~Edited out~ the last event i remember being called off is the attack in Pakistan against Srilankan players and since then no team visited Pakistan after the incident. If you think the same thing going to happen with Kiwis (no cricket in their country) then let me stop you right there by saying that Brown life matter less, that's all I can say. There's a major difference between NZ and Pakistan. We can't deny that Pakistan has already proved that it's not a safe place because of some incident like attack on Srilankan, Malala or some more. While in NZ, it's probably for the first time happened. However, I don't think it will be wise to ignore NZ. Agreed, I stated my point in the context of the larger picture and didn't go into more details. And I guess everybody aware of that How humble and peaceful are Kiwis in general, even more than Japanese.

@Haunebu bro, would like to add "sensibly" too with any kind of approach. in the current generation, I see many aggressive players but yet to see another Sehwag kind of destructive opener in Red Ball.
Likes of Hayden, Ricky pointing, Kevin Peterson. or Artist like Dravid, V.V.S. Laxman.
(unsung hero) Kumar Sangakara, Damyn Martin, Kallis
Sachin and Lara are in another league.
And now You can literally count the current generation's greats in fingers when its comes to Red Ball Cricket.

Not watching live but keeping a tab on the scorecard, SL struggling so far. I am not expecting much from Sri Lanka. I am kinda bored seeing they are losing the ODIs. This team needs some psychologist like I said several times.
The good thing is they crossed the 220 mark. was expecting another lower order collapse.

haha, don't let JJG depress you There's very few people here with 1000BTC. Even three digits is pretty unusual. Hey.. I was never trying to depress anyone. I did state what I believed to be "fuck you" parameters in terms of a framework that anyone could attempt to apply to their own situation in order to attempt to figure out at what level they would believe themselves to have reached such status.. I also wanted to paint "fuck you" status in terms of passive income from an asset, but there are other ways to consider "fuck you" status, too. Of course, if anyone wanted to use BTC for either achieving that status or supplementing their assets to achieve such status, then it does not need to ONLY be BTC, either. The subject of "fuck You" status might be a bit depressing in itself, but it has been an ongoing subject of this thread, even if the subject has been called different things... like "when lambo" and "when moon" etc..etc.. Agreed that you never try to put anyone in the depression with 1k BTC's talk but sometimes people go automatically in that zone. - Human nature- I suppose. if somehow i will get depressed with this discussion then will talk to my other friends (who owns less BTC than me ) state of mind reset to default again- Human nature- Only he-she can answer that, but my guess, In Paper wallet to be more precise.

What about the land which the Christians took from Aborgines in Australia and Indians in America?
Native Americans may be. not Indians But that's fine its Colombus and education system's fault or in some extent ignorance, not yours

~snip~ Last time I checked their team back in 2017-18. there were 9 desi guys in their squad out of 11.
Right , actually most of them are born in USA itself I suppose , their parents are Indians. Most of the native USA peeps are not that interested in Cricket as far as I know but if they join cricket world , it's just good for Cricket. Not aware of current squad but before there were some fresh airdrop immigrants in the USA's team. Let alone interest, Majority can't even understand Cricket and I don't blame them for that because the shorter format of cricket alone take 3-4 hours @Thekool1s would like to reply to you in detail but chances are you will not read my post carefully without any prejudice. that's why you came up with this reply, unnecessary post tbh. so avoiding further discussion here. Ok now I understand and I have the same question that how is this connected to this mass murder? Someone gone to a place where people pray and was shooting to killing people. This is not acceptable anywhere.
@Royse This terrorist attack was led purely by Islamophobic mentality. speaking of mass murder, this can help you. The document, which suggests an obsession with violent uprisings against Islam, claims the suspect had “brief contact” with the Norwegian mass-murderer Anders Breivik and that Breivik gave his “blessing” to the attack. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/mar/15/rightwing-extremist-wrote-manifesto-before-livestreaming-christchurch-shooting

By the way, It's sad that I have not found a single member yet in here:
Yh I get it. I think it's subjective.
I am not into gambling and always keep my distance from gambling. You should contact with @eaLiTy. this user recently posted about his-her betting win in Main thread. And try contacting with @Indymoney @Pffrt they might be interested in gambling. they all seem to incline in betting. Money plays a big part in everything, in the end, and cricket is no exception.

Chances are they have a majority of players from the Indian subcontinent. Last time I checked their team back in 2017-18. there were 9 desi guys in their squad out of 11.

~snip~ If you’re not aware then let me inform you that ICC is bringing several new rules which will make test cricket very interesting. The most notable rule is the introduction of free hit on the no ball, that’ll force bowlers to not give away extra runs. If it's for stepping the line then it should be welcome and implemented asap but if it's for above height-bouncer scenario then it should not be allowed. ICC can't afford to give all advantage to batters only. they already have tons of advantage on their sides in comparison of bowlers. And ICC need more than that, to name a few 1. Increase salary for Test Cricketer 2. Day Night Test 3. Introducing Good competitive cricketing wickets Yes, you are right they have changed the mindset. Before they used to play for draw and now they play to win.
But the change in mindset doing more harm than good. again due to this test finishing in 3 days instead of 5 days. if you look at the bigger picture it's not a good deal. If you are a broadcaster or generating ticket revenue, then not a good sign as well. They are paying money for 5-day cricket's rights but they are not getting much out of it and no ticket sells for last 2 days and something should be done here otherwise broadcaster can put their foot down next time when it comes to Test cricket.

|
It's actually exciting to me. Before we used to see test matches playing 5 long days without any result. They were not hitting the balls but staying in the pitch like a dead man. It was boring to see. If you don't play then why are you in the pitch at the first place.
Now a days, we hardly see draw tests.
Test cricket should be the ultimate test for any cricketer-team, and if any batsman or team is playing in a test match as they play in 20-20 mode, then it is pathetic. 99 times of 100 they are going to fail if choosing that approach. That's why we are witnessing so many matches finishing within 3 days. I don't mind batsmen playing aggressively in test cricket, its exciting for spectator too but play longer for f***sake because there is a reason its called 5-day cricket-Test cricket ( Test of cricketing skill) Swinging bat in a Test match is very easy. Every club cricketer can do this on his best day and get quick 50-80runs sometime 100 too because in test format field position is entirely different in comparison of shorter format. The real challenge is batting all session and making big runs 100-200-300 and so on.

~snip~ I strongly feel that the IPL has done more good than bad. It has become my favorite cricketing event over the years. The talent, emotions, grandeur, strokeplay etc are some of the reasons why I am in love with the IPL.
I do agree that there are a few cons, but the advantages of the IPL make it totally worth it in the long run.
It's the same for me. I do believe IPL done good thing than the bads. I can not find anything bad about IPL. It's helping the players financially, it's exposing the talents, young stars. It's changing the conservative mindset that you have to bat very carefully and 250 runs is enough to win a 50 over match. There are a lot of good things about IPL. No one can deny that IPL changed everything in the world cricket, be it money, biggest talent hunt in Cricket history-career jumpstarter. Bumrah, Pandaya brothers, Chahal, Maxwell, Warner, Bravo, Pollard etc list is very long. But Imho because of 20-20 format, the majority of players don't take Test cricket seriously now. that's why test matches getting over within 3 days nowdays.

Your welcome Jimmy,
Of course and rightly so, you are one of the dedicated members as far as I remember, although I didn't participate in ICO, I came to know about this project later.
Will join you there as well and Speaking of awareness, did you guys thought about running a bounty? could be a good move, it's just a suggestion.

But we shouldn't forget that its shorter format of the game and very different from 50 over cricket.
Because of IPL now a days 400+ is not even safe in 50 over format. Cricket is now more focused on Betting performance. By the way, non of you are watching the PSL Eliminator 1 match? Karachi Kings are on fire! Yeah True, because of this, IPL literally jump-started many careers, domestic and International players both and it changed the world cricket. bad or good it's another debate. I hardly follow IPL religiously. so PSL is out of the option for me unless I want to see some fine bowling performance.

~snip~ They must be hungry to prove themselves once again after the big controversy which is why I am excited to watch them perform in the IPL.
IPL is a such incredible stage where they should prove themselves to guarantee the entry ticket in Australia’s XI since quite a while they're out after the big controversy! Allan Border says, There may no longer be room left in Australia’s ODI XI for Steve Smith and David Warner after the team claimed its “best ever” series win in the format. Smith and Warner making comeback in IPL? sorry for the ignorance but didn't follow IPL auction or any news this year. If they are coming back then its great news. Allan Border is a legend but I am sure if those 2 comebacks in the team with their performance, Oz wouldn't mind cutting some dead weight. @Raja_MBZ You may have tripped a snowflake there. @JSRAW all the trolling is just retaliation, stop visiting EspnCricInfo But I have to say that Cap change did wonders for the Aussies No one tripping anyone here bro, it was just friendly word of exchange between @Raja and me, or call it banter. You used the word "Retaliation". which is a very bad choice of word in this context IMHO. Someone paying respect to their soldiers who died in Deadly Terrorist Attacks and people making fun of it, Good!!! But don't worry if something happens like this on another side of the border. We will not celebrate or make fun of that, we will grief with them shoulder to shoulder. Its double edge sword for those who cry out loud "We are the biggest victim of terrorism" 3. That's the case! At least partially. If that's the case then all good bro but you are in the minority And hate to say but we both know very well that it's not true and 99% don't think like that. As like Raza said, those are really illiterate and don't know what sport is.
Completely agree with you and Raja. I owe you merit @Pffrt

Australia tournament was scheduled to get into the form of India, but things happened in the other way with Australia coming back to the form with the winning of the series. Before the world cup the IPL is scheduled which could get back the Indian players onto form. It works both ways, sometimes things go straight, sometimes shit happens It's true that IPL can help in terms of getting in form-match practice, due to the high-pressure game during the IPL's matches. But we shouldn't forget that its shorter format of the game and very different from 50 over cricket.

Anybody wants to change the Top 4 selection now and put India somewhere below in 3rd 4th position?
Nope India still in my top 2. some hiccups always come during the journey and sometimes it's necessary to face this kind of hurdle for a reality check. I am sure the Indian team will take a lesson from recent failure and bounce back with full power in the World Cup.
