81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brace yourself, Bitcoin Silver is coming! on: October 25, 2017, 06:05:16 PM
Maybe they should make Forking a little stricter, like getting 30+% community support before forking, losing all or part of their Bitcoin when they move over to other fork or simply put a limit on the number of allowed fork in a given period. Stuff like this can't be possible in the real world : you can't reject something and still have stake in it.
Thank Goodness I am not taking part in the free coin madness, God forbid.  I do not like them and they do not have too many values.
I agree with you but practically we can't stop the forkers.Infact anyone with a little knowledge of programming can create new bitcoin fork these days. The only way we can stop these people and their forks is to have exchanges not support these forks.Bcash and B2x forks are somewhat community supported forks and all the other madness forks are just developers looking to dump their premine coins and it also damages the image of bitcoin not to mention the risk(of exposing private key/seed) one has to go to claim these shitcoins.
82  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was Bitcoin Gold a Good Idea? on: October 25, 2017, 12:08:23 PM
IMO any bitcoin hardfork is a bad move as it makes new comers confuse in which coins to invest in.I don't believe in Bgold same as Bcash. They all have one purpose to damage 'bitcoin' name.Bgold did pumped the price of Bitcoin prior to the fork and now bitcoin price is crashing.Even Bgold dumped more then 62% on exchanges so No,Bitcoin gold wasn't a good idea.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of bitcoins on: October 25, 2017, 11:30:28 AM
In future will the banks be able to exchange bitcoins?
Now we are exchanging from traders...but when (if) the popularity of bitcoin increase a lot then the traders will not be able to exchange such amount of bitcoins...so what about the future of bitcoin?
Most banks treat bitcoin as their competition because bitcoin may decrease the use of Fiat in future so i think they won't allow exchange of fiat to bitcoin in banks.I think localbitcoins is and will be the best option for buying and selling bitcoins offline and and online we have many exchanges that regulate under government.
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to send my Bitcoin back to Coinbase now and still claim my BTG later? on: October 24, 2017, 04:01:10 PM
Hi all,

I am so confused, there is so much information on the internet. I see that many of you here have great knowledge in this forum, I hope some of you can help me.

I have my  Bitcoin (BTC) in Exodus wallet. I understand that Exodus is not supporting Bitcoin Gold (BTG).

I noticed that the snapshot of the blockchain (or whatever it is called) has already happened which means I can claim BTG from 1. November.

Is it safe for me to move my BTC now back to Coinbase and then later claim my BTG?

Yes,what you have to do is export your private key from exodus wallet and keep it safe.Send bitcoins back to coinbase.Since BTG fork will activate after November 1 you can be sure you won't be affected by replay protection if you transfer your bitcoin now to another address even though BTG fork already have replay protection(as they claim).
85  Other / Meta / Re: IP ban on: October 23, 2017, 11:22:46 AM
Recently,  I invited a friend of mine to join this forum. After registering and confirming everything, his IP got immediately ban but he never use any VPN at all. So is there anything that he can do to get unban?  I think he doesn't deserve to pay the fee so any help will be appreciated :-)
He must be using shared IP or his ISP allocated him IP (shared one) of another user that previously used bitcointalk for abuse so your friend also got ban. There's only 2 ways to life ban.Either pay the fee or ask your isp to allocate new ip/disconnect and reconnect router and then may be he can get new IP.After that clear cookies and cache and then ask your friend to create new account Smiley
86  Economy / Speculation / Re: Top? on: October 22, 2017, 02:50:48 PM
Explain your answer.
I didn't voted any option because i don't think bitcoin will go so high for 50% drop afterwords.I think the trend that is happening right now will continue in future too i.e we hit ATH and break it and then we have small correction and price stabilize at that level for few days then some good news come and we see another ATH and this process repeats. With current bitcoin adoption,i don't expect a 50% drop in short time  Tongue
87  Economy / Speculation / Re: For god's sake don't crash in my hands ! I am still holding the bag ! on: October 22, 2017, 11:14:13 AM
Fuck! please only start crashing after i dump the bag to others!

Not now! It still has quite some time til 25/10/2017, no!?
LOL Grin Dude bitcoin isn't a ponzy scheme.Serious hodlers won't dump the coins before or after the fork.I don't think we will see a crash after 25th october because Segwit2x fork is coming too and after that too i don't expect bitcoin to fall as hitory repeats itself and Bcash fork is evidence that bitcoin price fall is not affected by forks.  Roll Eyes
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Kind Of Bitcoin Gift Can You Give for Christmas? on: October 22, 2017, 10:58:55 AM
We are thinking of starting a bitcoin gift focused business for all occasions and seasons.
Christmas is fast approaching, your wife, kids, parents, friends and colleagues will be expecting some gifts from you.
What kind of Bitcoin gift can you think of for Christmas?
Since my family members aren't interested in bitcoin as much as i am.I would buy gift cards, and other items using bitcoin and gift them these. They can make their own choice later what they want to buy using gift card bought with bitcoin  Wink

90  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can it be true ? on: October 19, 2017, 07:59:23 PM
OK - I must have misunderstood something major here.

As I understand it - I buy BITCOINS where I lose 6% of my money right off the bat...

I place my trade and hopefully I close with a profit...

I sell the BITCOINS I have for USD.

Now I look for another entry - assuming I am trading...When I enter - I lose another 6% Huh

How can one ever make any money with these charges ?

Any help greatly appreciated !

Andy
Please mention which services you are using to buy bitcoin and what payment method you are using.6% fee is very high for every trade. Most popular exchanges have very less fees(0.2% to 0.3%) on every trade so it's not hard to make money by bitcoin trading. How else do you think whales are making so much money by investing in bitcoin?  Grin
91  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question about the forum on: October 19, 2017, 06:58:31 PM
Guys, how to remove for FOREVER topics from "Show new replies to your posts". Is it possible? Because there are topics which are not interesting for me anymore, but they keep appearing there..

No,it's not possible. What i do is i use 'Watchlist' functionality instead of 'Show new replies to your posts'.The advantage is it will show same topics in 'Watchlist' too but you can open the topic and click on 'unwatch' to easily remove that topic from your watch list.To enable 'Watch list',head over to 'Profile' then 'Notifications and Email' and check 'Automatically watch topics after replying to them.' and click 'save settings'.That's all you have to do.From next time all the topics that you reply to will appear in your 'Watchlist' and then you can 'Unwatch' the topic to remove it from the 'Watchlist'.  Wink
92  Economy / Speculation / Re: Which will be the real Bitcoin after november? on: October 19, 2017, 06:29:59 PM
I am sure 90% bitcoin will be same as bitcoin before the fork AKA bitcoin core.I don't trust Segwit2x or any other bitcoin forks that happens to achieve consensus based on miners/corporate businesses. All they want is to have control over bitcoin.Bitcoin core is the real bitcoin and will stay that way as it has major user support and that's what matters.Miners will come back to core when they see less transactions on 2x chain.  Smiley
93  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 6000$ on: October 19, 2017, 03:35:11 PM
bitcoin price is increasing.after fork it can be low but in future it will csoss 6000$ . it's my opinion.
August 01 was a fork of bitcoin. Then when will be held bitcoin fork?
i dont know the time  Sad
There are more upcoming bitcoin forks(2 AFAIK). 1.Bitcoin Gold similar to Bcash(august 1) fork.  2.Segwit2x fork.

Is it possible to reach Bitcoin price 6000$ in the month end october 2017?
How do u think? Is it happen? advance thanks for your replies.
Yes it's possible and judging by the fact that bitcoin can rise upto 1000$ in 24 hours we can easily say bitcoin can reach 6000$ by end of october. Now bitcoin price is 5700$(approx) and 11 days remaining in october so gaining 300$ is not so hard for bitcoin at the moment. Wink
94  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price drop? on: October 18, 2017, 01:35:42 PM
Is there any reason why the btc price is dropping that much today? Are people scared by the hard fork or why is it dropping?
We can't expect bitcoin price to keep rising every day? It's simple some people are cashing out their profits but my prediction is price will soon hit 6K$ before upcoming BGold hardfork.Whales always benefit from week hands and nothing new is happening today. It's same thing and other alts are dropping too because they are too dependent on bitcoin price. Smiley
95  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin hit 10.000 in 2018? on: October 17, 2017, 12:02:47 PM
No matter if $ or €
I believe we will see 10K$ by the end of 2017 let alone 2018.By 2018 end we may very well be above 20K$.Who expected 5.7K$ in October 2017 in 2016?I know i didn't but it did happen.Seeing the daily increase in bitcoin adoption,i am positive we will see 10K$ by end of 2017  Cheesy
96  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO PURCHASE BITCOIN? on: October 16, 2017, 03:15:16 PM
OP you read this phrase ever? 'The best time to buy bitcoin was in 2009,the next best time is today'.This phrase is true indeed.Buy bitcoin today and leave it/HODL for next 5 years and believe me you won't be creating threads like this again  Wink
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need to sell BCC before SegWit2x on: October 16, 2017, 01:05:12 PM
Hi friends,
I want to hear your opinion.
I have some BCC..
Need to sell BCC before SegWit2x?
or need exchange to BTC only?
Thx.

Why not? You should have dumped that shitcash coin much earlier dude. Now the price is not worth it but dump it now or regret later. That coin is a cancer to bitcoin and controlled by china.Better dump it now or you will be left holding a bag of BCC.Dump and buy bitcoin and wait for upcoming forks. That's the smartest thing you can do  Wink
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be hacked? on: October 16, 2017, 12:49:19 PM
I love the concept of Bitcoin. I believe the Internet will redefine currency as we know it.  I hope this helps the Bitcoin community to develop a currency that's really resilient to attacks.

But, is it possible?
Bitcoin is backed by cryptography and can not be cracked/hacked by current technology. If you mean can your personal bitcoins be hacked?Sure,if you do mistake by installing malware or some other mistake then sure but otherwise no one can hack your bitcoins from the network itself. In future,we can't say if it will be impossible to hack bitcoin when we have Quantum computers but i am sure by that time bitcoin developers will come with powerful solution to upgrade the network.
99  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Strategy for the next fork on: October 15, 2017, 09:43:40 PM
What strategy you plan to follow during the next fork? Will you sell the altcoins on the eve of the fork?
Here is my simple strategy.Buy as much bitcoin as i can.HODL till the fork(and i mean both the forks-Bgold and Segwit2x).Dump the shit Bgold the moment it hit an exchange.will do the same with segwit2x coins but will probably wait till we get a solution for replay protection problem on that chain.I can't risk loosing real bitcoins over S2x  Grin
100  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have hardware wallet now. Do i need to stop using offline wallet? on: October 15, 2017, 11:08:37 AM
I just purchased ledger hardware wallet. I'm very exited to use it and transferred all my btc to my ledger wallet.
As i know, hardware wallet is more secure than online wallet. I will transfer to online wallet if need to trade (exchange) only.

But how about offline wallet such as mycellium and coinomi? Do i need to separate my btc to offline wallet also? If yes, why?
Why would you use another offline wallet is you have a hardware wallet? The main reason one will purchase hardware wallet is to benefit from the security of offline wallet and at the same time benefit from the ease of transfer of bitcoins of the online wallet. So no,only use hardware wallet as it is pretty safe and use it to transfer to exchanges when you need to trade otherwise keep storing bitcoins in hardware wallet.
