7921  Other / Meta / Re: HOW do I get merit? on: January 01, 2019, 08:45:22 PM
Yeah, judging from posts like this, I'm very surprised you haven't earned merits:

literally kill yourself my man.
**edit***:
Samples of High quality posts from OP
Aw, crap you beat me to it before I fully read the thread.  Yeah, that was the one that stuck out the most to me.

I also have my suspicions about this account having a huge posting gap, and looks like someone else did as well:

this account woke up in june after zero posts in about 1 1/2 years during which time he learned chinese judging by the post history Wink

Stinks of hacked / purchased account.  Probably needs red flagging

對我會講中文。 I speak chinese fluently due to having lived there a long time. People can be bilingual without being a scammer. If you delve REALLY far back into my post history you will see I post in Chinese years ago too. Talking about ETH back before it was $2

But he did post this in 2015 and at least one more in the Chinese section (I stopped looking at the oldest posts after about 6 pages), in his defense:
最強的應該是《以太》以經快賣完了! 快點買!

That said, you JUST heard about the merit system?  I'm very skeptical of that claim, since you haven't exactly been inactive throughout 2018.  In any case, your posts in 2018 pretty much sucked just from a quick glance, and it's not likely anyone is going to go back to search for good ones you may have made long ago.  And tone down the font size, dude.
7922  Other / Meta / Re: My account was Banned on: January 01, 2019, 03:05:20 PM
But you have a point, don't reply these threads but the banned user also have rights to ask why they have been banned, right?
Sure, they do have that right--but in this case, OP knows exactly what he did and wasn't asking what he did wrong.  He was begging for mercy with a sob story, and other members need to explain to him that his ban isn't going to be lifted no matter what excuse he gives.  If his neice's education was that important to pay for, he would have done well not to resort to content theft.

The reason he gave is commonly called an excuse, which may or may not be true anyway and nobody has any way of verifying it.  If it evokes sympathy in anyone here, you're likely being played for a sucker.  It's good practice not to believe at least 75% of what you read on the internet, and that number skyrockets in situations like this when someone is trying not to lose his source of income from a "job" that he wasn't qualified to do anyway.
7923  Other / Meta / Re: My account was banned. why? on: January 01, 2019, 12:56:51 AM
Good to know I'm not the only one. <snip>
Hell no you're not, and the entire post you wrote could have come from my brain and through my keyboard--and that's the main reason why I don't go to sections like Bitcoin Discussion anymore.  And what makes it all the more frustrating is that these word-salad servers are actually getting paid to write that crap.  I think out in the East in some places, there are "shitposting houses" in which live about 50 people, and they probably are run like those WoW gold-mining slave rings that used to exist, where kids would sit at computers for 36 hours straight fighting enemies for gold until they got DVTs from blood stasis.

The shitpost house's rent is probably paid from the proceeds of the shitposting, and there's probably a shitpost pimp overseeing everyone and making sure the mucus-dribbling desperates are cranking out enough shitposts to meet whatever the quota is.  I imagine such a place is part brothel, part call center, part boiler room scam center.  The shitpost houses probably smell like sweat and some kind of hot spice, and there are probably bunk beds and/or sleeping bags all over the place.

Anyone else ever have that kind of perception about where all this spam comes from?
7924  Other / Meta / Re: My account was banned. why? on: January 01, 2019, 12:22:23 AM
I may have forgotten. but this is not fair
That's a good one.  Because you forgot you broke a rule, you don't deserve the punishment.  You'll see how that flies with the mods (and everyone else).  Nice knowin' ya, bud.

Edit:
That's just from the last page of your post history. Looks very fair to me.
Hell yes it does.  And you know what?  I bet he probably doens't remember because he's working on a shitposting farm with dozens of accounts under his control and lost track of which account did the plagiarism, which did the spamming, etc.

You know, I hear Nike is hiring in their sweatshops and there may be local businesses hiring wherever you live, OP.  Bitcointalk isn't the only "job" you can do, and you do it poorly anyway and thus should be shitcanned immediately.  Oh wait, you already have.
7925  Other / Meta / Re: My account was banned. why? on: December 31, 2018, 11:51:16 PM
LOL, you write posts like this, and that's only one of a few I can see, probably because the rest of your posts are in spam mega threads or in the bounty sections.  Though you don't get banned for it, your English isn't good enough to be understood without having to make assumptions about what you're trying to say.

And honestly, if you wrote your posts in plain English they still wouldn't be good because they're not constructive.  They're just generic statements about simple things that everyone knows about.  But I betcha it's plagiarism anyway.  Shitposters just can't keep from resorting to copying other people's posts or content from the internet in order to make their campaign quota.  But we'll see.

Edit:
It's nice that you send my post in June. What is the harm to my forum for sharing my information? English may not be very good, but excuses are ridiculous. good work . forgetting egoism is not good.
You don't see the problem because you aren't in a position to judge how bad your English is.  It's not my egotism, it's your incoherency that's the issue.  Some of your sentences don't make sense to someone who can speak English.  "It's nice that you send my post in June." makes no sense whatsoever to me, so I have to play a stupid fucking word substitution game and figure out if you meant to say "saw" instead of "send" and a whole bunch of other mental gynmastics.  And my point is that the end result isn't worth it.

What's the harm?  Wasting people's time and drowning out good posts with shitposts are two of the big ones I can think of.  It would be forgivable if you were writing stuff that was deep and thoughtful, but you don't.

Can someone else verify that it was a translation version of plagiarism?
7928  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what do you think about post rules and merit bitcointalk on: December 31, 2018, 05:54:16 PM
It is not made by someone else, he is the one, who asked the most asked question of the year, once again.  Grin
There's a misunderstanding, I think.  I was referring in that case to the post below it:

post rule I think that is important to keep forum clearly with useful staff, but the merit requires are so high, a little people could do it for others.
7929  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need help with an oddball post by xysheeh03 on: December 31, 2018, 04:49:23 PM
If the user is cleaver then they can use article spinner to avoid getting caught. Article spinners are seo tools which rewrite an entire article using synonyms.
Yeah, I'm aware of article spinners--such an ugly use of technology, IMO.  I'm also aware of my own limitations in doing detective work on stuff like this, and I know there are members here who can work magic in unspinning or re-translating a plagiarized post.  I do appreciate the links to those tools.

91% unique, it says.  Bitcointalk doesn't exactly have an official cutoff for what constitutes plagiarism.  Does anyone have something like that, e.g., if something is 75% or above unique, it's considered an original work?
7930  Economy / Reputation / Re: Need help with an oddball post by xysheeh03 on: December 31, 2018, 04:31:12 PM
May be the use gave it a shot and really created something from his own.
Yeah, but for one thing, I doubt it.  Shitposters rarely break their pattern of one-line simpleton garbage to write a whole essay like that.

Second, the quoted post shows a much greater understanding of bitcoin/blockchain tech than the rest of his posts do, and while the English isn't perfect, it looks different enough from the rest of his posts to stick out like a sore pecker.  No matter how hard I tried, I wouldn't be able to improve my French if I tried to make the best post I possibly could in the French section.

There's no way in my mind that a consistent shitposter who writes posts like these:

For me, to be the most valuable crypto currency coin yes, it has reached its goal. But if its about goal to be recognized around the globe, i think its not that far that bitcoun has come, because there are some country that are not allowing bitcoins legally. However this thing must not make bitcoun enthusiast go weak, even it will make us to be strong and more unite to be able the bitcoin reached its goal.
Prices of btc always expected to go up yearly. And that's a good thing to the investors and traders.
I think yes, although we do not know the outcome of the market's future, we can say to that bitcoin can continue to decrease its price, or maybe we can predict the reverse way. But its just a guess opinion we never know the future of the market.
It is said in the graphs and datas that the future of bitcoin is increasing positively. And this is a good issue on the part of bitcoin investors, that they might have earn a profit on increasing bitcoins price. Thus bitcoin will grow its fundamental and its influence around the world.

Do you really think an expert on blockchain tech who could write a long essay on bitcoin/blockchain would keep posting empty nonsense posts like the above?  They might be long enough to satisfy a sig campaign character minimum, but they say absolutely nothing useful.
7931  Economy / Services / Re: [BitBlender] Signature Campaign - Seniors and up (Open) on: December 31, 2018, 04:20:54 PM
I sent my application again and hoped I was chosen
I will check back regularly, I will wear everything required on my profile on joining, applying to multiple campaigns presently
<snip>
Please pm me if you accept me... you seem to be busy alot.
Etc., etc.

Are you people blind or something?  Lutpin has essentially abandoned this campaign and no word has been given about it except Lutpin's second to last post here on Nov. 27, which is ambiguous at best:

I'm preparing payments to make up for the missed rounds.
They'll be sent out tomorrow morning.

After that, the campaign will switch from bi-weekly payments to monthly rounds,
but more about that once the payments have been made.

I'll also talk to bitblender about whether, and if how, to transfer the campaign.
So it's not clear if the campaign participants are still getting paid, since it's been just over a month since the last payment Lutpin verified, and we also know he's not managing the 777Coin and Bitvest campaigns anymore.  If you guys are applying to this campaign, you're either very desperate or very foolish.  I wouldn't trust any campaign lightlord or Lutpin have any part of.  Read the posts here and use your heads for something other than a hat rack.

Edit:
Seriously now, you are encouraging sheeple to do some actual reading and thinking?
I know you're being facetious, but yes, I'm encouraging them to do both of those things.  Unfortunately what we'll probably see after this are just more applications to a campaign that's likely dead and with either no manager or one with a recent track record of delaying payments and not communicating with the campaign participants.  Lightlord is in charge of all of this, yet he keeps silent.

Anyone wearing the BitBlender signature ought to consider themselves working for free until proven otherwise, and I think any new applicants are just wasting their time.
7932  Economy / Reputation / Need help with an oddball post by xysheeh03 on: December 31, 2018, 04:08:32 PM
I noticed this post by xysheeh03 in B&H, a section which I recently unblocked:

Because of this, many newbies will be inspired and motivated because of your understanding and goodwill. I hope I belong to those who are granted.
It's obviously a typical shitpost written in piss-poor English.  Since I'm on the hunt for newbies to merit, I checked his post history and found this one he made recently:

What is the blockchain technology? A simple and easy explanation for beginners about the basics of technology.
If you start out in the world of digital currencies, either by investing or mining in any currency, "Blocking Technology" will be the word you listen to, also known as block chain technology, and you will see its connection to topics such as encryption, currency protection from theft, how to transfer information to others and decentralization.

The importance of your understanding of technology and your understanding of the fundamentals of blockchain will improve your understanding of the digital currency and help you understand the market faster, especially as we see a large number of companies and governments that are starting to take advantage of the technology of the Blockchain because of its features and characteristics.

Basics of Blockchain Technology:
First of all, we must know that everything has a method of transmission. This method has a system of protection or encryption. For example, funds are placed in banks and must be withdrawn by the same signature or presence. However, in the world of blockchain technology and speed, a modern principle is emerging which is better, faster and safer than any other means.

Blockchain technology is a decentralized technique for storage and financial transactions and can not be modified or manipulated. For example, when you request transfer of funds to another account anywhere, this currency moves to a pool of currencies or lumps. The blockers send the agreed number or number of funds to the other account and register The number of blocks within this account.
The word "blockchain" means block mass and follows the numbers together. In this way, it can be said that the technology of the blockichain is a large digital book recorded within millions of figures such as transfers and accounts and dates of their own, the production of a fictitious person called the name of Satoshi Nakamoto, and also must be aware of the huge amount of funds transferred by the Blockchain and more than one hundred billion. All of which were made safely and easily without the need for an intermediary.

The safety of Blockchain technology does not rely on storing data stored in one place, but depends on storing it through millions of servers and places within a common database for all. This, of course, is difficult and even impossible to penetrate because millions of devices can not be accessed simultaneously. This information is available and available to all. In other words, but it is impossible to change them and tamper with them, and it is similar to the BitTorrent download system, which makes all its data decentralized.
One of the most important features of encryption for the current security situation, such as username, password is the adoption of the technology of the Blockchain to encrypt and protect information, and the origin of the existence of a network of safety (public - private) as the company produces the public safety is a sequence of symbols and letters and numbers, Private security is the number that the account holder creates and must save and protect.

Uses of blockchain technology:
The technology of the block chain is not limited to its use of financial services through the conversion of digital currencies, on the contrary, some countries, such as Honduras, are used to register land and know their owners through full encryption and smart contracts, which means away from paper transactions such as contracts and others and the trend towards more means, and followed by many countries such as Georgia and Sweden, although the details of the project is not 100% clear, but a very wonderful step.
It can also be used in the elections in all its forms. The citizen can identify his candidate during the election period and send his opinion to the General Election Commission, which in turn receives the information and knowledge of the winning candidate, and with the development of various stages and technological trends. So that it is not only for money.

"Know Your Customer" or (KYC) and anti-money laundering procedures:
The currency of Bitcoin and some digital currencies can be abused by some to take them away to suspicious tracks, but today some companies are anti-money laundering services, which may help in the spread of the technology and acceptance of the Blockchain by more countries, is to follow the global anti-money laundering systems for and a number of new projects have emerged in this area, including the traceto project, which aims to build a decentralized network of customer identification procedures.
The above post is nothing like what he usually posts, but after googling parts of it I can't find proof of plagiarism.  There was a question asked in that thread as to whether he'd translated it from somewhere.

Does anyone feel like doing any detective work on this post?  I have a very strong suspicion that this is plagiarism.
7933  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what do you think about post rules and merit bitcointalk on: December 31, 2018, 02:33:14 PM
why are newbie posts always considered spam?
Because of bullshit posts like this one you made, a question that's been answered many times since January:

is it possible for me to get merit
And this one made by someone else, which makes no sense to me what he's trying to say:

post rule I think that is important to keep forum clearly with useful staff, but the merit requires are so high, a little people could do it for others.

The problem is that the main section on bitcointalk is in English, and many noobs who came here because they heard their neighbors/family/coworkers/pagpag eaters living on the street/whoever were making big money just by posting.  Then they come here and find out that not only do they have nothing to say about bitcoin, but they can't even express basic thoughts coherently in English--and that other, more well-established members don't appreciate this, because it makes the forum unreadable, literally.

The merit system was designed to combat the above situation.  Hell yes it's hard for non-English speakers to earn merits unless they do so on the local boards OR if they make valued contributions to the community in the form of scam-busting or the like.  I've seen a few members rank up based on how helpful they are and not because their English is excellent.
7934  Other / Meta / Re: What do u mean? Freeze? Mr officer?! on: December 31, 2018, 02:20:40 PM
Have you heard of rule 25?
I assume you're talking about the ban evasion rule (might be good to give a link to the rule you're referring to).  It's not clear what the timeline is here, whether OP did all of this while his ban was in effect or after it'd been lifted.  Either way, the newly-created username seems to me to be too close to Xal0lex to be anything other than an attempt to spite Xal0lex, especially when there are documented hard feelings between the two of them.

just look at how he interprets the rules https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2613277.msg48983980#msg48983980. he's a real moron.
Any chance you could translate that to English?  You're posting in the English section, and it should be a courtesy done for those who don't speak Russian.
7935  Other / Meta / Re: Forum suggestion for countering low quality on: December 30, 2018, 10:38:54 PM
everyone was a newbie at once, and i believe they all should have the same chances like those previews newbies who now ranked up.
Chances to do what? Rank up?

You've been here since April and I don't think you understand why the merit system was put in place or why the 1-merit requirement to rank up to Jr. Member was implemented.  You just said that shitposting noobs vastly outnumber the good ones--that's the exact reason why those things were done, and the problem was much, much worse before January 2018.  The good noobs will rank up, the bad ones won't.  That's fair, and I'll say it again: all noobs can post as they please.

Or did you mean noobs should have the same chance to join signature campaigns?  It's not quite clear what you're arguing here.
7936  Other / Meta / Re: Forum suggestion for countering low quality on: December 30, 2018, 09:34:42 PM
I don't understand why many people relate poor quality / shitposts /spam posts to newbies or lower rank members. this is 100% wrong.

why would you limit a newbie who has a huge amount of knowledge just because he recently joined the forum?

look around the technical and series discussion, you will be amazed , many members who joined recently are top notch geeks.

allow everyone to post, let the members decide who is worthy and who is not,  by merting and commenting on quality posts.

Does what you just wrote above contradict anything I just wrote a couple of posts above you?

Putting a restriction on newbie's signatures doesn't keep any of them from posting.  It just keeps them from earning money from their output, which is usually a bunch of shitposts.  If the solution was merit-based, a legitimate newbie member ought to have no problem earning whatever the requirement is, albeit probably slowly--but that was anticipated since the beginning of the merit system anyway.

It certainly fits what OP wrote and what I gave a personal example of in my post:

There are just so many low quality posts that sometimes makes me feel as if nobody reads the topic but rather just rambles non constructive answer based on topic title.

In other words, you're making a non-argument and I'd already written how restricting newbies/Jr. Members from being able to advertise in their sig space doesn't prevent them from making all of those brilliant posts you claim they do.

look around the technical and series discussion, you will be amazed , many members who joined recently are top notch geeks.
If that's true, then they shouldn't have a problem advancing in rank if that's important to them.  But if you think it's not the low-ranked members who are the primary problem, obviously you haven't ready many threads in Altcoin/Bitcoin Discussion.  Not to mention the rest of the altcoin section, the ANN, bounties, and tokens parts in particular.  The shitposting noobs have also started to infest Economics, Trading Discussion, and Speculation as well.  Go read some threads in all those sections and then tell me if you disagree with me 100%.
7937  Economy / Reputation / Re: supermine account might be hacked/bought. Need opinions. on: December 30, 2018, 06:36:17 PM
I know I'm not DT, but I thought I'd chip in anyway.

Aw, come on.  This was the only thing I asked for:
Can someone with some brains take a look at his post history and tell me if they agree with me or not?
....and you certainly have a well-oiled noggin, so your input is much appreciated.  I did tag him, but I didn't notify Hhampuz.  I've already posted in the Bitvest.io campaign thread (which he's managing) regarding lightlord and his previous campaign manager, and I don't feel like whacking the bee's nest in Hhampuz's eyes.  If someone else feels like doing that, it might be a good idea--but Hhampuz is a competent campaign manager and I have a feeling he'll discover the red trust before the next payday.

Either way, it doesn't bother me what he does.  I just want to hear arguments for and against the tagging of supermine.
7938  Other / Meta / Re: Forum suggestion for countering low quality on: December 30, 2018, 06:22:59 PM
There are just so many low quality posts that sometimes makes me feel as if nobody reads the topic but rather just rambles non constructive answer based on topic title.
I hear you totally.  I've been involved in a thread in the Economics section, one that hasn't turned into a mega spam thread yet and one I'm interested in enough such that I requested help from smarty-pants math and economics members.  I just posted this yesterday:

Have you ever considered inflation?
You've got to be joking, you shitposter.  Obviously you haven't read this entire thread or even all of the first page, where I mentioned it and made it a sticking point for this entire thread.  You're a great example of why things can't be discussed in Economics reasonably, because it's not a discussion, it's a shitpost-a-thon

And that's not the first time I've written a response like that or noticed that someone was answering a question in a thread that had been answered 100 times already.  I even noticed it in my early days here with that (in my brain) infamous bitcoin for cupcakes thread.

A lot of what you suggested has pretty much been written before, and I'm fairly sure that Theymos knows what possible solutions he could implement.  He tweaks the system in small ways with long intervals in between changes.  Since he just made the 1-merit requirement for ranking up to Jr. Member, I figure he's going to see how that works before doing anything else.  Your suggestions aren't bad; they're just not new.

As stated, theymos is generally against any more restrictions to new members posting
*sigh*

Putting a restriction on newbie's signatures doesn't keep any of them from posting.  It just keeps them from earning money from their output, which is usually a bunch of shitposts.  If the solution was merit-based, a legitimate newbie member ought to have no problem earning whatever the requirement is, albeit probably slowly--but that was anticipated since the beginning of the merit system anyway.
7939  Economy / Reputation / Re: supermine account might be hacked/bought. Need opinions. on: December 30, 2018, 03:39:11 AM
the new owner is in no way spamming anything on the forum and also handling the account in a spam-free way from much time now. So, I would suggest not tagging the account red for this or just put a neutral about change of hands of the account.
Thank you for your opinion, but I think we're debating whether spamming=shitposting.  Supermine is currently doing the latter, which is exactly why he acquired the account and one of many reasons why account dealing is unsavory.  He's getting tagged, not for being a spammer/shitposter, but for being an account buyer--and he could have hacked the account, too.
7940  Economy / Reputation / Re: supermine account might be hacked/bought. Need opinions. on: December 30, 2018, 02:23:12 AM
Yes. There is nothing to disagree with (other than me having brains perhaps - that's just libel).
<snip>
Edit: ask them something in German Smiley.
Delicious brain you have, suchmoon.  But like all pharma-zombies, I would like to get as many brains here as possible, especially from trusted and/or DT members.  Tagging someone based on post gap + change in post quality isn't exactly a tricky decision to make, but I'd like to hear some opinions.

And yeah, in one of his earlier posts he claimed he was located in Europe, and I'm assuming you saw he posted in the German section or I missed a post where he gave that away. Derp.  I just clicked on your link and saw the German post.

Shitposters and trolls have no brains, therefore this thread is self-moderated.
