7961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are There Any Regulations for Bitcoin Casinos? on: April 14, 2018, 04:50:28 PM
I think that in most countries this does not yet exist, but certainly some are already advanced in this regard. The fact that there is no regulation in some cases is what attracts many users, because it has potential to attract people who live in countries where gambling is prohibited.
Gambling is prohibited in many countries. Again it is not prohibited but regulated in some countries. Overall this is the setting of the physical casinos. Bitcoin casinos (nowadays) are getting registered properly. But some are there which prefer the anonymity that crypto provides and not get registerd. Being registered only brings in more trouble. Taxation, legal problems with customers and all.

I mean i think there are but they are simple things such as age, etc

No. A lot more than that.
7962  Other / Meta / Re: TMAN'S guide to getting merit. on: April 14, 2018, 04:45:24 PM
-snip-

It is not a question of making anobody "unhappy" or "hurt" and in true sense everybody knows that emotions have got zero space in the internet. If someone trolls you either get with it or move on. I am happy seeing the merit system make a mess of the organised shitposting spree that bottomfeeding scum had going on in this forum for several years.

Again I am no happy seeing the threads coming up in "Meta" being a cry baby about merit.

While I do appreciate TMAN's effort in trying to help out potentially good posters get merits which I why I watch this thread, I hardly give my sMerits to any of them simply because they dont deserve a single sMerit.
7963  Other / Meta / Re: Merit sources should be increase in no. on: April 14, 2018, 04:40:02 PM
of course, looking at what you have in your profile sending the merit is never an issue, is quite a huge task as you said to locate quality post within the Bitcoin forum, the community is quite a large one and is very much scalable.

You must be joking. The number of shitposts in this forum is so huge that merit sources would actually have to be ninjas to actually be able to merit all worthy posts and not overlook any.

I have no idea what you mean by "scale-able" in this context though.

I think you have a valid point from the point of view that 80 people will be tasked to view that number of posts per day. Not considering the fact that they also have other commitments on the forum to attend to. I for myself know that I believe that I have some number very merit worthy posts, since the merit system was implemented, however my merits gained so far was when I directly and deliberately  applied/posted into one of those threads that were awarding merits for quality posts. Other than that, I would still be overlooked.

Merit sources are increasing. There is a method to apply as merit source as well. Also theymos has advised local board posters to apply as merit sources so that people who post in the local threads will also have a chance to earn some merits.

True the distribution of merit sources patrolling is having a lower "exposure" - but only time can tell how it will go.
7964  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitter truth behind the market crash on: April 14, 2018, 04:35:15 PM
Yes, now that the entire encryption market is falling, the market crash has not stopped. We don't know when it will stop falling, and I've lost a lot of money. Now many people have chosen to sell their encrypted currency to reduce losses, but I'm still holding out, and I'm sure it will start to recover soon.

Its not encryption market. Its crypto market. Arggh stop visiting the site using a translator - it makes the posts utter non-sense to read - equivalent to shitposting.

Yes crypto market did fall a lot and if you have lost money through it then nobody can help you. It was your decision to buy crypto and thus you have to deal with market fluctuation profit/loss. If you believe in those coins which went down - hold them till they rise again and then sell when they appear green from your buying point.

Overall patience is what is lacking in the younger traders.

7965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin scarcity on: April 13, 2018, 05:05:03 PM
Bitcoin is a lot of people who are looking for and have a lot of Bitcoin diggers in my time. I think there will be more Bitcoin owners in the future, but the numbers will be less and less. Bitcoin prices on the market as well as on the trading floor fluctuate and I think Bitcoin is growing.

What the hell do you mean by "Bitcoin is a lot of people" ? Bitcoin is a currency for heavens sake and not a group of people. I believe you are using a translator to view and post in the forum which is why you posts seems to be non-sense jumbled up. Better for you to learn English first before posting.

You are correct that in future the adoption of bitcoin will increase and this will actually make bitcoin scarce even if the supply is being done by miners. This does not mean that bitcoin is "growing" - it shows the economic liquidity of bitcoin and that new traders are coming into the market.
7966  Other / Meta / Re: Trust system on: April 13, 2018, 04:59:04 PM
If account sales are prohibited then there will be no special place to sell accounts in this forum. I also did not find a ban on buying and selling accounts.

It is not prohibited nor deserves a ban.
It is similar to playing soccer in your garden, your parents didn't explicitly prohibit you from playing but they might get the ball at any moment if they are afraid that you will break the window. Well, the bad news is that your parents are always afraid.
I think clear rules are needed, so parents can let their kids play the ball freely.

But parents wont want their innocent kids to kill each other while playing would they? They need to impose some restrictions or at least some sort of marking system in order to mark those who are potential scammers and since bitcointalk is the ground for signature spammers; shitposters and account farmers as well.

Those who buy/sell account do it for either of these purposes:
1. Scamming by hiding under the "Elder Rank" that the bought has. Gullible newbies often fall prey of them.
2. Shitposting to get paid from campaigns - the "who does not like free money" is the root cause of this forum garbage.
7967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Criteria of a good gambler on: April 13, 2018, 04:54:28 PM
Great that there is a post like this.
Dear gamblers, try to figure out what among these that you do not have. It is important that even though you are gamblers, you practice traits that do not bother other and especially your family.

Even if you try to teach the gamblers some morals of life - they will never learn or get over their habits. They understand that its bad for their time money health and their family. But still they will gamble until they are stretched thin and even in debt. They realize that the house will win in the long run and they are wasting their resources trying to run after the jackpot but it of no use telling them.

Possibly they have become resistant to people giving them advice on how to be a "good" gambler. Cheesy
7968  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to Trading on: April 13, 2018, 04:50:52 PM
The price is always influenced exclusively by demand and supply. But that's what influences demand, this is exactly what nobody knows.

Demand is when new people enter into the crypto market. They are willing to buy bitcoins and altcoins and thus putting in their fiat money into the crypto economy. Supply is constantly from the miners and is deflationary in nature. Thus the future prices are bound to increase as long as there is a steady demand of coins.

Again new people entering the market will be less experienced and thus it is the opportunity for the old traders to cash out some money while they buy.
7969  Other / Meta / Re: TMAN'S guide to getting merit. on: April 12, 2018, 10:02:45 AM
Hello everybody
i am a newbie, i am confused with the content in the reply of the forum, and almost i can not find the answer in the wish to become a true member of the forum.
Here the heading is the guide to getting merit. But when I read to find out about it, people do not have a specific guide. Please put yourself in a newbie and lead the problem in a more understandable way, so that we can find the information we need.
More specifically, can we detail how to write a quality post, a quality post is specified by what content? Give us some examples of what is appreciated for us to study.
thanks
Classic example of the third world nigerian shitposters in the forum trying to make a few bucks for "weed money". Get a life and get out of this forum. Nobody is going to spoonfeed you like a babydoll. All the answers are in the forum threads and stickies.

First rule in becoming a member of any forum - reading the rules a 100 times before making your first post. But then what are mods for? We will shit in the forum and mods will nurse and clean us. Grin
7970  Other / Meta / Re: Trust system on: April 12, 2018, 09:16:01 AM
Hello, I have received negative trust a long time ago and I still do not know how to get better reputation.
How many positive feedbacks I need to get neutral trust?
Thank you.

You have been marked with red with reference to : Found some members selling, buying account

Accounts sales are going on in the forum and outside forum but this allows shitposters and scammers to enter into the white coats of a known/reputable person who sold their account. In other words its shady AF and thus DT has to mark them as red to prevent others from getting scammed or to render the account useless for shitposters.

Also I am not on DT but I mark account sellars with red because it matters to me since they are not be trusted. For now you only have to deal with it because account selling and all are non-pardonable. What matters to you is the rating Lauda gave which I am sure will never be removed.

Even if Lauda is removed from DT, other people will take their place and continue marking them with red.

PS. This thread should be moved to "Reputation".
7971  Other / Meta / Re: Multi-accounts in signature on: April 12, 2018, 09:08:23 AM
I notice a lot of multi accounts in the signature. How to deal with them? This is a big business. For example, in a signature Daneel, 20% of all participants are multi-accounts, they drop everything on one address. How to deal with this?

In order to stamp the said accounts as alt-accounts possibly controlled by the same person, you need to gather enough proof to show that they are the same person. Like same bitcoin/ethereum wallets in their control, same social media accounts and so on. Without such proof you cannot declare them as alt-accounts and/or bounty cheaters.

Once you gather all the necessary proofs make a post here in the proper format.
Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III (2018 Q2)

DT member Lauda keeps an eye on this thread and marks all those alt account bounty cheaters with a red mark if proven beyond reasonable doubt. Good Hunting!
7972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin scarcity on: April 11, 2018, 02:45:22 PM
This is because price is not affected by supply, demand also plays a major role in this. Demand has reduced due to fear among new investors

Price is effected by both supply and demand. The second part of your comment is an assumption - that you have and possibly you belong to that group of people. Demand for crypto will never decrease - because of the deflationary nature of the supply. Every minute some bitcoin when lost the others holding coins have their coins worth slightly increased.

Again fear is a common thing among every investor. But they should learn to mitigate the risks - which can be done by different methods.
7973  Other / Meta / Re: TMAN'S guide to getting merit. on: April 11, 2018, 02:41:57 PM
Thats true every one has to improve his english to get merit
Improving your English has nothing to do with Merit. Posts are merit-able according to different factors based on the subjective nature of the merit sources. Now a badly written post will obviously get less merits or not merits at all. Again in your Local Boards - non-English posts will get merited too. Wink

but not only 3rd world people are complaining about the merit systeme every body is complaining , so do not judge please.
Shitposters come from every portion of the world (and beyond) so nobody is to blame if the 3rd world people or the 1st world people are complaining. TMAN is being very lenient with Merits but if you shitpost like this then forget about getting any "exposure"  Grin
7974  Other / Meta / Re: Merit sources should be increase in no. on: April 11, 2018, 02:35:28 PM
I agree with TMAN - don't increase the merits, but reduce the number of posts. After all, this is why the merit system was introduced.
come on my friend. almost everyone here want crypto society to grow. because without growing society the price of bitcoin will not grow. the only chance to reduce the number of posts is changing bounty program politics on the forum.

Crypto society is not another uptopian or cyberpunk society. It is the same as the normal society that you have grown up in. If you mean to say that because of signature campaigns and bounties in this forum - there is an increase in price of crypto then my friend you are grossly mistaken. This would be a good topic of disucussion but this is not the place nor time for that.

Bounty "politics" will not change - and even changing then will bring up a lot of uproar from the shitposter mobs in the forum. So get used to it and stop complaining.

The "bounty hunting" (lol) scumbag merit-hunters dont deserve a single merit on any of their posts. Let them make half-English vomit posts and be a cry-baby if then cant accept and move on.
7975  Other / Meta / Re: Viberate ANN thread is getting spammed by shitposters to BUMP ANN on: April 10, 2018, 03:55:14 PM
I agree that individuals are doing very bad advertising simply by copying entire texts with links from ignorance of forum work, that leaves a bad impression on a company that is quite ok.

That is quite "OK"Huh
If thats what you idea of "quite ok" is then you are a part of the shill bumper cults in this forum - scum of the forum who should face the ban hammers.
7976  Other / Meta / Re: Viberate ANN thread is getting spammed by shitposters to BUMP ANN on: April 10, 2018, 03:43:55 PM
I tried it and I was able to earn 2000 VIB tokens by promoting them on social media. And for shure I Will continue doing it in 2018.

Yeah and thats why this good project's ANN in the forum went to the shitposter garbage-can. All bunch of third world shitposters joined in the grab some "free cash" bandwagon. Makes you a part of the lists above. Also I need to update those a bit because its been about a month since the last post I made here.

Quote
Edit: Every post he has ever made is about Viberate. Just lol.
Ironic isnt it?
7977  Other / Meta / Re: Merit sources should be increase in no. on: April 10, 2018, 02:55:34 PM
1) Some people are not spamming for signature campaigns. They are increasing post count to reach junior members so that the limits regarding interval between posting and those related to Pms allowed per day could be removed. They still do not care about quality of the posts.
So how does that matter? If they dont make quality posts then are not going to be awarded merits - thus they wont rank up. Having a high activity but zero merits is what is going to render their shitposting farming attempts useless. One of the reasons why merit system is Successful

Quote
2) Another category is of people who are here to bump their own projects and thread and they drop some shit posts in between to remain safe
Irrelevant because BUMPs are definitely not meritable. Also new bumps, if done, then previous bumps need to be deleted and there are restrictions about bumping a thread - once per 24hours.
So how does that matter at all to Merit system?

Quote
No doubt, we see some good posts because of merit system but number of shit posts has not reduced.
Because of people like you who make comments without having a basic understanding. Your post would be a shit-post and worth getting a demerit (if it existed) if you ask me. Roll Eyes
7978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Criteria of a good gambler on: April 10, 2018, 02:49:59 PM
It is silly to set and criterion to judge whether a person is a good gambler or not. A good gambler could never exist simply due to reason that gambling is entirely dependent upon the luck of an individual and we all have to face hardships in these backgrounds at some time or the other. Yes a good gambler could be marked by a single characteristic and he is someone not fallen prey to his own addiction.

I dont know why you are not able to understand what I said in the post I quoted. But I will make it even simpler. Being good or bad depends on what is good or what is bad. If we talk about being good in gambling - then its a bluff because in gambling long term profit is negative. Being a good person is different.

A person can be a good human being but a gambler at the same time. The latter does not make the person a bad human being unless their gambling habits take over their better half.
7979  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader Future life? on: April 10, 2018, 02:45:04 PM
all future traders will be the same as today. because in trading there is always a risk of loss. So whatever happens in the future depends on what we do today. the better the effort that we do then will get good results too.

There is a difference between new traders and old traders. This is knowledge that the old traders have gained. The mentally resistance stance that they have while new traders are going to panic sell on a single line drop in price. This is not a comparison between traders of today and yesterday. The yester-year trading was simply buy and sell - when bitcoin had not become popular.

Again investing today does not mean a good return tomorrow in every case. Its relative and depends on how much time you can give for holding or stop/loss.
7980  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system= Rubbish posts on: April 10, 2018, 02:42:06 PM
You are right developer should approve some quality test before entering the forum so that the fake crypto bots can be prevented

Why dont you create some bot for countering these bots and then we can all be happy? The forum has some bounty managers who check posts/tweets using bots. I dont know if its ethical or if it reduced labour at all but its there. Then we have bot-posting shitposters - they quickly get nuked though.

A lot of things have been thought out by many people in the forum for its development. Have you seen the beta.bitcointalk - I believe that is the correct link, where a lot of changes have been done since epochtalk migration will happen - but nobody knows the ETA.
