7921  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-23] SoftBank Founder Masayoshi Son Lost $130 Million on Bitcoin on: April 24, 2019, 12:51:54 AM
Peter Briger was responsible for the recommendation. He is CEO of Fortress Investment Group. Which invests in companies such as Pantera Capital, Xapo among others. I believe that this news is not completely complete. I believe he has invested in companies and funds, not just Bitcoin. And eventually, it will recover the investment, even losing money buying at ATH and selling soon after.

I still have doubt over this news. Looks like he's not that professional when it comes to investing and only look for short-term gains. There's no loss as long as they don't sell it, or buying back when the price went deep. Didn't they do any study of Bitcoin to know the 'real value' of it and just went straight FOMOed?

Unbelievable.
7922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The middle ground for all skeptics and enthusiasts on: April 24, 2019, 12:36:09 AM
Bitcoin is indeed was created as a way of peer to peer transaction but I think it has been changed since many people use it for trading purpose and investment purpose. I still believe that the number of people who use bitcoin as currency is smaller than the number who use it as an investment tool/asset.

In his whitepaper satoshi originally wrote that Bitcoin is a peer to peer electronic currency systems, so I guess it should be compared to the same kind and not fiat in general. If we compare it to PayPal or something similar, though the volume of Bitcoin is not that big, but it already provides that alternative.

And yeah a lot of people use Bitcoin more as an investment instead of currency, so that's that. But if the volatility becomes more stable, I think they might start using some of their saving as currency.

7. Users claiming to be female with female pix on their social media

Can you give us some data on why users like this have a higher potential to scam you instead of those who use no picture or claiming to be male while actually a female and so on?

To be honest, I find this a bit surprising, I can understand some users might fake admin accounts by any means but using a female picture to scam? Like what? Are they promise you they'll send nudes if you send BTC or what?
7925  Economy / Reputation / Re: why the red mark? on: April 23, 2019, 05:33:09 AM
If I had to guess, though, I would probably say they you cancelling the signature campaign didn't do you any favors when it comes to their perception of whether or not it was a legitimate signature campaign to begin with.

Thought the same thing. One Privcy team, in fact, go as far to post in a thread saying that the campaign that OP started has nothing to do with them, so your behavior is really shady which is why your trust remains like that.

You have previously demonstrated an act of potential scam by starting a fake signature campaign from fake ICO with a self moderated thread to avoid questioning.

IIRC it was Privcy coin sig campaign, not an ICO.
7926  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Investors Be Ok With Taking Calculated Risks. on: April 23, 2019, 05:25:51 AM
For me the most important part is "control your emotions" in trading.

Investment and trading is not the same thing. OP actually talks about an investment which usually requires years before it finally turns into a good profit. I think those "newbie cryptocurrency investors" are not prepared to hold, or in other words, they don't want to invest but look for quick and short-term gains, which is more suitable with trading.

That's the basic rule, don't put emotions into investment and only invest the amount that you can afford to lose. If those two are not fulfilled then you won't be able to make a good investment.

still mine this coin but When goto touch 1 USD ?

This is Indonesian board so you should post in Bahasa Indonesia if you can. Anyway, for your question, I doubt anyone can answer that with 100% accuracy. You should hope this project can continue delivering their promise. The price will come later.
7929  Local / Trading dan Spekulasi / Re: [DISKUSI] Harga Altcoins - XRP, BCH, LTC, EOS, dll on: April 23, 2019, 02:42:38 AM

Btw sign miracle tele rame bener spamnya.
7930  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Nano Ledger S vs Electrum Receive Address Number? on: April 23, 2019, 02:29:19 AM
You can use Electrum with segwit address too (or native segwit). Judging by your story it seems either you use an old address to generate your address and then import it to Electrum.

Anyway, seems like your site uses manual withdrawal. Hopefully, there won't be any problem with your transaction.
7931  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: LEDGER NANO S on: April 23, 2019, 02:18:49 AM
Yea there is no Chrome app but you can see your BTG balance by installing the BTG app on the ledger, open BTC chrome app and open the BTG app on the ledger opens the BTG balance.

As far as I know, that might be the reason why you can't send it.

For the connectivity issue, what's the OS that you use? Have you tried changing the cable or USB port? Can it shows other coins balance and interact with it?
7932  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitlum.io Made LN Easy -Nodeless- No Channel Deposit and Fair Exchange & Wallet on: April 23, 2019, 02:09:51 AM
Go to "Pay" page, and there you will see payment field. You could put lightning invoice, or bitcoin address there.

So, as a User you don't need to worry what type of payment you do, just put data in the pay field, and payment method will be detected automatically.

If I only have LN balance, can I do it too?
I thought the addresses for that field is testnet address like what's generated by zap.
7933  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Confused, bitaddress.org generate 2 addresses on: April 23, 2019, 01:54:48 AM
- What if I send BTC to a BTC address and found it is in BCH address!!??

To make it clearer, it is not possible. If you send your BTC to a BTC address and not mistakenly type a BCH address then you'll find your BTC on your BTC address. Even if your BTC and BCH address is the same, it still operates on different chains. So it won't show up suddenly when you check that address on your BCH wallet.

7934  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Satoshi's treasure on: April 23, 2019, 01:46:45 AM
And I'm confuse on how you landed and saw this site? I've searched few keywords over the web and haven't seen anything related to this. Are you the owner of this site?

Either he's the owner or part of the team. OP post history shows that he's part of several projects in the past so I don't doubt he can run a new project like this.

Especially considering how new the site is and the unique xyz domain for gambling site.

7936  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance going to delisted BitcoinSV on: April 22, 2019, 05:11:06 AM
After all someone as powerful as Craig Wright (even though we hate him lets face that he single handedly lowered the price of bitcoin which makes him powerful)

What did he do? Any proof that he's the one crash Bitcoin price?

I assume you're talking about the hash war drama. In my opinion, it's just the market reaction, they're afraid or using this opportunity to short Bitcoin because CSW and the gang are using Bitcoin to fuel their war (of the irony). He's not really powerful, it's people that are paranoid or clever to use this opportunity to short and buy again when it's cheaper.
7937  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader for Hire on: April 22, 2019, 04:58:19 AM
Keep in mind, I am only looking to work with people that will not run away after I make them profit and then not pay me.
PM me only if you are serious, and have more than 0.2 btc that you can trade with.

You might want to use an escrow for this or a 2-of-3 multisig address. The owner would send the money to them and then they'll pay you based on the profits that you made on your trade on a weekly basis.

Why not use a cryptocurrency trading bot instead? Like Gunbot

I think this option is safer instead of allowing you to access the owner exchange account. There's no need for them to expose their email and password, they just need to give you the API access.

And I cannot prove you are as accurate as you mentioned.

Yeah, showing his real portfolio/trade history might increase the confidence though.
7938  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: LEDGER NANO S on: April 22, 2019, 04:36:10 AM
Another issue i have is the BTG - I am unable to retrieve my coins on the Ledger live. But using the Chrome app i can see the coins are there, but i am unable to send BTG out of the Chrome App.

Have you installed the BTG app on Ledger Live? If you've done it already, then does that means it didn't show up in your balance?
If the issue is the latter then it might be your connectivity issue.

IIRC there is no chrome app for BTG, isn't it?
7939  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-20]Serena Williams Puts Bitcoin (BTC) and Crypto Back in the Mainstream on: April 22, 2019, 04:27:14 AM
Non news is what I consider this. I can't think of a single reason why anyone would value this and consider it bullish for Bitcoin.

Anything that is related and new can be used by the media to create a story. Hell, they can even make 500 words news from someone tweet.

That's just how most media works these days, no surprise for me.

Btw, this 'news' might be a good thing though, at least her fans would hear about Bitcoin.
7940  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freewallet delaying refunding me for a failed exchange on: April 22, 2019, 04:15:07 AM
I guess you're looking for a quick exchange without using any centralized exchange. After some little browsing, it seems that they use Changelly for this exchange purpose (https://freewallet.org/exchange). So you should protest to Changelly I suppose.
