcointalk, but I think he can be banned for spreading phishing links. Report him to global moderator would be a good idea.
7879  Other / Meta / Re: Haven't got any sMerits since the system was introduced on: May 15, 2018, 02:04:31 PM
Yes, it's hard to earn merits.IMO If a thread has more than 10 pages already then you should not post there again. And I think for newcomer like us "Meta" section should be the target to make quality posts and earn some merits.
In general, it's not suggested to post in spam megathreads, not only when we talk about Merit. When thread have 10 pages of discussions it'snot likely that you wont repeat things which was already said by other users.
Forum users spending their sMerits on Meta board most actively, but IMO, it shouldn't be target for Merit hunters. Newcomers need to focus on Beginners & help board and other boards to educate themselves.
7880  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Business ( You can get merit, If you have money ) on: May 15, 2018, 01:41:55 PM
First of all, Merit like a trust system aren't moderated, but you can report Merit buyers/sellers to DT members and naybe they will tag them.
Merit abusers are risking to get red trust rating.
You can get merit if you have money - you're right. But I suspect that you need to have very deep pockets to buy enough Merits to reach Hero or Legendary rank. Maybe it would be cheaper to buy Bitcointalk account than 1000 Merit. And more merit you're buying - bigger risk that you will be caught.
