tell sidonia I pointed you to her.  philip  from howell new jersey 07731

Phil,
Your frame for the Onda 250 board is on its way to you.

Can I order one of these?

contact spots wood  he has them mention this thread.

I will not be ordering anymore boards for sale .

I made 8 to 10 dollars profit on each onda b250 sold .

I ordered 21
and sold 15 kept 6.

so about 140-150 profit I had 1 rma for 170 so I lost  around 20 or 30 dollars doing this.

I let buyer keep the dead board as was the only one  that I shipped outside the USA.

My source on alibaba Is :

Yeah  I normally mod the threads  so when insults fly I quote the post and delete the offending post.

Last thread I missed modding it and  a few times the thread had abusive insulting or out of context posts.

I let it slide  but  todays 2 posts on my incomplete build using the ryzen 1800x made me decide to end the thread.

So back to normal with me having mod status.  in thread six.

I will post more on the complete ryzen 1800x build .

congrats Phil ... thread #6 -- wow time past by fast!

I for one, am looking forward to the 1800 build -- I think many miss the point of the thread - its about learning, sharing and exploring new stuff -- making money is a given but knowledge and being nice to people, is more important IMHO.

To the gent in thread #5 about mining at home....

I started at home, but after 5 rigs.... wife not happy about the noise, heat and power bill, so I conveniently found a mancave/warehouse near the house. Me and my buddies (all recently retired) -- we pooled our funds and embarked on a modest mining empire. 2 years later, we have over close to 100 x GPU rigs -- big and small, plus Scrypt, X11 and SHA256 Asics hosted in Canada - thanks to cheap hydro power.

There was a question on profitability --- all I can say is all the wives are happy we didn't lose our retirement money and I think the last 2 years was the best that could have happened to the home miner, because it was profitable too!

While GPU mining is better for multi algo mining,  algo specific Asics miners are also needed in portfolio to ensure that a balanced mining strategy.

.... that is why Asic miner sales esp from Bitmain are often out of stock.

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

Hello phil and citronick and everyone.

Can you guys share your thoughts / insights on this:

I have the option to purchase a couple of Bitmain Antminer D3 for USD4,000.00 with late November delivery.

Based on current difficulty and prices, breakeven is in 30days at daily earnings of USD141.00.

I am worried about the increase in difficulty by November delivery i.e. 10x current difficulty such that daily earning drops to 14.10.

Is the 10x difficulty increase highly improbable?

I'm estimating close to a 10 jump by the end of OCTOBER, when most of the D3 models that have currently be sold are due to have been shipped - and that's with no idea how many IBeLink or Pinidea units will have shipped by then.
Then the Innosilicon A5 shipments start happening (but at the WAY HIGH price of the A5, I don't anticipate that unit having a huge short-term impact despite it's efficiency and performance).

Water cooled I can see for folks that need "in house" or "in apartment" QUIET builds, but it's going to be a fair bit more expensive than air-cooled.

You might want to think about a 4-card no-riser rig with your old favorite Biostar board (or one of the other similar options) with the 4 x 16-bit slots since you CAN cram water-cooled cards in tight without a lot of heat management worries - just need to have the waterblocks on the GPUs exit the barbs out the top like the EVGA Hydro Copper https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=11G-P4-6399-KR

Not sure why you want to use a Ryzen for the CPU though, trying to find a Ryzen motherboard with 3 usable 16-bit slots is a nightmare and I've yet to see 4 usable on a MB to date.

I do grant that pricing for Ryzen as a CPU has come down a lot since they introduced the 1200 and such, but it's still a pretty premium to pay on a mining machine over a low-end AMD or G-series Intel solution.

good day phil.

am all green team gpus right now:

biostar btc pro + risers:  10 x gtx1060 3gb(samsung mems)
asrock b250 gaming k4 + risers: 5 x palit gtx1060 6gb(samsung mems)

biostar board is running on an ubuntu linux server usb stick that I customized
asrock running on win10pro ssd

palit cards dont obey powerlimit setting on ubuntu and windows but they obey the TEMP limit setting of afterburner on win10pro thats why i havent switched.
I will try nvoc soon if it can tame the palit wild beasts.

I have yet to try your 3x1080ti builds as motherboards with 3xpcie slots are hard to come by or horribly more expensive in our part of the world.

currently mining on MPH ethash coin switching. havent gotten around to autoswitching with different algo.

Hmm, I wonder if I should sell my ZEN at this high price and grab another 3 * 1080ti

ATM I run 3 * 1080ti and a 1070, pulling about 2.45k Sols. That gets about 1 ZEN per day. Another 3 * 1080ti and I might get 2 ZEN per day.

The ryzen  1800x  does earn  $1.40

I got it for 360  the mobo was 180  so   540 spent

it costs 2400 watts  or 2.4 kwatts a day  it will pay off in about year with no gpus on the rig.

I have someone in mind for this a gamer.

It  should be a fun build.

I have plenty  of working biostar mobos. I may try a 4 card  1070 water block built

I haven't seen mention of any low-end AM4 processor miner builds like the Biostar TB350-BTC Pro along with an AMD A6-9500.

Is there no interest in 6-GPU platforms any more?   Under $200 for MB & CPU.

many people want 8-12 gpu they used to do 6.

me 2,3,4 riser free.

I got the ryzen 1800x  as it does hash the shit out of xmr.

I am tempted to buy a thread ripper 24 core  cpu miner and this board

but this would be more money  it will fit 4 waterblock cards easy  and the nice cpu

but my build  will do the lesser cpu rzyen 1800x and 3 easy water block cards.

congrats Phil ... thread #6 -- wow time past by fast!

plus Scrypt, X11 and SHA256 Asics hosted in Canada

Could you explain more about how the Asics hosted in Canada works? Do you buy miners and ship them to Canada and then pay a fee for hosting? You can pm me with the info if you'd like.

many people want 8-12 gpu they used to do 6.

me 2,3,4 riser free.

I haven't seen mention of any low-end AM4 processor miner builds like the Biostar TB350-BTC Pro along with an AMD A6-9500.

Is there no interest in 6-GPU platforms any more?   Under $200 for MB & CPU.

Wow that sounds nice if the 1800x does well..  TR1950 is two 1800x linked up with Infinity fabric.  I bought 1950x for non-mining reason I might test it out.

You should take a look at the EKWB blocks that connect 3-7 GPU's all only using a single slot each Cheesy

May i ask what the name of that EKWB block is? Are those modern GPUs? Thats a pretty compact build and ive been trying to search for it on their website but keep finding big water blocks for single GPUs.

I am old well if 60 is old  I am old.

I realize the forum has people from 13 to 85.

I have done 3 to 5 thousand in experimental builds the last 2 years.

I don't have time to argue with insulting posts.

The build is very specific it will be a water cooled build

Goal is 3 water cooled 1080tis or maybe water cooled 1070's
and 1 water cooled  ryzen 1800x

done riser free.

why  because I want to encourage people to build  all kinds of rigs.

I want every gamer  to mine in his sleep and water cooled rigs are quiet.

yeah  I have 20,000 usd plus in mining gear paid off  earning me more then 1000 a month.

real expansion for me will be the new solar array. till then I build different gpu rigs.  with different models

You should take a look at the EKWB blocks that connect 3-7 GPU's all only using a single slot each Cheesy

That is really cool !

This is really interesting.  I'm also wondering which motherboard that would be since you would probably need all 16x slots.

Its all about density i used to be fine with six but now with server psus i can turn a 36 gpu rack into 48 with still nice space between all cards and do 48 gpu thata 1000mhs  vs 1300 mhs
