7941  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Payment method to trade with and allow Visa withdrawal? on: March 19, 2017, 08:31:58 AM
Every answer here makes me think that no one read the thread or the replies in it, so I'm still looking for a service like PayPal that allow you me to link my Visa card to it. For the last time, I'm not looking for bitcoin debit cards or anything similar, I need something used, known and have the ability to link my visa card to so I withdraw my fiat money to it.
7942  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: buy bitcoin in lebanon ? on: March 19, 2017, 08:22:53 AM
Believe me, you should feel great no being able to use exchanges that ask you for ID because If you was able to, that will only screw your privacy. As an alternative, I suggest using Virwox.com, It's one of the oldest exchange out there, support multiple payment methods like PayPal, Skrill etc...and as you asked, no ID required, there is some fees and limits that you will need to deal with though.
To use virwox you need a verified paypal account if your to do any trading with that way of payment.

Maybe localbitcoins if you can find a local person to trade with would be your best bet.

I have my PayPal account verified and I didn't need to use any ID in order to send or receive funds. PayPal verification was never easier then It is right now with all the virtual visa cards.
7943  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the price of Bitcoin going down so fast? on: March 18, 2017, 04:00:15 PM
I don't think It has anything to do with Bitcoin Unlimited personally, Instead, I think people are investing on DASH and Ethereum as we have seen a really decent price increase in them. (huge for DASH!) People are probably trying to buy enough DASH and start their Masternodes.
7944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit (26.8%) vs Bitcoin Unlimited (32.2%) on: March 18, 2017, 03:47:21 PM

I dont believe the results are accurate.  With all the alt coin pumping going around and people trying to destroy BTC it seems.

What are you talking about? those percentages are pretty accurate because the hashing power is generated by the miners and altcoin pumping and dumping has nothing to do with that.

7946  Economy / Exchanges / Why you should stop using Coinbase on: March 18, 2017, 02:35:06 PM
Coinbase made a few modifications lately and I think some of them means that you guys should stop using them because It's 100% against your privacy and security (for long term).

Some people were using Coinbase and Xapo because they were paying the transaction fees on your behalf, well, not anymore. Coinbase decided to stop doing that.
Another thing worth mentioning is that they are planning to make people verify their ID using Live webcam! I suggest checking the links below for more information's about the other modifications that are going to touch Coinbase. If this is not enough for people to leave and stop using them, then I don't know what will make them do so. Without forgetting the fact that they have some serious problems with the IRS.

7947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What's up with the high volume of unconfirmed transactions??? on: March 18, 2017, 01:28:51 PM
They changed the UI and their logo etc... I guess It's due the fact that there was a lot of phishing attempts. The link I gave you allow you to watch the live transactions because logically, the new transactions are always unconfirmed or you have this  which is almost the same and there is BitBonkers which is more creative but you can't see enough details like on blockexplorers.

7948  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-03-17]Could This Be The End For Bitcoin Unlimited? on: March 18, 2017, 01:20:26 PM
I thought of the same thing when I first saw Coinbase and Bitfinex decision on listing BU as an Altcoin but here is the thing, the hashing power didn't decrease since those announcements has been made and the node crashing bug has been found so unless we see a significant decrease, we cannot say It's dead.
7949  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: March 18, 2017, 12:59:50 PM
The new version is out (1.21.0) and here is the changelog:

Except another version in 31th March, for more details, I suggest checking the release page on the website.
7950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What's up with the high volume of unconfirmed transactions??? on: March 18, 2017, 07:27:41 AM
What unconfirmed transactions? there is basically 3,800 unconfirmed transaction right now and that's pretty good, I've seen it higher, much higher before. https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions
7951  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I got unconfirmed transaction for 1 week on: March 17, 2017, 06:53:41 AM
I'm not sure If you still have any chances on getting this transaction confirmed after one week or not, but here, you could give it a try: http://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
7952  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: when setting servers , what does this "limits" mean on: March 17, 2017, 06:41:35 AM
That should be the number of addresses you could have while being connected to that server as far as I know, because servers have the ability to know what address belong to you (to your wallet).
7953  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC.com Transaction Accelerator on: March 16, 2017, 06:18:20 PM
I still hate the fact that they don't accept bitcoin as a payment method because this doesn't make much sense but I like the gesture they made recently:

Quote
Refund: If your transaction is not confirmed within 12 hours, we will fully refund to you automatically. Refund will be transferred back to your card in 10 ~ 15 days. This policy is not applicable to the transactions which are removed or double-spent during the acceleration process.

This will make more people use this service when they need this urgently and in the same time, they have guarantees that their transactions will either get confirmed or they get refunded instead.
7954  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: is there a proof, that private keys and seed are never sent to their servers? on: March 16, 2017, 05:40:25 PM
if you setup a virtual maschine where you just have electrum, it should be as safe as a cold storage then right?

Anything that have access to the internet, shouldn't be considered as something safe, If you are speaking about Electrum servers, then no, the servers only know the addresses you are controlling and nothing else. If you are speaking about the servers of VMware or whatever software you are using then I doubt it as those companies have a reputation to maintain.

If you want something safe and you have a lot of bitcoins while contiuing to use them on a regular basis then I would go with Hardware wallets (Ledger Nano S) to be more specific.
7955  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Purpose me a good API to receive payments for my application on: March 16, 2017, 04:53:21 PM
I never heard about anyone receiving payments and getting such high fees using blocktrail honestly, If you are going to receive great amounts and you are not planning to run your own bitcoind and do the programming part your self, then I suggest using BitPay, It's what most big businesses use.
7956  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Amazon Gift Card Shop [65%-70%] on: March 16, 2017, 03:12:05 PM
I may be interested in buying the 20$ gift card, how much do you want for it? (using preev.com rates) and If I ever decide to buy the other cards, I will prefer If we use an escrow instead of autobuy links.
7957  Other / Politics & Society / France: Suspect arrested after shooting at Grasse school on: March 16, 2017, 02:06:03 PM

7958  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 13-Mar-2017] on: March 16, 2017, 01:41:40 PM
Hello!

Sorry for the stupid question.
Please advise how do I get the Signature itself created? How active banners are made here on the website? ..So I can launch a Signature Campaign

Thanks in advance!

You want to make your own signature to give it to people so they advertise your product/service? If yes, then I would recommend professional designers to this job for you. SFR10 should be a great option: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1136108.0 (0.04BTC to 0.15BTC)
7959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What SolidX ETF means to the bitcoin community? on: March 16, 2017, 01:23:45 PM
We missed SolidX ETF because everyone was so focused on Winklevoss' COIN ETF instead. With COIN ETF gone community is focusing on 'next big thing' we have - SolidX.

SolidX statement:  "the SolidX Bitcoin Trust will protect U.S. consumers in a way that truly bears in mind the best interest of such consumers."

Considering that SEC rejected COIN ETF because it was too risky and offered no protection for investors in case of BTC crash then maybe SolidX with their BTC insurance will hit the jackpot?

I see, If I remember correctly, the Winklevoss ETF had 100 million dollar, how much is it when It comes to SolidX? If they have less money, I think It will just makes their chances even less then the twins ETF.
7960  Economy / Exchanges / Re: From UK, Overall cheapest places to buy bitcoins in GBP? on: March 15, 2017, 04:26:59 PM
It's always cheaper to trade with individuals using P2P and decentralized platforms, I have never used LocalBitcoins before so I'm not sure If they charge any fees for their services or not, I however suggest trading with people on the currency exchange section here, there is any payment method you could think of and you can ask for the rates while making a thread, I must warn you though, there are some scammers out there so always use an escrow and don't trade with low ranked people.
