7981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your definition of being Bitcoin Rich or wealthy? on: July 21, 2015, 02:00:49 AM
Wealthy still stays in contact with how much they have, and try to earn more.

Rich has someone else doing the job of watching their money, they just go out and spend.
7982  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: July 21, 2015, 01:59:08 AM
I never quite understood threads such as this bragging about how many BTC you have.

I would change it to something like "How did you get your first bitcoin".  Then it is a interesting story not just yea I have X BTC.
7983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream Adoption on: July 21, 2015, 01:45:03 AM
Hey guys,

It's been dawning on me for some time that there is one thing that businesses must hate.. credit card fees. So with this in mind why is mainstream adoption taking so long! We're not saying invalidate fiat currency and only accept BTC or Alt-coin but businesses don't seem to want to touch it?

What do you guys think the real issue is? Education among consumers and businesses? Volatile BTC price?

Tully
Education. People are stupid and don't like learning new things. and We need unique and attractive applications. Shouldn't be too hard

And we need the proper people educated aswell.  Such as people who are in power to make the laws.

One other thing is we need education BTC can be used for good.  A lot of news stories have BTC linked to bad things.  We really need to have a positive outlook with bitcoin.
7984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teenagers and bitcoin on: July 21, 2015, 01:40:38 AM
I think it's important to teach kids about money, and proper management of it.   I know as a kid I had a children's bank account.

I think learning to keep a budget is great for kids. If they can do this in fiat and BTC I think it's even better.  It leads to many good roads.
7985  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to connect my antminer s5 with bitminter pool? on: July 21, 2015, 01:30:10 AM
I've been Advised to try Bitminter just didn't know how to get connected with the S5 antminer.

Out of curiosity who advised you to use bitminter?  It just is one that is not all that popular anymore.
7986  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: July 21, 2015, 01:28:37 AM
I wonder if the following is the one that Phillip got an E-mail from:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1128985.0

I think they are dreaming on 1200 for an A2 at this point.  I sold my A2 long long ago.  And I rented the crap out of it to get ROI.

Looking forward to this dual miner though.  I just want to buy one to play with.
7987  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What type of miner do you use? on: July 21, 2015, 01:22:59 AM
I am not looking to buy now I was just wondering what is everyones fav either their gear or wish to have

You should really move to speculation then.  At bottom left look for move to, and put in speculation.

Also I might suggest doing a poll.  Makes it much easier if that is your goal Smiley  I would do S3 and new miners in poll.
7988  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for a list of all mining hardware. on: July 21, 2015, 01:21:30 AM
The hard part is what really matters most is the hardware to come.  Next gen is really more important then current hardware in current time.

I think if someone would compile a site with next gen rumors, companies, specs suspected, etc.  It could be a site to get a decent amount of traffic if done right.
7989  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buy Bitcoins with Paypal – step by step tutorial on: July 21, 2015, 01:19:11 AM
I think they are not so friendly!  I used paypal for trading a bit on LBC, and now my account is frozen.  Now they want my life history data to release MY money.  I can now see why so many people hate paypal, and I am glad that bitcoins are making a strong showing this year.

Paypal for products is ok, not the best but ok.

Paypal for crypto is horrible.  With the world of charge backs, higher priced BTC, it just is not very good.

I suggest looking into a real exchange you can connect a bank account up to.  You will save a lot of money overtime.
7990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TUTORIAL] How to Earn 1 Bitcoin in a Week on: July 21, 2015, 01:17:17 AM
I seriously doubt how successful this method actually is, but nonetheless it is an interesting idea and I threw in a few mBTCs into different altcoins that appeared to have a lot of trading. Hopefully I can make a bit of a profit, if just one coin does well within the next few days!

It is a gamble.   OP did show he had made some profit from it.   But no where near 1 BTC per week.

The subject is misleading.  It should say POSSIBLY make .1 BTC per week from his methods.   The making 1 from I believe .005 BTC in one week is very very lucky.

given that its possible to make .1 btc from constantly trading new altcoins, it should be more than possible to make 1 btc a week simply by investing more. however, the issue is that this method is unreliable, as there is no guarantee that a coin will rise in price and that someone will buy your coins off the exchange when the price is high.

That is why I said possible.  It hinges on factors you cannot control.   It is gambling really lets be honest.

And OP showed like .17 max profit never showed near 1 BTC gained.   That should tell you right there 1 BTC is kinda the pie in the sky that is almost impossible to get.
7991  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: July 21, 2015, 01:14:59 AM
Just join any signature campaign, you can earn a lot. My target is to get 0.4 BTC this week from mine signature. Hope I will find time for posting.

I have 0.2 BTC now. I think I can do it. If you want to stalk my earnings check here and enter my UID: 266213
Wish me luck Cool

I see a comment that saying 0.2 weekly is not to much if you live in a strong country in europe, but for the rest of the world i think is good that amount of money.

I live in a basically strong country in EU, but you don't know who I'm and if it's good amount or not Tongue

Well i don't know you and i dont want to know, but i dont have any information about the living and avg income for people iin your country. but 0.2 is money. It can be spent in a single dinner, but remember the other countries.

Yes it can be spend in a single dinner and it will be spend in a single dinner, probably. Cheesy

...

Lol dont make me feel like i am in a beach when i am in my flat Sad in these hot days lol.
And i don't have an ipad Sad

Ohh Sad Maybe try to go out from your flat? Tongue nah, just jk, I don't want you to feel bad buddy Cheesy

Well i havent test my self to make 400 posts a week, which is pretty good if i get paid 0.4 for that(0.5 with bit-x rates)
Dont know if marco will accept me, or maybe staying at coinomat i enjoy here too Smiley

P.S i will increase the contrast and the brightness of my monitor and feel like i am in the sun(beach) lol

Marco is a good guy, if your posts are constructive enough for him, there's no problem Smiley
Like I said BIT-X is best for people with a plenty of free time because there are no limits.
There's not even any limit for symbols in one post, because he is accepting only honest members. Honest members won't cheat the system.

There are a few big things to mention.  One Macro DOES watch posts.  So if you post utter crap... don't expect to get paid for those posts.   Also before you join Bit-X now your old posts are went through to see if they are good or crap.   There is two checks right there.   And that does not include when he randomly checks.

So there are many checks in place.  Also he does not include all forums.  Some forums are just not very good but can add lots of posts such as off topic, so Bit-X does not even include it.

So weather you are honest or not... you will not be beating Macro and the Bit-X campaign.  But with screening yes it should be only honest people in it.

7993  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Trying to buy a massive amount of hardware!!! on: July 20, 2015, 11:56:38 PM
Hey we all have to start someplace right but I agree searching would yeild a lot o valuable answers to his question but as a new user searching can seem frustrating with the wait times between searches before you past the newbie stage at least so I can understand the post for a quick answer from forum veterans

Yes we all start somewhere but we dont start with "massive amount of hardware!!!".  Maybe a miner or two and move up from there.

Just the scale of jumping in at massive amounts is kinda a mess.  Lots to learn very quick that way.
7994  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: July 20, 2015, 11:55:06 PM

It should go down farther into county within state if you want accurate.  A state just is a huge thing to put together.

Most likely there are multiple energy companies, big cities with high bills, etc.   Just not one size fits all.

Let's put things in perspective - if the county I lived in were a state there would be 9 states smaller than it.  I live in the largest county in the country.  County level isn't even adequate.  Smiley

County at lease is much closer then state.  It is not perfect I agree it has faults.

But there is not really a perfect way to look at power unless you go down to city level.   At least around where I am I have 0 choice there is 1 electricity company... so they are who I go with.
7995  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What type of miner do you use? on: July 20, 2015, 11:51:55 PM
As far a current gen there are really 2 that you might look at. SP gear such as SP20.   Or also Avalon 4.1.

There are some older gen gear aswell.  It just depends on what your looking for.
7996  Other / Archival / Re: July 11th to July 25th diff thread. Picks are now closed. on: July 20, 2015, 11:50:38 PM
Bitwisdom went down a little:

Bitcoin Difficulty:    51,076,366,303
Estimated Next Difficulty:    52,069,849,184 (+1.95%)
Adjust time:    After 714 Blocks, About 4.9 days
Hashrate(?):    379,554,704 GH/s

Price is around 278 per BTC.  So getting better slightly.

Price on coinbase almost to hit 280 so hopefully before tomorrow we can hit it if we are lucky.

Difficulty going up a tad still:

Bitcoin Difficulty:    51,076,366,303
Estimated Next Difficulty:    52,432,487,879 (+2.66%)
Adjust time:    After 678 Blocks, About 4.6 days
Hashrate(?):    389,541,402 GH/s
7997  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Private keys for Coinbase , Bit-x ? on: July 20, 2015, 08:02:25 PM
I always had this question and now I want actually to know if it's possible to get the private keys of Coinbase accounts or Bit-x.com accounts and export them to import to another wallet .
Or simply the ability to sign messages using the adresses given on those accounts  ? Shocked

Part of what keeps them so safe is not allowing you to get that private key.  They then know no one got the private key from you even on accident.

Coinbase I believe even has some kinda insurance, which would be part of reason they don't release key.
7998  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S3, S3+ identifiacation. on: July 20, 2015, 08:00:15 PM
Thanks, there is no sticker, is there any other way of knowing? In terms of returning it I have contracted the seller to see what he says, also will be influenced by an overnight run.

Rich

Correction, have checked again and the main sticker over the exhaust fan says S3. Bit too obvious for me.  Smiley

Yes Smiley on the main sticker it says S3, S3+, or S3++.   So you can tell all of this at a glance Smiley

Makes it easier them having to run them to see.
7999  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: July 20, 2015, 07:57:58 PM
I am curious as to what makes this a scam rather than somebody thinking they can take an over-priced miner and sell it for an even higher price? In this case the scam would be that they don't actually own the miner for sale, rather than selling a non-existent miner? It wasn't uncommon for somebody to buy/pre-order a BFL miner and then try and sell it on Ebay for an even higher price in 2013. I don't think they were scam, rather than just an attempt to cash in on "Bitcoin fever" (i.e. like Gold Rush fever).

I was talking about AliExpress not SFards.  I do believe SFards has a product, they have sent out chips.

As far as AliExpress it's all default photos and I'm doubting they got in on initial batch.  I could be wrong on that.  But I am thinking they sell now on AliExpress and try to get a batch 2 to sell to person.  And if they cannot get a batch 2 in time they refund money.  So maybe bad business more then scam.
AliExpress uses escrow on all items due to scammers so I assume if it is a scam they're trying to send out something that looks similar and won't perform as well and hope you the buyer do not notice and okay the payment.

That might be all good and well but look at amount of day's it's considered ok on delivery.

No need to derail this thread feel free to PM me.  I don't want this thread to get all off topic over a second party selling units.
8000  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LKETC 5T 1000W is it real? on: July 20, 2015, 07:55:49 PM
This is either a scam or its a unit that will most likely cost around $3000 US dollars that nobody will ever buy.

But its hard to tell since its not a scam company.

They are just announcing early.  I don't believe they are even taking pre-orders.   LKETC has delivered massive amounts of miners.

I would not consider them a scam, just maybe releasing info to quick.
