I know I sound like a broken record but this is why account selling should be banned.

You clean up the account sellers, with it go the signature hounds, the HYIP and Ponzi aritsts, some massive pumps and shitcoin schemes, organized FUDding, etc.

You do sound like a broken record and I still don't understand how you're not getting it.  How would banning the sale of accounts stop any of the above? It wouldn't even make a dent.
7902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon KDP on Bitcoin on: October 25, 2014, 06:25:50 AM
I don't believe that until I see at least six confirmations... Wink

Cheesy. Exactly. Post a screenshot at least, but those can easily be faked. Merely 'passing on info' isn't anything to get excited about either.
7903  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-10-22] Telegraph: CeX to adopt Bitcoin across the UK on: October 24, 2014, 08:37:19 AM
Great news. Been a big fan of Cex for years. Especially interesting that they're apparently keeping hold of the bitcoins. I wonder how they pay you for your stuff in bitcoins? Do they print some kind of receipt off with your bitcoins on or do they send it directly to your address via a QR code or something?

It would/could be a useful feature, but I don't know how many people would use it. Something similar has been suggested for mods I believe, though not sure whether it will be implemented or not.
7906  Other / Meta / Re: Sticky on Deletion Log? on: October 24, 2014, 08:22:04 AM
Autoban is probably users signing up on a banned connection, but I could be wrong.
Nuked is when a mod bans a user and deletes all their posts.
A user is banned for breaking the rules.
All different. Bans can range from a few days to a month or more, and users get them for breaking the rules. Usually your first ban will be a few days or a week.
You can contest it by emailing the provided email address or PM-ing an admin, but you're very unlikely to have it lifted either way.

Check that guy out. If you do a search you'll find a few other people selling them.

He probably will be. First thing I do is check a user's posts when people post in here about why their activity isn't rising and most of the time they've been shitposting.
7910  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering Loans [No Collateral] on: October 23, 2014, 07:05:09 AM
If you used the account as collateral what did you expect to happen? If he didn't change the email and password you could just take it back thus defeating the purpose of using it in the first place. I'm sure you'll get it back when you repay the loan.
i think he is implying that someone hacked into his account, changed his email then took out a loan against the account (as a way to quickly sell it).

It is also interesting that so much was loaned for a senior member account as most other loans with an un-trusted senior account are for .1 max

Ah, the old 'my account was hacked' excuse. And yeah, loaning so much even with an account as collateral is asking for trouble. 0.1 is probably worth the risk as you'd be getting a cheap account if he defaulted.

Mnporter2001 is a user here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=324795

According to his personal text he owns bitcoingenie so have you used that?

This is my account.(trollboxchamp)

Someone hacked it and changed the email. Are you in possesion of this account?

Pretty fucking lame. Someone needs to get a life.

Fuck btctalk. They let ppl change an accounts email without even logging into said email. Talk about flawed...

If you used the account as collateral what did you expect to happen? If he didn't change the email and password you could just take it back thus defeating the purpose of using it in the first place. I'm sure you'll get it back when you repay the loan.

You wont have to register again. The entire forum will be transferred over. No user stats will be lost.

Sorry if its said before but, is there an ETA for this? Ilove this old style look forum, but i know we need to evolve.

It'll likely be here early next year.

Thanks.

Still didn't get my coin from this :c

I didn't got my coins too ;c.

They pay these like 3 times per month so you just have to wait.
And then you will get much in one time Wink

Yeah, it takes a while and he sends them out in batches.
7916  Other / Off-topic / Re: Shaving discussion on: October 22, 2014, 08:06:11 AM
I hate shaving cos it always fucks up my skin, but I might try this way and see if it's any better. I've just been using a Gillette Mac 3 since I was a kid, but I might go for a traditional razor and blades as apparently they're better, much cheaper and last a hell of a lot longer.

When you say that is messes with your skin do you mean that you cut yourself or it leaves bumps (or both)?

If you're getting bumps then a DE might help. I have sensitive skin but with good technique and the right equipment I get a much cleaner, less irritable shave.

What's a DE? I don't really get cuts or spots, but just like tiny slightly red blotches and my skin just doesn't feel nice - quite tight. It goes away after a day or two, but I also hate looking like this:

7917  Other / Meta / Re: I think trust system default should be set at 3 on: October 22, 2014, 07:56:01 AM
Any objections or questions on my topic keep it constructive. I believe 3 so I see a users entire rep and not from this 'default' list

You can set it to level three yourself. I don't think this is a good idea having it as default though. It would be far too easy to become trusted then and people like Tradefortress would become default trusted not to mention loads of other scammers appearing green trusted too.

I think Default Trust should be removed completely. It's not accurate and it misleads new members.

What system would you propose in it's place?

We need a method to protect new members from hardened scammers, and the nature of Bitcoins means there are a LOT here.   Undecided

Yeah, it's not a perfect system but I don't think any system ever would be, nor have I seen someone suggest a better alternative, but If someone did I'm sure it would be considered.
7918  Other / Meta / Re: Ban appeal on: October 22, 2014, 07:48:05 AM
It's unlikely to be lifted, but you can try PM Badbear, but don't pester him if he doesn't respond as that won't get you anywhere.

How much do you want for it? I'm looking for the above which is under $600 but depends on the discount.

Do you have any decent music trackers? What or Waffles? If so, how much?
