81  Economy / Economics / Re: Money Is Political, Not Technical on: February 27, 2018, 06:09:27 PM

We're living in a lie, and the earlier we wake up to it, the better.  What officials and mainstream media and academics tell us must sometimes be dismissed with: it's just politics.

All the OP is good, but the last sentence beats all the rest. Because the problem is nore really the money, which is just an instrument. The problem is the control of the narrative. Once you have the control of the (mainstream) narrative, you have the control over reality. And of course it's all a lie, but the lie goes much deeper than the argument of money alone. And as for people awakening from this mega-lie, have no illusions. Only a catastrophe of enough magnitude will be able to act as a wake-up call.
82  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen if another cryptocurrency took Bitcoins place in Market Cap? on: February 27, 2018, 05:59:14 PM
Nothing special would happen. Perhaps, the crypto sphere would become even more dynamic than how it is now, since people would get an even stronger sense of a world in a rapid change.
Disagree completely, I think there would be a complete shit show for a couple of weeks to months depending on how hard the Bitcoin maxmalists want to drag it out. In the end though, if that does happen it will be better for everybody involved here and for the world, because if there is a blockchain that is more secure, immutable, censorship resistant than Bitcoin than by all means show me today!

You are right, I have to admit. My point of view was long term, after the storm and the shitshow. I didn't focus on the short term. Thank you for pointing out my lack of precision. But I see that long term we basically agree.
83  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for someone to manipulate the virtual currency market? on: February 27, 2018, 05:56:24 PM
Of course yes and, by the way, it happens all the time, almost continuously. There are such whales around, people with such massive assets that they are able to totally manipulate any market. And they do it.
84  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we totally eliminate all the banks in this world? on: February 27, 2018, 05:53:58 PM
I think it is much more likely that all the banks in the word eliminate YOU, if you ever try something like that. They have already murdered whoever was standing in their way, including several presidents of the United States.
85  Economy / Economics / Re: Do bitcoin millonaires deserve their wealth? on: February 27, 2018, 05:42:52 PM
Also the current richest people in the world have probably not deserved their wealth, having heritated it from their ancestors. Also the ordinary citizens in the Western world don't deserve the wealth they have compared to those who have been born in the third world. There is basically only a little percentage of people in the world who have really deserved their wealth. For this reason, this question is losing its meaning, which disappears inside the frame of a much wider problem.
86  Economy / Economics / Re: What coin do you believe will be next to bitcoin? on: February 27, 2018, 05:38:42 PM
Forget Bitcoingold and other scammish hard forks. The next Bitcoin, in my humble opionion, should be BTC, Bitcore, which is a very much improverd version of Bitcoin and has been the first coin ever to operate a "soft fork" from Bitcoin.
87  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagine Bitcoin recognized around the world. on: February 27, 2018, 05:36:39 PM
Bitcoin is still too technical for most of the people. For mass adoption you need a no brainer, something that even an ape could manage to operate. The tech still need to evolve in order to become THAT easy that anyone could use it.
88  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you start from zero cash and make a living with the opportunities in crypto? on: February 27, 2018, 05:34:56 PM
The magic of the current state of things in the crypotocommunity is that in fact YES YOU CAN start from zero and make a living opportunity out of it. You just need a computer, an Internet connection and your brain. there are so many projects out there willing to pay for people who help them getting known...

90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Girls in the world of crypto currency on: February 27, 2018, 05:23:29 PM
Girls are more emotional and rely more on intuition, in trading this is unacceptable, they do not belong here.

I'm a girl and Im in too Cryptocurrency. I also know some girls who are into this kind of field and I can say that they are quite good and very much interested in crypto world. So i beg to disagree that we do not belong here.

I guess that many comments in this thread have been made in third world countries where the role of the woman is still very traditional. Would you try to have such a discussion with such arguments in a public forum in the West most people who are posting here would probably get lynched.

F0ME is dead, any new coin should try to distance itself as much as possible of a past scam coin in my opinion.

So F0me was just a coin of the guy who disappeared with a couple of Bitcoins? I thought it were the coin of a community. But if the community cannot avoid to associate the name of its coin with the person who started the coin, what sort of community is it?

Thanks for the node list. I'm not a tech expert, my question is:"Where do you get the node list? Do the dev's publish it?"

That's a good question, I would also know to know the answer Smiley And by the way neither I am a tech expert, maybe the answer is really banal Smiley
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO jump up when airdrop announced on: February 27, 2018, 12:04:43 AM
Well, this is a cliché which repeates itself every time. Announce an airdrop of whatever to the holders of a coin, and that coin will get pumped. Would be nice to know these things in advance... Wink
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex Preparing for an Exit Scam! DO _NOT_ SEND COINS THERE! on: February 27, 2018, 12:02:52 AM
First: Why don't you verify your account with 2FA? They already said that your limit is 2K$ without verifying.
Second: If you don't want to verify your account, just keep withdrawing smaller amounts each day, like equal to $1950 per day till all your funds are withdrawn.
I know there will be higher fees with the second option, but that is the fee you're paying to not verify your account.

I have recently withdrawn using the second option and I have received bitcoin funds quite quickly without any hassle.

You obviously didn't read any of my reply posts. I have a legacy account that is verified. I do have 2-FA turned on. But its unnecessary because they require that you provide a code sent via email to you in order to log in in the first place. I wasn't trying to withdraw over $2000 at one time -- they kept a ton of my NEM without sending it, and now they are keeping an equal value of my BTC.

Goody goody for you. I'm so happy for you that Polo hasn't scammed you yet. Meanwhile I'm living in a mosquito-ridden AirBnB in the middle of provincial Philippines because I can't get my money out of Polo. I can't sleep, I can't concentrate on work, I barely even get internet here. This sucks. They are wasting my life away for no discernible reason. So I have every right to call them out on their criminal behavior until they do the right thing and release my funds.

Like I said, I've been a customer with them for almost 4 years. And now this, out of the blue. With no explanation. But go ahead and keep using Polo, if you're a fool.
Maybe they froze your account because you tried to access it from the Philipines instead of the US (which appears to be where you are from)? Did you get a response yet?

Last year they had frozen my account since I had accessed it from a country that Uncle Sam didn't like. It took me over one month to get back access. Now Poloniex has been acquired by a company backed by Goldman Sachs, so no exit scam in preparation.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I Received An Email From MyEtherWallet on: February 26, 2018, 11:59:53 PM
Luckily you have found out it was just another phishing attempt. As far as I know MyEtherWallet does NOT send email to its customers, first of all because it does not know their addresses ! Cheesy
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN][TWIST] TWIST : Revolutionising Blockchain Accessibility 🚀 on: February 26, 2018, 11:57:18 PM
The most interesting project at this time. Great idea, good implementation.
There is no mass plum on the stock exchange, everyone keeps it.
I am glad that I saw and became interested in this project on time. I think he will fly to the moon.

At first it seemed just one of the so many /too many) airdrops, but something was smelling different, and now I am getting more and more convinced that the Twist project will deliver, and will deliver BIG.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Persona - Your Own Digital Self on: February 26, 2018, 11:54:49 PM
I sincerely apologize if this was already asked. I can choose how to make a contribution (btc, eth, ark). If I choose Eth, what happens next after I send the money?

In fact, the IСO of this project has already ended, so this issue is no longer relevant.
However, if you want to know the answer to this question, then it is the following: when you send the ETH or BTC, participating in IСO, in return you get tokens of the current Project.

Advantage is that you get them before the rest.
Therefore, when a token is released to the exchange, you can put them on sale at an excellent price and thus earn on the difference between your purchase and your sale.

Plus - sometimes the token gives the opportunity to use the services of the Project when these services become available for use.

This ICO has already ended? When? I gave a look at the bounty campaign and it seems still running. Not very nice in any case the fact that there is so little information. Perhaps it means the team is not so much committed to the project.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TWIST] TWIST : Revolutionising Blockchain Accessibility on: February 21, 2018, 11:52:23 AM
Hi, that price is too sad  Undecided

Is there anyone who wishes to translate?
I made an image with no text. (psd files)
I hope this will help.

TWIST IMAGES

The airdrop has been very big and it has happened very fast, and nobody has paid for any of the coins, so it is understandable that the price is low initially, some people would even sell their butts for a couple of instant dollars Smiley
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TWIST] TWIST : Revolutionising Blockchain Accessibility on: February 21, 2018, 12:56:51 AM
Good day, I applied for the airdrop with my ERC20 wallet but I haven't received the airdrop yet. Since it should had been distributed by 15.02. herewith I open "a ticket" of a sort.

lol this is not an ERC20 token

Man, you've got too many shittokens airdrops in your life, now you cannot any more recognize a real coin with a real wallet - LoL.

EDIT - I have later read the post where it's explained that is was just a post in the wrong thread.
