I bought some bitcoin in March 2017, sell half of it in Dec 2017 and hodl the other half since then. The current downward trend seem to last for a very long time and I'm quite upset about it. What do you guys think? Should I hodl or sell all my BTC now?

Well, we can't really say so, because the price of bitcoin is not constantly rising through the roof, sometimes the price goes down and this phenomena happens countless of times. so we can't really tell if the price of bitcoins will be $20000 by the end of the year.
There is a chance for the price of bitcoins to still reach $20k dollars because bitcoins price last year has dumped so hard because of china who bans ico's in their own country but still bitcoins managed to reach $19k dollars before the year ends. |

$7k dollar price is still expensive because the market price last year is just below $1k dollar so i think that bitcoins today is a good investment because it can grow even more in the future. |

I strongly get you point where you stemming from but i really don't hang all the blame on their ignorant by reason of fake news that really make people dump the coin. I believe there are relatively major problem and reasons behind the decrease in bitcoin price and if we all stick to hodl it will be better.
People should be knowledgeable about cryptocurrency before investing a huge amount so negative speculations should not affect their decisions if they have a good information in their mind. |

2018, for me, will be the deciding factor for bitcoin if it will be a part of our future or not. But taking into account the previous history of bitcoin, I think there's a chance that we will see bitcoin repeat the all time high last year or just close to it.

I do not believe it because I think it's just a crap made to deceive a lot of people. bitcoin price will reach $ 250k within 4 years? It is impossible  In my own opinion, it was possible to reach $250k dollars depending on the investors in the market and if the demand is consistently increasing before the year ends then $250k value is reachable. |

it looks like we are getting farther away by $ 50k, the bear market lasts very long and frustrates many investors. this makes many investors sell the bitcoin they have.
Yes it was far from getting $50k dollars but there is always a chance for the price of bitcoisn to grow even more just like what happened last year when china banned ico's which makes the price to drop so hard but still bitcoins managed to reach $19k dollars before the year ends. |

As what i have seen on the coinmarketcap.com for the market price for bitcoin that literally goes down to 6K usd is a good time to start the investment. I am waiting for this moment but still i need more money to invest on it. Well i hope i could get more money the following day so that i could invest in this time where bitcoin market price falls down.
Today price of bitcoin is dropping again to $6,500 and i guess were dipping again hopefully to go down at $6,000 or maybe under so i could purchase another bitcoin.we have same belief that the best way to earn here is buy in dip and hold as long as what it takes to make good profit In my own opinion, if the prices is dropping then it means that it was good to invest even more and you can take advantage of the current situation in order to earn more profit in the future. |

Just wondering guys, you were all so confident we were in a strong bull market and would break 10k easily, looks like the opposite is becoming a reality and we're heading straight back to new lows.

First of all everything in this world is a risky gamble..every kind of investment are risky too ...but ofcourse for you to be able to manage risk in every investment especially in crypto currency you have to every little thin in it up to the biggest once ..how is it work.is it scam or not..and most importantly dont ever ever trust to anyone that says to you give them money and they can doouble it...so all you need to have are awareness and commonsense..
In my own opinion, trading is just the same as gambling with lower risk and people can always earn profit if they can hold their coins until the price grows up and not just immediately sell when the prices are dropping in the market. |

As some others have already said, everyone should diversify their portfolio, but sometimes people think that trading cryptos is a quick rich scheme...
This was maybe true in 2017, this year it is a bit more difficult to really gain profit.
I would only invest money in cryptos that you are willing to loose.
The market is volatile so obviously, you will not earn profit immediately and you may lose money as well but the best thing to do is just hold your coin until the market prices pumps up. |
