81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPT][SPOTS] - Official Spots Thread - Use Your Spots For Birthday Raffles! on: June 30, 2014, 02:11:42 AM
So, as i said previously, first real target is 600. Few hour ago we reached this point... As i can see there was a try to sell-off some and provoke others to enter the rally. For that moment i didn't see enough traders to actively support it, but situation is much more promising than before. And because we now see @600 an order that huge enough (about 4.4% of all mined coins for the moment!) and the price is only 1.36B... Trader(s) want to sell some (if only little part from that order(s) then they don't want much more investments than now and want to release some money to return it to buy support) or maybe all of this order(s) (then they have much more than this in reserve). And few buy supports (just 2 to 5 peoples [bots + man or two] for the moment). Both of that (sell or buy) is good for that peoples - if they sell some at high then they will add support to make it harder, or if they bought some at low then they will add to reserve for a better time. As i see this investments (that already made) are mostly nothing for them so they are not in panic mode. All this says to me that we will see good rise some time later there.
PS: my birthday is 21st of july too Smiley)) that's why i interested in history of development of spots and their destiny Smiley)) if you don't believe i can shoot my passport or L/D. Smiley
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPT][SPOTS] - Official Spots Thread - Use Your Spots For Silver Raffle NOW on: June 28, 2014, 03:21:46 PM
I have logging of all trades for all coins, some algorithms, some research and "watching"...  some information...
Few days ago some trader(s) dumped by little packs of coins then bigger packs to dump and provoke panic-sell. Partially it worked, but this trader(s) sold some of their coins to so-called "enemy's" then bought some what was autosold, then placed dumping medium-size orders to dump (little higher than real prices), some of trader(s) saw risk and sold some, then some time later there are some movements that showed that buyer(s) start losing patience and when saw good volume with low price - bought it, then some time later they started to drive up to sell-off some to return investments and to rebought little more and marked few sell-off points. Biggest point for now that we can see was 500 and 600. Now it's 600, 500 was partially a fake (self-bought later). It's almost twice than trader(s) bought but if someone grab 600 and make some walls at 500+ then price will climb higher in close period of time even without PR.

PS: in mean of volumes in doge (3-5 weeks ago) this order(s) at 600 is nothing Cheesy Because buy orders at doge was 40-80 btc's worth. At spots there are only 0.389 btc's at 600. It's nothing compared to some other coins... With that volumes in sell part there are no need in big investments to drive up fast and hold there. Better this would be if coin can attract more miners. Much more - much higher price.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPT][SPOTS] - Official Spots Thread - Use Your Spots For Silver Raffle NOW on: June 28, 2014, 01:35:13 PM
Someone sold 110k to himself (i'm sure for 98%) at 400 satoshis. There are not so much mined coins so this trader tried to show others that there will be a big fall. But no. Spots mined not so much to fast dump now.
But now i see (last weeks) not so much traders in this coin. Hm. Interesting. But price is near zero. Why multipools jumping to spots? Price is very very low to mine... This can be possible only because difficulty is too low. This means that spots mined by very few people. They have some profit from mining them. But price is really near zero. I did some calculations early when i described step by step why i think the price for this coin is almost nothing.
Coin can jump x100-150+ times at current price - but it needs some good PR everywhere. And new miners of course to drive up difficuty and new good things like raffle to win some silver/gold etc. Maybe some shops to trade something useful with spots - computer hardware for example, or everything that can be delivered almost everywhere and can be useful and small enough for shipment... and so on.

Zack. Maybe all this "dances" around coin is because all who invented in job are young people (scholars, students etc) with big ambitions and no experience in life - they all can simply forget their promises, start doin something and when stuck somewhere because of lack of needed knowledge just running away? All who intended before and now in project...

86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPT][SPOTS] - Spots FORK A SUCCESS - Trading again on Cryptsy!!! on: June 16, 2014, 09:53:11 PM
There are no PR. There are no new users/traders, most of old users are disappointed (all IMHO). Multipool frequently shows spots as most profitable coin. Awaiting for crazy dump?

According to market trade history there was not so much sells to be autosells. I think if it was autosells then there must be more trades with lower volumes, but there was few trades with big volumes (or it was autosell from biggest miners - but spots are very cheap to mine for big fishes). And sells was mixed with buys. So, this was bots, imho.

Wow-wow-wow. Maybe slower? 400 satoshis and falling...

I've updated the poll with a new question...  I want the community to decide.  Spots or Spots2.  I'll close the pool at midnight GMT (~12 hours from now).

Some people misunderstand you when you wrote "pool" and not "poll"... You scared them that you will return to old "spots" blockchain, coin, close pools.... Crazy %)

Is there still an issue with withdraws on Cryptsy? My May 3rd withdraw and subsequent support ticket has gone ignored for the last few weeks.

Sorry if OT, but I'm just looking for answers. Cryptsy is closing any new tickets I make.

Thanks for any info.

Same shit. A lot of coins gone nowhere. Month ago. No reply's from support.
Maybe all this dumps is cryptsy dumps and they're killing this coin? I just logged in and... wow... they cancelled most of my adt orders, but partially.. With high buy prices - orders executed, with low buy prices - most of them cancelled. So now i have lot of new adt's bought for much higher price than now. Fucking bastards.

Since this wasnt forked from an existing repo I will have to do a code review Sad

Should be back online on the new fork today or tonight

Thanx for reply, Mullick. At your cryptsy there are lot of tickets without any reply for weeks and even months. I have a few of them without any reaction or just closing without answer. Maybe this (spots wallet upgrade) will be fixed asap.

Not really, he covered it pretty well Smiley
The only other thing is while it won't drop existing connections after the hardfork it will reject any new connections from Spots v1 clients so they won't be sending invalid blocks into the network. If you want to restart your clients after the hardfork it will help with that too but isn't necessary.

Don't understand about what you are talking... I'm asking about wallet crashes... Can't be at new fork.

MrData, so, any ideas?

Need more info than that Smiley
My 1st guess with no information would be are you using a data folder with Spots v1 files in it? Make sure to use a clean folder if that's the case only copying over the Spots v1 wallet.dat (no peers.dat or other files.)

No, just started spots2-qt.exe /? without any other manipulations. Before that %AppData%/Spots2 didn't exist.
After crash i checked existence of this dir - no dir. Started daemon spots2d.exe - after that Spots2 dir appeared with blocks/ and chainstate/ dirs, .lock, db.log, debug.log, peers.dat and wallet.dat. After that started spots2-qt.exe /? again - same crash. spots2-qt.exe without arguments - same crash.

AmericanComputerNerd, make rar/7z/zip just with needed files (really there is nothing to install...). Some people, like me, installs only software that cannot run without real installation (lot of registry data/lot of different paths in many directories in system).

AmericanComputerNerd, detailed and satisfying answers. Thank you. I think, community will support you, you did good work if will finish what you planned. Especially "environment" - real things for coin, markets, shops etc.
