81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin. 2017 will be $ 1 in December. on: November 09, 2017, 09:10:41 PM
I think 1$ is a bit ambitioned, but right now it is holding strong at the 20 satoshi mark, so it might break out soon.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the best Cryptocurrency Hedge Funds to Invest for Long term on: November 07, 2017, 09:00:40 PM
I myself know also ICONOMI, they are a bit longer on the market still and had their ICO last year. I think they already have a working beta fonds.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If planning to HODL I think now is the time, which three coins will make it? on: November 07, 2017, 06:39:43 PM
1) Bitcoin
2) Ethereum

Are the only two coins I can confidently say will make it past that time. For all others it is unknown as this industry moves quite rapidly.
3) Litecoin
4) Monero
Those are no newcommers so will endure a two years timespan, too. This Nr.3 seems to be present at any bigger bitcoin mining location kinda as a hedge for asic investments.
And Nr.4 beeing the fallback if centralized mining was the wrong answer on all decentralisation matters.

More options for the adventurous:
5) Zcash as an alternative to Nr.4 if you can stand mining subsidy.
6) IOTA if they survive their infancies which is looking worser every day.
7) Waves, Komodo, Ardor but that seems to meander, not so sure about these.
8 up until 15) Stuff small change into different ICO gambles. Remember NXT!

I like this list. I think IOTA and Monero can be really big. However IOTA needs to fix their big problems right now!
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bittrex will support nov 2017 split segwitx2 B2X on: November 07, 2017, 06:35:22 PM
There's already announcement of exchanges to support segwit2x in the coming fork this Novemeber. However there are also exchanges that won't support. This is really a hot issue right now, aI'm quite excited forte coming fork to happen. Don't panic. Stay foot.

Just today an official announcement came from Bittrex on Twitter. They will credit 1:1 the Segwit coin to all BTC holders! Good News!
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Myetherwallet who use this? How much ETH holding? on: November 07, 2017, 06:33:42 PM
Where is the download link for MEW?

You can download latest release from here: https://github.com/kvhnuke/etherwallet/releases/tag/v3.10.7.0 (choose etherwallet-vx.xx.x.x.zip file). Move it to offline computer, unzip it and run it by double-clicking on index.html file. You can then generate your private keys.

And I send the generated data to a MEW online field and just send it, without inserting my private key?

Yes, pretty much. Here's a link to MEW documentation pertaining to offline usage with more detailed description of the entire process: https://myetherwallet.github.io/knowledge-base/offline/

Thanks a lot! I am going to try that one out, so I can be safe for sure and not get hacked Smiley
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Myetherwallet who use this? How much ETH holding? on: November 06, 2017, 08:45:15 PM
Not safe at all, because you connect wallet through internet with no precautions which ledger nano s provide. So every connection is a risk to some extent.

You can download and run MEW locally, even on offline computer. You can generate private keys there and you can also generate and sign transaction there. Then you just copy signed transaction data and move it to another MEW instance that runs on your online computer.
Awesome. Wan't aware of that opportunity. I hold my ETH on hardware wallet and tokens on MEW and Android wallet. But not so much as OP.

Oh that is really interesting. Where is the download link for MEW? And I send the generated data to a MEW online field and just send it, without inserting my private key?
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bittrex will support nov 2017 split segwitx2 B2X on: November 06, 2017, 08:43:30 PM
It is always better to keep BTC in paper wallet, where you own your private key. So you can watch the events and then decide, what you want to do without hurry. You can be sure to get the split coins. Some exchangers even have in their TOS, that funds may not be saved for a longer period and should be only deposited for trading/exchanging.

Okay, and what would you say is a good programme to create a paper wallet?
Ledger isn't considered a paper wallet right? Since it still involves a company in between?
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bittrex will support nov 2017 split segwitx2 B2X on: November 06, 2017, 08:02:32 PM
this get way complicated now.
a list is here after segwitx2 what will do exchanges
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/b2x-or-not-b2x-how-exchanges-will-list-segwit2x-coin/

bittrex will support to new coin? b2x and split to new wallet and allow trade.
coinbase do support and they emailed

and the other whic way is better paper wallet or exchange because paper wallet will take time to claim if fall or raise fast you are out market until you can get a wallet and claim new coins?

It's kind of funny to see Bittrex accepting that coin though they won't accept Bitcoin Gold immediately. Maybe they are working with them.

Did Bittrex not support Bitcoin Gold, we don't get it in retrospect after the replay protection?
Does anyone know a safe wallet to install to get B2X?
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Cash replace BTC after the Fork? on: November 06, 2017, 08:01:23 PM
I think BCH can reach the 0.2 BTC mark again. It was even at 0.4 at issuing, do you remember. So everything is possible, however there will be some dumpers to it..
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Promising ICOs to Watch for in November on: November 06, 2017, 08:00:21 PM
They sound really interesting. To be honest I am not sure about ICOs right now, I think the true hot issue market will start again in spring. However there are some hidden gems right now!
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Myetherwallet who use this? How much ETH holding? on: November 06, 2017, 07:59:17 PM
Actually I was wondering. Do you know if MEW is a centralised or decentralised wallet. Is there a company behind it? Or is it all open source and neutral?
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is LISK underrated? on: November 06, 2017, 07:57:29 PM
I think Lisk is really going to moon even more. After meeting the CEO at a conference I can say they are some competent guys!
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 06, 2017, 07:56:31 PM
Maybe a coin can also stay at a stable value, like LTC at 4 dollars and now at 55. Maybe mondeo has founds his equilibrium at the 100 mark, who knows?
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: omg or qtum 2018 on: November 03, 2017, 07:36:30 PM
I actually missed the OMG hype, was there an ICO or did it got airdropped to the MEW if you had some Ether inside it?
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin going on fire! on: November 03, 2017, 07:35:03 PM
I think the second the fork is coming, alts will rise 20-30%. If this is sustainable however we will see..
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Metronome (MTN) Bitcoin Killer? on: November 02, 2017, 09:13:42 PM
Nothing is a bitcoin killer. BTC is so huge and controls the entire crypto market. It even has mainstream name recognition, which nothing else in crypto has. Possibly in the future something will supplant it, but this seems extremely unlikely at the moment.

Maybe Segwit2x might be a BTC killer in creating 2 coins and 51% attack possibilities. No-one knows, we will see
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Give me a coin that will easily go 3x on: November 02, 2017, 08:49:45 PM
check out RADS - only 10m market cap is a joke

Yeah I have some on a cold wallet. Much room to grow, if also more exchanges adopt it!
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: November 02, 2017, 06:14:46 PM
I think it is an old titan standing strong wow. Interesting to still see him discussed, but I think every coin might get a pump once in a while, even those declared dead for a long time.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ELECTRONEUM SPECULATION THREAD on: November 02, 2017, 05:54:04 PM
I think Electroneum was a bit of a crazy ICO, they found the mistake much too late and then just decided to fork from Monero after funding of 40 millions. Also I think it is interesting that a lot of small people participated because of the Instagram campaigns I have seen!
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Amazon acquired ethereum based domain name on: November 02, 2017, 05:52:56 PM
Wow, this means great news. So much real life usage coming into the terrain. Maybe they buy the .eth addresses too!
