I am shocked after saw the result of yesterday's match, because they lost three early wickets.Only at last over I saw that pollard was knocking the ball too hard.Let's see what will happen today CSK vs RR,as always my pick will be CSK.

No shocking moment for me because we have seen some really unexpected results in this IPL season so far so everything can happen anytime in the match.
I liked when Pollard hit the ball and got caught in the boundary, a replay showed that Pollard was about to celebrate his team's win with that shot but then he noticed the catch and walked away disappointedly.

Another game with an unexpected outcome. I bet on Mumbai and I honestly was not sure whether they could pull off the big chase, but they proved me wrong. Punjab messed up big time here. Loving IPL even more now!
I couldn't believe that MI would win the match. I had bet for them and regretted. When 4th wicket gone, I gave up and didn't watch for some next over thinking that KXIP will win but I forgot that Pollard is still there and it's possible to win.

It was a good chase, I enjoyed it thoroughly. at one time it was looking tough when run rate was going up to 13 rpo. but boy oh boy!! Pollard did turn the table and played the Captain's inning.

Last over was good as well. anything could have happened when Pollard got out but Aljari Joseph and Rahul Chahar hold their nerve well in last.

Small image but big imagination for humankind. Shout out to Katie Bauman (researcher). She led the development of the algorithm for capturing image and as a result we are seeing the image of black hole.

Most Bulgarian Bitcoiners are skeptical if their government was able to securely store private keys.
Every big government will be targeting them if Bitcoin spikes up enough.

With upgraded kind of democracy, I suppose  Huh

Mr. Roger is doing exceptionally well with BTC as well.

I have no desire to intake alcohol any time soon. The longer I stay dry, the better. If Rick has a bad day at the office and wants to go out for a drink, maybe I'll nurse one single beer so he's not drinking alone, but we'll see how that plays out. Also, spiking my triglyceride levels over the bad cholesterol limit was the final nail in the coffin to incentivize me to dry out and try to undo some damage.

I haven't consumed a drop of alcohol for five or more years and doubt I'll bother again. It wasn't for health reasons, I just got bored and disgusted by the behaviour of drunk people. Far too many people are fucking pitiful when on it.

They have their fun getting drunk. I have my fun sneering at them and when they pass out I fart in their mouth and slap them until their cheeks rupture. Everyone wins.

My only job is to drive my drunk buddies home every fucking time or take care of them.

I didn't put a single drop of alcohol in my body for 28 years and never smoked anything in my life. Now started drinking Rum occasionally but only in winters for the last 2 years.  only 6 times so far

You can't copy the brain.
A brain is something made out of matter.  Are you saying it is theoretically impossible (nevermind for now how difficult it would be in practice) to create a duplicate of a piece of matter that consists of the same kind of atoms in the same state?

I believe we're definitely goin' to see those artificially made-up brains in future:

Can We Copy the Brain?

3d printing going to play a big role in this as well.

3d printed brain-tissue-cells then sub conscience transfer with the AI or whatever brainy guys call it.

Shit load amount of Rats going to die in this process.

I doubt he will play after 2020, it's enough for him. CSK may find replacements but you know finding a captain like Dhoni is not quite easy. It's Dhoni's captaincy which can save at least 10 runs per innings. However, CSK has already passed their golden team when players like Bolinger, Ben Hilfenhaus, Hussey, Albie Morkel was there.

Dhoni is eying on 20-20 World cup too which is scheduled in 2020, after that it makes sense for him to retire for his own good and for the team too. I am sure he will pass responsibility to new talents such as Ishan Kishan and Rishab Pant after 2020. and there are high chances that in ODI he can retire after this world cup.

By the way, it was nice to see CSK to win yesterday.

Got bored Af  Grin Grin

Well, Finch is also playing good and no need to mention anything about Warner. However, I still think it will be better idea to keep Khawaja on XI and option from Finch and Warner, since Khawaja is playing better than Finch of course.

If I get to choose my playing XI for oz then Warner is my go-to opener any day be it Test Cricket or ODI. I highly rate him as a batsman, arguably one of the modern great. When comparing him with Khwaja (because he's new in ODI) and Finch (He sucks at Red ball cricket, so far) Warner is miles ahead of both of them and he's a complete batsman in this era. they don't come anywhere close to him despite how good they play.

The only drawback for Warner is his behavior. he's considered as the bad boy by CA and not because of Sand Paper Saga. somehow he managed to piss off very important people in Australian cricket with his rebel character. (Read: Salary hike incident).

This Chennai's pitch is very bad for 20-20 format. don't know what mumbo jumbo curators doing here. bottom line is this pitch turning majority of matches into the one-sided match.

@Sithara007 You might wanna try some old wine sometime Cheesy not only Harbhajan but majority player in CSK are old and their average age is above 30+ as a unit. so experience counts Cheesy
7973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: April 10, 2019, 05:26:16 AM
@Pffrt Agreed Khwaja playing very good cricket for Oz and it would be a big mistake if he didn't make into World cup squad. there is cutthroat but healthy competition in OZ team for the opening pair between Khwaja, Finch, and Warner.

Chances are all of them going to make in 15 men squad easily but in playing 11 only 2 can play.

Virat just doesn't take the risk which Dhoni used to take and still takes by shuffling his bowlers and setting the field. He doesn't have patience and sometimes comes first in order, second then third but mostly doesn't get the number of runs expected from him. RCB have been bad in bowling and batting and they need someone like Gayle again to give them runs.

I will talk about his Red Ball captaincy mostly because I don't consider IPL's success-failure in the bigger picture due to various reasons. We already covered that In ODI, Dhoni got his back, we have seen many times when towards the inning Dhoni take charge of Field positions, and Virat covers Long On- Long Off.

Virat takes a risk in Red Ball cricket. There is a reason we saw a drastic change in Indian bowling line up. Before the Indian team mostly used to rely on Spinners but Kohli pushed his 4-5 fast bowlers strategy in Red Ball cricket, and we are getting the results. But on Batting strategy and Team selection, he failed miserably. Result; we lost against Proteas and English.

Now back to IPL. It's an entirely different set-up. Win and lose margin depends on many factors, captaincy is one of them but will point out only one which is very important and defines the team performance during the whole season.

Does Virat have any say during the IPL auction or not?

It is not a horrifying death at all it is pretty funny in fact.
I don't care for poaching animals.

I don't care about poachers either but being killed by Elephant and then eaten by big cats sounds bad tbh.

but I understand your point of view because you may be seeing this incident as " hunter being hunted"

It could be a horrifying death if this guy was still alive while a pride of lions been eating him. I feel like there are much more of such cases in africa but most of them are simply not shown by the media.

Guess, he was already dead when the pride of lions ate him, it mentioned in The Guardian's article.

Quote
“His accomplices claimed to have carried his body to the road so that passersby could find it in the morning. They then vanished from the park.”

Don't you think it's an indirect pressure for him as a captain. What lacking in the RCB team is a good captaincy. A captain needs to know when to use which of his player. Dhoni is the best example. Give him an average team, he will make it an extra ordinary team.

To be honest I am not really surprised how Virat handles his RCB team in IPL. I have seen him choking or getting over excited on many occasion when playing Red Ball Cricket or White ball cricket. In shorter format he has Dhoni and Rohit, they keep him on the check regularly, I have mentioned this many times whenever I talk about Virat's captaincy.

I always feel that Batsman Virat overshadow Captain Kohli and his team in every format be it franchise cricket or International. Viart personally believes in giving his 100% when playing cricket and when he doesn't play cricket he's working hard on his fitness and cricketing skills. and he expects the same from his teammates but they are copying his beard style and Tattoo except for cricketing skills. When the team wins then every mistake hide behind the victory but when you are on losing end it looks pretty ugly.

When talking about the pressure of captaincy. he was too proud (or call cockiness) to accept his mistake on many occasions, Read South Africa, England Tour (Red Ball cricket) but now he slowly understanding that every player has a different skill set and not everybody can play like him. the good thing is He plays better cricket as a batsman when he feels the heat and pressure.

There is saying that "If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far go together" that's what he needs to learn from Dhoni if he wants to be great Captain.

@eaLiTy @Sithara007

100% agreed with you on this that the majority of cricket viewers belongs to South Asia but I don't see any wrong in this. Our discussion should focus on what ICC doing for World cricket, as of now they are going slow but they indeed trying hard in this regard.

I somehow agree with the @Sithara007 point of view because I am in favor of more countries participating in the Cricket World Cup but not accusations and name changing of World Cup lol.

@Royse bhai got tired repeating the same argument, again and again,  Grin As long as we are discussing cricket related issue within a healthy and respectful manner then it's all fine.
7979  Other / Politics & Society / Rhino Poacher killed by elephant then eaten by lions!! on: April 08, 2019, 05:48:24 PM
Animal Poaching is a serious crime in South Africa and from 2007-2014 Rhino poaching increased by 9,000% . after 2014 recorded incident went down but still
poaching incidents are quite high and Organized Crime still active in this business.

https://news.nationalgeographic.com/2018/01/wildlife-watch-rhino-poaching-crisis-continues-south-africa/

But this time it's another way around, Incident happened in Kruger National Park, South Africa.

On Tuesday 2nd April some of the poachers reached out to one of the accomplice poacher's family only to inform that, Elephant had killed their relative during the Rhino hunt. The family contacted the Regional Ranger, and then the search began only to find out that his body was eaten by Pride of lions and authorities just found the deceased's skull and pants in the end.

Don't know what to Call it, poetic justice of Mother nature or the extreme result of Karma. But this kind of death is really horrifying.

RCB should voluntarily leave the tournament, it's waste of time for them now LOL
Kohli needs to start practising for the world cup. :-P

Hahaha, I hope some reporter dare to say the same thing to Kohli during any press conference. Would be great to see Kohli's reaction after this and God save that reporter Cheesy. I bet he will use his trademark words B....C... hahaha

Personally, I don't care RCB losing all the game here, I consider this failure blessing in disguise for Kohli because now less pressure on him which is very necessary for him, I don't want to see break him down mentally or physically before the world cup and he can recharge his energy so that he can bring his "A" game in the World Cup as a captain. Batsman Kohli is all set for the World Cup.
