81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethOS - Ethereum Mining Platform on: September 15, 2017, 05:42:59 PM
I have a doubt, testing about 1050ti, in windows I get more than 15 mhs, in ethos I am not able to take out the 14 mhs without becoming unstable and the hash falls and varies, I test in all ways with the globalmem from 3000 to 4500 increasing from 100 in 100 values... any suggestions?
Any idea about this? thanks!

use memory values higher.
i have 1060 i wrote 5400 mem clock on config. but gpu works on 4750
increase mem clock on config and check mem values from webgui

If I have already done it, but the gpu fall, they do not exceed 14 mhs and become unstable, i do not understand as in windows i get more than 15 mhs stable and here i am not able to do it.

I use an Asrock pro BTC 2.0, the GPUs are 1050TI, it's a test rig, I try to test new things, performance and more, tomorrow if I can prove what you just told me, thank you and continue with the project!

Well I just loaded up v0.70 early AM this morning. So use that build. It already has the nvidia-384 drivers installed for you.  Cheesy

If you make sure the Secure Boot Keys are cleared in the BIOS (if it even has Secure Boot Keys) then you should be fine. I was in the midst of testing on my Z270-A motherboard when we got company so I will get to testing that motherboard with this build in another hour or so. It has worked flawlessly on the 2 boards I tested it on so far. I think you'll like this v0.70 build, so I'll be anxious for your feedback Porticus. Thank you for trying my build and thank you for the feedback so far.

Ok perfect, I got out of work and I'm getting nowhere with it, it's going down SO, we'll see how it works ^^^

the operating system does not boot after installing it, I downloaded it, decompressed it with 7-zip, and installed it with the hdd raw copy tool, I leave you images of the error!

Porticus thank you. You're the first to acknowledge that you're trying to boot from my new UbuMiner build! That's awesome.

I'm just curious what kind of motherboard are you using? On newer motherboards you have to clear your Secure Boot keys out of bios.
My newer Z270-A motherboards will do the same thing if I don't clear the boot keys out.

You can look at nvOC's thread to see half way down his OP he talks about various motherboard settings. He said he has no problem with my referring people to his list:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1854250.0

If you clear the secure keys and it doesn't boot. Try holding SHIFT to get into the grub menu and pick the Recovery Mode (3rd option from top). Once you get to the mid-boot menu; you can continue normal boot.

Hola!

What is the best way to get an update when there are new ones to order.

I don't check this forum every 5 minutes and so when this happens over the weekend I probably will be late again.

Im usually most active here, and the official thread went up weeks ago, and was posting updated on when the pre-order would start etc. Also started using twitter more so you can follow me on there (jstefanop1).

I probably should get around to making a website/email list Cheesy

will you call around here when it's presale? I'm interested in a few units.

Yes once first batch starts shipping ill see if a second batch is feasible and will give plenty of advance notice before that goes for sale.
Perfect, counting on it, good luck with the project.

Which coin? Did you set it to LOCAL in 1bash?

etc with claymore 9.8.. if i think i did everything the way i should... but i don't have much experience in linux.

I have updated and clean ethos, but I can't get it to mine with 1050ti graphics, supposedly the minefield and the reading of the drivers should be automatic, but it tells me that it doesn't detect available drivers..

The price drop makes it a pretty sound buy for the future - its about 1/4 of its ATH - and almost all coins eventually return to that point.

The project itself is interesting, and as long as enough people use the tokens to try and shape projects, it could be a very successful company.

If I feel the same way, I made myself with a few people in different prices, now it's low, but the whole market is down, I see a solid project and if they keep working on it I can get to have a significant rise, mainly because there is nothing similar in the blockchain, for me the most interesting thing is to be able to decide on the districts and governance issues.

I downloaded it to test, but I am not able to mine it, I wanted to use claymore 9.8 to mine ETC, but I never start mining, I double-click on the start. bash and it only opens it with the editor, it doesn't start the claymore...
U have to put this image on a usb key, config and bot on this one after. (Check OP for how to)

When u launch your nvOC, u have to config 1bash before.
1bash will be executed automatically on bot, u dont have to execute him after start. And that from older version.

nvOC0019 use 3main to launch process Wink

Yes, I already have it installed, and I'll start it up, where do I modify the 1bash? I saw that at the beginning of the SO a miner starts up, I had no idea of modifying it.

97  Local / Minería de altcoins / Re: Minar Altcoins en "Solo" on: September 06, 2017, 09:27:06 PM
¿Alguien me podria ayudar?

Came across a very nice explanation on reddit the other day, see below. I like the project, I see the value but I should've sold while it was 0.20+. Now hodling on.

Quote
Since there aren't many terrific answers on here, I'll give it a go.
First, check out district's webpage and whitepaper. If you don't have a sound understanding of the project you probably won't really get a lot out of a conversation about why you should invest in the product.
In a nutshell, district is a framework that will allow users to create decentralized marketplaces or communities on the Etherium MainNet. It will let users, who otherwise have no technical skills, create applications on the blockchain. Think of it like Amazon. Amazon provides a platform on which users can build their own marketplaces to sell goods to you and I. Vendors choose to create a shop on Amazon instead of opening their own websites for a number of reasons ranging from cost to the technical nature of operating a webpage.
So why does this have to be decentralized you ask? The short answer is it doesn't, but Amazon and eBay don't have to be operated electronically either. Remember, Sears had quite a bit of success with their catalog business, supplying basically the same service that Amazon and eBay do. If you believe that the world is heading towards decentralized data management and information sharing then it only makes sense that this would be the logical progression for e-commerce.
Decentralization also carries with it the benefit of community ownership, which should, in theory, lead to a lower end cost for users. The white paper uses the example of Uber. Uber has, to an extent, disrupted the market for taxis by offering users a cheaper way to get from A to B as Uber doesn't have to deal with the same overhead that a taxi company does. We can go a step further, however, as Uber is still centralized. Users pay a portion of the money they earn by transporting individuals from A to B. If you were to completely decentralize the process then drivers wouldn't be paying the third party for the overhead involved in branding, operating servers, etc. It's the same idea with District; they want to offer a similar service to that of Amazon Marketplaces, without having to pay Amazon a portion of each sale.
The DNT token exists to give holders an opportunity to engage with communities they are passionate about. By staking their tokens in a district, users are given an opportunity to guide the direction of that community.
It's not a perfect solution on its own; rich users could really abuse their power and basically dictate the future of certain communities thereby eliminating the benefits of decentralization. This is where community bylaws and the Aragon governance system come in to play. The initial creator of a community is given a one-token stake in that district. This means that they can set the community bylaws which will then be enforced by Aragon. By setting bylaws users can ensure that the communities they have staked DNT in will grow in a way that benefits all members.
The token can also be used to vote on which districts will be constructed on the framework in the future.
The token itself is only as valuable if people see value in being able to participate in the markets or communities they are a part of. Will it ever be worth $50 a token? Probably not, but I could definitely see people paying a couple dollars per token to be able to participate.
That's the basic problem district is trying to solve, as for why it's mentioned on here so much... there was a lot of hype around the token's launch on Binance, people bought in high without ever really looking in to what the product did (I'm guilty of this). It seemed like a great way to make a quick buck. After the token didn't spike in price upon hitting Binance, people who never really understood what they were investing in began to sell triggering the mudslide you see now. People who have held their investment are now just trying desparately to get the price back up by shilling the coin on reddit, 4chan, etc.
I personally think that the coin has value long term though. It's a project that lets regular people access and build on the Etherium MainNet, that means that it's valuable to more than just crypto nerds. The coin has a relatively low marketcap given the service being offered and I honestly believe that it will pick up again once the last of the individuals who invested without knowing what they were getting into sells.
Sorry if this is long and rambly, I just kind of typed without really thinking to hard about structure, grammar, or formatting.

Thank you very much for the text, it's really interesting, it has to be followed closely and try to participate in the districts as much as possible, what do you think of the idea i said above for a district?
