7881  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling btc to minors on: October 27, 2014, 11:52:15 AM
As long as it's not illegal to do so in your country selling to a 15-year-old would be fine without a parent. Is it a large amount?

7883  Other / Meta / Re: MODS PLEASE BAN - gambling spammer/troll on: October 27, 2014, 05:35:01 AM
Maybe even if the troll was receiving a notification each time someone ignored him, people would have a greater motivation to to it. In addition, trolls motivation to keep being toxic would be reduced if people started ignoring them massively and they were directly notified about it.

I feel this would have the inverse effect on the user being ignored, if their intention was to troll. Being ignored, to them, is a measure of success. Imagine you were in their shoes, being notified every time you pissed someone off enough to make them ignore you would be somewhat satisfying.

And yes, I strongly recommend that the mods ban BBmmBB. I believe his posts constitute spam, since they are so numerous and contribute nothing to the discussions he involves himself in.

Agreed on both fronts. Trolls would get a kick out of being ignored. To them that would be like scoring a point. They want to know their actions are getting a reaction out of people. The best way is to just ignore them silently and don't respond to them at all, but someone always will, but BBmmBB should be banned for doing nothing but being a disruptive troll.
7884  Other / Meta / Re: Self-moderated thread on: October 27, 2014, 05:31:12 AM
If it's self-moderated they'll see it is with a warning, but that warning is atop every thread in certain sections I believe regardless of self-moderated or not.
7885  Other / Meta / Re: change username ?? on: October 26, 2014, 03:25:08 PM
You can change your username after you done a huge amount of BTC to the forum
It is wasting of resource. Register a new account with the desired name!
SO i can create 2 accounts?? thats unethical bro, it would be unfair.

What's unfair about it? You can have as many accounts as you wish, there's no rule against it (just don't spam from them or risk having them all banned).
7886  Other / Meta / Re: This user's password was reset recently. on: October 26, 2014, 02:48:38 PM
There's no reason to buy an account apart from scamming IMO. All accounts bought should have a tag like "Warning: this account has been bought" to let everyone know.

Apart from the majority of them that are bought to earn more for signature campaigns. And you can leave a warning like that if you feel so inclined; that's what the feedback system is for.
7887  Other / New forum software / Re: Reporting a user to users in DefaultTrust list !!! on: October 26, 2014, 02:16:42 PM
Just leave feedback yourself and PM some users on the DefaultTrust list if you think it's something that requires their attention. I very much doubt the admins are going to implement some sort of Batsignal for the trusted Members Justice League to convene to negbomb scammers.

Yes, you're only allowed one bump per 24 hours and previous bumps should be deleted.

You were apparently banned for making off topic posts to advertise your signature and insubstantial posts, all of which were deleted. You also have a prior ban for insubstantial posts under a sig ad.
7891  Other / Meta / Re: This user's password was reset recently. on: October 25, 2014, 05:40:34 PM
Yeah, it's a useful feature. Hopefully it'll stop some people from getting scammed. Feature was announced recently here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=827927.0
7892  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk forum app on: October 25, 2014, 03:22:37 PM
That's a third party app and not 'official'.
7893  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can i reply post in forum ???? on: October 25, 2014, 02:42:55 PM
if you are a newbie you can t post in others forums than forums for beginners.

Incorrect. You can post everywhere. Try it.

I'm native British and would be up for it if you wish. Just PM if you're interested.
7895  Other / Meta / Re: Major Flaw in Security on: October 25, 2014, 09:42:41 AM
It probably should be removed if a confirmation is not required. People who use fake emails just leave themselves wider open to be hacked.
7896  Other / Meta / Re: why im not sr member? on: October 25, 2014, 08:06:32 AM
Yawn. I've lost count of how many times I and others have explained this to you. We allow it because it won't make any difference whether it is or isn't allowed. You seem to think banning will solve something but it wont at all. Banning account sales will not make one bit of difference to how many accounts are farmed or are sold because it will still happen, just out of your sight. Will that make you feel more comfortable with your false sense of security? People will just sell them via blogs or websites and then this will probably just create more problems and more scams. At least you can use escrow here and ensure a safe transaction. Any rational, intelligent person knows that prohibition doesn't work. Is it incredibly difficult to buy drugs either online or in the real world because they're illegal? No. Most people can probably buy drugs on or offline within thirty minutes. And selling forum accounts isn't a crime or illegal, as much as you wish it was.
7897  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: WTB an Email account on: October 25, 2014, 07:29:13 AM
Why didn't you just use a proxy to create it? If the person who created it for you didn't and you use it for something dodgy then they could end up getting in trouble.
7898  Other / Meta / Re: why im not sr member? on: October 25, 2014, 07:23:14 AM
Except there's no logic in any of that. Banning account sales won't make it stop, as you explained, and there's no evidence to suggest he wanted to sell it. The majority of people who ask about activity here just want to know when they can earn some more money via their signature.
7899  Other / Meta / Re: why im not sr member? on: October 25, 2014, 06:52:00 AM

You do sound like a broken record and I still don't understand how you're not getting it.  How would banning the sale of accounts stop any of the above? It wouldn't even make a dent.

Well for starters you wouldn't get threads like this one.

How do you work that one out? Logic, please?
