With Bitcoin Futures Launched, more people know about cryptocurrencies and it also helps more people to accept them. As the futures is cash settled, people do not need to buy or sell bitcoins at the settlement dates.
It seems that the price is less volatile after the launch - less trade opportunities for day traders.

When will TenX card be available in the US? I downloaded the app from Apple App Store today and cannot find US in the drop down list for the phone area. I guess it is still waiting for the SEC's approval? It is sad to see the market cap rank of this token to drop from 20 something months ago to 53 today. Not sure when the price will recover from its high. I have 25% of my portfolio in it. Maybe it is time to realize the loss.  you know 90% of altcoins are going down in btc value when btc is on a bullrun, right? you will not make it in crypto if you dont have at least a little bit patience  I think as an investor, I have a lot of patience. I been holding my other coins when they dropped to half of the value or more, but still holding them till they came back. My concern is that would PAY ever come back to my purchase price? Hope it will not be one of the 90% of the losers. It needs a lot of adoption and usage for it to start making good profit for holders. If I were holding BTC or ETH during these times, I would be making 600% of profit instead of losing 60%. Ok, I’m going to stop whining and continue to hodl. It's already back at USD 2.50, you did not have much chances to buy at a higher price... I got it at about $5. |

Hope you did buy some bitcoins and litecoins soon after you posted this message because BTC has increased by 50% and LTC by 200% since.

Two things that I have observed so far are that the price variation between different exchanges has dropped and the prices of altcoins have increased along with bitcoin's price.
It seems that Bitcoin Futures reinforces the legitimacy of Cryptocurrencies and motivates more people to get into the cryptos space.
Also, it seems that Bitcoin Futures manages people's expectation on the price and reduce the volatility.

I agree to most of the members that buy bitcoins over gold. Unless you are expecting some apocalypse events to happen, then gold will be very valuable.

Two weeks ago, I would say $9000. But now that it has reached $10,000 and, with the money from institutional investors gradually coming and the Bitcoin Future which will allow more people to invest in Bitcoin, I would say it is possible to see $12,000 by the year end.

So holders now keep their holding bitcoin for more than one month,you will get some more couple of dollar in your hand.Even bitcoin cross 11000$ at this year end.
My suggestion : just keep hold as long as you've satisfy on current profit !
I will be holding them for at least till 2027! Of course, bitcoin is on the way to reaching $10,000 and no doubt it will reach $10,000 before the end of the year. The question is, is bitcoin going to go above $10,000 or not?
we'll make 10K pretty soon withing next days.. everybody like it . the question is how deep will be the btc price correction before X-mas? Some said there may be a correction soon, but I will come back to prior high. If the institutional investors start to invest in (some may already did except that they did not announce it), the demand will push the price even higher. Also, right now many people do not know how to invest in Bitcoin. Once the Bitcoin Future kicks in, many new investors will come in and bid up the price further. |

What a ride during the long weekend! The price has been stablized around 9600-9700 for the last 24 hours. It seems like $10,000 before year end is a very good possiblity now.

It was quite scary two weekend ago when BCH was half the price of BTC and it had huge amount of transactions waiting to be processed in the mempool as BTC hashrate went down.
BTC's average transaction fee went up as high as $15 per transaction. It was difficult to see that happened. Would this happen again?

I think that the pure hype amongsts the investors right now is enough to push price over $10k for sure. Even if it is the peak of the bubble i do agree with the analysts that say that BTC will go to $10k or even $15k at the end of the year/start of the next.
Last year we saw a great surge in pricing of bitcoin near the Christmas/New year area.
I would not be surprised if we see another surge in price this year, at the same time.
Hope it happens again, too, although there is no good explanation for it. |
