81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should We Trust Blockchain ? on: January 21, 2019, 06:58:17 AM
Blockchain technology looks to be able to offer the security and reliability we need from immutable transactions stored on the chain. It is especially useful for records keeping and database interaction I have high confidence in blockchain being secure.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will never sell my Alts for loss: Prefer to take them to the cemetery! on: January 21, 2019, 06:56:01 AM
The key to crypto investments well in truth any investments is to never invest money that you cannot afford to lose. It is simple but ignored by most investors who want to make a quick buck. It is tough to sell for a loss and if you find what you are holding is now worth a few $ rather than hundreds it makes more sense to hold on to them and wait for a recovery.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple will Die on: January 20, 2019, 04:27:55 AM
Not sure why you have such a negative view on Ripple, but face facts it has been around already for over 5 years, and it has adoption deals from many large money transfer organisations, it is being used for its intended purpose whether than large banks get onboard with them or not. It has a much better chance of survival than 99% of the ICO coins from 2018.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how could i find an exchange for new tokens on: January 20, 2019, 04:23:31 AM
If the tokens you have invested with are ERC-20 then it is pretty certain there will be a market for them on Forkdelta as anyone can sell tokens there whether it is an official listing from the project or not. IDEX requires co-operation from the project for a listing so this can often be an option as well. If they are not ERC-20 then check with the Telegram group of the project for up to date information.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2019 first quarter market prediction on: January 18, 2019, 05:10:36 AM
I am expecting that we will see a return to funds in the market when the Chinese New Year celebrations are over so am looking for a broad recovery in the crypto market late quarter 1 and early quarter 2.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good ICOs should be protected from dump on: January 17, 2019, 06:21:15 AM
Unfortunately at the moment with ICOs it is a case of throwing the baby out with the bath water. The market has little regards for what people have perceived as quality ICOs and in fact the only way to remain immune to the market rout was to postpone listing until conditions have improved.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding EOS? on: January 17, 2019, 06:07:14 AM
I am sitting on several hundred EOS coins purchases mostly during the ICO stages in 2017 and 2018 and then again some recently in the last 2 months of 2018. I think EOS has great potential to increase in value when the market turns to a bullish phase.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum hard fork, bitcoin rumors, future outcome? on: January 16, 2019, 03:30:31 AM
The two Ethereum fork chains last week (Classic Vision and Nowa) turned out to be little more than scams hoping to capture people's private keys, I hope nobody fell for them and lost anything significant. The Constantinople hard fork that was scheduled for today has now been delayed due to a security issue

89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A bounty telegram channel that do not update is a warning sign on: January 16, 2019, 03:25:38 AM
If there has been no activity on the bounty Telegram channel for more than a week from the program administrators then I would take that as a huge warning sign that the project is dead. Failure to update tables in a reasonable timescale is another red flag. Seen it more than once in the past 12 months and really hoping that things will turn around when the market does.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters should remain united on: January 15, 2019, 07:37:24 AM
I agree that some bounty campaigns have been very shaky and the participants efforts were not properly rewarded, BUT I think you will find in all campaigns the small print says that final decisions are up to the company in distribution and rewards. If an ICO fails then it is unlikely the bounty participants will get paid out, it's a fact of life.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Market 2018 vs 2017 on: January 15, 2019, 07:34:21 AM
Unless we see a reversal in the overall crypto markets and with Bitcoin, in particular, I predict that 2019 will not be good for ICOs. The Bear market has proven to be extremely destructive for ICO in 2018 when projects failed to reach hardcap funding targets and crashed heavily upon exchange listing.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing on exchanges has no effects anymore on: January 14, 2019, 05:28:41 AM
Listing on a big exchange is no longer a landmark event and any temporary rise is soon given back. Better exchanges simply offer more liquidity options and potential customers but not an automatic increase in price.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you manage your risks? on: January 14, 2019, 05:26:58 AM
I have quite strict targets for when I will sell coins and I make sure that I always stick to them. The initial aim should be to recover my investment and this can sometimes be achieved by selling enough of the coins to recoup my investment and leave the rest actively running for possible further profits. The other strategy is to wait for an increase of between 20 and 30% and then sell all.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple will Die on: January 13, 2019, 08:41:07 AM
I think Ripple will do just fine with or without the support or patronage of the major banks. They have already forged partnerships with many other money transfer entities like for instance Western Union. Ripple is strongly a top 3 coin vying for second place with Ethereum currently no other coin is anywhere near them in market cap.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Twitter accounts do you follow? on: January 13, 2019, 08:35:55 AM
I like to follow the twitter accounts of the head figures of some of the crypto projects that I am either invested in or will plan to be invested with. I do not have time to read too much information from many sources so I keep things manageable
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is CMC still safe at all ?? on: January 12, 2019, 07:58:28 AM
How can it be safe or unsafe it is solely an information site and not somewhere you would send crypto or give your KYC data to. It has often proven to be inaccurate with data but it is a place where we can get a good measure of what is going on with the market.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I Lost ETH Automatically From Ledger Nano S on: January 11, 2019, 04:59:16 AM
Wow that is pretty messed up those things are supposed to be totally secure. I only heard about people buying ones that had already been set up and losing out that way but as your re-initialised it as well that should have been covered. Hope you get some satisfactory support from them.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardworking pays not luck on: January 10, 2019, 04:36:39 AM
This has been probably the worst 12 months period to be a bounty participant, the Bear market has crushed most of the ICO projects in value and anything you did receive from the end of a campaign was probably worth very little. We need to see a reversal in fortunes for the crypto space before taking part in a bounty program becomes worthwhile again. Other option is to hold the coins you receive and simply wait for better times.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solution to Etherum on: January 10, 2019, 04:27:42 AM
I don't see your logic that creating ERC-20 coins and smart contracts are dumping the price of Ethereum, after all it is only a platform that is being used for them to launch. Ethereum became oversold in my opinion due to the ICO funds from ERC-20 token sales being cashed in to preserve project funds in FIAT. If you notice once it dropped under $90 it very quickly rebounded to $150.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves will replace ethereum on: January 09, 2019, 05:07:48 AM
I don't think that Waves will become the next supposed Ethereum beater, having been involved with a token listing on their platform it has been difficult to trade as no other exchanges are available and the team have been supposedly difficult to work with according to our Dev.

There where a lot of scam tokens on there also pretending to be something they were not.
