81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VOXELS (VOX) | The Official Coin of Virtual Reality and Voxelus Platform on: April 26, 2019, 06:20:26 AM
So voxels turned out to be a 1,000 + BTC scam? What the fuck. I always knew this project seemed shady as fuck.

We don't know for sure if it is a scam yet, but the communication has totally stopped and the project seems dead atm unfortunately Sad

It's crypto, yes anyone holding the coins got scammed because the owners involved in this had a horrible reputation from 2014-2015 and they will reappear again once crypto get bullish again with a new scam coin or new whatever. Just research and don't disregard bitcointalk threads talking about scams!

Seriously, it seems the same players just resurface. Think BTCP and look who was involved and research it. Vox was Blasko or whatever his name was..horrible reputation. Seemed to go as everyone said it would. Funny how that works.

If it looks like a shitcoin, walks like a shitcoin and smells like a shitcoin, then its probably a shitcoin.

Could not agree more with that last statement!  Wink
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: April 26, 2019, 06:19:23 AM
I found this MaidSafe introduction text:
https://app.algory.io/app/cryptonews/607574/what-is-maidsafe-introduction-to
Is it reliable source?
What is the state of MAID development now? Does Maid has any up-to-date roadmap? I cannot find any now on safenetwork.tech/ website

Developers not answering this last question cannot be a good sign....

On most of the coins I follow developers are at least active and responsive on the forum Undecided
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Staking, CRISP Interest, DNotes Pay on: April 26, 2019, 06:16:02 AM
NANO is up $1 to 1$ to 1.96 since getting on Binance. Funny they have a lot of the same features as DNotes. You can argue the differences but they are moving up and we aren't. They are not even advertising either but they are and up. I guess the Dev's took a chance and probably made there money back in the last month after signing with Binance. I know it looks like DNotes is just trying to get everything free. In today's world, not going to happen!

The Chezzz you may have the wrong assumption that "DNotes is trying to get everything free" and not realize just about everything we have done has cost significant amounts of money and time. You may be confusing the need to make DNotes Global a revenue generating company so that we can continue funding further development, marketing, and exchange relations with the notion that DNotes is looking for everything free. I can assure you that is absolutely false and I'm sure those who have put in incredible amounts of time and significant amounts of money with the idea that DNotes can benefit everyone would take some offense to such a comment.

I think it is just frustrating to many to watch other projects that are no where near DNotes calibre rise in price and gain attention while DNotes seems to be just sitting there and even slowing losing in value which is undeserving but happening. But Dnotes hard work and vision is impressive and I m sure there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks CryptoCracker, we certainly can relate to that sentiment and appreciate your comments. There is often a significant cost to doing things the right way but in the end that is the only way to do anything worthwhile and lasting. It may be easy to point at the meteoric rise of many projects and what they have done and think why not me too, or why not DNotes too, but the vision for DNotes is a big bold vision of the future that everyone can benefit from. From the beginning, we've always preached DNotes will be a long term investment, and for anyone that can spot those short term high gain investments we wouldn't want to stop anyone from investing in those as well just because you believe in DNotes mission or it's vision.

I am very excited to hear that Dnotes is staying true to its vision and still aiming to achieve its bold goals for the future Cool

Surely with the help of the HERo it will be able to gain additional momentum and get additional resources to accelerate development of the core coin again Grin

Report: G20 Members to Push Crypto AML/CTF Regs in June Meeting

https://dcebrief.com/report-g20-members-to-push-crypto-aml-ctf-regs-in-june-meeting/

I guess that we can expect a lot of volatility in crypto in general, at that time, with people being uncertain what will be the outcome of those talks Roll Eyes
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Staking, CRISP Interest, DNotes Pay on: April 02, 2019, 06:32:30 AM
It's turning out to be an interesting day for Bitcoin -- many were very apprehensive over which way the likely sharp movement would be based on the charts, and I think many will be happy to see that the price has made a fairly big jump upwards of around 13% at the time I wrote this. I still expect the markets to go sideways for some time yet, but this is a welcome movement for general market sentiment.

I just hope it is not again just temporary spike in price. It has been like this a few times in the past few months and the price then again suddenly dropped after a few days Roll Eyes So I will wait a few days before regaining my optimism  Cheesy

Hi guys, is there any news on the development of the coin itself? Or is the main focus at the moment still HERo? Smiley

What would be goals for the near future, let's say six months from now?  Smiley

Hi Amadeus82,

Most coins today are no longer committing big bucks to development. There is still a heavy cloud hanging over our industry. The dust must settle, followed by more cleaning up before things start moving again. This is not the time to go against the grain. Most projects are retrenching, but we continued advancing.

As a group, we never stopped. Instead, we have been pressing forward even harder. Since last December our focus has been relaunching CryptoMoms which has evolved to become HERo – “The Hero for Change & Equality is You.”

HERo is an amazing initiative for women self-empowerment worldwide. It is very well received, opening more doors for us than we imagined possible. HERo is our pathway for DNotes to be a truly inclusive digital currency. We are also gaining great support from women currently involved in cryptocurrency and blockchain.

HERo is our first business unit being scaled globally. It is also the first business unit to be revenue generating and as such justifiable to spend the limited development dollars we have available. We are currently investing to include a membership section that will host service providers thereby generating membership fees and advertising revenue.

If you have not done so, be sure to sign up for HERo’s newsletter: https://nextgenhero.io/newsletter/newsletter/

Thank you for explanation  Smiley If HERo will be revenue generating then it is even more understandable why it is now a primal focus. I am already signed up to their newsletter and I must say that there are some really good articles there. Keep up the good work then  Cool

89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: February 27, 2019, 09:07:12 AM
lol apparently list is dead...oh wait, aside from the ONE pump it had, it always was and has been dead shit LOL

If you got LISK at the 25c per lisk ICO it is worth holding (kinda) also if you are one of 101 elites forging lisk you can make income/profit...

as to the rest of us...(hell even the ICO folk who got Lisk) the price almost, IMHO, has to pump at least to $5 a LISK to get back on its

feet and compete with other coins...

less than 50/50 shot IMHO of that happening even with a pump in the next year...would like to be wrong..but can't see it

brad

There are many bitter holders of Lisk, but many other projects are rushing poor code out the door and suffering because of embarrassing bugs. Lisk is trying to develop high quality bug free code. For instance they rolled out a new automation testing process so they can test their code changes quickly: https://blog.lisk.io/how-introducing-automation-testing-for-our-blockchain-significantly-improved-development-speed-and-10c0a6934e37

I am wondering why there is so much hate against Lisk Shocked The development is progressing nicely, the team is posting regular updates etc. I think it is more that it can (unfortunately) be said for many other coins out there Undecided

Ripple Donates $2 M to Univ. of Kansas for Crypto Research

https://dcebrief.com/ripple-donates-2-m-to-univ-of-kansas-for-crypto-research/

I don't know.. such an article evokes a label like "green-washing" in me. There are other crypto projects out there that sponsor scholarships with some ICO money - as more and a lot of research is needed. But only about big players reports are written with the consequence people keep a positive attribution in mind.

I can understand both sides of that issue. It costs significantly more to report on a small project that already doesn't get much exposure in research, writing, and verification of stories. As a project it is significantly more difficult to get your news out to these outlets without paying significant money (https://techcrunch.com/2018/10/26/more-than-half-of-crypto-news-sites-are-pay-for-play/), not being one of the top 5 or 10 cryptos. Up to 5,000 for a press release that is for all practical purposes hidden on the site, and just for one news outlet. We don't appreciate the pay to play model, but also at the same time it does cost money and time to do the reporting.

There will be a solution for DCEBrief eventually, to get much more significant news. For HERo, we have reversed the model, you don't have to pay to have your article/contributor profile/companies/projects/events listed. However, we do request supporting our efforts through helping us gain exposure and through sponsorship, which allows us to do more and reach more people.

The great advantage of sponsorship models is the ethical side of the equation, where you are not beholden to any particular groups special interests / impartiality. Pay for play has made it difficult to draw the lines between opinion and news, and newsworthy / shilling. Both DCEBrief and Hero follow more business models that reject "pay for play" to keep the integrity of the information flow to our readers in tact.

I strongly believe that keyword in previous post is by all means "INTEGRITY". In today's world, full of false information and half-truths, integrity is something which is really valuable and precious Smiley I have no problem with content/articles which are being paid to show on different news sites. But in that case I believe that it should be clearly stated/marked that it is payed/promotional article/post. The only question is if the companies would still be willing to pay in that case? Undecided

Glad to hear that. I was afraid that DCEBrief would be put to side track, because of more focus being put on HERo.

I am positive that DCEBrief has great potential, as does DNotesEDU and togeether with HERo they can be of a great value to DNotes ecosystem Wink
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Staking, CRISP Interest, DNotes Pay on: February 06, 2019, 12:22:40 PM
All, just a quick update. We are still focused primarily on HERo and continue to make great progress. The sentiment of responses are overwhelmingly positive and supportive. It is demonstrating our commitment to DNotes as a trusted inclusive digital currency in global commerce, creating opportunities for everyone around the world and people are certainly seeing that now more than ever.

From a recent feature on HERo How to Succeed as a Woman in the Tech Industry
"HERo’s are women who are making their mark without giving in to adversity. They are following their passion, and stepping into the most thriving version of themselves. Despite cultural norms and stereotypes, they are breaking the mold.  "

Very nice, I see that HERo is working very well and has a lot of good articles on the page, thumbs up Cool I hope that it will also help to attract the investors and help with promotion of DNotes coin Wink

Niceo to see that HERo is doing well, I think that it can really be beneficial to the whole DNotes ecosystem  Cool

Also do you have any exciting news from the development side of the coin itself? I won't ask about funding, since I know that you cannot answer that because of NDA, but I'm curious what are nice treats and milestones that we can look forward in the near future  Wink Any new functionality or partnership?  We have also been talking here about new exchanges a lot for a long time now, I know that here you also cannot disclose details, but are you currently in active negotiations with some of the bigger exchanges? Cool

Hehe I know that I posted many questions now, but it would be nice to get some updates. I know that you are all busy and working hard, but I guess that all who visit and read this forum, are not so familiar with the coin and the team itself as I am, and would appreciate some updates  Wink

No worries Amadeus, good questions, I'm sure they will be helpful for everyone reading along.

We don't intend to have a major blockchain update until after we have secured funding. The biggest reason for that is we want to ensure we have everything lined up, looking into the future of where we are heading, and reducing the number of forks we will require. That will take a lot of forward planning and problem solving. With limited resources and the current temperature of the industry it doesn't make sense to tackle that right now.

Nothing major to report on top exchange listings at this time, many smaller exchanges have been reaching out to us however that is mostly for fee solicitation with very little perceived benefit to DNotes and our supporters. In doing this before it takes several months for the exchanges to typically respond, so it's a bit of a waiting game. We suspect our picks for the top exchanges are looking for coins that have a much greater volume than we have at the moment, while that may be a reasonable expectation, it will be difficult to achieve that on the smaller exchanges. We may need an overwhelming demand to really get that effort moving in the right direction.

With all of that said, HERo is the perfect project considering the current state of the industry and our current position. It will allow us to reach out on multiple fronts to influential people in and outside of our industry, including in the venture capital and investing areas and introduce part of what we are doing as part of a massive networking and partnership building effort. That is where we spend a consideration amount of effort over the near term.

Thank you very much for answering my question. I can see the reasoning behind the major blockchain update further in the future and not rushing it now. I 100 % agree with you, it is better to do it good than do it soon. Especially considering the current temperature of the industry, as you well said.

About bigger exchanges I think it is kind of enchanted circle...to get on bigger exchange we need bigger volume, but to get bigger volume we would need bigger exchange Undecided I hope that soon somehow DNotes will be able to break that circle, increasing organic interest and awareness about DNotes by HERo seems like a step in a right direction. At least until funding is complete and more funds would be available also for marketing  Smiley

Wish you all the best in the week which just started....if I am not mistaken I think that there should also be CRISP payout this week, so it is going to be great week for all DNotes holders Cheesy

The HERo outreach program is going well, we are on track to have 50k-100k unique visitors in the first month and we will spend a bit of time building up social media.

That is great number, well done Cool And nice to hear about building up social media, it is really the area which has a lot of space for improvement Wink
