81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining now is it too late? on: September 26, 2017, 04:28:34 AM
It's too late for on demand profit but long term its not too late.   You should just mine the coin your doing and promote the crap out of it and see how it goes.   2013 the bitcoin increase by 50 times from YTD.   ATM its 4 times.  Getting more people involve like using it and of course mining it can boost the popularity even more.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 23, 2017, 10:49:34 AM
Whattomine is just giving an idea whats the highest.   Getting the accurate information is up to you.   You should try to log what pool you do and move another to see if any huge difference.   So many pools I tested for SIGT and Lyra2rev2 they don't come close to whattomine.   I even increase the difficulty by 20% to see if it's updating difficulty slow.

Altcoin market is pretty low.   Eventually it will pick up.   It just need more users and be more useful than being a money drain on investors.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help, issue with 5 1080ti on MSI Z270 SLI PLUS on: September 23, 2017, 03:00:41 AM
For anyone reading this in the future...

Alright, update to my mobo issue.. Got the asrock h110 pro btc+ today and wow.. wish I would have ordered this board originally, it was practically plug and play. Had absolutely 0 issues plugging in all of my 1080ti's and the performance seems slightly better (5-15 Sols/s) on this mobo more than the original MSI board I had, which is awesome. Thanks for the recommendation, super impressed and it was a lot cheaper than the board I had originally.

From experience motherboards hit and miss.  I tried h110 pro and even the popular Asus Z270 Prime wasn't good start.  Whats funny my other rig has the same model as yours started good.  So I got H110 Pro replacement and it was much better until 2 months that I ask for another replacement.    Finally decided to sell it to my friend because he would be long time miner.   You can't really resell this to other people who only games.

Asus Z270 prime isn't bad just I got unlucky like the H110 but I didn't instantly avoid or feel regrets like many people do with products.

I'm still using MSI and Asus motherboards to this day.

Has anyone got 8 coins per day per 1080ti from Monacoin's Lyra2rev2?
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: F**K Chinese BTC on: September 14, 2017, 01:27:48 PM
This wouldnt happen if more people in NA use btc.  China could be a minority.   its just one country in the world that can bring the price down.  imagine another country becomes big on btc.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: F**K Chinese BTC on: September 14, 2017, 01:20:51 PM
Too bad that USA keeps bashing btc.  lol  its crazy that asia and europe has a bigger influence on btc.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: September 14, 2017, 01:03:47 AM
It does require more equipment and new skills.   You do get paid depends on the production film group.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: September 14, 2017, 12:51:27 AM
i guess im keeping my new gtx 1080ti, profit is still there after all, if something wrong happen i will use it in my architect life lol

yes   there is profit and you have a secondary use..

I have 18 1080 ti's  I can use them all. Grin

other then mining.

What else do you use them for

You can use it for rendering farms like those Pixar movies if your talking about non-mining work.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: They said on Windows 10 it couldn't be done....they lied. 9 GPU proven. on: September 13, 2017, 11:23:23 PM
Heh I came here thinking of 9 Nvidia cards or 9 AMD cards.
91  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: September 13, 2017, 09:47:55 AM
Well I gave up and went with Shift for a physical debit card.  They don't offer virtual card.  I think there is some US regulation that prevent making virtual cards.
92  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: September 12, 2017, 09:48:48 AM
Is there a Virtual debit card that can be in the US?  This is very annoying to fill out information and find out you can't make virtual card in the USA.  I even google it.   They even allow you to make an account in the USA

I tried SatoshiTango, SpectroCoin, and Shakepay.

 SatoshiTango = need ID  Cool

SpectroCoin
= cool  Wink

Shakepay = min deposit $20  Huh + network fee bitpay 0.000389BTC  Undecided

lol I already got those information and got rejected because my address is in USA even they allow purchases in dollars.

SatoshiTango didn't mention until you start putting information.

Shakepay same as Tango.

SpectroCoin is broken.  It doesn't let me get a virtual card.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as salary for a regular job? on: September 10, 2017, 01:48:54 PM
yeah i would get it.  i work under the table.  not a 9 to 5 job that gets a single check every 2 weeks.  its very annoying to get few checks (i drive to the person to get it) and cash it out.  i rather get paid by bitcoin than get few checks every week.

i don't really spend once i get it anyway.  so it doesn't bother me if it goes down as much as 50%.

Any coin is good if you try this.  Like if you sell ZEC at .06 and wait for price to hit $4800.  You make about over $3.5 a day.  It's risky but it's up to your judgement.

SIGT is good for on demand profits.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bios Mod for GTX 1080 ti on: September 05, 2017, 06:43:51 AM
You been on this forums longer than me.  1080ti doesn't have memory to profit from eth mining.  This is because GDDR5x doesn't have good timings.  Nvidia lock the bios for 10 series unless I miss something new.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What GPU is in your gaming computer on: September 04, 2017, 03:50:46 AM
I got myself a 1080 ti to test and game.  lol
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sixth alt coin thread I forgot to mod last thread. on: September 01, 2017, 01:10:41 AM

many people want 8-12 gpu they used to do 6.

me 2,3,4 riser free.

I got the ryzen 1800x  as it does hash the shit out of xmr.

I am tempted to buy a thread ripper 24 core  cpu miner and this board

but this would be more money  it will fit 4 waterblock cards easy  and the nice cpu

but my build  will do the lesser cpu rzyen 1800x and 3 easy water block cards.

I haven't seen mention of any low-end AM4 processor miner builds like the Biostar TB350-BTC Pro along with an AMD A6-9500.

Is there no interest in 6-GPU platforms any more?   Under $200 for MB & CPU.

Wow that sounds nice if the 1800x does well..  TR1950 is two 1800x linked up with Infinity fabric.  I bought 1950x for non-mining reason I might test it out.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: August 30, 2017, 10:20:33 PM
I'm still mining SIGT till the end for POS
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: When will video card price keeps being high like this? on: August 26, 2017, 12:08:44 AM
There are many competing companies making those videocards.

They can max out their production and all bought. So who just keep more profit? AMD? Sapphire?

What about video game industry now that gamers cannot buy card again?

Why such shortage of GPU? TIll when will this be happening?

lol TC you have to remember.  PC gaming isn't that big.  Production is meant for gamers not miners.  Some companies feared if it collapse.  Miners would simply just go away.   Imagine you produce 10,000 cards a month then all of a sudden mining starts to slow down.   Extra factories and the employees would be layoff.

What will hurt a lot is stupid fake RMA and greedy miners who join in late.   **** those people to hell.   Being in an employee for those manufacturers risky as investing into miner rigs.
