Damn this tread should be used to assist users with any problems or giving suggestions, but the last pages a lot of garbage has been written.
There will always be haters and people who say that something is rigged, etc, but it starts to be very annoying. The site is online since 5 years and is still paying. The goal of the site is to be profitable for both the user and the owner.
So stop the complot theories and all the other stuff and just calm down.

Looks like the record is still broken for the other user.

I have to say @broken_tradah, you can write a lot about such little. It's odd to think that you'd spend so much time writing stuff like that when there is so much more you could spend your time doing.

It depends on how you use them as to whether you're profitible or not. If you eep money in there then yes, you will get some profit from the interest.
If you gamble, then you may incur a loss.
If you use the free rolls options only then you will profit but the profit will be slow unless you win the lottery.
7882  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum still to synchronize, 2.6.4 on: June 30, 2018, 01:22:19 PM
Hi guys,

I have installed electrum 2.6.4 on Ubuntu linux 18.04, I have bought bitcoin a view for testing and it is Unconfirmed at this moment for 2 hours.

At this moment electrum is still synchronising and nothing happends. What can I do or have to do, I am very new on this platform.

Best, Patrol

Why would you choose to install 2.6.4. I have a concern it didn't come from electrum.org, if not, you may lose/may have already lost your Bitcoin. Upgrade to the current version as TryNinja suggests, we're on 3.1.3, don't get it from anywhere but electrum.org/#download

I would wait to hear from DarkStar_ before you all get too excited. It would have been preferable (I imagine) for the participant to have contacted DarkStar_ directly (privately), and allowed them to move forward as they saw fit.
They haven't actually applied yet.
They'd need to post username/address/post count.
They may have posted just to get the bump when darkstar_ eventually posted for it to come up in their "unread replies" section.
7884  Other / Meta / Re: User name collisions? on: June 30, 2018, 12:32:41 PM
I've just registered with the user name 'Funger'. I've also tried to register 'funger' but the forum reports the user name is taken. However searching for variations on the user name only returns one user, this account with the capital 'F'.

Does the forum prevent registering usernames with different case spellings, i.e. ignore case sensitivity?

Apologies if this has been asked already but I could not find it when searching.

The others are right. Usernames are NOT case sensitive. You can use capital and lowercase letters.
Similarly, if you log onto a computer or other service online with a warning that caps lock is on, that warning usually only shows up for a password.
7885  Other / Meta / Re: can they still send merits? on: June 30, 2018, 12:28:07 PM
I saw some of account here appealing for their banned account. i just wonder, can they still send merits to everybody even though their account is already banned?
If not, then what will happen to their gain merits during the time that there account is still active.

it's my pleasure to see your response thank you.

In addition, they can still receive merits while they are banned and their merit score/smerit score will increase in this time - they can't spend smerits while banned though as mday says.

Are you certain their address is this: 38br25DZfuaZJtFeADbWgH2uwDKZq5JbJf

Has the other person had a history of transactions that show or is this the first one to their wallet?
7887  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seuntjies DiceBot -Multi-Site, multi-strategy betting bot for dice. With Charts! on: June 30, 2018, 12:06:46 PM

Yes and seuntjie bot is very well known on most big site. The variances that he made is sometimes leading to our profit as well. Due to the house edge, people will end up busted but the point is how long are you going to play before your got busted. If you have enough profit then you can stop it, there is no coercion to keep on playing unless you are greedy

That's true you can set a stop if x amount is lost and stop if y amount is run which makes if a bit better as you don't lose to much and as long as you're sensible, you could do well for profits or not lose too much either.
7888  Other / Off-topic / Re: Not sure where to ask this question so here goes. on: June 30, 2018, 11:44:20 AM
SSL certificates are used to protect online transactions with higher strength of encryption.

Have a nice day  Wink

Kind of.
The actual certificates in the OP are H-BIT as said above so they are licensed to a legal entity, SSL certificates are just regular online certificates which most websites should have (especially if private information needs to be kept secure).
7889  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 30, 2018, 11:17:52 AM

I think you mean what it means in English not math:

Absolutely not.  I meant exactly what I wrote.  ~3x  means ABOUT 3x because it's different depending upon which casino you're talking about.  Not all physical casinos run at the highest edge of like 17% (which is the highest I've seen personally).  It simply means.... about/approximately.  ~ has no english meaning.  Math is universal regardless of phonetic/written language that surrounds it.  The only time ~ has a meaning in written language is when it's above a letter.  It can also be used to separate 2 phrases but thats not an official use,  it just looks cool.  So those familiar with programming will often times use ~ in place of the word "about" (I am one such beast).  It's not an official use of the tilde but it gets the point across to those who understand (or should anyway) math or are developers (like myself).  I also tend to use !=, ==, &&, and a bunch of others a lot in things I write as do a lot of other developers.

@TheQuin, I broke our troll in 2 posts!

I obviously know what ~ means though I would have preferred an inequality sign though if you haven't seen higher.

I'm guessing you use !=,==,&,|.
There's no point in doubling up on & and | unless you're coding it info something.
7890  Other / Meta / Re: Oops I did it again on: June 29, 2018, 10:13:48 PM
This reminds me of something I can't stand, which is the dreaded AA/BB/CC rhyme scheme.  I've been working in a drug rehab for the past six years, and our patients have pretty much nothing but time on their hands.  Sometimes they ask me to read this great poetry they've written, and everything I've read thus far has this same awful pattern that reeks of prison rhyming.

I give OP props for doing something humorous, but ugh.  Can't you do something like "Shitposting whine/merit is whoo-hoo/I can't speak English/so give me 2!" or something that doesn't sound like you wrote it in grade school?

I don't think there's much inspiration for sonnets in a rehab facility is there (maybe give them the idea, they're really hard to write that'll keep them preoccupied for a couple of days - might make them go crazy also though)?
You must have the trend broken by the AABBA rhyming scheme of a limerick now and then.

I'd give you an example of both but I'm not sure if they're in the public domain (the original ones) and also I can't write one - I could do a limerick but it wouldn't be very good.

Bitcoin is my best friend,
this trend won't end,
ain't gonna ascend from this bear-end pent with no rent,
you're a godsend friend,
no pretend. Grin

P.S - you're so funny "deerlion"

I can't cope with the really long line Grin.
7891  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 29, 2018, 09:55:48 PM
1.  Food for thought, look up what ~ means in mathmatics.
I think you mean what it means in English not math:
Quote
"The "mean" is the "average" you're used to, where you add up all the numbers and then divide by the number of numbers. The "median" is the "middle" value in the list of numbers."
Instead of
Quote
"This symbol (in English) informally means "approximately", "about", or "around", such as "~30 minutes before", meaning "approximately 30 minutes before". It can mean "similar to", including "of the same order of magnitude as", such as: "x ~ y" meaning that x and y are of the same order of magnitude."[/url]
2.  Who said I didnt run one?  Gambling/Porn industry is cutthroat.  Maybe I'm here to beat the competition.
I mean you could be wetsuit and just saying how bad your casino is for publicity anyway.
3.  I didnt go to school for english,  it doesnt pay well enough.
Ok great.
7892  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 29, 2018, 09:43:41 PM
Any word on Malwarebytes unbanning FreeBitco.in?

A user posted earlier that they have been whitelisted but I'm not sure.

It looks clear on here[1] but I'm not sure whether it was this version of malware bytes that was banning it.
1. https://www.virustotal.com/#/url/dcc9b4516f8526be1a88fa0a31a856712088f7d23c869911f75fc82b5e81d73d/detection

So says the guy who cant understand the difference between a 5% house edge and 17% edge.  Thats only a ~3x difference.  But if you take a look at how much MORE it costs to run a brick/mortar operation,  you'll discover that 3x less is retardedly lucrative in comparision.  If you can come up with a server/scaling host/whatever that costs more than a casino to build, maintain, and staff,  let me know,  I'd really like to see what they are selling.
I'd expect to see machines made of solid gold complete with gold cases, keyboards, and mice.  I could run freebitco off my single desktop.  It doesnt take even 0.000000001% of a brick/mortar casino's cost to run an online operation and thats with more features than freebitco has to begin with.  The two are not comparable at all and thus the edges cannot be compared either.  It's this reason alone that online casinos far outnumber physical establishments in numbers even despite all the regulation going on.  It's so lucrative that owners dont even care about the regulations as the fines/consequences are chickenfeed compared to what the incoming revenue stream is.  Wetsuit could walk away today and never have to work again all the while being completely anonymous and having successfully run an illegal operation.

Why can't your bot do math? If it could, you'd know that 17/5=3.4x just by doing simple mathematics in your head (32/5).
Why not run a competing one if you can, get a vps and start running one yourself if you really want to (you can get a script online).
If your a deep learning bot then it's brick and mortar not brick/mortar.
7893  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 29, 2018, 07:40:12 PM
Thats right,  run along now after getting rekt online.  Its about time someone put a virtual muzzle on you.  I hope wetsuit makes that weekend beach trip permanent.

It's you we need to get rid of now and Jr Members can always be nuked still (and it's not like you're ever going to get enough merits to advance beyond that point anyway).
7894  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: To newbies and juniors running full nodes. on: June 29, 2018, 07:33:24 PM
Ok, this thread was the motivation I needed to set it up again. Decided to check how long it will take to set up a new VPS and compile the wallet.

I used this guide to build the wallet.
https://gist.githubusercontent.com/itoonx/95aec9a3b4da01fd1fd724dffc056963/raw/72d1b8e1a5ae836b73192b50eaee35ccd75411d9/Compile%2520Bitcoin%2520Core%2520on%2520Ubuntu%252016.04%2520LTS

I got one error and I had to install libdb to fix it.
Code:
sudo apt-get install -y libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8++-dev

Next error
Quote
virtual memory exhausted: Cannot allocate memory

Moved to a local virtual machine with enough hardware resources, instead of the cloud server I used before.

While I was compiling the wallet on the other machine, I realized that the cloud server doesn't have enough storage.

Ok, enough troubleshooting for today. No bitcoin node for the moment.

Effort so far: about 30 minutes.

Yes, running it on a VPS is not a good idea I found out also (they're generally against it as well so they might limit your usage to make it harder for you to run one).

Bitnodes have a small script you can run if you're on unix curl https://bitnodes.earn.com/install-full-node.sh | sh.
If you're on windows, I'd say it's very easy to run as all the dependencies are already there - though I had a real issue with running it on linux when I started).
7895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ABC stucked on 530361 block on: June 29, 2018, 03:21:10 PM
I have upgraded my Bitcoin ABC daemon to 0.17.2 version and got stuck on block 530361

Any ideas ?

Me too. I was running Bitcoin ABC 0.16.1 and it got stuck on block 530361 (same on two different installations).
I've read somewhere that the network protocol changed after block 530361.
Then I downloaded the latest 17.3.0  but it still doesn't work.

However I'd need to keep 0.16.1 because - as to my knowledge - later versions don't work with Armory.

Anybody knows how to get it un-stuck from block 530361 ?

You should run command to reconsider block that was stuck. See here for details https://github.com/Bitcoin-ABC/bitcoin-abc/issues/213

I'd suggest you delete/rename the blocks and chainstate command just to see if that does anything.
I don't think it'll do much though as it looks like there is just a connection issue caused somewhere - but if you both have it maybe it will.
7896  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: June 29, 2018, 03:17:41 PM
Hello guys,

im a little bit courious about chip mixer. Could someone take a few minutes to explain me following things, to get slightly common with chipmixer.

- What was the main idea of chipmixer ?
- Do you have any Updates or News coming up next or are you working currently on something specific ?
- What makes it different from other similar apps?
- Short description of main features ?

Kind regards

Alex

One of the biggest differences with ChipMixer vs. other tumblers is that ChipMixer doesn’t charge a fee to use the service.  As far as I know, ChipMixer is the only mixer that is free to use. That’s the major difference between ChipMixer and everyone else.

Along with you being able to withdraw chips as private keys instead of the bitcoin so you can set your own fee.
There is also improved anonymity with this mixer as the chips that come out are a fixed size.

Is this for a university project?
If so, shouldn't you be able to answer most of your basic questions on your own, by reading the thread and website?

If this is for a research project then you're probably going to want to cite more than one site in your project, you could start by looking at the main features and the FAQ on chipmixer.com's actual website.
Stories and other info can be found by reading through this thread or looking at website review sites.

I'm not in Vegas, none of us are in Vegas that's not an excuse.
Where's the ground rent you have to pay and the taxes and the staff that need employing?
Who's a troll, I can't tell anymore. Is it you, is it them, is it wetsuit? You're all just spreading FUD everywhere.

We are not in Vegas but we use the same business model of giving away free stuff to bring customers in. We don't run a massive progressive slot jackpot funded by a 17% edge, we run a faucet, lotto and rewards program funded by a 5% house edge with NO OVERHEAD from multi-million (or in some cases billion) dollar brick/mortar casinos with 100s or 1000s of employees / wait staff, free drinks, etc.

Fixed.  See, like I said,  he leaves out the important details.  LMFAO.  The same business model is successful at 0% edge when it's done properly online (and no it doesnt require ads but it DOES require being licensed/registered in every applicable jurisdiction that you want to service) and yes I can give examples (erm, I already have but you keep reporting them and having them deleted because you're trying to hide the facts under the guise of some retarded forum rule that really doesnt apply when given context which the mods never read LMFAO).  Having an absurdly high 5% house edge online is just snake oil'ish (your terms not mine).  And not being registered/licensed (anywhere,  let alone in the US) is a huge red flag as well.  So stop talking like this is some sort of legit operation.  BECAUSE ITS NOT.  And you clowns wonder why I target you with my public bot haha.  #idiots

But there's not so.much profit when done your way and there are quite a few things to pay for:
1. The lottery jackpot
2. Affiliates
3. Free rollal
4. Reward points...

Also, this site is legit in a lot of countries and in ones that it isn't, there's not much they can do.

What's the snake oil stuff also?

Why bother with mining, if you can just invest the money in another country at a high interest rate.  Huh You will find that people from these third world countries would not even  use this service, because they get 10%+ per year in a Bank.

Currency risk. If the interest rate is that high in a country it is because the currency is devaluing against the reserve currencies. This fact is used to make a profit by professional traders with a carry trade.

I've never asked but I always assumed that the real point of the mining was to diversify. If the site has a bad month then the mining is there to provide another income.

Actually, banks in my country have interest rates of 3% max which is pretty off, however, if you invest in a company that gives business loans then you can usually get anywhere from 5-20% profit per year (the currency is as stable as currency Fiat currency can be).
